Dave and Keith were great instructors for our open water diver certification course. They made it fun, but reiterated the importance of safety and understanding without it being off putting. I have spoken with the shop staff about booking additional courses, which they have been very thorough and helpful with. The knowledge of their gear and equipment has been extremely helpful, since it seems so overwhelming right now being new to it. I have been communicating with Jessy, who has been on top of everything in helping us plan our diving portion of an upcoming trip.Every interaction with this shop has been wonderful, and I look forward to planning more trips and taking more classes.

I just finished my open water with David and Greg at Chatfield and it was one of the best instructional classes Ive ever had. I honestly cant remember a better experience learning something than I did from the two of them. Our class was fun, informative, clear, etc. Id take every instructional class I could from them. Thanks so much for an incredibly positive experience.

I recently took scuba lessons here and I am amazed at how wonderful this place and the employees are. They are kind, knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. I have a fear of most things that have to do with water, and they have done everything and beyond to help me feel comfortable.

Wow this place and the instructors are TOP NOTCH. Nothing but professional, knowledgeable, helpful, caring...I could go on and on. Our class had Dave and Kevin and I was having alot of trouble with my ear due to an injury. They suggested a few things that worked and I could continue with the training. It would have stopped my rec diving had I not been able to address it. Very very awesome place. Love the people!!! BOOK IT, you will not be disappointed!!

Came here for a private kayak rolling session / lesson and Willy was awesome! Came in that morning with very little knowledge and left that day confident I was ready to start running some rivers.Willy was a great teacher. He uses a progressive type learning thats very straight forward and easy to understand. One thing I liked is he not only stopped to help you with corrections, but he also demonstrated what you were doing so you could see what it looked like and why it wasnt working. If I ever need anymore help with kayaking Ill be back. Will also be doing my scuba certification here soon.

We had a great experience at Underwater Connection. We would recommend this facility for training and knowledgeable staff regarding gear. The facility and classroom are great, very clean and open. The pool was well run and we had everything we needed. 5 stars to our instructors, JD and Dan, whose passion for SCUBA was clear and we valued the lessons very much.

We just returned from a dive trip to Cozumel led by our Bill Bailey. As in the past, hes a great group leader and other than the water being a bit cooler than normal, we had a super drift dive.

Great place! These guys know what they are doing and go the extra mile, in a friendly relaxed way. Not only is service excellent and fast, price is fair and they take the time to educate you. A friend recommended them to me, and I am passing this on.

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. After renting a tandem kayak from them— we arrived to pick up our inflatable kayak. The kayak tutorial was extremely rushed with just pointing and showing where to hook up the pump and you should be good. We drove up two hours to our destination to hook up our pump with no help. 2 other passerby’s helped us with the pump— no success. The kayak would not inflate. We called the store once we finally returned to service from the mountains to be told we could not have a refund but could get our money back other than the deposit. When we arrived they were able to get the hose to hook up and start pumping the kayak. The pressure indicator was still broke. We asked for a partial refund at minimum and the manager said no that plenty of other people don’t have issues with this kayak. I told him the other manager said we could have our money back and he said what she meant was if the pump was broke. I asked for at least a credit so my sister can try to go another day since we wasted our entire day and they said that wouldn’t be possible. Do not waste your time on a place that cares nothing for whether or not their customers can at least experience there product.

We drove from Texas to Colorado Springs just for this class, and we will do it again for another! Everyone there was so friendly and the facility was very nice and clean. We took our class with i believe her name is Jessy and she is just the sweetest! Very knowledgeable and so encouraging. Thanks to everyone at underwater connections, you guys rock!!

My 8 year old is taking swimming lessons from Underwater Connection and has been able to overcome his fear of the water. We absolutely love the people there and the amazing classes they offer!

Outstanding shop that catered really well to us newbies... Great, competitively priced equipment, knowledgeable staff. Took my family to an intro to scuba class. It was a professionally taught, safe, and wonderful experience for all. My 10 yr old daughter basically had to be dragged out of the pool. I’m visiting Colorado Springs with my wife from Dallas, TX. We stopped in Underwater Connection simply to look around and ask some questions as neither I nor my wife have been to a dive shop. I let the staff know that my wife and I weren’t from the area but we just wanted to stop in and ask some questions. We spoke with both Callie and JD and ended up spending about 1.5 hours talking scuba gear, certifications, and getting great advice from these two. They were friendly and had answers that were as endless as my questions. Great shop that i’d highly recommend!

This facility is pretty nice and the prices reasonable. My compliant however is that the SUP instructor taught us to use the paddle the WRONG WAY AROUND! How can a so-called instructor not know basic techniques?@Drew - with regard to your response, I would suggest perhaps asking Kirsten how to hold a SUP paddle and see if she gives you the right answer?

