Fantastic customer service and quality of repair. Work was done extremely fast and Keith was great at communicating updates. Fixed timing belt and water pump issue. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Called this morning and talked to Keith at 7:30AM and asked if he could do tire balance and crank shaft sensor and he said yes bring it in ASAP. Was already on the road and there in 15 minutes. When I arrived Lameka or Lateshia not sure what her name was but started with a L was behind the counter and I told her Keith said he would get my service done today and also told her I had to have my van for tomorrow. She said they would call me in a bit with an estimate for the sensor replace. 4pm now and still no call or estimate so I called and asked if they were going to get it done today and she said if not today tomorrow morning. I said thats why Im calling because I need my van for work tomorrow. She said thats right I remember and put me on hold. Gets back on the phone and said my van is next and she will call and keep me informed. 530pm now and half a hour before closing and still no call so I drive down there and show up no call on the way and they have not done anything. Lady had nothing but excuses why she never called and was very rude when I asked any questions.Wasted my time and gas and my girlfriends time and gas. I have come here for many years and will never come here again because there employees ruined it for me. Not even an apology.

They tried to charge me 2770.00 for a Manifold gasket. Was charged 53.00 for diagnostics fee. Took car home and Main fan was not coming on went Auto Zone ordered and replaced the next day 110.00. Do not recommend this place after 20 years of spending my money there. Not anymore.

This place always gives first class service. The employees have changed over the last couple years but everyone is very friendly, and they dont pressure you to add on services.

I called and made an appointment for my oil change. I asked if they could use motor craft oil. No problem the guy told me and he told me it only took 10 minutes for him to get oil to his shop. I then asked price. He said it would probably be $60+ depending on price of oil. After I had oil changed and went to pay it was $93.50 ! They charged me $19.99 labor, plus the other small fees. I’ve NEVER in my life had to pay labor on top of an oil change! And if he would have told me that when I asked the price of the oil change when making the appointment I would have said NEVER mind! I have used this place years ago. But know I see they are dishonest with their customers. I will tell everyone not to use them. Who wants to be cheated.

I got a flat tire on the side of the I 95 I had assumed the tire had blown and would need to be replaced. I called Midas (my regular shop) and asked if I would be able to just replace the one tire or have to replace all 4. They said to just bring it in and let them take a look. This is the only place I take my car where I trust that they are going to do good work at a fair price and never try to gouge me. Turned out they were able to repair the tire and get me back on the road for under $40. Anywhere else would have said yes, I needed a new tire and charged me hundreds. I love these folks!!!

I was traveling home today when my ABS and Traction light suddenly came on. Car was shaking a little bit. Called and talked to Felicia and she said come on by. Within a couple of hours they had me fixed up and back on the road with all smiles. The staff is so friendly and courteous. They were upfront about pricing and what I needed. Even gave me a free oil change for my next visit. I will be doing ALOT more business here. This was definitely an unexpected stop today, but one that I’m very glad I made!! Thank you so much. I just moved into the area and my truck was needing a state inspection an oil change and tire rotation I showed up Saturday morning to a different place a friend recommended and was there pretty early already was a wait and come to find out the 2nd state inspector was out sick so all they could do was  the tire rotation and oil change just starting a new job I couldnt afford to take any  time off work so I got on my phone at 8 oclock in the morning started looking through Google reviews to see if I could find a different place to get all 3 things done  in one day  I came across Midas and Google reviews had nothing but positive feedback so I decided to give them a call Felicia answered the phone and I jokingly said is this the one and only Felicia from Google reviews she laughed and i knew then it was gonna be a good experience so I explained my situation she said if I could have my truck in there by 930 she could get everything done for me before close of business at 4 ,Gave me a price quote over the phone and her customer service over the phone was extremely pleasant so I without a doubt got in truck and headed that way Once I got there the shop was clean she was very pleasant great personality and everybody there was nice so I filled out my paperwork gave my keys and was going to go sit outside and wait for my ride in that time a gentleman was dropping off his car and we had a great conversation he explained to me that he been bringing his car there for 6 years and has had nothing but positive experiences and will always bring his car there so that made me feel much better as well about my decision Within this conversation with the gentleman Felicia came by to check on me and asked  Erica are you OK do  you have a ride coming i said yes she is still sleeping but should be here in a bit she said I tell you what we dont have a lot going on today come inside ill have you fill out some paperwork and you can have this loaner car until your truck was ready I was beside myself I didnt think customer service like this still existed Coming from a background myself in shops and growing up with my daddy . So I filled out the paperwork got in the cutest little Honda Fit And I was on my way to complete some of the tasks and errands I needed to run for the day I got a text around 1:30 my truck was ready everything was fine and accomplished kudos to the techs ...so I went to go get my truck price was correct again just incredible customer service great people to be around I definitely will be returning and will be using the shop for my truck service needs highly recommended I even gave Felicia hug I couldnt help myself So to the owners you have a great crew working for you every one of them deserves a Pat on the back and I appreciate you for having such A great establishment and Team . Ill see yall  again in 5000  miles😁 ....

