Refuse and Recycle truck employees dumped trash in my driveway and slammed my can in my driveway. I approached them and they blew me off. The conversation turned bad quickly and I don’t think its time you put a new set of guys on our route. My neighbor is 81 years old and she had to put a sign on her trash can that says “Please Be Gentle!” It’s discussing the way they treat the Hopewell Community. Thank God for Surveillance!

I have used this company for ten years and occasionally they missed picking up my trash but would usually come by and get it after a phone call. Recently, they missed picking up the trash but after three days of phone calls with promises to come and get it, they did not. I’m tired of this. This is no way to treat your customers. Good riddance.

I applied for a job and decided to follow up on the application, the lady anwering the phone Jenny is really rude and hung up on me and then ignored the following calls this place is just as trash as the trash its picking up

This company damaged my mothers property by driving a truck into her yard. They would not take responsibility for paying for any of the repairs. After calling and speaking to numerous representatives and providing all the pertinent information they just ignored me.

They frequently “forget” to pick up the trash. Then I have to call multiple days in a row to ask them to do their job. The trash will sit at the curb for days because they just won’t pick it up. Very frustrating. I’m switching to a different company. I don’t know how they’re still in business. Please do not use this company if you have a choice!

Not recommended!! I used their services for 10 years, until they cancelled my service. They cashed my check a day late and claimed it was MY fault! Myra (I think) was extremely rude and did not even try to work with me. I have switched services. Good riddance!

I had their service a few years ago and they never missed a pick up. However, I did have problems with the billing department, so I ended up cancelling the service with them.The company I was using recently was sold to another company (unreliable) and I also need the service on a specific day, so I called Ecology to reactivate service with them to find out I was on the do not service list because of payment (I had same issue as most people here, I called to pay my upfront for that year, (I believe it was 2016) to find out I had to pay the 2015 because my previous payment supposedly never went thru and they never notified me either.) I paid both years and cancelled right then to be done with them.However, I am writing this review because THEY ARE UNDER NEW ADMINISTRATION. Thus, when I was informed of the blockage on my address I requested to speak with the manager who was very understanding. I explained to her what had happened with my billing years ago, so she listened and lifted the blockage on my address/name.Therefore, I advise you to give them a chance now because these new people seem committed to gain their reputation back and the trust from old customers by providing a good customer service.(I spoke with someone named Janine, but I don’t know if she is the receptionist or the manager, either way they both were excellent.)

The company forgets to pick up trash, customer service is awful, unreliable, website for pickup is unreliable, expect you to contact them when they forget to pick it up (which is often), refuse to provide any sort of solution when they make a mistake

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! If that didnt make you reconsider, then read on. I had ESRR for almost 10 years. This year, it became the worst company Ive ever dealt with. They missed two pick up dates and I called to rectify. They came the next week and then missed the next two weeks. I called again. They came the next week and then missed the next week. After three calls and seven missed weeks, I canceled my service on July 22. I had paid through the end of the year so I should have been refunded for August-December (5 months - $70). They absolutely refused to refund me for all of the missed pick up dates. Its now September 13 and still no refund in sight. I have called approximately 10 times and spoken to Allison, Erika, Kelly and now a new person today. None of them can approve a refund and you are NOT allowed to talk to their supervisor - i.e., the person who needs to approve the refund in the first place. They have promised to call back every time and I have yet to ever get a call back. Supposedly, there has been some amazing level of turnover and the whole company has gone down the drain. Once again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Its too bad I cant leave a lower rating than 1 star because this company doesnt even deserve 1. They are very nice on the phone and the price is low but I havent had any pickup for 4 weeks. My account is paid for the next 2 quarters so they have NO EXCUSE. I guess Ill just eat the expense and hire someone who will pick up every week

I agree with recent reviews. Used them for years without issue. But last year has been very poor service. Yes, the woman representative Allison is nice, but can never resolve anything. Zero stars is what my rating should be, because Ive received zero trash pickups for 6 weeks, including all of June. My trash stewed in the sun, smelled awful, and infested by maggots. I paid my bill and got zero service. And Allison would NOT refund my payment, despite my multiple complaints! Done with this horrific company!

If theres a holiday during a week, I can pretty much guarantee my trash wont be picked up anymore. Even with the company publishing a holiday schedule and moving our pickup day this year to accommodate more customers.

We have had Ecology for several years and have received excellent service. The only problem was last year with billing as they missed billing us for 3 quarters. I now pay automatically through my bank so I dont have to worry with if I get a bill or not. btw, I do get all my quarterly bills through the mail.

Ecology Services has a long history of destroying recycle bins by throwing them on the ground after recycling pick-up, and their employees are not highly trained as their website claims. Calls to their president, Tim Osborne, to address such issues, are never returned. A company that doesnt return phone calls is a company that doesnt care about your business. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Been with them for 8 years and have had completely reliable service. The one time trash wasnt picked up it was bc I put it out later then I was supposed to and missed them. I discovered this when I called them, and the kind lady on the phone still offered to come back despite my error. Prices are very reasonable.

I have had this company for 4 years. First three years were fine. This last year I have not received a quarterly bill at all from them. I have to call at least 3 times before I receive a statement every three months. Also they have not pick up are trash 3 different times this year. When you call to complain you always talk to the same young woman that refuses to let you speak to a billing department and is very rude. My bill is late ever quarter due to this companies lack of professionalism and inadequate employees. It seems because we are a private residence and not in the townships of Carroll County were they get bulk paid for there service they dont really care about your business. Our bill was due on the first I have called twice still no statement. This company is horrible.

Awful, awful, awful. Don’t let the one star fool you - I wish I could give negative stars. I have tried to call and i’ve sent emails, only to be totally ignored. I wanted to change our service - ignored. I wanted to cancel our service - ignored. The only person i’ve ever spoken to is Alison, and I feel very badly for her because she seems really sweet but, seeing as she’s the only one who answers the phone, i’m sure she must get an earful on a regular basis. They are not the only trash company in the area, how they have any customers is anyone’s guess, as of today they have one less, and it is a huge relief that I will never have to deal with them again.

The customer service at this company is absolutely appalling. They do not return phone calls. They do not send bills properly. They make it impossible to pay your bill. When you do get someone on the phone they are rude, combative and unhelpful. The low prices of trash collection are not worth the hassle for everything else you have to deal with.

I watched as an employee purposely destroyed my trash can. I called and spoke to employees and found that there was no sincerity no apologize only an attitude that is was somehow my problem and not something they were willing to do anything about.Yes it is only a trash can but the principle of the action and the response of the company warrants a complaint.
