I highly recommend this company. I did have an issue with communication, but that has since been rectified, and the owner of the company went to great lengths to try to make it right, which they did, promptly and professionally. (That can happen anywhere, and at least McVey Mowing takes customer care and service seriously). They do a great job on the lawn and weed-whacking, and I would consider them for any additional jobs or services needed. Super-friendly and professional staff, and reliable service. Again, I would highly recommend this company.

Weve used McVey Mowing for about five years now. During this time, theyve mowed our large yard, front and back every two weeks in the summer.The mowing is careful, neat, and exactly to the length I request. They edge sharply and deeply. The crew cleans up completely--not a stray blade of grass anywhere. Theyre fast and for people using power equipment, quiet. Both of those things are important, as I work from home. They are also utterly reliable. I have never had to wonder if theyll show up.Finally, theyre thoughtful and always close the gate behind them. This is particularly important, as when I let the dog out, I depend on the gate being shut.Theyre easy to work with and have online payment, so I dont have to hassle with cash or checks. I strongly recommend them!

To begin with, they dont mow my yard but my neighbors. Theyre fairly fast but they arent very respectful to the neighboring yard of where they work. In the fall when there are leaves in the yard theyd blow a bunch to our side even after we already cleaned our side. And they leave a big mess in the middle of the road. I understand their lawnmowers are powerful and are throwing far but perhaps they should mow in the direction thats throwing towards the yard, like a homeowner like me with a meekly push mower does. Then they blow it further away when theyre done. Big contrary to the lawn guy that does the yard across the street, who always cleans up spotless on the street.

We hired McVey Mowing Service to do a large landscaping job at our home. Our property is hilly and has large areas of wash along our driveway, other hills, and along a small creek. Several areas of the property never had good top soil and they needed to be filled In and reseeded.Keith and Tim did a professional job of adding top soil in the washed out areas and placing large rocks (rip rap) along the creek bed. They re-seeding and added protective matting to prevent future erosion. They were conscientious, competent and very pleasant to work with.We also removed old shrubs and planted evergreens to complete a pleasant and finished look at the entry. Overall, we would give a 5*(out of 5*s) rating and we would not hesitate to recommend McVey Mowing to anyone seeking their services.

McVey was hired by the property management company that I lease a house from to drop and spread gravel on my driveway. They did a great job, the employees who did the work were very friendly and professional, and the service has provided a big improvement to the driveway!

I contacted McVey Mowing regarding the mowing of my lawn as Im unable to do it at this point of time. Ben was very helpful and responded right away and answered all questions I had. Unfortunately, my property has a chain link fence and gate. Their equipment is too big to fit through, and so he gave me the info and referred me to two other companies. So even though I was unable to use their services, I found them to be very professional, courteous, and very helpful.

The gentleman that mowed my lawn today got grass on my pickup today and then rinsed the grass off! I have never seen another company do anything like this before. I have great respect for them.

Ben and his employees were very pleasant. They did a excellent job removing leaves and debris from the beds, edging the beds, trimming shrubs, and installing mulch. The cost of this service was entirely reasonable. I highly recommend McVey Mowing.

Ben is reliable, very friendly, and responds right away to questions. McVey Mowing is reasonably priced and the guys do a great job with mowing, trimming, and clean-up. Ben does an amazing job. He has taken care of my lawn care needs as well as some of my familys that live in the area for years. I recently moved to the KC area and really miss the professional and friendly service. He has an excellent attention to detail. Doesnt over mow and charge for unnecessary services. I like the diagonal line look and Ben did it perfectly with impressively straight lines. We had a couple flower beds that got so over grown which I thought would be a nightmare but Ben made it a piece of cake and was able to complete it under our budget.
