While driving cross country, I started having clutch pedal issues. I limped the car to Best Western North, and while the news wasn’t good, they had the issue diagnosed in a very short time! I had to leave my car with them and continue on my journey across country, John assured me my car (which had valuables inside) would be safe and inside the building at night.I flew in to pick my car up and immediately drove 1500 miles without issue! Every time I bring my vehicle to Best Western Transmission they have done great work! I am always pleased with not only with their honesty but the quality of work they do is top notch. I take all of my vehicles here and refer family and friends to them as well! Before I found them I had six different mechanics try to diagnose my pickup truck. Several other mechanics guessed at the issue and had me do repairs that turned out to be unnecessary (or didnt fix the problem). Finally, I took my truck to Best Western to help me with a different issue. They fixed it fast and when I asked them to try and diagnose the mystery noise, they found it too! I always call for quotes from several repair shops, and I price what the parts would cost. Anytime I have checked Best Westerns prices against others, they are always fair and typically they are less expensive than other mechanics.

Repaired my transmission for less than $500 knowing full well I was prepared to pay 3k to replace or rebuild it. Really appreciate it more than they could know. My now ex boyfriend stole my truck (which was my first vehicle) and trashed it (even put water in the gas tank so I couldnt leave him- what a tool) and Ive been struggling to repair it for years and the new transmission issues were just another blow but they helped me so I am one step closer to having a decent vehicle again. About 15 or so years ago I brought my truck in thinking I had a major transmission problem. Your guys inspected it and came back and told me it was just a little low on fluid, they topped it off, no charge, come back when you have a real problem. I never had a transmission problem where I had to come back thank goodness but I never forgot your honesty. For the last 15 years I have gone out of my way to send everyone I heard of with a transmission problem to you after telling them all about my experience at your company.

I had an issue with gear grinding and they figured out so fast it something as small as the clutch needing a readjustment.After that it’s a lot easier to shift my car and smoother. I have a 1998 GMC Suburban that had about 240,000 miles and had started slipping when shifting into second gear, common issue with high mileage transmissions of this type. Spoke with John for a quote for repairs and scheduled the work. Not only was it done when he said it would be, it was DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and for the pricing we agreed to. Have had no problems at all, works awesome. I would give more starts if possible as I do almost all my own repairs since its hard to find an honest, trustworthy shop to do what they say they will. Im always VERY skeptical about mechanics I havent worked with. I have expensive vehicles that, in the past, have resulted in quotes of a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars for the same repair. Best Western Transmission came highly recommended, so I gave them a call. I spoke with Jesse (Manager) and we discussed a range of possible solutions. He was polite, knowledgeable, and quoted me a very reasonable price. He informed me they were very busy, but hed be happy to perform the work for me. I dropped the car off, informed him I wasnt in a hurry, and asked him to keep me informed. Over the next two weeks, Jesse called on several occasions to update me on the status of my car as they worked on, diagnosed, and fixed the problem. The service Best Western Transmission provide for me was of the highest standard. The price was fair, and they did what they they promised.. fixed my vehicle! I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family (and have already done so).

Absolutely superior customer service. Went in to get a auxiliary transmission cooler installed for about $1,000 total. Owner gave me a better and more effective solution, cleaned out the cooler units, put in synthetic and installed the deeper pan I brought....saved $600. Owner is legit and honest and super helpful along with the rest of the team!

Seriously if you need transmission work, go here. The guy who manages the place is really nice and will be HONEST with you. I took my 09 Saturn to Maroone for an oil change and they told me that my transmission fluid was black and that it needed changed immediately for $200. As a natural skeptic, I wanted a second opinion. I called Best Western and they got me in for a free inspection and said it didnt look like the fluid had even been checked but that it definitely wasnt black and didnt need immediate attention. The guy suggested a regular drain and fill, we got it scheduled for a few days later and my car is running great. 5 stars. Will use again.

