The work I had done by them was amazing. They communicated well, answered any questions, and kept me in the loop of the whole process. I was impressed by them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Great company that puts a serious focus on customer service from start to finish. They understand how important your home is and what it means to you. Their priority on communication is evident and they have a genuine concern for their customers. Rod makes sure that he is available to you at every step of the process to address any questions or concerns you might have, not a lot of business owners are that involved in direct customer service! These guys are true professionals and their team is amazing to work with. A plus, this is a veteran owned business! I see some poor reviews from over a year ago, and I would just throw out there that this is a new owner and they have really turned this business around! I would definitely recommend this business and trust them with my home, especially for water damage mitigation!

Reviews are meant to inform prospective customers. The customer is always right, although taken with a measure of restraint, is unfortunately lost in todays market. I spent time reviewing this companys responses to prior complaints, and I am not surprised by the response I received here. The argument that roofs do not just abruptly stop performing as expected is disingenuous. This issue did not abruptly start occurring, as I described the signs suggesting a slow penetration developed. Ive done roofing in the past, and have lived in a region with much stronger, more consistent high winds than Ive experienced so far here. I can say that strong winds would sooner damage shingles than pull nails out of wood (if the nails were properly installed in the first place). As far as the grade of the roof, it passed inspection prior to any roofing ever being installed, which inherently requires enough grade for water to run off. The pooling is not happening on the roof, its happening on the flashing. This is from the malleable flashing being installed almost flat instead of being formed to the grade of the roof (imagine it being like a spring board, bouncing the nail up and down as someone tries to hammer it to a surface it hasnt been bent along...another reason the nails would not have been installed correctly, and hence easily removed with the slightest of storms).Bought a house 11 months ago that had its roof replaced as a condition of our purchase contract with the sellers. Top Gun was the contractor the sellers used, and now, not even a full year later, were having water leaking into the house. The problem is where our decks roof marries up with the side of the house - due to poor or inadequate work, rain water has found a way into a seam and down the inside of our exterior wall. What we have is water dripping from the inside, top part of a window sill just underneath the deck roofing. The caulking along the inside top of the window sill is all cracked, and thus water has been getting there for some time before starting to leak thru recently (but not longer than weve lived here, as there is no evidence of water damage in the paint or drywall yet). Top Gun is refusing to honor any warranty on their work, both because we were not the names on the contract at the time of the roof install, and because, and I quote, its basically been a year and there have been some storms along the way. The roof was only done because we required it in our purchase, and thus the sellers and Top Gun were merely acting on our behalf. Imagine the reputation a company can earn taking the attitude that any work on a home sale can be rushed, just passing minimal inspection requirements, because the contractor and seller are not liable after the home sells - moving on to the next paying job. As far as the weather, no loose or damaged shingles, or dislodged flashing exists. Instead, this is a sign of an ongoing issue, with the roof seam where the deck roof meets the exterior house wall not being properly protected from the rain, a job roofing is designed to cover and seal. This repair should have only taken maybe 2 workers and a half hour installing new, properly sealed flashing along the deck roof...but apparently not worth avoiding this review.

The new owner (ROD) was very polite and also informed about my complaint and issues with dealing with previous owner by a retained employee.The new owner conveyed that the old leadership involved with the previous owner were fired/let go. With this stated, I would recommend working with this company. NEW owner is a Veteran and myself being a Veteran, he was very straight forward with me and honest with my hard inquisitive questioning. The organization is Great in all areas, from the owner personally calling to introduce himself and project managers communication thru out projects outstanding!!!!!!! My home looks just like it was built 10 years ago, you have really put my mind and family at ease!!!

From their very first visit I got the sense of a genuine concern about our situation, our household belongings, and the disruption. Shortly after a walkthrough and an explanation of how things would proceed, I received several schedule options from which to choose, and the project manager worked around every challenge I threw at him, including my travel for work and time off out of town.This repair included drywall removal and replacement on 3 floors and hardwood flooring removal and replacement in my kitchen, living room, family room, office and master bedroom. The team wrapped up nearly every piece of furniture I own in both moving blankets and plastic wrap, and even accommodated my request to find a way to store it all somewhere in the house.The drywall repair and paint match job in all locations was better than any Ive ever had done, and Ive had quite a bit done over the years. I then had high expectations for the hardwood repair, and those expectations were exceeded. I asked for two additional, personal-cost hardwood repair jobs, and they not only gave me a very reasonable price, but they fit the extra work into the original schedule.In all of my contacts with Top Gun throughout the process, Ive been given all the time I wanted to ask questions and discuss the job and how it was progressing. At no time did I ever feel like I was getting in the way of another job, slowing down the work or being an inconvenience. Im sure many folks have felt that way with a contractor from time to time. Not so with these guys.While maybe not the most difficult restoration job theyve encountered, mine went like clockwork with no surprises other than the exceptionally high quality of workmanship far exceeding my expectations.

The team of workers that assisted me at the beginning and the workers are too many to thank. But they all did a remarkable job. The team was always on time every day and did their work without any interruption. They answered all my questions before, during and after the project. Top Gun did the best job in getting my house back to normal.

