Amazing selection of meat! I wish I had found this place sooner. Check out their website for an idea of what they keep in stock; so far everything I have gotten from them has been excellent. On top of the amazing product the store is very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and give it a try if youve never been before.

Our regular meat market was closed so we decided to give this a try for a few dinners. We got 2 packages of sausage, some Kielbasa, and a few goodies. The goodies were not from Ranch Foods Direct but were made by a different lady and they were fantastic! We made the sausage later that night and it was so old, it didnt seem safe to eat. We found out that the packages we bought were from June. The kielbasa was from May. Overall, their service was good but their meats are so old, Id be scared to eat anything from here.

This place is so good!! The quality is amazing!! So much better then the grocery store! Honestly worth every penny!!! I love this place! Don’t forget to grab a taco on your way out from the best taco truck in the Springs!!!

After driving past here dozens of times, I finally stopped today, just to look around. Not only do they have beautiful, well-priced beef, they have duck!!!!! I have looked all over Colorado Springs for duck breast and now I have two in my freezer. I also bought fresh, local, whole wheat sourdough bread. The employees could not have been more friendly and helpful. I am a very happy new customer.

Without a doubt, the best Colorado Free Range humanely slaughtered meats in the City. And reasonably priced, too. They offer not only beef, pork and lamb, but poutry (I always order a free-range turkey from them for Christmas and Thanksgiving!) and dairy. Mike Callicrate offers the cleanest, healthiest meats available anywhere, and they are affordable, too, especially when buying in bulk. One can also buy fresh-cut from the Butchers counter, or frozen, in the cabinets.

Always a great selection of high quality meats. They also do custom orders and cuts, as well.A shout out to the taco truck they have at their location, El Chapin. Great mexican food.

Wow!! Not what I expected. They have almost everything you need. Its like a grocery store. I was able to get everything on my list. Amazing beef! I wish I checked it out sooner, we will be back to shop more. I guess if I was to say one thing that would have been nice for them to have would be cooking utensils, I need a new ladle ;-)

Overall great place. Clean, tidy, and calm environment. Staff were very knowledgeable of their products. Large selection of red meats and poultry. Being from Florida, I wouldve loved to see more of a diverse selection in the seafood section. Such as lobster, stone crab claws, snapper, etc. If they had this, I did not see it.

Very poor customer service here. This woman just sits in the corner reading her book, doesn’t greet anyone and won’t get up to check for items that I ask about.

I went to Ranch Foods Direct for lunch today and it was delicious. I had to prepare my own meal but an employee informed me that they will have a dine in deli soon. Im extremely satisfied with the quality and also the variety of not only meat but also cheeses, dry goods, and honey. Every effort has been made to provide local pure food with a fair wage to the growers and ranchers. Highly recommended.

Love this Colorado Springs resource! The meats have never disappointed; the flavors remind me of meats from my growing up years before all of the additives were given to cattle and ranchers were bought out by big commercial concerns. The store personnel are considerate, well informed and helpful.

This is the place to come for the perfect cut of meat from local sources! We are always happy with anything we purchase from Ranch Foods -- our favorite is the bacon and beef -- far better than anything you can get at the grocery store. Their new store is great, providing local beans, produce, fresh bread, and more! We love this place. It is clean and the staff are always nice and helpful.

Besides our regular purchase of burgers, krauts, and steaks... this time we took home 2 of the large bacon wrapped meat loaves (loafs). OMG! 1 hour at 350 degrees and these babies were fantastic. An extra 10 minutes if you like your bacon crispy, and they are wrapped head to toe in juicy best ever bacon. Cheese on the inside too. Going back for more this week.

This place sells food that I feel good buying, eating and giving to my dogs. They have high quality meat and local, delicious produce. Buying from here instead of the supermarket keeps more money in our local economy.

I put my order in and will receive my order this week. From what I could see, the store looked nice + clean and they had a variety of specialty foods. Cant wait to get my order in.

I drove across town during regular Business hours just to be told there was no one there that could slice meat for jerkey and turn around and drive home. SO unprofessional!