Great service as always. Quick and professional job

The service took longer than anticipated, but they were short staffed and very busy. I made an appointment online because of leaking brake fluid. They took my car back as scheduled and showed me what exactly was wrong. The price was pretty much what I what I was expecting ;I was just glad they were able to get my car fixed the same day. Thank you for being so professional and friendly. I will make this my repair shop from now on.

Absolutely incredible service. I came here to get a flat tire fixed. How surprised I was when told that they would do it for free. Two hours later I came back to pick up my tire and they even installed it back onto my car. Couldnt thank them enough. Considering the effort put in a gave the mechanic a small tip, and walked off a highly satisfied customer. If I ever need anything else this is the place Ill be coming to. Just exceptional service. You can tell that customer satisfaction is a priority here. Highly recommend it.

I made an 8:00 appointment to get my car inspected. The parking lot was full so I thought Id be there all day. NOPE! They took my car back almost immediately. Being female, Ive had problems with taking my car to a shop. People do take advantage. Where I thought there would a billion things wrong with the car, there wasnt. They made suggestions, but only a couple of minor things were needed and they did them quick and got me out of there!I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!I definitely will take my car back!!!

I didnt know they were gonna check all this extra stuff which is fine but I like to confirm that if giving the opportunity which I wasnt but they also over charge and they dont communicate well they were trying to charge me over 300 bucks to change back breaks come to find out through my own mechanic it was only one back break needed changing... That price was ridiculous and they over exaggerated how low my one break was saying it was metal to metal which it still had life on it technically

We had 2 cars worked on here for 2 oil changes and refilled fluid. With my military discount both cars were less than $100.00 and they were super friendly. I would go back for sure. They took a little longer than expected but thats okay.

My tire light came on as I was traveling to the area. I called several tire places and a Honda dealership but everyone was booked! No one could even chk my air pressure. I called Midas and spoke with Felicia at the Colonial Heights location and she told me to drop off my vehicle and she would squeeze me in. I received a text showing the nail that was in my tire. She took my worry and stress away and they were able to fix my tire. HUGE thanks!

I was heading home from a funeral about 90 mi east of this location. I had another 60 mi to go. I started having a problem with one tire leaking. it was only half an hour before they closed and they got me taken care of and could not have been more courteous. Thank you Midas!

I love my MIDAS in Colonial Heights, VA! The folks here are always friendly and helpful, competent and professional, and service is prompt and fast. If there is an issue with any lengthy repairs or a delay because of parts being ordered they will give me one of their courtesy loaner cars. I have brought all our vehicles over the past 10 years for all maintenance and repair work here and have never been disappointed! I highly recommend them!

You overcharged on fixing an issue with my vehicle and the car now has additional issues because of the service you did on this car. I wish that I would have never came to MIDAS.

First time here other than when Midas hosted a Red Cross blood drive. I just needed an oil change, made an appointment .. took me immediately upon arrival. I had a voucher for free oil change. In less than 30 minutes car was ready .. inspected belts, hoses, tires and fluids and gave recommendations . Will definitely return !

I went in needing multiple things done on my car. 4 new tires, a new axle, tie rod, and brakes not only did they do it right but the time was less than half of what a regular shop would have done. Excellent customer service, speed and attention to detail. Very impressed!

