The absolute WORST place you could move to in Columbia!!! Been here for a year & I’ve been counting down the days till I move out. Multiple things I went wrong: pipes weren’t connected so things from the toilet would leak into the hall & closet. I smelled like I was living in a sewer. It took maintainer over 2 months to even come out & LOOK at the issue. When they came they didn’t even know what to do! They had to call Dr. Rooter. Mold began to appear & I told the front office, it took the almost 3 weeks to come & paint over the MOLD!! I have paperwork to prove they just painted over it nothing else!! Both of the toilets continuously runs. We’re paying for pest control, you would think they would come once a month & spray INSIDE the units not OUTSIDE around the buildings. Units have roaches really bad, it’s like your room-mating with them! Management need to refocus and change things within the units. Seems like they only care about roofing and the grass. I have so many pictures I honestly wish I could post them with the review. The front office NEVER answers the phone, you have to go to the office yourself if you want to talk to anyone. They could do a lot better with tenants paying $1000+ rent & this place is NOT work more than $850! I WOULD NOT move here!!

Lovely apartment complex. Its a good place to live for a first apartment, but plan on leaving a couple years after. Maintenance takes up to 3 weeks to reply. Palmetto bugs everywhere no matter how clean you keep your space. Even in the tub!!! The only complaint I have is that there is never any parking in front of my building. I am always having to park across the street by the pool area. Non residents take up all of the parking spots. I would suggest a better system for this. Placards, maybe? Just inconvenient especially when you work at 7am every morning. Other than that, good complex.

It took so long to find peace here. This is my 3rd apartment in the complex. Dishwasher doesn’t work and now the worst part is I live beside a neighbor with a pit bull that is NEVER on a leash! I have complained and nothing has changed. I have 4 small children. This place is too small for pets over 20 lbs. but they allow the pet owners to do whatever they want. I will SUFFER in fear through this lease then I’m done!!

The 5 stars rating is because Ebony is awesome! When I called with some questions she went above and beyond to assist me and graciously/patiently demonstrated that she sincerely wants to take care of her residents. There is a lot of opportunity to improve the grounds and property- but I feel much happier about staying here with Ebony holding it down for us! Thank you Ebony!!!

If I could give zero starts I would. Management never fixes anything!! I’ve had a leak in my dining room/kitchen for months now. Every time they come out it never gets fixed. I just had a baby and asked for it to be completed before she got here due to covid!! A/C doesn’t work upstairs at all. Was told someone was coming out and they never did. Can’t wait to move from this place. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Gleneagale apartments not having me listed as a resident is another example of the poor management. I’ve been living here since July of 2020. Yesterday, myself and my roommate was yelled at by your employee Ebony. Because my roommate’s name was spelled wrong on our lease and we did not want to resign it until his name was corrected. She continue to scream and over talk us and demanded that we “Just sign the lease” with the error because she had too many lease to make to correct ours. Our rent has never been late and I do not appreciate being yelled and directed to do something that was essentially not right. That was very unprofessional! If I could leave -1 stars I would.

Love love love my tour! Jar’na the leasing agent really knows how to make a girl feel so at home! We talked for over 30 mins she was Patient with me. Answered every question I had which was ALOT. Made my apartment hunting so easy and stress free! I will recommend Glemeagle to anyone who’s looking for A new home 💕💕💕

Worst place too live. Why anyone would move in here is beyond me. We have a list of issue including no ac and NOTHING seems to get done. They care more about how the grass looks than the tennants paying 1000 a month in rent. Cant wait too move

Its great here. I love how peaceful and beautiful this place is. I havent had any issues with management or neighbors at all. The grounds are magnificent and my apartment has been pest free since Ive been here. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for peace of mind. I wanted to give it four and a half stars but I dont know how to make a half star with my phone, so...

Moved in a few days ago. There were no major concerns when walking through the apartment. Anything that needed to be addressed the front office team as well as maintenance team were very fast and efficient with taking care of the issues. For example the bulb in the kitchen was blown, as well as the towel rack in the restroom needed to be tightened. The neighborhood is quiet with easy parking right in front of my door! I look forward to the upcoming year.

We have been here since June and at first it was great! Then... management changed and went down hill from there. (1) Was told the pool would be ready in 2 weeks and never was, same with the gym. Now have to pay for a $30 membership at PF when I could be working out right here for free. (2) we have put in 2 maintenance requests for black mold in our master bathroom coming through the walls and water. (3)When they came to “fix” our sink in the it broke again. We definitely are paying too much to be having these problems and nobody at the office to answer the phone or my voicemail I left.

