After several calls where they were following up on my initial curiosity about their service, and being told we only talk about that in person after asking on price, or number of women clients etc., I finally agreed to an in person appointment. The person on the phone couldnt give me directions to the office nearest me - which turned out to be a rent-by-the-hour business suite - because they had never actually been there. The agent they scheduled me to meet didnt answer her phone when I called for directions, and it took me about 40 minutes to get in touch with someone who could verify the address, and buzz me into the building. Before introductions, an explanation of their service, or an outline of what we were going to cover during the meeting, I was asked for my social security number so they could run a quick credit check on me. When I asked what relevance that had on a discussion about what they could offer me as a service, her reply was we want to make sure you qualify first.Clearly they were more interested in what I was able to spend, than in what I was looking for. I politely, but firmly, let her know that I didnt have any intention of giving a total stranger, in a temporary office, my social security number before we had even talked about costs of their service, or indeed *what* those services were. She irritably said It could cost $500, or $7,000, but we wont know until we do a credit check. I followed up with a few more questions about what this entailed, what kinds of clients they have, etc. With each question she got more viably angry, and stated that she couldnt continue without the paperwork being done.At this point I decided at best this was a cash-grab, at worst an outright phishing scam, and told her I wasnt interested. She was *litterally* yelling at me as I was leaving their office about how I was being unreasonable and how no one else has a problem with this.Might be a great service, but if you cant EXPLAIN that service before you go checking to see what you can charge me for it, Im not interested.

Buyer beware! My brother joined this matchmaking scam. They take your $3,000.00 (for 6 months service!!!), make you go through this long process of filling out forms so they can match you with someone that you are compatible with. Such a lie! They also make you sign a No Refund contract so you cant even dispute their lousy service. THEN the guy at Maryland Matchmakers tells my brother he legally knows you cant get your money back! My brother had lost his wife last year, they took advantage of his loneliness and desire to have companionship! How dare they!

Total scam. Never matched me with anyone that matches my preferences. Paid thousands of dollars to be set up in a date with a cable guy and a construction worker after telling them Education was important to me. They asked about my height preferences and completely ignored them. I asked for at least 5’10”. I’m 5’”5” and one of the guys was shorter than me. They tried to convince me that my preferences were unreasonable after I had paid them and had gone over all of these things.

If I could offer any less than a star I would.DO. NOT. DO. THIS!!!!1. It took three weeks and five communications to get into contact with one of their client services representatives (the matchmakers). This is after they had their fee.2. When the client services representative could not help me she hung up.This was one of the worst mistakes I ever made and the worst experiences I ever had. The process is convoluted and mapped out completely differently than outlined in the sales pitch or the orientation. The referrals were not interested in the process and took days and weeks to respond, even before we had our first conversation.I outlined my concerns and asked to speak to a manager and they would not give me a name, title or any way to voice my concerns and work out a solution.
