Jim Lancaster is a rare craftsman with an attention to detail that is very hard to find today. He transformed our old home into a neighborhood show piece. I would highly recommend to anyone.

My sister in Colorado Springs has never owned a home before much less understand construction but she has many things that needed to be done to an old bungalow. She interviewed a couple other companies but felt most comfortable with Jim during the interviews and with the estimates. I am in charge of handling her trust fund; when she told me she wanted to use Jim @ High Performances Construction, I called his references and talk several times to him as well during the process of above repairs. Jim was great to work with. He was at our house for an estimate within hours of our call. He was very thorough with his work up on what needed to be done to our home. The very next day he was able to get the work started with one of his great paint crews. The painting took about a day and a half and looks great! Jim was on site and helped us with several fix ups that were needed on our property. Our neighbors have been commenting on how fast it was and how great it now looks. We will definitely be calling Jim for more jobs and have already referred him to others.

I found them to be unprofessional . Jim Lancaster expects you to pay him before the job is even finished. I paid half up front for roofing, gutters n posts to be fixed. He was hounding me for the remainder before they were even done. Repeatedly calling n texting over n over. We had an agreement standard half down half upon finished job. Yet he wouldnt stop bothering me even thgh they werent done. Then refused to finish fixing my posts because he didnt like that I wanted him to finish before being paid. He is a bully. He refused to take responsibility for his crew who left trash , debris n nails and even urine behind. I would not recommend using him.

We initially used Jim to replace our roof in Oct 2019, and he was great to work with. Very customer oriented and takes pride in doing a good job. When the shingles were on back order, Jim searched and eventually found a supplier who had them in stock so he could get the job done on time. We were also glad that he dealt with the insurance company directly, and was very reasonably priced for the extra work we wanted (installing new skylights). We were so satisfied with the roof installation, we subsequently contracted with Jim to paint the house in Nov 2018.

Jim was fantastic in getting our wood shake roof replaced and installing new gutters. He was willing to work with us on price until we were satisfied, which was very much appreciated for a family on a budget! Needed the roof replaced after the July 2016 hail storm and High Performance did a great job! Anytime I needed something I was always able to talk to Jim on the phone. He upgraded materials on the job at no extra cost to me and the roof looks amazing. A year and a half later when I thought I had a roof leak Jim and his crew came out next day after contacting him and inspected the roof and attic space. Luckily no leak from the roof job. All correct materials were procured before work start and the maintenance schedule was on point and finished with expert results. All waste was removed, and left over shingles were supplied for our later use. We required this work because upon selling our house, the buyer’s home inspector noted ponding occurring on a flat section of roofing, with the aid of a rainy day. “Lucky” us because when we purchased this house last year, it was sunny and our inspector said the roof was just fine. So this issue put us in a crunch to get the roof ponding issue repaired before closing. After speaking with a couple other roofers, it was Jim of High Performance Construction who could meet my crunched time frame and at a decent value. High Performance replaced my roof after the several bad storms Colorado Springs had. I chose this company because Jim was very knowledgable, helpful with claims, and attentive to the customer. My roof was done great and looks amazing, he even upgraded to the Class 4 shingles for free. I would recommend this company to everyone!

Jim at High Performance Construction did a phenomenal job with the siding repair and painting my house. His attention to detail and prep work gave me full confidence that my house was in good hands. All of the nail holes were caulked to really seal the siding and it was primed extensively to prevent further water damage and swelling. Once started, it only took two days for them to finish and everything was left as clean or cleaner than when they arrived. They even left the extra paint in the garage without me asking for it. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Jim. He is a great guy, very down to earth and willing to help in any way that he can.

2 years after Jim and his crew installed my roof, I noticed a small water leak. One phone call later, Jim personally inspected my roof and fixed it up. I used High Performance Construction to repair my roof and very happy I choose them. The owner Jim Lancaster really cares about making his customers happy and threw in some nice extras at no charge while doing my repairs (from the hail storm in July 2016) like upgrading our skylights, gutters, repaired some interior walls and upgraded our shingles to storm class 4 level at a low extra charge that should save us money with our insurance company in the future.They did my roof the day before Thanksgiving and I have Dish Network as my satellite company and unfortunately when they put my dish back up they didnt have it aligned correctly so I had no television service and Jim came back out and got my service working again so we had service on Thanksgiving even though he had never worked on a satellite dish before. He wants the customer to be happy! Jim examines your house and if he observes anything that should be repaired or needs attention he will let you know to help you.

Owner Jim cares very much about taking care of his customers. He did a great job helping us out with the entire process from submitting the claim, being there for the adjuster estimate, and then following through with the job. They were fast and efficient. I contacted Jim at High Performance Construction for an estimate a few months ago. I desperately needed a roof. Jim went out of his way to make sure that he matched my lowest estimate with better materials. I was in an urgent situation and Jim made sure my roof was completed as soon as possible. High Performance Construction recently replaced our roof and oversaw the replacement of our gutters as the result of a hail storm. They did an excellent job and we could not be more pleased.

Jim did our roof and gutters damaged by hail. Everything was done quickly and done well. We had some problems with our claim but Jim got us scheduled for the work right away. Anything that we had laying around in the way of the workers was moved back where it was when they finished. Everything was cleaned up out of the yard and removed.
