They were able to get us on schedule for an estimate and then scheduled to do work. Our front yard had been destroyed by the previous owner but Dakine took our requests and gave us our dream front yard. We will be working with them again for the back yard.

When we purchased our new construction home in Banning Lewis Ranch, we were very excited, but also a bit nervous about our oversized, odd-shaped lot. We spent many hours with graph paper and pencils, trying to come up with a design that would fully utilize the space. We interviewed several landscaping companies, but Rob and his team from Dakine were far and away the best. He listened to our ideas and dreams, then put it all down in a beautiful color drawing so we could visualize it. He worked with us as we made changes to finalize the design, and even helped get the plans up to the HOA’s requirements.We had terrible weather for landscaping this winter, but when there was a break in below-freezing temps, Rob and his team were at our home, every time they said they would be. They worked quickly and efficiently, and finished when they said they would. We are still in close contact with him to ensure that we are maintaining their work, and they have come several times to adjust sprinklers as needed, or to replace plants that didn’t take root like we had hoped.Overall, we have the oasis of a backyard that we’ve been imagining for so many years, and we have Dakine Landscaping to thank!

What a great experience from start to finish. Our job only consisted of a decorative concrete patio which turned out great. Robert provided us with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. He was detailed, knowledgeable, and provided a scaled drawing and estimate the same day he came out. I had a 4x100 concrete wall that was falling down onto my elderly neighbors property. It was an extreme safety issue. Another company was to do the job but Covid hit and they closed for an indefinite amount of time. I contacted Donovan at Dakine Landscape and he had a crew out to my property within 1 week. All the men that worked on the wall were professional, friendly, punctual, dependable, and the hardest working men I have ever hired. The demolition of the concrete wall was mostly jack hammered out due to the limited amount of work space they had. They cleaned up after every single work day and were very respectable to not only my property but also my neighbor. I can not honestly say enough about Dakine Landscaping and the crew of men. I will absolutely recommend and use Dakine Landscaping again.

I contacted Dakine with a front and rear landscaping project for my new build. They were able to work with a specific look that I wanted and got me in earlier than expected! Their team is phenomenal and the work is fast and looks extremely high end. I even added in some concrete work the day of and they got it in and taken care of without delays. Robert is extremely responsive and will make sure your requests are taken care of.Will definitely be using them for more landscaping projects. Dakines work, in my opinion, is less than professional quality. We found it to be very costly when one pays Dakines original construction costs and then consequently have to pay another contractor to fix the prior landscapers (Dakine) work. The fact-of-the-matter is Dakine did not follow Eldorado Stones installation manual or adhere to masonry professional standards during construction process. Dakine constructed a 6 CMU/manufactured veneered stone privacy wall, fire pit and seating area around the pit. They constructed the privacy wall without first obtaining a soils test or a structural engineering report to assure the stability of their 6 tall CMU freestanding wall. According to our structural engineer, the wall lacks appropriate footings to support the weight and height of the wall. Additionally, the wall was capped haphazardly and the flagstone used was not evenly placed across the top of the wall as to display a flat finished professional product. Furthermore, the stone caps on the top of the wall were broken during the construction process and left as the finished product. Currently, as the photos display, water is now moving through the CMU and degrading the mortar used in the construction process. Finally, the structures were erected without proper drainage figured into the mix. When we confronted Donavon and Robert about the named construction issues well before Dakines one-year warranty period expired, they refused to honor their documented work guarantee. These photos were taken less than 6 months after Dakine Landscaper Contractors completed our project.

Dakine did a great job on our two tiered retaining wall with lighting and stamped concrete patio. If you are looking for an honest company with great craftsmanship then Dakine is the way to go!

