The worst place Ive ever been to. That place needs to do better for the ones who stay there. The food is always overcooked over undercooked. I have gotten food poisoning from them three times. They have bedbugs. The staff and security are disrespectful even if you show them respect. I dont see how people could really give them good ratings for how they run that place, treat people, and not to mention other serious concerns.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars.ANYONE thats spoken highly of this place either never stayed there or works there. The entire place/staff needs an overhaul desperately! I used to stay here and it felt more like a federal prison rather than a transitional home. The staff is more concerned with bullying and micro-policing their residents. Especially Cheryl Carter (security), who once threatened to put every resident outside until she got off work OVER A FEW PIECES OF TRASH. There are a few great staff members (shoutout to Ms Alysha and Cheyenne) but everyone is twisted. Any organization that sponsors this place needs to take a closer look at what these residents go through. The people who still live there are scared to speak up because they dont want lose their bed. Please RUN!

Im not in the shelter, but I have someone I know there. Im very grateful that they were able to take him in and help him. They have gave him so much hope and appreciation that people do care.I see most of the reviews are negative. They are doing the best they can and you must do your part. Dont lash out try and help them help you make it a better place. Its a warm place with food trying to get people in need in a better place.God bless.

This place has the most disrespectful staff and security.. They think because people are homeless and in need of help they can talk and treat them any kind of way.. You give them respect and they still disrespect and be rude to you because their title say staff or security.. Someone please do something about the there staff and this place would be a much better place to come for help..

This institution is lacking in consistency. A printed set of rules and guidelines is sorely needed.Though they accept handicapped individuals, they lack even the most basic of amenities for the blind.

Worst place Ive ever been to in my life. THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE. They dont care about you at all. Theyre there to get paid not to inspire you or help serve your needs. This place is very deceiving. There needs to be a huge change within the whole organization. The staff will treat everyone like youre on drugs with no obligations (job). Very gross place as well with horrible sanitation requirements. Fights happen a lot with disrespectful people everywhere. Got out as soon as possible.

Applied to the job and had an interview today at 11. I called earlier at 9 to double check the time so I can arrive at least 30 mins earlier. I got a call back stating my interview was canceled because if I was serious about the job I wouldve remembered and Im in college and this is a full time position. I understand what the title entails. I applied to help this community I dont like to be given reasons like that when Im told my interview is canceled. Just thought I voice my experience.

I came here with my Job to Feed the individuals in the Facility breakfast on Thanksgiving. I was very thankful for them allowing me to do such task and Touched to see so many faces that dont have family, friends or Homes. It hit harder when I saw someone that worked with for a couple years , come to receive a plate of food from our line. I was kind of Upset that there wasnt enough food quantity, but plates were still filled for there to be 3 rounds of food given for those who wanted more. I will actually be back After Christmas.

I stayed here once when I got stranded in Columbia. Its NOT what the picture insinuates. Just imagine sleeping in a dorm of 30 homeless people with colds, the flu, hepatitis, going through withdrawals, Tuberculosis ECT. And going in the bathroom to get away from all the madness to discover a group of addicts smoking crack and heroin. Not to mention a guy ODd in my dorm on my 3rd day there and died.......smh, Needs better management.

This place is supposed to help the homeless in appropriate living placement. My living area had Bed bugs infested. The staff that yelled/screamed at me ( Ms Tamara ) was very disrespectful to me. My caseworker Mr Trey Washington knows that I dont bother no one nor do I talk to anyone with hatred / yelling when I communicate with them. This place only helps the picked and choosed/favoritism.. this place is definitely unorganized & not safe for people are actually rebuild they life in a productive manner.

This place is a total disaster, the staff are horrible people. They make you feel lower than you feel already by being homeless. The security is deplorable, the case workers are incompetent, and the program is designed only to rake in donations. They care nothing about people, just profits. The only, and I mean only person on the staff that is a true professional is Charles Chuck Crumpton. He is a saint, and shouldnt waste his time, or intellect on this horrific place. He is the only one who cares about people. I could list name after name of insidious staffers, but will give you the worst five. Starting from the worst. (Only have first names of several because they dont want you knowing too much about them)1. Alicia Wilkes2.Miriam (Womens Program)3. Alicia (Youth Case Mgr.)4. Mrs. English (Long Term)5. Chapel (Security)These people represent not only the worst of Transitions, but the worst of humanity. They should all have to live there, and feel what its like to be kicked while youre already down. They should be removed from their positions immediately, and should never work with the public again. Shame on you Transitions for letting their lack of human decency continue.

Im 2months away from having my first son, and ive been in this shelter 1 month and a half, ive been exposed to bed bugs that wont go away.. You ask for them to treat your bed for bed bugs and they tell you if its after hours just wait until in the morning. Ive went through this process 3 times.. Told staff they are all in the walls of the facility. As well as made a suggestion to treat the whole dorm at once instead of one bed only when reported. The staff is very rude, not only rude... But try their best to offend you in any type of way.... From how you talk to how you look or dress. Now we are here to try to better ourselves but need resources and support as well. Im a diabetic prior to my pregnancy my dovtor has sent 3 notices to them about my health and diet. Yet nobody has acknowledged anyone in my doctors office or approved anything. Yet im still getting sick from the half cooked and half spoiled food that we are fed here.... Yet we cant bring our own food into this place. This place is a disappointment. And needs to have classes for their staff on professionalism and equal opportunity... I just really want those staff to know they could end up in all of our shoes. I wish they could switch positions and see what and how they do us. They wouldnt like it at all.

Must leave dorms each morning at 8:30 a.m or be kicked out of shelter. Must be in bed at 10pm for nightly bed count , or kicked out of shelter for 30 days. Must go to classes MON-SAT, or kicked out of shelter. MUST do daily room chores and shelter community chores, or kicked out of shelter. MUST report to dorm manager once a week with proof you did ALL chores and classes, or kicked out of shelter for 6 MONTHS or more.

The food is horrible stale sometimes over cook as well as under cooked. The case managers really dont care about the people who are there trying to get their lifes together. Transitions only cares about how much money each client can provide. There are more drugs sold inside that place than outside on the streets. Some of the counselors try to set you up for failure. They are a very bytes place its all about the color of your skin and how much money you can pay them in order to keep your bed. If your working they take at least half your check just so you can keep your bed. The place sucks and doesnt truly help people they hinder them more than help.