Almost 10 years ago we used Best Western to rebuild our 99 Tahoe transmission. They did a great job then and we were happy with their customer focused attitude.The rebuilt transmission just failed and Best Western stepped up one more time by honoring the owner warranty we obtained then. John is amazing!! We had our 2011 Ford F-150 into the Ford service center and were told we needed a brand new transmission. John was able to get us in the next day for a complimentary evaluation and found that we were not in need of a new transmission, but some small parts to repair. He was very professional and efficient and saved us thousands of dollars. I would highly recommend them for any transmission work.

The Best Western Transmission located at the Citadel location and managed by Jesse provides superior transmission service at the right cost. I brought my 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche in and explained the symptoms to Jesse who listened closely and was able to help me with a plan to repair my transmission. Additionally, Jesse set me up with first class no-cost transportation while I was without my truck. My trucks transmission was rebuilt in only two days. I have been driving it over a month since the rebuild and Jesse had me bring it in for a free checkup and its like new and drives like its new. I personally talked to the mechanic, actually technician is a better word for the professional who rebuilt my transmission, and I can only say that The Citadel Best Western Transmission provides superior service and repair and should be the place to go when needed.

The 4WD on my Tahoe stopped working and the first estimate I received was from a major auto dealer on Woodmen Rd; $1200 and were not sure that will fix the problem. I was referred to John at Best Western Transmission by the folks at Tire World (I believe their words were, thats BS...go see John). I dropped my car off and John called me later that afternoon with the exact diagnosis and a cost of $630. He needed to order a part, but was able to get it quickly and I had my car fixed within a business day. I will definitely be returning whenever I need work on my car, and Ill be recommending him to everyone I know! Thank you John!

My sons Jeep started making a weird noise that sounded like a transfer case problem. I know that t-cases are expensive to rebuild and that it is hard to know what it going on without cracking them open. In for a penny in for a pound so to speak.To say I was pleased with the outcome is a gigantic understatement. They called me this morning and after driving it around and hearing the noise, they put the Jeep on a lift. They found that somebody had pranked my son and had tied a large plastic zip tie to the rear drive shaft. They cut the zip tie and drove it and the noise was gone. They checked the t-case fluid and it was good to go.You hear horror stories of how shops will take advantage of people and do unnecessary work. I was ready to rebuild the t-case, around a $2000 repair, and if they had told me that there was something wrong I would have believed them. Instead I paid a $50 diagnostic fee and was on my way.I appreciate their integrity and honesty and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

One of our carpet cleaning vans broke down and would die anytime we put it in drive. It also made weird sounds when we put it in reverse. It was the middle of the work day when it broke down. I had another crew take over the jobs. I called my mobile mechanic but he was not available for 2 weeks.This is a work van and when it is down, we lose revenue.My mechanic said to call Best Western Transmission. John answered the phone and said he could look at it that day. I had the van towed and within an hour he diagnosed the transmission which was pretty much destroyed inside. He told me it could be up to 5 business days to get it rebuilt. I said ok, do it.John had the transmission rebuilt and back on the road in just two days. I appreciate that he under-promised and over -delivered. I am extremely happy with the service and I will recommend Best Western transmission to everyone.

Amazing customer service! Roger at the North Academy location explained everything to us from start to finish. I recently had Best Western Academy perform a fluid exchange/filter replacement on my Dodge RAM 2500. The price was reasonable, the truck was ready when promised and I feel confident that it helped prolong the life of the transmission, especially since I tow a 6,000 pound travel trailer long distances. Roger gave me good advice on how to select gears to minimize wear and keep the temperature as low as possible. This shop has done two rebuilds in the past few years as well as normal transmission maintenance, and I have developed a high level of confidence that the work will always be top-notch.

I have worked with both this location and the one at the Citadel Mall. Both times, I have had nothing but a positive experience. Ultimately, I went with Roger at the N. Academy location because it is closer to me and he is very organized. He got my truck in and done in a timely manner and kept me posted on everything that threw a kink or needed to be done. They are very honest too. Rather than trying to make money off all sorts of things with my transmission, he let me know what was up and told me that it would need to be done, but not immediately if I chose not to.

