Some of the worst customer service Ive ever received. I appreciate what they do in regards to rescuing and training, but their staff needs some serious customer service training. I tried to rent their facility for a private play date, as they have advertised on their website. For 3 weeks I tried to get this booked, but no one would help me. Getting them to respond to an email was like pulling teeth. And when they would respond, they provided no information about booking the space whatsoever. So I finally requested a phone call, and they scheduled a time to call me. When the time came, no phone call. They emailed and said the person that was going to call me was running late, and theyd call in 15 minutes. No surprise, but that phone call never came, and I never heard from them again. If you arent interested in helping people rent your space, just get rid of it as an option. These people had zero desire to assist. Really poor service all around.Edit after response from owner- yes, I sent an email indicating I was no longer interested after 3 weeks of getting nowhere and after your staff was a no-show to the appointment they scheduled. This is not my fault, but thanks for trying to blame me. No, Im not interested in your services.

We enrolled our 7 month old puppy in the online Neodog 1 class. We missed one class due to vacation early on, and we were told we would have one in-person class with this package.I emailed our trainer several times to let her know we would be out of town and to schedule our make-up/in-person class. I never heard from her. I finally had to tell the network guy. When graduation day came, my dog decided he wanted to play outside instead of doing the work. The trainer said that it was ok to schedule my dogs in-person class, and we would do his graduation then.I showed up for his make-up/in-person class today and was told the trainer wasnt even there. The woman in the office told me she would call to see if she was on her way. I was instructed to go sit back in the car. I waited for 30 minutes. No call. Nothing. How very disappointing. This class came highly recommended by a couple of different people. Maybe it would have been different if the entire thing was done in-person.Other than the incredibly lousy customer service, the information was great.Update: No, thank you. I feel like if my appointment time was truly at 3:30, the woman in the office could have relayed that information to me when I arrived, or she could have come out to let me know once she spoke with the trainer, or the trainer could have called to let me know she would be there in an hour. Any number of things could have worked in this situation. I put the time in my phone as we were setting the appointment. Its just another excuse.

I absolutely love this place! I first took my pup here in 2019 shortly after rescuing her from a shelter and realizing that she had some behavior issues. They were a lifesaver back then and she has grown into an amazing, confident, and happy dog. We still take classes because we enjoy it

The whole team at ABRT is just amazing! We have taken so many classes with them and our newest was Canine Connection, the “high school” of classes. We were nervous when starting but it’s been amazing to watch us grow as humans, our dog grow in her confidence and skills, and our relationship grow together! The trainers are so amazing at knowing exactly how to work through roadblocks and really understand what the dog needs to learn. We look forward to going every chance we get.

I believe this group does good work, but was disappointed when we had an issue with the dog we adopted. All of the paperwork we received said they would take the dog back - in fact, we HAD to give the dog back if there was an issue. But when we contacted them they said they couldnt take him back and just gave us a list of rescues that we might want to contact. It was a disappointing and heartbreaking outcome.

We found All Breed after adopting our dog at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region. They were recommended as the place to get training for our dog. All Breed is even better than that, they train you to train your dog. After a couple of classes in Neo Dog 1 I knew this was a great non-profit and decided it would be a great volunteer opportunity. I have since done many of the volunteer positions working with dogs and people and have found they are truly a great organization saving animals lives and enriching peoples lives through positive trust built relationship training. The training available ranges from simple obedience all the way through specialties. I highly recommend you try All Breed.

