Went and all I heard was great things. Well only did they NOT help me by they made me feel like I was below them. They had services I later learned that they didnt even offer me...The lady in the front was rude and seemed oblivious to my issues...They help a lot of people but they didnt me...2 thumbs down...

Westside Cares really does care about the poor, disenfranchised, homeless in Colorado Springs. A versatile, volunteer staff works incredibly hard to serve this population. COVID19 has curtailed the times of service, but not the service. Call 1st & confirm Westside Cares hours. Need more centers like Westside Cares💜🤝🙏

This people are a blessing been struggling to survive past few months living in my car. They obviously dont have much to work with, but when I came in it was clear instantly they cared and wanted to help however they could.

West side cares, cares. The people there are very courteous very caring go out of their way to help you and deal with extraordinary circumstances at times. Case in point ,me. Someone stole my identity they found maybe the person who took it but they shut me off I cant get a social security card through the social security administration they told me to go to Equifax and other credit union places to verify who I am they wont do it either. I tried the DMV, thats a no-go,,, no valid ID no validating my license.... now expired.... I cant get new ones cant get an ID went through the cop shop ask them if they could identify me.. their answer was no. Ive tried for 2 months to get an ID. And cant do it, I went to Westside Cares after 15 other places and they said sure come on in ,set Me down and proceeded to get my ID for me,.. I dont know the outcome yet but it isnt for lack of them trying. everybody else just said no. Im supposed to hear something within the next couple days probably Monday 16th. Of November. Regardless if I get it or not ,,the point is they didnt drop the ball, they deal with this type of thing all the time. You might want to get some more donations over to that place, pay them a little bit more money cuz thats the only place Ive been in Colorado Springs that has bent over backwards for me without asking nothing...For themselves. I went there a few times since Ive been here, every time Im satisfied .great people- great people, great service.

I was very nervous, uncomfortable, having to ask for help, they made me feel compfortable right away with their kindness and compassion and I recieved the assistance I desperately needed. I have been blessed daily by the advocates/volunteers here. They put their heart and soul into making sure that all who are seeking help, get the help they need or directed to the people or agency/organization that can be of help. They are all phenomenal people who take their positions very serious.They have actually, in all truth, saved my life and I cant thank them enough for welcoming my cat Marvelous as well. Yes, they are pet friendly too.These are the biggest hearts I know.

I even had a emergency...and even though you are to receive help once a year they helped me anyway.. again no judgment.. it’s places like this that tax money should go to...along with donations.. I promise you these people put the money to good use..

They really helped my family and I out in a jam. They were really, really nice and super easy to work with. Everybody I came into contact with had s smile for me during a really tough time. I cant review them highly enough.

I have never asked for assistance for electric before. I am disabled & medicine and copays take all my money. They were respectful and helped me with voucher for food. GOD BLESS THE VOLUNTEERS!!

Remodeling 4 what, where did the money go?oh, must have had none I m guessing? A few showers shows a caring west side like promised. But WHO CARES. HAPPY NEW YEAR. May GOD above keep you forever close in having you your undeserving shower. [ Like hysop whiter than snow sweet Jesus,wash us all.]

Great organization that helps folks with obtain assistance in a great manner of areas. Food, clothing, phones, utility billing issues, etc. Im not even covering 10% of the many different ways they help folks. They even have a garden program teaching folks about community based sustainable gardening! The best way to find out is to go down there and speak to one of their counselors. They have helped myself and many others.

Very nice helpful people if you are in need in the springs. Get food medical and housing help as well as cloths. Get there early at 8.30 there will be coffee and snacks. Nice security guard as well.

Home away from home, so much love there. Volunteered there for years, though I will say *some of the long time volunteers treat the neighbors (individuals we serve) like criminals. Everyone gets stressed this is a great place to go to talk things through. Get your bearings and give yourself a restart. I lived the weighted blankets and massage chair.

If you live on the West Side (west of Cascade Avenue,) and find yourself in need of assistance, this is the place to go, one of the few agencies in town that actually cares about helping people in need, rather than just using you to boost their numbers (ESM and the Marian House are also very good.) They can help you with a lot of stuff, including food and clothing vouchers (as well as clothing on site, which you are more than welcome to if you can find what you need,) eye glasses, applying for Food Stamps, and a nurse on site after 9:30am. Free coffee available to guests from 8:30 to 9:30. Get there early, because the list gets long fast, but they dont start calling names until 9:30. Like I said, if you suddenly find yourself in dire straits, this place can really help you.

A little confusing on which location door is the main entrance, the waiting room is crowded with people waiting in the lobby and free phone usage. There is an offset area which has an library that I found to be very neat and the offering of clothing is nice for the donations they have recieved. The volunteers that I came across were very welcoming;and the woman that assisted me was such a pleasure to meet. She helped me to locate other resources around the area that would better assist and meet my children and my needs. I did not receive any actual assistance there at the west side cares location, but I did get to travel not to far from the main building to another location where they assisted me with food and goods. Thank. You for your support in meeting my families needs.

Westside Cares is a place where our less fortunate neighbors can get help. They have a food pantry, some clothing and vouchers for housewares. They can help with other resources as well. They are supported by over 20 churches on the west side of Colorado Springs. I send donations to them on a regular basis.

They help with food voucher and laundry voucher and clothes voucher from good will and there and I know they have a nurse their i heard that they help you with rent and with a few other things but you must live on the west side or be homeless and more less on that side of town plus you may get your mailing address their have to be set up with the staff