Ill never get meat at the grocery store again!My post for now... I havent gotten meat from the Grocery store since my last review. They are always introducing other locally sourced products. On a whim I grabbed a package of Pueblos Eastside Smoked String Cheese. It was so very good. Thanks for adding the local source cheese also.

We only buy our beef from RFD and have for 10 years now. Healthy/happy cows and the taste is unparalleled! My dogs have been eating their healthy meat for as many years too!

I went in looking for a certain product I saw being sold at a store/market in Guffey. 2 of the 3 people working behind register with no customer never spoke or asked if I needed help. A guy from the butcher area asked everyone shopping if they needed help but me. I guess you have to look a certain way for the employees to speak to you or help you. I heard it has great meat but customer service is worst than Walmart considering it is such a small store. I thought I was going to get good service but I was ignored when they only had 2 other customers besides myself in the store.

I have been going to Ranch Foods Direct for about 12 years. The people working at Ranch Foods are extremely helpful and caring toward their customers. The products are the best and always consistent in quality. I love this place and wont buy meat anywhere else.

Animals used are treated humanely (supposedly). And they have meat parts and cuts not readily available other places. They also sell dairy products, gluten free bread, etc.

This location has fresh hot bone broth ready to go. Add collagen powder to it and your body will thank you!! OMG!! Try the yellow split peas soup..

The meat is definitely tasty but I dont understand why I cant get most of it unfrozen. 90% of the meat on the floor was already frozen and when I asked if I could place an order for everything to be unfrozen I was rudely told no. Its also very expensive but I understand why. Also the smoked gouda is AMAZING.

I checked this place out on a Saturday and i was looking around for a short period of time. I seen a small what appeared to be a coffee bar and filled up a cup of what i thought was hot apple cider but ended up being broth! So i poured it out and seen a coffee pot next to it and i filled up a tiny cup with coffee to wash the nasty taste out of my mouth. I kept walking around looking when a shorter worker came yelled at me how was the broth and i ignored him until he yelled it at me again, i said it was coffee. He was so angry he yelled the coffee is not free and you must pay, i said i did not see a sign and he continued to harass me about it. I then clearly told him i was going to buy something but no longer since he was such a jerk and i left. Terrible customer service and not to mention the tiniest case of unfrozen meat i have ever seen and all things way overpriced.

Bought two 4-packs of New York Strip steaks, some chicken, sausage, chorizo, and bacon for a big trip to the mountains. In short, it was all phenomenally tasty. Worth the upscale prices.

Although best know for their health meats and foods, what I end up buy most of is there dog bones. They have good variety of types and sizes, for my guy it is the medium size marrow bones.

So I call them telling them Im looking for short ribs that are thinly sliced like down to an inch. The person on the phone says yes they can do that so I drive 30 min there and ask about the short ribs. They say sorry cant do that. Yeah Im pretty upset about that.

The best place to get meat in town! After eating this beef and pork, you will never want grocery store meat again! You can special order anything you want, and they have all those hard to find cuts like philly cheese steak, tri tip, and rouladen.

Local products and great meats!

I think the cheapest steak in the store was over $15 a pound, and that was for sirloin that barely looked like choice grade. The marbling was pitiful, and the meat just looked unappetizing. I moved up here from Texas and was accustomed to the $6.99/lb USDA prime sirloin I could get at my local butcher shop. Even the ribeyes at my hometown shop were never more than $12.99/lb. All they sold was USDA Prime steak, and you could tell.I also didnt like the fact that all the meat was prepackaged. I much prefer the butcher shops where you can get meat sliced to order if the meat in the case isnt what you are looking for.

I love this place and the people that run it. I first found out reading a local article that they carry the Sourdough Boulangerie bread that is made with a 350 year old italian starter! Super cool. I went there and the lady asked me if I wanted to look at the meats and I stated I was vegetarian. She explained how the Callicrate meat is humanely treated. They are grass fed and have 25 feet to roam per cow. They do not send them through a slaughter line which injects insane amounts of hormones into the meat. The animals are taken to a pasture and do not know they are being killed. This does not compel me to eat meat, but after seeing another review complaining about the price of the meat, I wanted to mention that you are paying for quality, and not quantity. I will keep going back to buy bread and encourage carnivores to make humane purchase and vote with your dollar.