Our transmission gave up the ghost right by there back door so I walked up and asked if theyd take a look. Sadly the transmission was done which totalled the car. However they went out of there way to help me out with rides and being cool with me leaving my car there for a couple days while I figured out what to do. Then after getting bad cash offers for the car around town, the manager worked out a deal with a salvage yard he knows that was double what I was offered everywhere else. Theyre good people.

This place is awesome!!!! Roger is the greatest and most honest man I have ever met. I recently bought a used vehicle from a local dealership and a transmission issue came up. I did not anticipate any issues with my vehicle but a transmission issue did arise. I called Best Western and Roger made me a priority off the bat for being military. Matt was my mechanic and he fully diagnosed what the issue was. To my surprise it was a simple lack of transmission fluid. It was such a blessing that my issue was simple and resolved. Car repair places seem to breed dishonest people.Best Western has renewed my faith in finding an honest repair shop. Cars are complicated machines, but theyre not rocket science. Best Western took the time to explain the problem, honestly told me what they could fix and what would be better performed elsewhere. They quoted me a reasonable price and did the work right the first time!FOLLOW UP: Its been over 10 months since I wrote the original review and the car started to leak from the same part Best Western replaced back in January. I was absolutely amazed that they told me it was the same part they replaced (a lot of shops wouldnt have) and they COMPLETELY STOOD BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!!! 10 months later, they fixed it again and still no charge! These guys rock!

Best car service in town. My service engine light was on and (stupid) meineke guys told me that my transmission was gone bad. Luckily I decided to get my transmission checked with Best Western and found out that transmission didnt have any issue.My cars front wheel was making noise and I had to replace spindle. If you want your time and money wasted go here. Obviously car repairs are priority in todays age. I had previous work done, which failed. I came back within the warrantee period and even let them know a week in advance of the problem.The manager John was pleasant to speak to..Matt not so much, and this is my second round with him so its not just a bad day. I was told by him that after my car being there for 6.5 hours, he had no idea of the problems found. He did mention there would be an estimate to give hahahaha. So he knew they wanted more money, but not sure for what.?! He then said I would have to wait for John to return to the shop sometime later (they were closing in 2 hours).For a place that specializes in transmissions, youd think they could find an issue fast and atleast let you know what to expect. No calls, no emails, no follow ups. Every dollar lost counts.

They fixed a warranty item on a transmission repair that was performed by another shop. They will get all my future business and as many friends as I can help get their way. One of the best experiences with a transmission shop I have ever had.

I have always had good honest service from this shop. Many times taking in different cars with transmission issues. Only once was a rebuild needed and that was 80,000 miles ago on an Explorer. All other times a smaller repair was all that was required. The last time I went in with a leak on a transmission line from a radiator I had replaced myself and could not get it to stop leaking. They Fixed the leak and didnt charge me, based on all my past repairs and preventative Transmission flushes. They know what they are doing and only repair what is really needed. This is a place you can trust.

Collins to help me with doing my own job, which I dont recommend, and no shops want to help a diy-guy, but this shop was amazingly helpful and really surprised me. Totally positive. Manager John is a total credit to the company...give the boy a RAISE! I did a lot of checking before selecting Best Western, and am glad I did. Also, 4 Mile Car Repair in Woodland Park where our Jeep broke down recommended them and weve had 4 Mile do work for us before and love their integrity and great prices and work. The three year unlimited mileage warranty is second to none. Weve had slight trouble since the rebuild with the shifter cable not allowing the tranny to go into gear properly but both times, John and his guys adjusted it in minutes...no wait at all. Looks like we need a new cable, so it isnt their fault...just one more thing to update on our buggy. Important thing is how fast these guys are and how willing to serve and FAST...no put offs, no delays. Great first experience with Jesse and the team at Best Western on by the Citadel Mall. Even with the holidays, Jesse was able to schedule me for an appointment in less than a week. My leak required work that couldnt be done at CARMAX, so I was referred to Best Western. The whole staff was courteous and knowledgeable about the repair. I received the specific information about the repair in a timely manner. The shop was very familiar with the CARMAX extended warranty, however my repair was under my deductible. My truck was returned clean the and fixed the same day.