This review is my personal experience. I moved to Gleneagle on 10/23/20 so roughly 2 weeks ago. I came in to a long list of maintanence issues that should have been addressed prior to my moving in or should have been informed to me and allowed me to make a decision. I have now been here 2 weeks with a no working AC/Heater unit. I let them know upon moving in the AC was not working and no one ever came to check it out (found out later that the work order wasnt put in until 4 days after my move in). So then it turned cold and I realized I had no heat. Again, I let them know they attempted to fix but it is not fixable, so they said I would have to get a new unit. I asked how am I suppose to stay warm until its fixed was informed they would get me a heater, guess what...I NEVER GOT THE HEATER. I had to come out of my pocket to go purchase one. Secondly, I had issues with the guest toilet was informed they would have to replace it...guess what IT HAS YET TO BE REPLACED. Thirdly, I have a ceiling leak that again I contacted the office about I asked if teddy was considered an emergency and the young lady said and I quote I dont know but let me find out. My ceiling is leaking in my bathroom but you cant tell me if that is an emergency? But guess what....the ceiling is still leaking. The list goes on and at this point I cannot blame maintenance because there should have been a walk through done before ever leasing the apartment.But I digress.

Been here awhile and had minor issues but new management just came in and they definitely aren’t as easy to work with compared to old management (First Communities). They don’t answer phones even after leaving messages and they don’t communicate well at all. Save yourself the trouble

The staff are so rude here. If you have a problem or if they make a mistake they’ll take it out on you and yell at you. They are just very rude. Don’t recommend moving here.

When we first moved in back in August 2020 we put in several request for things to be fixed. It took multiple phone calls for maintenance to address issues. It took for me to call the management company for things to be handled. Neighbors do not respect playing music late at night. When this was brought to leasing office we were told they do not control people sleep habits of people and did not address noise complaint to other residents. In our lease it states about noises after a certain time. We pay for pest control and us thinking when we signed the lease they would come out once a month but was told they come out quarterly. AGAIN we have been here since August 2020 and pest control has never came. We pay for a service that is not being used.

I was on the fence on renewing, but after I saw how this new team was getting stuff done, and seeing the direction this community is going, I did not want to leave. Maintenance issues are getting better and they have a full team and completing them in a timely manner. The office staff is pretty cool too. Clark and Jazz I know the best. They are awesome and the two new girls Jamie and Jennifer are really sweet. Everyone in the office really cares about the residents out here and it shows every time I walk in the office. They know my name, they ask about personal things Ive been going through, and offer guidance if they arent super busy. Would defiantly recommend Gleneagle to anyone looking for a place to home. These people make it feel like home. Wish I could give it 10 stars!

Upon visiting this Apartment Complex I may have liked it until I tried to park in a Handicapped parking space and both of them of both sides of the parking lot was taken by cars that had no visible placards. And this lady got out her car and proceeded to look at a car with a placard. And these are overnight cars. So its not like this just happened. That is so disrespectful. And individuals need those parking spaces. What type of complex upholds this type of disrespectfulness. I guess Ill just have to pull in and out, until ppl realize.

Moved in a few months ago. So far everything is awesome! I call the office with a work request, and the maintenance staff takes care of it right away and they fix it right the first time. Office staff has made me feel at home ever since I came to apply. Always nice to get a smile when Im having a bad day. Sometimes I hang around in the office and get to know the staff a little better. They are all some really cool people that care about us out here. I have heard from others about the bad reviews, and read them for myself. Take them with a grain of salt, behind every situation is two sides and we only see one side of the story I have referred a few friends to come out here and two have already applied. If things keep going like this, I will defiantly be renewing my lease here. Thank you Gleneagle for all you have and are doing for us. Real recognize Real.

I find that Gleneagle is quiet. The staff is polite and cordial and found Clark to be a real asset and would recommend Clark to help you find your new place to stay. I’ve lived here for 2years and haven’t found a better staff. Jamie and Denise are nice and offer to help any way they can. I get my issues addressed in a timely manner.

I worked with a gentleman named Clark I’m the leasing office and he was amazing! He assisted me with options available and was patient and kind. Gleneagle is a lovely place and although I didn’t go thru with moving in, I would recommend anyone to come in and make it home.