Great place. There was a little administrative hang up during my initial sign up for classes. They called me, got it figured out and moved forward. Truly professional and overall a great experience thus far. Im looking forward to working with these folks.

I asked about warranty on a broken SUP item the store carries. They told me they do not do warranty work even on the brands they carry. I was told to contact the manufacturer.I also inquired about certain classes. The lady I was dealing with told that was not her department and she would have the course director call me. No one ever did.The few dealing I have had with Underwater Connections I have always been treated rudely and with arrogance. I will not consider going into Underwater Connections again. A trip to the nearest dive center in Littleton is well worth my time.

UWC treats you like family! Every step of the way, the staff takes the time to make sure you are safe and confident in your skills before moving forward. UWC only sells products the staff use personally and have knowledge of the value quality equipment. I have been a satisfied customer of UWC for over 3 years and will continue my loyalty. The staff here is fantastic! The retail staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful, and the instructors I have worked with here are a blast and genuinely seem to care. The prices in the shop are pretty comparable to Amazon, but if you buy here and have a problem with the item you get the benefit of speaking face to face with a person who will do their best to help you. They are helping me resolve an issue with a wetsuit I bought that ended up having issues with its stitching. After other shops closed down years back, this shop is now the only scuba shop in Colorado Springs, and I am so glad that it’s a good one! With them having the monopoly on the market in Colorado Springs they could have let their services slide a little, but they haven’t. I highly recommend them for both equipment purchases and for scuba training.

We really enjoyed our experience with Underwater Connection! Gary and Bill did a great job. They were very patient with us. I appreciate that they continued to work with us until we got it. They really wanted us to be comfortable and safe!

Very friendly staff in the store! I took a class and the instructor was very friendly, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable while I was learning a new skill. I felt like the instructor gave us a lot of information about the equipment needed as well the perfect amount of coaching while still giving us the freedom to experiment with techniques in the pool.

We do private lessons with our kids and are very satisfied with the level of attention they receive from their instructors. I feel it is worth the extra money to pay for individualized time and attention.

We went in to get new masks and mine needed an eyesight prescription. We also wanted to find out about classes. And finally, I wanted a new battery for my dive computer. Nachi was SO EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE! A great experience! Go there and ask for her.

I went in to do a refresher. Bill is very thorough and gave great real world examples to situations. The whole staff there is kind and very knowledgeable and doesn’t talk down or treat you like a newbie. They genuinely care about you and your experience as a diver. I’ll be coming there from now on!

Until last year, I could barely do a front crawl. I took a months class last year and I was taught a proper technique for a front crawl. I really wanted thank my instructor, I forgot her name. She was very patient and encouraging.

Attended the open water course. Highly impressed with Steve Hitchcock as our instructor class act. Gary Cannon and Bill Cutcliff not impressive. impressed. I take part of the blame with our issues. On a number of occasions I mentioned that I had zero experience that was ignored and at times received a sarcastic reply when asking a question. It was made very clear to the class that I was holding up progress which was true and very clear I don’t believe it needed to be repeated numerous times. I dropped the course out of disgust for the money we spent the service delivered we were way overcharged. I won’t recommend or use Underwater Connection again.

Underwater Connection is very professional and helpful. I came to them asking to get Open Water Certified with only two weekends available before my trip. They stayed open past closing in order to help get me scheduled. The instructors are very knowledgeable, with a special shout out to Angela and Rogers for helping me with my certification. The pool there is 15ft deep and well maintained. One of the coolest perks is if you get certified here, you can use the pool, along with all their equipment for free (as long as theres no classes occupying the pool). Thanks again UWC!

UWC is a great local business that has grown and thrived for many years. Both of my kids and a niece were certified through them and all went smoothly. The instructors are always patient and take the time to make sure they understand the goals and have success with the drills. The store is also a nice addition. They have a good selection of basic and advanced equipment and at reasonable prices. They offer regular group sponsored trips to a number of fantastic destinations. They have also serviced my regulators in the shop and the work is always done on time and flawlessly. Fantastic local SCUBA resource! Thanks!

This is a great local dive shop, as well as a great place to learn kayaking and SUP. In particular, the lady who handles dive travel arrangements is very competent and a pleasure to work with.

I just took my BCD in for a minor leak, and WOW, they found it was a mess, apparently when the crew packed it up last week a tank got dropped on it, and created quite a mess. They fixed it, tested it, all in the same day, and when the bill came, I was SHOCKED, I expected it to be twice as much. We buy all our equipment here, always have it serviced here, and know that we are SAFE! ONCE AGAIN, THANK YOU! Janet

I went to Underwater Connection for swim lessons and got Dee as my swim teacher and she was absolutely incredible!! She was a great teacher and worked with me every step of the way and was very patient and reassuring. I learned very fast even though I had been struggling to learn to swim my whole life. I am so thankful I got her as a tescher!

