Fantastic, helpful staff both indoors and out. Entire procedure from weigh-in, unloading, weigh-out and payment was efficient and quick. Payment was fair considering it was for stuff I would have thrown in the garbage. The process can be a bit noisy and intimidating for first-timers, but the staff was helpful walking me through it :) I will do business with them again!

Talked to 4 staff members when I was there. 2 were cool 2 were rude as hell, especially the lady in the office. Zero customer service skills.

I was embarrassed for whom ever owns this business. What a shame....Employees inside at pay booth and also over loud speaker were beyond ignorant. Rude, hatful, and quite frankly could use a little education. Definitely one of the worst environments that I have experienced.

First time at this place it was a bit confusing. However they had people that directed us to where we needed to go. Once we unloaded our scrap metal we had to get back on the scale then had to unload the aluminum. We did have to wait for the aluminum guy but he was also very helpful.

I went there at 4 a clock and they said they closed 10 minutes ago when the website said at 4:15 very disappointed never going there again

Dont go in the last hour that they are open, because its just not worth it. They do pay the best in town, except for that last hour.Now they are closing 15 minutes early also.I do appreciate the extra cash for recycling discarded metal. However there are other scrap yards in town. And boy oh boy am i gonna catch hell for my opinion.Such is life

Was cussed out by all the heavy set woman in the office for trying to ask a question! Then was harassed on the microphone was absolutely humiliated! Was told to leave without pay! These woman need to be fired at the least!!!!

They cheat on the scale. The original metal and iron place paid more money. And they know it. It the cleanest place in colorado springs and they have more sections. I am deaf. It hard for me to understand what going on.

It says it’s open on saturdays but it’s really not. Update your hours & days. What a waste of time

They close at random for undisclosed amounts of time so dont plan for them. They are rude, lazy and if you think you are getting a good price think again. One of the worst businesses in CO Springs.

I called about the price on dirty aluminum they said its .61 cents a pound get there with 57 pounds of dirty aluminum and they paid me $3.42 dollars. They are a ripoff watch these criminals.

Since they moved the new people at the location are much more friendlier and great help since things are different from the last time I was at American Iron & Metal.

Always great service and knowledgeable employees that take the time to answer questions and help when needed. For 10+ years I have personally come here- always positive experiences every trip.

I hope the owners read the reviews occasionally. I have done business with Western Scrap at the Colorado Springs location for years, and I was always extremely happy with them. Since American Iron took over and made Cory the manager it has gone downhill fast. Unless some major changes take place Including some more pleasant people in the office, they will never have my business again.

I used to come here all the time at their old location and it was the best! If they were still there I would give 5 stars! One of the ladies is really nice and always treats me nice the staff is also really nice and help you backup where they want you to dump. There place was one of the cleanest in town. I will miss their old place.

We have tried calling for over an hour. They do not answer at the Colorado Springs location and you cannot leave a message. This is very unprofessional for a business for 1 to not answer the phone during business hours or 2 not have the option for leaving a message. We understand you get busy but then you could reply back and address customers questions or concerns. The Facebook page connects customers to the Pueblo location so you cannot contact the Colorado Springs location via that option either.

The ladies are very rude and have no respect how can you run a place with them need to get people that have respect or maybe better business needs to step in you sould treat people better we come in to make a little also we make your pay checks

Woke up, figured it would be a good morning to spend a couple hours loading metal into my truck and drive across town to get rid of it. Website said they were open, Google said they were open, even the sign in front of the gate said they were open. Were they open at 11:00 on a Saturday? Nope, gates were locked. We had a great experience at American Iron and Metals. Courteous, helpful staff helped us recycle our clothes dryer. Wed have paid $40 to leave it at our trash service company up in Woodland Park, but American Iron gave us 5 bucks for our trouble! Well be repeat customers for sure.

Nice to work with. Did their best to keep up with our needs. Used them for a large project about 20 metal dumpsters. Quick to send payment out and were overall nice people. They need to fix their trucks though as there was a problem about 30% of the time in regards to the delivery or getting their dumpsters moved. Again pleasure to work with though/

Will never set foot in this place again. Trust the reviews below that they treat their customers like garbage because it’s true. I bring a large load of scrap every month or 2. The last time I was there they yelled at me not to dump in the normal spot and had me back into a large pool of water. I could not park next to it, I had to park ‘in’ it. We got mud all over ourselves and the truck. Was not happy about that and the employees thought it was funny. This time I went in and to the normal spot and an employee starts yelling at me to move to the next spot over. I do that and then he yells at me again to go across the yard to a different spot. Once I get there another person starts screaming at me not to unload there either. The person was rude and scolding me like I was his child. I just left. There is no reason to treat your fellow man like that and I was the ONLY person there at the time! Western is right next door and I’ll give them my business from now on. This place has no business dealing with the public. I noticed their work load is going way down which appears to be a direct reaction to their horrid customer service.

These guys have the best prices, a great staff, and usually I am in and out fairly quickly. There new location is bigger and can handle more people.

Thank goodness for the lady in the office who kindly showed my around and verbally walk me through the steps, I did not know what to expect when i got there but thanks to her it was a lot easier then i was expecting great customer service

We always brought our metal here today and we just watched two cars almost run into each other on the scale. One employee told us to move forward while the rudest woman was yelling at us over the speaker. This is disorganized mess at the new location dont waste your time or gas.

I used to go here over 10 years ago and the staff was always great. Now everytime ive gone the guys in back and the ladies inside are rude as can be. I wont be going back and anyone that would like to avoid being treated badly shouldnt go either. There is one rule in life that everyone should follow and it should be to treat others the way you want to be treated! This company has failed at the basic rule of life. Nothing but pure disrespect and rudeness not to mention they give false information on the phone just to draw you in and after you unload you find out true pricing and it makes you want to go load your stuff back up and leave.

Went with grandson to sell copper and aluminium.They low on prices on cans and copper wire but the worst was the 25 Cents a pound on the extruded aluminium.They had us drive on to the scales for 180 pounds. All of it was clean.The woman that worked the counter was slow and rude and slow. Will never go there again @!!!!!

Brought the same type of wire as last time and they classified it as a different type. And the guy running the scale should not smoke in peoples faces. Pretty rude!

Ive brought them 3 junk cars and I cant complain. The price is the besst around and the service is 15-20 minutes or less. Thats if i dont keep the cars rims and tires.