We hired DaKine Landscape Contractors to install a front/back yard, fence, and patio/sidewalk at our newly built home. The install was fantastic. Robert designed a custom xeriscape front yard with trees, numerous shrubs and plants, rock, riverbed, mulch and boulders that look amazing. We wanted a front yard that looked like a custom xeriscape design and didnt have the typical, yard full of rocks look. DaKine delivered.For the backyard Robert understood our desire for lots of mulch, plants, and a nice bed of grass. They took a generic rectangle-shaped back yard and made it look unique and relaxing. Lastly, for the sidewalk they were able to run it along the side of the house and gave us a large patio of concrete for grilling and entertaining.I feel like the cost for their work was very reasonable and the quality of the finished product is evident. Their install crew led by Donovan was professional, respectful of my property, and answered any questions I had. I would definitely hire DaKine again!

Dakine came out and made our unusable backyard into a paradise my children can play on! The job consisted of a rather large retaining wall to level out the back yard and pet friendly artificial turf. We could not be more happy with the finished product and overall experience.

500 square feet of pavers, a French drain, and short retaining well - the final product looks great. This took 5 months from February-June 2019. Luckily we were not in a hurry. Everyone working for Dakine was friendly when I went out to talk or ask questions. Workers often came and left without letting us know beforehand or knocking on our front door.There were several details that would have been missed had I not spoken up. Those heading up the project didn’t always communicate details with the people doing the work. Customer service improved towards the end with a switch to Donovan managing the job.We had a small drainage issue a month after the project was finished. Dakine came out to fix it within a couple of weeks of me reaching out to Donovan and Robert. I really appreciate a company that stands by their work.

Dakine did landscaping in my backyard which was a big hill of dirt and weeds, tree stunps and debris left by previous home owner. DaKine did an amazing job designing a xeriscape layout that looked wonderful and was dog friendly. The landscaping included a drip line for the trees that were planted and drainage that would guide water away from the house in the event of big rains and snow melt. I would highly recommend DaKine for any job big or small.

Did an absolute amazing job on my backyard. I had them put Astro turf and a retaining wall in around my patio. I have two big dogs and the turf is holding up very well with the dogs and they absolutely love it!! I highly recommend them!!

I met Robert and Donavon when they landscaped my daughters house which came out lovely. I’m too old to old to work on my lawn anymore so I asked Robert if he could come up with a more practical, low maintanence design to my yard. We wound up replacing the majority of my sod with artificial turf as well as adding a couple of handicap rails in the front and back yard for my wife. After waiting for all of our snow to melt the day finally came for our landscape project to be completed. Robert and the rest of the Dakine team were professional, always in communication, and the finished product was more then we hoped for. We have a brand new Mega Arbel Patio with seating walls and a fire pit. The remaining portions of your yard is beautifully zeroscaped with flowing mounds, dry river beds, trees, grasses, and a very small stnad alone water feature. We contacted Dakine Landscaping for help with a rather large project - new sod (front & rear) 12 new shrubs, mulch (front & rear) and a flagstone walkway install. Robert gave us a great design for the backyard sod and walkway. He suggested a gorgeous flagstone that we chose to use. Dakine’s crew took care of all this in a timely manner (one week) for removal & install. The crew – Ryan, Miles and a few others were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. Did I mention HARDWORKING? I was amazed at the pace they kept and the clean-up was perfection. Throughout the project, the owner (Donavon) was eager to see that the work was satisfactorily completed. They used top grade materials and installed a drainage system for the new grass that we didn’t even know we needed. The finished product is amazing. We are very happy with the work that was done on our front & back yards. We would use DAKINE LANDSCAPING for our future needs.

I asked for few plants, lots of rock and a total budget of $3,500. Dakine walked the yard with me, then sent a proposal for $9,441 that included 121 plants and oddly, a stone walkway that I did not request. The worst part? I sent them a respectful email with corrections (suspecting a mistake) they did not respond. I called to say I would consider a revised plan and they offered a vague explanation--but they never sent a new plan. Cricketts. Guess thats their way of saying they dont want my business.

When I moved into my new house in January, the front landscaping was literally just dirt. I had three companies come out to give me an estimate. The only guy who actually had an immediate vision was Robert at Dakine.
