I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN FOR ANYONE OR THEIR FAMILY!!! Nothing in his office is confidential, he will share private session information with others without your constant. He is always on his iPad researching mental health and is not open minded to other opinions or views on the world. After seeing him, I do not feel any better and I feel betrayed at a person with more damage done to me. Please do not waste your time here. I wish I could give him no stars.

I’ve never left a review for anything before but I had to for this. I remember reading the reviews beforehand thinking it would be a waste of time considering some low reviews also the fact I didn’t think counseling could even help me see another perspective. I was wrong and am very happy with my decision on attending and plan on continuing.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! READ THIS! This was the biggest waste of time. He asked a few questions but did not seem very interested in the problem, I felt some of the feelings of anxiety were manipulated to make it worse, he was on the iPad looking up psychiatrist’s instead of paying attention to the needs at hand. Upon leaving we felt nothing was accomplished. In fact we felt more depleted! He mentioned a little before 5 that “someone has to use his office, so if we weren’t done we could wrap things up in the conference room.” In the conference room he never sat down he stood there with his things in ready to head out. If in paying for a counselor I want their attention and want good sound counsel. This was not the place!! He was not compassionate, empathetic or concerned if anything his mind was elsewhere and not on the patient at hand. I personally do not and will not recommend him to anyone. I am not trying to bring his practice down, but am being totally honest in my own experience. If I could give “0” stars I would.

David Wells seemed to mean well but simply didnt have any ideas on what to do. He kept pausing in the meetings trying to think of suggestions but never had anything helpful, advising really basic things that I already did, like taking notes when I read or keeping good hygiene. After five sessions there was still no direction and no plan on what therapies or tools to practice. A good counselor should help you define goals for therapy and will make a plan for meetings with evidence based therapies (CBT, DBT, IFS, NARM, etc.) instead of just trying to think of advice on the spot every meeting. There may be others here who would can help, so if you do decide to give this a try ask which of the people would be the best fit for you and ask them if theyre experienced in the things you need help with.