Many people make decisions based off what others may say, but I’ve had the pleasure to personally tour this apartment complex, and I left absolutely satisfied. When I walked in, they warmly greeted me like I was already a resident there, answered every question I had thoroughly, and even gave me some answers to stuff that I hadn’t thought of, but needed to know. They were willing to meet all my needs and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place in the Columbia area!

My uncle moved in two weeks ago and is having trouble with BUGS! The apartment was not cleaned when he moved in and the air conditioning unit does not work. He has called the office as well as myself to have the bug problem resolved and someone came out and said they were spraying but the must have used water because the bugs like it. My uncle is elderly and doesnt like to hassle anyone but I will on his behalf. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone

Just moved in to the complex last week. My apartment is pretty, big and was clean. No issues or complaints. Maintenance did come by to help me with my truck; it wouldnt start back up. Overall, the staff has been pretty cool. I worked with Denise to get an apartment and she helped on my move in day. She was really nice and helpful.

When I tell you this has been the best experience when looking for apartments believe me. I just moved in and I love my apartment I had no trouble moving in ASAP my application took no time to process and I moved in this pass weekend the office staff helped me from beginning to end Jasmine was a great help with information and Jamie was very friendly and welcoming and Clark and Jennifer are very professional when going over my lease I love the neighborhood it’s very peaceful n welcoming

Very friendly staff. Clark, Jaz, and Mrs. Denise have been outstanding taking care of my needs and have shown me respect since I moved in. Any issues that I have are fixed appropriately and quickly. Rooms are spacious with friendly neighbors. Overall a nice quiet place to live.

Gleneagle is a great community! I live in a Townhouse and I love it the staff is great also Jasmine, Clark ,Jamie and Jennifer make sure I’m taking care of , the Maintance staff are also awesome what ever I need is fixed in a timely fashion I made a great choice moving here plan on renewing next year!

I have never in my life felt so mistreated and disrespected! I came in the office to get a air filter that was taken out of my townhouse this morning along with being told that the 2 air conditioner units will finally be returned to the upstairs bedroom windows because my air isn’t working properly again this summer. Hours later I came back to my home and felt the humidity and the air quality was at its very lowest. The maintenance guy told me he had to remove the window units from another apartment, I understood that but more then 5 hours later with no air filter with a unit barley working made matters worse. I came to the office asking about my new filter it’s was around 3:45pm. Denise the new manger wanted me to come in her office. I felt more comfortable standing by the door of her office. At that point she asked what was going on with my air unit. I explained the REAL ISSUE and that per a very qualified person “whoever bought that unit brand new didn’t buy the right size for the square footage.” Until that was resolved it will never work correctly. She out right told me that they will not put window units back upstairs, and that I was on my own with that issue. “Buy more fans” She then got upset with me because I asked for the filter. Despite the fact that I was just lied to by the maintenance guy. She felt like I had no right to ask for a filter, she said she would put in a work order, with no specific time of when I will be getting a filter put back in. I told her that wasn’t acceptable and that I needed to know at what time someone will be returning to my townhouse because it was getting close to closing time and the air quality was getting really bad. She got furious with me because I needed a answer. Then she told me I needed to leave and that me sitting in the office wouldn’t help me to get a filter. She then threatened to call the police on me if I didn’t leave the office. So I welcomed the threat because maybe the officer could get the filter for me??? I mean at the end of the day, if I’m not cursing or threatening anyone I haven’t broken any laws. Now what I didn’t know but soon realized was Denise had her own laws. The law of being a egotistical psychopath, that thinks she can not only talk to people in anyway she sees fit that she can do whatever she wants, by way of withholding air filters and threatening the police if nobody jumps when she say jump. I asked for her bosses name and number and she refused to give me any information. Saying that it was against the policy..... I lived at the legend of Lake Murray for many years and other wonderful apartment home establishments and have never had ANY ISSUES with anyone in the front office. This issue is clearly Denise’s. After I explained to her if I have to go to the hospital for a asthma attack I will not only sue the company I will sue her. Needless to say after many eyes being placed on the situation, and her temper tantrum she finally used the radio for the maintenance man. He came into the office and as he was walking in, she demanded him to come in her office. He couldn’t say it but I did, and that was not to talk to him in that manner. He came out and said I’ll bring your filter to you. I said thank you and was so happy to leave that office. Customer service is a feeling. The feeling of being treated with respect and being treated fairly, not being lied to or being threatened in anyway. So many people are having air unit problems in this apartment complex. The complex itself is looking so much better, but until the internal issues are fixed meaning the heart of the buildings which is the air, it will only be a returning cycle of complaints and issues. Denise needs a class on customer service and anger management. Until she apologizes for her behavior I will talk to other staff concerning my needs, and I will be consulting a third party as well. If I could rate this apartment complex the outside is 5 beautiful good job and keep up the good work! 0 Denise needs a behavior make over and 0 the air units need to all be fixed properly.