10/10 wholeheartedly recommend their training program. Just finished Neo Dog 1 and already signed up for the next level to keep honing my dog’s skills. The approach is directly in line with the most up to date and relevant studies on learning theory. If you have a bad dog, a dog that’s rough around the edges or a good dog that could be excellent, check out ABRT. These guys know how to train some dogs and foster a healthy human animal bond!UPDATED - 10 Stars if I could! My rescue pup Kit is completing her third class at ABRT this week. Were practicing for our graduation final exam with Lauren now and I keep smiling seeing the progress Kit has made. Through their positive training, my fearful and insecure street dog has grown into a confident and happy obedient girl (mostly obedient - she still has the independent street dog streak and always will). Im a veterinarian in town and recommend the behavior and training teams to my clients regularly. I dont think this is our last class at ABRT. Its too much fun to grow in my relationship with my dog through training and play. I know Im reaching out with a slim chance here but Im asking if someone or all breed rescue and training facility would be willing to take and rehome my baby boy. I live in co springs and I can no longer keep my dog. His name is Jersey and he was born into our family, he is 4 yrs old going on 5 yrs and was born on Sep 6th. Hes smart, lovable, energetic, sweet, obedient and understands commands/tricks. He loves people and is great with children and babies. He has a micro chip it just needs to be renewed. He is also neutered and had all his rabies shots. He has no aggression towards humans. He does have some separation anxiety and does not get along with other dogs. He can get along with cats as long as you introduce them properly. He is familiar and plays with my cats at home but would need to be tested for cats in a new environment.Im looking for an experienced home that will nurture and give Jersey the TLC he needs. He has special needs but he will make you feel special beyond compare with all the love he has to give.Jersey unfortunately got into a dog fight and has a limited amount of time before he is euthanized because I cant keep him anymore and no place around here will take him. He only has until tomorrow...I would love to hear back from anyone about anything.Sincerely, loving dog owner

Non profit or not. Do these animals need homes? Why haven’t I heard a response in 20 days!.. change the information on your website and give a realistic explanation of what to expect when trying to adopt and pay all of the fees you’re asking. You say 7-10 days not 20. I’m opting for an organization that is actually interested in adopting out there animals. Extremely disappointed as we thought we had found our new addition.

The reason I did not initially give this rescue a 5 star rating had to do with volunteer orientation. I felt like the owner spent most of the time talking about her animals and less about program volunteer expectations. I even asked about bringing my own pet in while volunteering as I clearly seen front desk workers interacting with what appeared to be their own pets. Also no follow ups e.g. hello checking in, we seen you had completed orientation we have ____ volunteer positions open when would you like to come in ? etc. I felt like this experience was a waste of time.*******Update based on response received from owner*******I’ll go ahead and reach out via email.Yes it was the puppy class.I also wanted to say thank you to her or whomever responded and that I appreciate them not reacting negatively towards how I viewed the orientation. I do realize that what I’d said could have been taken out of context or viewed negatively because the care that goes into our pets is very personal and individual to all of us. And what she views about her pets is exactly that— she loves her animals and for someone such as myself, to make a negative remark/rating on google reviews could be offensive. I am sorry to her.My point of saying; I’d felt like she talked about her own pets more than anything else had more to do with what I thought was going to be the main topics of discussion regarding volunteer expectations and less to do with her experiences personally. Finally please don’t change how you do things you are great and so are your staff members. Again I apologize.

This organization probably does have nice, clean facilities, but they have no heart. They did rescue a dog from a kill shelter, that was a good thing. The bad part is this dog belonged a little girl who’s abusive, non custodial father surrendered the dog. He broke the little girl’s heart and likely the dog’s heart.Their communications with the mother who tried to get the dog back were extremely patronizing and showed no understanding that maybe a dog separated from her human might regress and have separation anxieties. They showed no understanding or consideration of a mother’s heart. The mother was willing to pay what it took to get the dog back and do the classes, ( which one pays for...) despite being a pretty qualified animal care person in her own right. They watched that poor little girl cry and this is a little girl who has suffered enough!I really was left with a bad taste in my mouth over their actions toward the dog, the little girl and her mother.I now can’t feel the same about any rescues after this.I definitely would not recommend this place, because they are regarding the dog as property and not a living being. Dogs are very loyal animals. They did not respect the dog’s heart.