My Son went to this location 11-8-2019 with a 1pm appointment. By 3pm he was not seen yet nor was the vehicle on the hoist to be inspected. Big Failure on Midas’s part for not honoring the appointment. Needless to say they lost a customer and i won’t recommend. Your customers keep your business open and pay your employees salaries, Lets do better!!

For years, I have come to this shop, and it occurs to me I have never given them a review. This is a travesty, because they are unquestionably the single best auto shop I have ever been to. I have used the services of other Midas locations and other auto shops (local and chain) but none compare. Management here shines as one of the most customer-friendly businesses I have ever encountered. They are reliable, accommodating, straightforward, and have done better to educate me on my vehicles needs than any other business I have consulted. They have repeatedly proven reliable, trustworthy, affordable, and respectful. I am sure most other Midas locations, most other garages, and most businesses in general can learn a lot from this shop. Dont let their status as a chain location fool you - they have my highest recommendation.

Great place! Went in for a standard oil change and both the gentleman at the counter and the gentleman that worked on the car went over all the detail and didnt try to push on upselling other items. Will definitely be coming here again.

Before I got to Midas, I was looking to get my vehicle inspected. I had went to numerous places and they were unable to. Went to Midas and was able to make an appointment for the following Monday and before sticker expired. Midas offered a vehicle to me instead of me waiting but I was fine. The technician found that I needed a new filter and I so appreciated that but at the same time upset with the business I had previously been taking my car to to get services and they never notified me about that nor about the coolant system that needs to be flushed. Midas is very thorough with my vehicle and advised on so many things. I know most places will try to find stuff but I trust that what Midas technician found I actually need done and they actually have me prices and a time line on when I need a those suggested services. The only thing I would suggest is better parking and waiting area. Other than that, I will be entrusting my vehicle with them. Unfortunately I dont remember they gentlemans name who was in the front(I think Roland) but he was wonderful as well.

Two hours for oil change and inspection a bit much

The BEST. I bring our Maserati to this facility now three years in a row for state inspection. They never disappoints and always courteous and professional. Brandon rocks and does a super job at repairs and inspections.

Cant say enough about how great our experience was. Friendly staff, great service, and no scare tactics! We will definitely be going back to them for all of our future car services! Thanks again to Roland and the rest of the Midas team!

I was ready to just sell my car, but Jason reassured me that the problems could be fixed. He called me and stated that I could get all the major issues fixed for a very good price. After getting my vehicle back I am very satisfied with what they did. Jason kept me updated the whole time with what they were doing and I would definitely recommend this location.

After reading the reviews, I decided to first get an oil change here to see how everything would go. I drive a VW so I got a full synthetic oil change. They completed that quickly and for a fair price. They also did a courtesy inspection to let me know what needed attention on my vehicle. I discovered I needed a ball joint and the right axle. They gave me a much better price that the dealership and I needed it to pass inspection so I figured why not. Made an appointment for the next day, took it in and they immediately started working on it. About halfway through, Jason, recommended that the other boot was starting to show the same signs and conditions as its sister boot, and suggested I change the whole axle since the vehicle was already apart. This saved me a few hundred dollars than waiting and having to bring it back on a separate day so I figured why not. I would like to note he did not at all push anything on me but kindly suggested. While I waited Roland was very polite and even gave me estimates on a few other services I would have liked to perform on later dates and lo and behold they were much cheaper than the dealership. He printed out the estimate for the services for me and answered my questions very courteously. After the service was all done, I realized I had forgot to ask about a chirp coming from inside my car that I had been trying for weeks to get to the bottom of. Jason went out of his way to use a stethoscope and do his best to make an educated guess which belt and pulley it was coming from and gave me a good quote for that service, and once again recommended I get that done while getting one of my other services done since the car would be taken apart and it would save me hundreds in labor costs. All in all, thank you Midas of Colonial Heights for your terrific work and customer service! I will definitely be bringing my vehicle back for future repairs little and big!