The new maintenance staff is on top of my work orders and the office staff are always super friendly and welcoming. Jazz is always bubbly, Clark always makes me feel like family by teasing me, but if Im late on my rent, hes firm but very fair. The new lady, I think her name is Jamie, is SUPPPERRR nice. The new office manager Jennifer is cool too, I havent interacted much with her but she seems cool. I see great things coming to my community with the new team.

We just moved in and boy do we regret it! If we could move out we would. Denise is a rude elder and she doesn’t know how to talk to people! She should not be in this line of work because she will always be an issue I see. Clark is very sweet and Jamie is too but she doesn’t know what’s she doing. We’ve had several leaks since we been here amongst other things. Every time I ask for corporates number I never get it! YOU GUYS NEED TO DO BETTER FOR THE PRICE WE PAY!!! Customer service is important!

Whoever handles the front office needs a reality check and needs to be let go. She acts like her job is to keep people from getting a place to stay instead of trying to accommodate paying tenants. News flash you’re a glorified teller. A saleswoman for a company you do not own. There is nothing to lose in you being nice and not catching an attitude with everyone. No social skills. The speech and etiquette of a common no class unintelligent animal.

Lived here for almost 2 years. Every management they bring in is worst than the last including the latest SMP Management. They take weeks to months to fix repairs. They charge an insane amount of rent for these old apartments, AC systems barely work which makes you spend huge amounts of money on electricity, you have to keep your AC on 60 to feel relief & poorly circulates through parts of your home. The windows are single pane so your home is extremely hot in the summer & extremely cold in the winter. The neighborhood is ghetto; trash overflowing from the bins, dog poop throughout the grass, children outside blocking entrances to the breezeway, loud music pumping from car systems throughout the day. I was late paying my car taxes by approximately 2 weeks, on July 3rd I got a warning my vehicle would be towed (as I just came back from a relatives funeral) on July 5th approx 10am my vehicle was towed, I had to pay $165.00 to retrieve my vehicle which made me short on my rent which they then charged me a late fee, I pleaded with the office explaining I had never been late with the rent, to no avail as she quickly explained that notice of towing is a part of my leasing agreement. I wish I could leave this complex, wish I hadnt been encouraged to renew my lease, had I known that this would transform into this I would NOT have. Move here at your own risk!!! They have put in pretty light fixtures, flooring & stuff that you can NEVER take with you & you see the real action once you live here for awhile! Do not be fooled!

Update March 2020 : Its gotten better! Clark has been a big help. And Jasmine in the office is always pleasant. My maintenance issues have been resolved in a timely matter consistently. Its a pretty quiet neighborhood and everyone pretty much minds their business. I have a lot of packages being delivered and theyre always kept safe, and easily accessible by the staff in the office. Im hoping not to have any AC issues this summer, and if not, Ill come back and add the last star lol. Other than that. Move in, its a cool place.The units need to be replaced. End of story. When I asked for a time frame on my unit repairs the answer was I cant provide one. They have units barely working, people with no ac at all, etc. That should tell you guys something! There shouldnt be an overflow of ac repairs in the summer time. Its entirely too hot and clearly, based on other reviews and visible eindow units, a property wide problem. Oh, but the office is nice and cool. Ha! And next month, when I go into the office with my expensive electricity bill, you know because my unit NEVER turns off, I can almost bet they will reassure me that it is my PERSONAL problem. Id honestly start handing out corporate contact info. Blaming the agents for the ac, is like blaming the waitress for the food. Yes the customer service is mediocre at best, but thats irrelevant to me. I reciprocate energy. If my issues are eradicated I dont even have to physically see or speak to them. But this lack of functioning AC, that you are legally required to mantain, for almost $1000.00 a month, make this make sense.

No Air For most of the Summer,no one in that Office seems to know what they doing,these people just keep getting worst,lies lies and more lies,we going to repair your air today, today turns into never.the out dated cooling systems needs to go,they are old you people putting a bandage on the problem wont work,lease up cant wait to go, been a nightmare.