Review №81

Their training is top notch, and Lauren is so knowledgeable and passionate. It comes through in her work.My problem is the communication and professionalism of the staff working here.I am fostering for this organization and thought it was kind of odd that I was given a puppy without a home inspection and only a few pieces of paper. So, I went out and searched myself for eligible families to adopt little bitty. I thought I had found one and we got all the way to the meet and greet at the facility only to find out there was a bite history on the puppy I got. I HAD NO CLUE! I knew she was a little snippy but I just attributed it to being a puppy. Needless to say, I looked like a fool trying to give her to a family with a small daughter. I wish they would have informed me that she was returned for BITING to begin with.I was informed that the staff does not even put up a profile for the dog until after 2 weeks the animal is in the home. I am fine with it, but would have liked to know this when I picked her up. I would not have actively been looking for a good family for the pup to go to if 2 weeks is the minimum. Another thing they failed to mention when I agreed to foster. When me and the staff member were talking about this, she jokingly said there are so many dogs that have been in fostering for months and still dont have a profile. This made it seem as if they are not really trying to get the dogs adopted. I dont think that is the case, but it definitely should have been brought to my attention prior to me taking temporary custody. So two weeks after that I thought I had found another family that I thought would be perfect for her. Active, young couple without children and have a house with a big back yard for her to be happy. The difference was this time, they were informed about her biting history. I was very excited, but that went out the window when we got to the next meet and greet. The potential adoptive mom was stuck behind a wreck and running a little late, which I told the worker. Apparently the worker had an attitude about her being late and was talking mess, not knowing that the adoptive mother had already shown up and was at the facility. The adoptive client heard everything said, and was very embarrassed. Yet again... I look like a fool for trying because the staff was insulting and I had highly recommended them.Lastly we went to the class today and sat in the parking lot for a while. 2 staff members saw me and walked by. They failed to mention there is no class today. I checked my email and there it was... no class today. I admit it was my mistake, but if you saw me there waiting for the class could it not be a little courteous to say hey there is no class today? When I agreed to foster this little girl I did not know all the details. I probably would not have taken on a pup with a biting history (which they failed to mention), or even began fostering if I knew there was a 2 week minimum before she could even be posted to go to a home. With my husband coming home from his deployment we expected her to have already found a home by now, and I am nervous as to how he will react when he comes home Saturday. I really wish the details would have been given to me prior. I will do my part and see this foster pup through to the best of my ability (for the dogs sake), but I will not be fostering again, probably ever. This is not meant to be a hate review, but maybe an eye opener as to the break down in communication and a reminder that people are always listening. I do not like feeling like a fool and I definitely do not like having to apologize for the rude comments of others. Another important thing is to tell the foster family the ins and outs BEFORE they agree on fostering(like the 2 week minimum, how long the profile takes, and if the animal has a history on them). This needs to be brought to somebodys attention. Although I have had some negative experiences, I do not think this is a bad organization at all.

I got involved with ABRT because my dog is afraid of other dogs and some human strangers so she comes off big, mean, and loud. After a behavioral evaluation, ABRT agreed that she was a good candidate to take classes even with other dogs and strangers! They set up the room so my dog was comfortable (blocking her line of sight as needed and making sure she had her own space) and we didnt have a single issue. Over a couple years, we ended up graduating NEO 1, NEO 2, Canine Connection, Nose Knows, Intro to Odor, Beginner Tricks, and finally even got our Canine Good Citizen Certificate (my long-term goal for my now not-so-scared girl)! All of the people in this facility know how to interact with dogs with behavior challenges and all clients are informed how to handle their dogs to prevent problems...even around sensitive dogs like mine.To this day, I can walk my sensitive dog into that facility and she is completely unafraid. It is her safe-space. She approaches strangers and shows off how good she is in case theyre carrying treats (they are) and shes happy to ignore dogs in and around the facility and classes because shes never ONCE had a bad experience in that setting. Shes still a bit shy in the wild so to speak, but still 100x better than she was before. In full disclosure, I loved the education I received at ABRT enough that I ended up volunteering with them, entering their training program, and ultimately becoming certified as a dog trainer myself (CPDT-KA). Sadly, we moved so I have to continue my girls training on my own, but it was ABRT that gave me the tools I needed to tackle that mountain and Ill be forever grateful.

Ive been taking my puppy there since he was about 14 weeks old. Weve completed the puppy class and neo-dog I, and Ive got nothing but good things to say about ABRT. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and I feel they truly care about the people and dogs who are their customers. I definitely recommend ABRT to anyone who is looking for classes for their dog.