I took a snorkeling/skin diving lesson there a couple of days ago and it was great! I cant remember the instructors name but he was an older gentleman who was very nice, informative, encouraging, and patient.He even let me use his towel! I was running way behind and left my house in such a hurry that I forgot my towel so he let me use his.He actually stayed way longer than the lesson was supposed to take b/c he told me not to stop until I was completely comfortable and that he would stay for as long as that took.The class was VERY reasonably priced and helped me the confidence to snorkel and skin dive in Bali next month.I highly recommend them for any snorkeling or diving lessons.

I have been going to Underwater Connection since 1993. The retail side of the house is not the biggest but it carries everything essential needed for diving. The education side of the house if outstanding. The list of professional scuba instructors is nothing short of impressive. These instructors come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, from fighter pilots to Doctors everyone is incredibly smart and experienced. I have learned so much from these classes and would not think of going somewhere else for my training. I just hit Master Diver and on my way to Divemaster. I hope my skills reach tech diver in hopes to become cave certified. I highly recommend Underwater Connection for all your scuba needs.

I took the Enhanced Air Diver course from Howard Stringert on Sunday. Howard is very easy to work with and obviously knows the subject very well. I highly recommend Howard for any course available at Underwater Connection.

This dive shop runs a pretty good instruction program, and it is very easy to schedule trips with them. They also have a pretty decent selection. That being said, this shops staff isnt very good. They are not very knowledgable of what they sell. It seems like every question I ask goes unanswered here. I would guess that the majority of the staff are not divers. Overall, it is a nice shop, but you need to know what you are looking for before you go there.

Training and education was good. Certification at Blue Hole was sloppy and disorganized. Told to meet in the lobby at 8:00. That didnt happen. Told we have a call first. That didnt happen. Arrived at 8:00 for the dive. That didnt happen either. A course review was starteed at 10:15 and went to 11:00. Kids got all their gear on as instructed and then we were told by a park ranger we needed permits. Sure would have been nice to know that at 8:00 as it took waiting in line for thirty minutes to get that. Dive started at 11:30 which is after the park opens to the general public at 11:00. Here, the students cant really hear their instructors because of all the screaming kids swimming in the dive area. Dont bother with certification at Blue Hole. Best to do It elseware.

CAUTION: This store is like an adult toy store and you will spend way too long talking to knowledgeable staff about one of the best sports in the world.

Just finished the PADI rescue diver course given by the instructors at underwater connection, colorado springs. learned a lot, feel much more comfortable contemplating a possible in water rescue/resuscitation, and in addition had a great time. highly recommended.

I cannot say enough great things about Underwater Connection (UC). I go there once a week for my physical therapy/pool therapy, and the pool itself is very large, not like most Physical Therapy Companies (the VERY FEW that even have access to a pool, or even a real size pool...some pt places call what is literally the size of a large hottub a pool). Not only, does UC host, my Pool Therapy, they have lots of other services as well as a unique retail shop for ANYTHING that has to do with water sports, as well as other hard to find items! As I stated above about having lots of services, they are diverse: swimming lessons, Kayaking (yes, in their pool!!!), and scuba diving, and training, as well as Physical Therapy - the pool therapy aspect. I LOVE UC, Jessy and Kaitlyn have fantastic professionalism, but are two of the nicest ladies you will find anywhere. They care about not only their customers, but, also care about me as a PT patient, they both always have a big smile, ask how I am doing, and actually care! I really love UC, and I think they stand alone in the industry due to thier wide range of services, and superior pool, as well as fantastic customer service! If you want or need any of thier services, definitely give them a try, you wont be disappointed!!!

Fun, accessible, affordable

I started goin there for physical therapy back in february. Then after a couple weeks started goin on my own sometimes twice a day. The staff is very friendly and since i started here lost weight. Hope to loose more in the near future.

From my first visit to UWC, I felt a welcoming and helpful environment. After my initial PADI certification in 1966 and being absent from scuba for several decades I decided to re-certify and get active in diving again. I completed the course under the guidance of Howard Stringert and listened in to some of the other instructors for nuggets of diving wisdom. It was a pleasant and rewarding experience and I look forward to a continuing relation with UWC.Since I posted the above I have been on three organized dives with UWC. July Cozumel, October Bonaire and just returned from another Cozumel dive that was headed by Bill Bailey. Ive had the pleasure of diving with Bill on numerous occasions and always look forward to learning more from him by simple observation. His calm demeanor and organizational skills make the dive trips a real pleasure. Heres looking at your bubbles :-)
