After waiting almost a year on the waiting list I finally got an appointment with a therapist who sounded like a good fit. We had 3 virtual visits and when I rescheduled the 4th I never heard back from her.

This organization after trying to work with them through the pandemic has pretty much let me see that many people go into this field for the wrong reasons.Office staff is generally unorganized and rude. They also pressure medication management over looking at the entire persons situation. I needed help to maintain my health insurance due to dealing with my mental health impacting my job security. I was told they can’t help with documentation to ensure ADA protection, but they could give me more medicine. So, after losing my job due to my mental state, I asked for a weaning schedule for the meds I was currently on. They refused to (specifically Dr Ashai) provide one and then told me I can apply for state assistance. Umm… state assistance won’t pay rent… so I don’t even know if I will have to move to another state with family which means a lapse in insurance. If you only want them to fill scripts, I guess it is fine. If you need more comprehensive support, look elsewhere. I elected to check myself into a more intense program before my insurance runs out. Hopefully I can get through this crisis and find another job before I’m evicted.Therapists here are okay… but crazy thing is… the nurses and doctors on the medicine side even ignore them when they try to advocate for their patients. Crazy. I won’t mention the therapists because I definitely don’t think they are to blame for this nonsense.

Ive spoken to a few therapists throughout the years. I can say that I havent had a connection with the therapist as I have with Psych Associates of Maryland. Ive spoken to Renata and Nadia. I had a wonderful session with both therapists. Highly recommend this center!

Ive turned several people on to this practice over the last 6 years. However I can no longer say Id recommend P.A.M to anyone. Over the last 3 years its become increasingly difficult to get the office staff to take care of communications with my insurance company, or for that matter to just do their jobs. To add insult to injury last week when I went to schedule my next appointment, Im told my doctor no longer practices here, but that theyd be more than happy to pair me with a doctor who seems to specialize in children and adolescents. No thank you. Im grateful for the services rendered and for the hard work of the previous staff and doctors, but I cant see much sense in working with someone who doesnt want to work for me.

Just got off the phone with a rep who was setting up a telemed appointment with the doctor. Hard for me to understand why I was being rushed off the phone without getting all the info needed. I might have taken it better if it wasnt a psychiatry practice that specializes in the human mind and calming all that ails me, but must say it set me back a bit. Unbelievable experience..

The front desk staff is helpful and polite, they often go out of their way to help when any issue is perceived.I had a billing inquiry / dispute with my insurance company and the front desk ladies were super helpful to me. They printed out all my invoices and put a note on my account to not ask for billing while I worked it out with my insurance company.I wish every medical office had a front desk that was helpful like this to be honest.

*UPDATE 6/12/20*They reached out to me to follow up about my experience and were very polite and apologetic over the phone. I will be trying their services again soon and will update my review again then as well.-I made an appointment before MD was officially quarantined for about a month later. They didnt send me any information about my appointment once quarantine was in place. No email about teletherapy or how to fill out paperwork. I finally emailed them about my appointment and they sent me the paperwork over a hard to use PDF editor application. They didnt give any more info about teletherapy. I didnt even know who I was supposed to see. The appointment time came and went with no email or phone call. I called them and the automated message said it was best to email, so I did. They never got back to me and I never had my appointment.

My first appointment was cancelled only an hour before I was scheduled. The next appointment, two weeks later, I sat in the waiting lobby for almost two hours before the receptionist informed me that my therapist had forgotten my appointment and did not schedule it. The receptionist told me she was not surprised. This was after I checked in with my name and paid my copay, yet the office did not inform me my name wasnt even on the list. My therapist called me three hours later saying her back was hurt and thats why she forgot to schedule me for the second appointment, and she flatly said she assumed I wasnt going to come back and told me okay, goodbye when I said yes mam.For someone who would benefit greatly from a therapist and has had reservations in the past, this woman, Helen, has ruined my experience and made me feel guilty about it.I would never recommend this office for someone struggling with mental issues, as they handled this issue with excuses and low responsibility. Giving one star is generous.

Dr. Ashai is absolutely wonderful. She doesnt come across as judgemental or condescending at all. She listens, asks relevant questions and genuinely seems interested in what I have to say.

Renata is a wonderful provider for psychiatric medicine. She saw me as a breastfeeding mother, welcomed my infant in her office, and takes time to discuss options at length without brushing off anything I say. Shes very understanding and I recommend her to any mothers struggling with PPD/PPA, breastfeeding or not.

There are no enough things I can say about Dr Krishna as a physician and a as person. I dont think I would be here today writing this if it wasnt for him. Being in the medical profession for plus years i have dealt with hundreds of medical professionals , and in those 30 years of being a nurse I can count on one hand the number of physicians that I felt truly cared from their core, who wanted to make a difference who didnt make you feel rushed, who took the time to listen, who should true compassion. Dr Krishna would be one of those few Drs. I thank him for all he has done for my family as well as myself. On another note I want to thank Cassie the front desk, gal Friday of the Columbia office, for always being professional and positive while dealing with such a unique clientele your the main reason I switch from Towson to the Columbia office !!!!

I was referred to this office by my family doctor and am very displeased with this office. They are rude, unprofessional and do not care about their patients. The doctors are far from educated and the office staff talk and act like they came straight off the street, no business sense or common sense for that matter. There is no concern for what the patients needs are and all about money. I truly hope people that really need help find it somewhere else, this is NOT a place to go when you need any type of help.

Dr. Ashai was nice to talk with but the staff at the Columbia office are atrocious. Scheduling appointments is like pulling teeth, the people in the office and on the phone are rude and miserable people. If you are looking for help you will be beaten down before you can even get to talk to someone. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go.

Dr. Ashai is great, but the office staff is horrible. I tried calling because I thought I might be having an allergic reaction to my meds, but they never answered the phone & never returned my messages. I tried to reschedule an appointment & had the same problem. Ive also had to remind them to charge me my co-pay when I went in for an appointment. Theyre nice, but nice doesnt matter if you cant keep up with your work. It seems like the office has too many patients & just cant handle it. Im sick of never being able to reach them, so Im going to start going elsewhere.

I left a review a couple months ago and they reloaded their page so all the reviews are gone. Just know that they had one of the lowest ratings you could get which is why they have no reviews now. Horrible staff/front desk, theyre unprofessional and should not be in the health care business.
