Although I have never actually resided at Donleigh, having lived near and associated closely with Mike, Joanie, and the many residents from years past, I can unequivocally say that they/it gives newcomers and veterans of AA/NA a bedrock of both support and stability. They (Mike and Joanie), being involved in 12-step programs respectively, are involved in this for the simple reason that they care. When you are a resident at Donleigh, you immediately become part of and obtain many of the necessary tools needed for a recovered lifestyle-- community, support, encouragement, shelter (duh), etc. I would ONLY recommend Donleigh to those that are serious about recovery.