Top Gun did a great job on the restoration project at my home. They were very helpful and kept us informed on the progress. Homeowners need to know what is going on with their biggest investment. Not all do that, but this company did. I felt very comfortable that everything was being repaired professionally throughout the whole process.

My dealings with Top Gun have been exclusively with Robert Chafin Hale, the owner. I have gotten to know Robert very closely during the last nine months and consider him to be an honest and direct person. Without going into detail, I had a contract with Robert, and at the end of our professional relationship, things didnt go exactly as good for him as he had hoped. Nevertheless, he kept up with his side of the deal and I strongly feel that he is a real honorable and stand-up person. In terms of Top Gun Restoration, I could not of served that company in the capacity that I did unless the company were top-notch and exceeded peoples, expectations. They were terrible. The worst company I have ever dealt with. Lack of communication. Dis organized. Slow. Very unprofessional. Spoke directly with the owner. He too, was arrogant, rude, disrespectful. Truly, the worst company. I am a veteran and wanted to support. They must have all been in a different military then I served.

Driver driving erratic on carefree and van teylingen. Noon 9-27. No turn signals

They left a section of my neighbors fence open, where my dogs can get out. They werent planning on finishing it tonight but they did it anyway after I told them my dogs would need outside. From the looks of it, they are planning on tearing the whole fence down before trying to rebuild it. It took the the whole day, from 12 to about 4:30/5 pm, and they didnt even get a fourth of the fence down. They are planning on doing work on it Friday, Saturday, and Monday, so apparently my dogs cant go outside because of their arrogance. I wouldnt have an issue with it because both of my dogs are sweet and nonviolent, but since we already have issues with my neighbors I could just see the lies thatd be made up. They obviously do not work quickly and they are very ignorant.

I had my homes air ducts cleaned by topgun restoration. Upon completion after the employs left I noticed my return vents were put back on upside down. The following day I could not figure out why my house was so cold. I checked my thermostat and it was set to heat and on. I went into my basement to inspect my furnace and it had been switched off and never back on by the employees. Upon further inspection my gas line was also turned off by the employees.I feel as though there is a lack of proper training among the employees.

Top gun restoration has done a terrible job on restoring my house. Recommended to me by the USAA adjuster. Top gun in August they did not send anybody out to the house until September and September I signed the contract to have the work completed. That time they informed me they would not be able to start until the first week of October which I agreed to. I paid more than the initial deposit request it all except for $2000 of a $15,000 job. They do I was an out-of-state customer and they completely took a vantage of me. Switch project managers on me twice without informing me. Did not start work on my house until December and they never told me the project was delayed. December my house was under contract to be sold I am formed the project manager of my closing date and he said they would move some of the projects around in order to complete on time. He stated normally they do not like to paint the house first however because of the closing date they should probably paint first and touch up after the roof was completed. I was completely OK with this being as the project need to be completed by the closing date . The closing date was January 17 . It is now January 30th my house is still not done and I have had to move my closing date 3 times. I wanted to attached a photo of how the left my house for three weeks, but I cant find a way to do so. The house looked like it had chickenpoxs with white spots all over it. This company does not keep you informed more to the keep a time line! I would not recommend them to anyone I even called USAA to file a complaint.

I have USAA and just called to schedule an appointment with Top Gun who is on their preferred list. I was informed that other insurance and USAA claims would take priority over me because USAA had issued my insurance payment directly to me (instead of assigning the claim). I think that is rotten and I went elsewhere.

We were referred to this company from USAA after a flooded bathroom. Their main issue is the lack of communication. Workers would randomly show up, and the project took much longer than scheduled. The main man in charge of our project left the company and we werent even notified, so our house was left carpet/floorless for weeks until they were finally able to get us back on their scheduled. I would not recommend this company.

Our home flooded from the top level, down to the basement. Both Top Gun and USAA said the project would take about four weeks. From there, everything went downhill. The Top Gun foreman would make deadlines and tell us when they would be over and what they would complete, never keeping one of those deadlines. The flooring we picked was apparently on back order, then received, then lost. Not too sure how that happened. Our newly purchased refrigerator ended up with substantial cosmetic damage. I took pictures and then called the foreman. He later called me and told me that he doesnt see a thing on our refrigerator. I came home to meet him, showed him the photos I had taken, which were dated. I then told him it was obvious they had buffed or covered the damage, he had nothing to say. We immediately had the lockbox removed from our front door. It is a year later and all of the damage they covered is now showing again. By six weeks in to the project, we reported Top Gun to USAA. USAA acted right away and contacted Top Gun, and within two weeks, the project was finished. The end result was great and could not ask for a better result. However, the time it took to complete, and the process of working with Top Gun was a nightmare. The lack of organization and customer service is beyond disappointing.

Nice to be able to have the same company handling water damage as a general contractor replacing floors, walls and cabinets.

Apparently they booked way too many jobs at once and so have been very erratic with scheduling.