I took in my 15 nissan altima with the stupid CVT transmisson. and was worried about the pricing becuase once these go they go!. so i took it in and within a day he had id diagnosed and told me the exact problems and priced me a rebuilt transmisson and it was not bad at all! i ended up spending 3600 for the tranny and labor and some change. and now my car drives like its brand new ! other places were looking at 4000++ so im very happu with the reasonable price anf the quaility work ! thanks guys took stress off my back !

Both times I needed their help, the problem was minor with nominal cost to it. Years ago I had a starter that failed so I took it to a local shop. They saw a woman coming, and with dollar signs in their eyes, they informed me I needed a flux capacitor replaced in the starter. This is no joke, feel free to laugh at the obsurdity! After a much needed heiny chewing and making the fools push my car for a cluth start, I left. Regardless to my personal reasoning why integrity is so important to me, I can only say these folks have the definition nailed down and they will have my business and recommendation to anyone who needs their service! This review is LONG overdue. Unfortunately, I just got back to civilization with consistent internet access. Im from the East Coast, but did a cross country hiking trip this summer. I made it out to Nevada where my wallet was stolen. Two days after my transmission on a 2012 Nissan Versa with 70,000 miles blew out completely. I was camping, so I did not have a permanent address to which I could send my reissued license or cards. I also could not find an available camping spot to save my life. All spots were booked full. No hotel would rent me a room without a license nor would they let a family member call in a credit card. Very challenging to get a transmission repaired without a license or money. A mechanic told me that I likely could make it back to Colorado Springs, CO where my sister lived. There I could have my license and cards sent to her address. John from North Academy was a LIFE SAVER. Words cannot describe how defeated I felt at this point. John heard my story, heard that I needed to talk with someone who would not give me the runaround/ take advantage of me, and understood that I needed to get my transmission fixed fast so that I could get back home to the East Coast.His shop was wildly busy. At one point he was on the phone booking transmission and car repair appointments into the next month. However, he still had mercy on me and fit me in that day. He immediately got my transmission part ordered, showed me a complete breakdown of where the cost for the total repair came from (x amount from part, x amount for fluid, x amount for labor), and had my car finished within a week. The only reason it took that long is because bolts on my car broke, so he had to order replacement bolts and wait for them to come in. But Im telling you with everything that went wrong John and his team moved at lightning speed and were kind enough to help me when I felt utterly defeated.John is one of the kindest people Ive met in my life. He runs a very honest shop, which I learned quickly throughout my experience cannot always be found. These are strong, but very true statements. He absolutely goes out of his way to help his customers. He can turn what is seemingly a mortifying situation for someone into a this is under control situation. John went so far as to give me advice on which transmissions are most reliable, which car brands are most reliable, etc. I asked him a million questions and took up a great deal of his time, but he did not once make me feel bad about asking him questions related to cars. His feedback and research on cars helped me a great deal. I actually went home, traded in my Nissan Versa, heeded Johns advice, and got a new car with a more reliable transmission/ history as a car brand.If youre looking for a shop with phenomenal employees who will not take advantage of you, who will go so far as to show you exactly where youre money is spent, and just all in all go above and beyond to help you as a customer then truly Best Western Transmission - North Academy is the place to go.

I have rarely had the kind of service I have experianced at BWTN. They truely have gone beyond the expected to provide quality sevrice several times over the past six years. I have complete confidence in working with these proffessionals. Never had better service and follow through in the 40 years I have been diving an dealing with car troubles! I wouldnt go to anyone else.