This is one of the best mechanics and shops you will find. The owner and his employees are honest, hard-working, helpful, and very concerned about safety. Theyve corrected issues where other mechanics have half-fixed issues for me, ignored things that were safety issues, fixed things that I had been told were not fixable, etc. Theyre incredibly affordable and they go over everything with you before doing the work and notify you of any surprises so theres nothing unexpected coming. My fiancée and I experienced car trouble on our way to Washington DC on Christmas weekend. We stopped in Colonial Heights, Virginia at Midas in order to have our car checked. Jason, Roland, and his team were able to get us in quickly, and diagnose the issue. They found that our car had lost most of the transmission fluid due to seal breaking on the CV joint. The team fixed the issue and were able to get us back on the road in a timely manner. This was an extremely busy day for their business, but they were very helpful. We appreciate them being able to fit us in on such short notice and helping us get back on the road. We would highly recommend this Midas location!

I stopped there expecting to have my car looked at the next day but they were more than happy to help me not only that same day but as much as I needed after.The service is very genuine and Im grateful for their help.

I have been to this location a few times, and each time I was given the best service. At other places I have felt like I was being taken advantage of because I am a woman and know nothing about cars, but at Midas they take the time to explain things to me so I can understand what the issue is and even take me to the back and show me the problem. I will continue to have my car serviced at this location and I highly recommend them!

I just visited the Colonial Heights Midas shop. When I entered the office there were no cars in any of the bays. I asked the manager if they could get my car in for an alignment. He said it would be no problem. I would have to wait 10-15 minutes. I agreed but did not understand. As the time passed and no new customers cars entered the shop a technician drove a car onto the alignment rack. I ask the manager what was going on and he stated that it was a car that was dropped off earlier and was there all day. I asked why my car was not taken in and was told that the technician was just doing his job. If i had known this I would not have wasted my time waiting. The customer service at this place is terrible.

Ive only been here twice, but recently submitted an appointment request online for a state inspection that expires at the end of this month, so time is of the essence....and no one got back with me. 👎 Looks like I may have to go somewhere else.

We were traveling to New Jersey from Florida and were stuck in a bind. We blew out two back tires. They were the only place within 3 hours that had the tire in stock. The car is a Mercedes and the back tires are oversized and harder to come by. They were extremely courteous and just overall helpful. Everyone here was friendly with the customers while it was extremely busy.

I used to enjoy coming to Midas until this last visit. My niece had been driving for a couple of months at this point. I had been helping her with driving on the road, learning the rules of the road, etc. My niece has pumped gas in my car a couple times with me and knows my car uses Regular grade. I let her borrow my car one night to go pick up her sister from work and so they can grab a bite to eat. I asked her to put gas in my car on her way back home. The next morning, I cant start my car. I noticed my headlights were in the on position so I figured it drained the battery. Tow truck said battery was fine but your oil is black and below the level line. Now keep this in mind...I GOT AN OIL CHANGE LESS THEN 2 WEEKS AGO FROM THIS DAY BY MIDAS. For the past year, I had been going to Merchants (now NTB or something like that) for my oil change but they were booked at that time and Midas didnt have a long wait. So Im like what the h*!! Im at work by now because I had my roommate take me to work while she figures out why my car wont start and the oil is about dry. We were literally told two different things by two different people at Midas that was working on my car. First guy said he think he knows whats wrong but he had to confirm first. He told me there was NO diesel gas found in my car but my fuel pump wasnt working and I needed a new one. I asked for a quote and it was almost $1000 to do including labor. I asked about the oil and he said it was changed. A little later in the day a different guy said there was diesel found in my car and thats why my car wouldnt start. Im confused now because now there are two different people that had said they checked my car and came up with two different things. My roommate said something isnt right and she didnt want Midas working on my car. To make matters worse, the customer service sucked!! Plan and simple. The guy at the front desk was argumentative with my sister about my niece putting diesel in my car, paying them for looking at the car, him being right and knowing the oil was changed because he changed it personally and just a big mess. Ive worked at jobs having to provide customer service...the way the whole situation was handled was unacceptable. I also had over 200 miles of gas until empty in my car when I brought it to Midas. When the tow truck came to move my car on his truck and take it to Merchants he said there was no gas. I asked Midas why there was no gas in the car? Do yall drain the gas when you check to see what type of gas is in the car? The guy said they dont drain the gas and he doesnt know what happened to it. I get to Merchants and it a smooth and cheaper experience. They confirmed diesel in my car. All they had to do was flush my car of the diesel. My fuel pump was in great condition because my car locked up before the diesel could mess it up. The total cost was $132. Now how my niece put diesel in my car was an honest mistake and she felt bad for it and offered to pay to fix my car. Some gas stations have diesel gas pumps right next to the other grade gases. She accidentally picked up the diesel pump, hit regular grade gas (which wouldnt matter because when you pick up a diesel pump its going to pump diesel) and started pumping. Luckily, I had more regular grade gas in my car then the diesel that she pumped in because it wound up being diluted.*Added note: this incident happened back in December 2017, it is now 4 months later and my car is driving great with no problem after Merchants worked on my car.*

