After a human error on my end the state of Colorado was going to take me to the cleaners. I went to Scott with a Please fix this or Im hosed request. Scott gave me options, was upfront about costs, did not sugarcoat what we had to do. After I agreed to the plan he took charge and represented us against CO. He was able to determine the issue, file what was required and correct the error! Huge thx Scott!

Scott is very kind, takes his time talking with you about your business, finances, and taxes, and is very knowledgeable. The process to upload tax documents is very easy much easier and more efficient than our last CPA. Scott also caught a missing document from our taxes which we greatly appreciated. The only issues we had was that a couple weeks went by where we had already uploaded our documents and had not heard anything. We had to go back to them and ask what was going on and thats when we were told we were missing documents and they had some questions. Also when we were sent an email of the documents for us to sign our invoice said $0 even still said $0 when I went into he payment section online to try to pay. Which was very confusing. Then we were sent an email with an invoice and a message saying we need to pay or they cannot file our taxes weeks later. This is valid but frustrating since we were ready to pay weeks ago. Also the amount was larger than what we intially were quoted and agreed upon.

I have been a client of Scotts for close to twenty years. Even though he has now moved his business to Colorado, he is just as helpful and accommodating as ever. Any time I have had a tax issue or question over the years, Scott has always been available. His service to me and others I know has always been excellent. I would highly recommend him.

I sure wish I was leaving a five star review right now. I hate leaving a negative review but I feel the lack of response or care I received from Scott and his team brought me here. I am new to the area so relied on Google reviews to assist me with finding a professional to help me with my taxes for a small business I own. I sent the office an email, that was never returned, I left a voicemail that was never returned. I even spoke with the receptionist and explained I had been trying for weeks to get ahold of someone, she assured me someone would get back with me that day, that was a week ago. I think it is safe to assume I will never hear from the Scott Porter CPA Group. I do not find them professional or responsive, and in fact the opposite, how disappointing.

I have nothing but good things to say about my first experience with Scott and team. First I have to disclose I am hard to please and come with tons of questions and near impossible to impress. I have had a few tax professionals in the past and I can be... frustrating for some to have as a client. Scott and team are incredibly responsive and above board patient with my flurry of questions. His staff asked me great clarifying questions in preparation of my taxes and got me to think of some items I had never considered/knew about in the past. Conversations with Scott are relieving because he speaks and explains things in laymans terms vs tax accountant jargon that no one understands except for other CPAs. I do not vouch for many, Scott Porter and team has got my stamp. My only regret is I did not find him 20+ years ago when I started real estate investing.
