I have patronized this post office for the past 20 years since moving back to Virginia. Every encounter with postal employees has been marked by courtesy and professionalism. They have been friendly and helpful, offering advice when I needed it.

Terribly slow service, It is very obvious that their time is much more valuable than yours.

Postmaster was very rude and dismissive. Didn’t even let me explain my issue before he cut me off and said he could not help me. Refused to give me the number to HR so they could address my problem. Will not be returning here for any type of service.

I go to colonial heights post once a week. I hate when I have to go. Employees are not friendly at all. Today they were out of tape so I had to purchase tape. I could have went to ups for what I paid to ship and tape.

Had a great experience. Ive been to a lot of PO in Chesterfield, Richmond, the Outer Banks and Florida. This one stands out...it is stocked, organized and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

The service at the actual store is fantastic. Despite Covid19 the heroes here keep working hard to provide shipping. Of course the actual USPS experience is below par at the moment due to new Postmaster General who is deliberately sabotaging the postal service. Compounded with the crisis of the pandemic postal service is a little unreliable. However I dont blame the heroes that work here for they have always been helpful

Beware. If you must buy your mailbox key from this facility! Moved into a new townhouse. Immediately after signing my lease, I headed to this USPS store to sign the necessary paperwork/ pay for my key. The teller was very helpful, she told me the carrier would be out within the next few days to deliver my key. That was TWO WEEKS AGO. I stopped by the store last Friday to see what the hold up was. I was told the arrival of my key wasnt in their hands and it had everything to do with the carrier. There wasnt anything they could do to help me, but he should be out within the next few days. A week later and still no key. At this point it is getting a little ridiculous. I have important documents coming in to this address that need to be signed and returned. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. The tellers seem to be hElpful until there is an issue, then they give you attitude.

I went in to return a package this morning. I was bluntly told they dont have the tape for my label and have no tape I can purchase. Just a reminder of how grateful I am for the friendly people and service at UPS. Thankful I rarely have to deal with the United States Postal Service but it is unfortunate that I have unpleasant experiences when I do.

How was my package deliveredwhen no postal worker even showed up to my door. Thief stole my package. Contacted the Better Business Bureau.

Just rude people who dont care about nothing!

I recently moved to this area in September. At least once a week I received mail that has been partially opened and tempered with. I have complained about this once before and its still occurring. My concern is what mail I havent received because they may have found what they are looking for or have taken some of my personal information. I am livid and plan on confronting my mail carrier this evening. He is who I suspect. I will be contacting federal authorities and the better business bureau. This is criminal and I will not tolerate it.

Waiting on a package for over two weeks now... it should have been here weeks ago. no updates and no way to reach anyone. if the post office is funded by tax dollars and they cant deliver mail, packages or stimulus checks on time or at all and they operate on a loss year after year, maybe they shouldnt be allowed to have a monopoly on mail delivery or exist at all.

Have called this local office 27 times today. Not one answer. 27 times!!!!!! I will be going there in person because obviously they deliberately will not answer the phone.

My issue is with the USPS in general and not necessarily with the staff here. The staff members are very nice whenever I visit, but 2 times I have sent a pkg to Wash DC. A priority 2 day shipment took 10 days to arrive and the most recent pkg dropped off at the counter on Feb 1, 2020 has not arrived as of Feb 11, 2020. I will not ship anymore from this location for time-sensitive items. Fedex, here I come.

Useless with outdated equipment to keep up with thier work load. The whole USPS needs a redo its 2020....

The staff here were awesome. I was having an issue with mailing out a good amount of material and everyone including the staff,the supervisor, and post master were awesome in helping me. This branch will be my primary choice when shipping for my company in colonial heights

Tim Harrison is the worst postmaster ever! I had a legitimate complaint about my mail carrier and Tim told me that I was lying. We went back and forth until I could clearly see that he DID NOT care how the carrier did not do his job properly. I finally told him to have a good day and he replied I always have a good day in a nasty tone. I have never experienced anything like this before although Im not surprised.

What kind of post office does not allow you to pick up a perishable package from them the morning of delivery before you move? I was told its in office and the tracking shows and was told they dont allow mail pick up. No wonder why this organization is in debt and having to be bailed out it is atrocious every time I have had to deal with them in any way. Lose funding and get it over with.

Kudos and God Bless all postal employees who keep the mail and packages coming in the state of Virginia. I pray for the safety of all who are keeping our nation supplied with necessities.

Manager is rude and unprofessional. Employees are nice but the customer is not served well with a manager who is more interested is giving excuses than solutions. Petersburg is far more helpful and professional.

Awful hours, rude staff, kind of like living in a third world country. I ordered a package from halfway across the world. Because their hours are so limited it took me two weeks before I had time to pick it up. By then, they had sent it back to Kiev wothout any warning.

Observed opening our mail and going through personal belongings claiming they have the rights to open up peoples mail and packages to go through. If have the rights, WHERE IS THE PAPERWORK SAYING/SHOWING THEIR RIGHTS? OTHERWISE ILLEGAL MAIL FRAUD! BEWARE: THIS POST OFFICE WILL STEAL YOUR BELONGINGS! BEWARE!

Went in here to ship multiple packages, i was the next person in line and was asking about which box i would need to ship them, the customer service woman was being nice answering my questions, then ignored me and started helping the man who came in after me.....smh what is wrong with this.....i am loosing faith...

I have often wondered why a post office that serves a very large area, still opens at 10am. Other post offices open earlier. Why arent they all on the same opening/closing hours? I think the Colonial Heights Post Office should open at 8am or 9am.