Had a 12:00 appt, went on lunch break because its only gonna take 40 min. I got back at 1:17. So, if you want quick, drop off and pickup later or wait until after work.

Obviously they tried to upcharge me like normal. All I needed was new break pads and rotors in the back. They wanted to do all of them plus pipes. I said no and got only what I needed. Still costed a whopping 500 bucks! Waayyyy over priced! Plus they wouldnt even wave the break inspection charge of 40 bucks. Definitely a rip off and should go somewhere else.

First time at Midas and Im very glad I went there. It was only for a state inspection, but we had 2 cars that needed it, and it was a Saturday on the 31st of the month (oops). No one else could take them in due to not having inspectors or not willing to take on another 2 cars before they closed. Midas took both in and finished in less than an hour. Jason at the front desk is great and is clearly focused on customer service! He definitely did me a big favor getting those inspections in today and Ill definitely be coming back for other car issues!

Awful experience, I walked in expecting guidance and good service, smiling and happy even though my tire went flat in front of the midas..a sign I thought. Wrong, the teller wasnt friendly and treated me as if I were a co-worker as apposed to offering any real guidance. Oh and the very large lump of adipose tissue camped out front of the establishment didnt help either, he was rude and threatening.#really Midas Really?Have a good day

In case you don’t remember, a raccoon decided to play Frogger on 95 when we hit it with our little green Ford Taurus and it killed our radiator. I know you knew that we were trying to make it back home to Florida, but I’m not sure if you knew why we were travelling in the first place. Can I tell you a little about our trip?A week before our untimely meeting with the raccoon, we were at home, asleep, when we got a shocking and quite terrible phone call. One of my cousins had suddenly died in the middle of the night. She was only 25 years old, leaving behind two very small children. We were devastated. My mom, little brother and sister and I loaded up the car as fast as we could to travel all the way to New Hampshire, to be with our family and attend the funeral. Dad, unfortunately, had to stay home. He’s got some health issues of his own and shouldn’t travel in a car for that long.So we began the long trek up north. It’s only supposed to take 24 hours to drive from our house in Florida to my aunt’s doorstep in New Hampshire. But, we wound up taking a wrong turn somewhere along the way and 24 hours turned into 43 hours. It was ridiculous. When we finally got there, we began making funeral arrangements. My mother, sister, and I all work, and we were only allotted so many days for this trip. So as much as we were trying to grieve and as much as we wanted to stay and help as long as possible, we needed the funeral to happen as soon as possible, so we could travel back home. Well one thing led to another, and we were not able to stay for the funeral. The funeral home kept pushing it back further because of one thing or another and my family just couldn’t stay. We were all devastated and angry and upset.So, on Friday, August 1st, we started the long trip back home. And we were making great time, until that dang raccoon appeared and, well, you know the story from there. You see, by the time we got to you, we had had enough. We were all on the verge of having a breakdown, because we just couldn’t take anymore.I am a Christian, and I am a strong believe that my God is always watching out for me. He knew all of this was going to happen; that we would get that terrible call, about our ridiculous drive up to NH, that we wouldn’t be able to stay for the funeral, and about that dang raccoon. He knew we would be stuck in Colonial Heights, Virginia, with just enough gas money to get home, and no car to do so in, and nowhere to stay for the night, should we need to. I believe that God put you and your team at MIDAS there when we needed you.So, with all of that being said, I am writing this to tell you thank you. Thank you and your team for doing absolutely everything you could to try and fix our car. Thank you for hooking us up with Enterprise so we could get a rental car to drive home (and let me tell you, that car was one sweet ride!). Thank you for taking care of getting our car to a junk yard for us. And thank you for just being so kind to us.
