My husband an I have now had the miss fortune of interacting with employees from Markit! Forestry on two separate occasions. The in counter a young man in one of their trucks cut us off and yelled obscenities at us and gave us the middle finger. Most recently, my husband noted one of their employees hauling a skid machine on a trailer not chained down. My husband told the gentleman hauling the machine how dangerous that was and suggested he chain it down. The young man told my husband to mind his own business.I noticed when I googled Markit! You had several different jobs posted. Maybe instead of hiring an accountant you hire someone to teach your employees to treat people with respect. And how to do their job safely without putting the public in harms way.

Like other reviewers have previously stated. This place is toxic. Underqualified management; in addition to a general lack of knowledge regarding forestry and operations surrounding this field. This company is more of a rumor mill than anything. Please reconsider before applying. If you choose to work for Markit you will be subjected to countless situations that would make anyone feel extremely uncomfortable. Racial, sexual, and many other types of harassment seem to be a part of the culture at markit. These reviews are not just upset former employees. They are real people experiencing these situations on a regular basis.

This is the kind of company that will terminate your employment for being too qualified.
