I recently had the pleasure of meeting David Weaver with David’s Jewelry and Coin Exchange. I was in need of some jewelry appraisals for my father in law. My mother in law recently died and he wanted to give his grandchildren (and great grandchildren) her jewelry. In order to be fair in the dispersion of her jewelry he asked me to have her items appraised. David was professional, polite and very pleasant to work with. We recently acquired a beautiful loose diamond to replace a lost original in my engagement ring. We happened upon Davids and walked in without an appointment to discuss setting the stone. From this initial meeting, to returning with the diamond, to picking up the finished solitaire set in 18k yellow gold with platinum prongs, the experience was top notch. We subsequently returned once more for a simple size adjustment of the band.I especially want to commend Jaime for his excellent customer service. He knows his business very well and makes each customer feel as though they are his only concern, even with a line of others waiting. He is courteous, friendly, and genuinely interested in the individual need. Cannot say enough good things about David. My family and I were renting a house from him about 10 years ago. During our stay there, I was diagnosed with cancer. Times were tough, money was tight. It would have been so easy for David to evict us. After all, we barely knew each other and business is business, right?That is not what happened. The man went above and beyond for us. He started showing up on a regular basis on his tractor to cut the grass. As times got harder for us, he started lowering the rent to help us out. One night he even showed up unexpectedly to bring us dinner.Years later, I am cancer free. When you are at your worst, feeling helpless, sidelined with chemo and radiation treatments, not knowing what the outcome will be...you remember those who were kind to you when they did not have to be. David is one of the good ones. I took my wifes wedding ring in to have a small corner diamond replaced, along with another band that goes with her set to have it cleaned. Got both back a couple of days later, the wedding ring had the new diamond set in much lower than the rest and the side that it is on was filed down for some reason, visibly noticeable to the naked eye. The band that was only there to be cleaned was returned with two of the diamonds sunk down into the ring, keep in mind it was only there to be cleaned. We called to let them know and they told us to bring them in and that they would make it right. One day later they called and said they were ready to be picked up. When they were picked up all they had done was added a small glob of gold in attempt to correct the damage they had done and they didnt even take the time to smooth it out. The band that had the two diamonds damaged had no repair even attempted. After damaging the rings the best that was offered to make it right was $200. I paid $108 to have the ring “fixed” so apparently it was thought $92 was enough to cover the damages they did.These rings were purchased approximately three years prior at this very place when things were extremely tight financially. We had to trade in my wifes engagement ring and quite a few of my own personal items from my coin collection, along with cash just to get them. These rings were very beloved by my wife and it emotionally wrecked her to have them returned not only once, but twice in a worse condition than when we brought it in to be fixed. To her they are ruined and she doesn’t even want to wear them anymore. Honestly, I don’t blame her. If something is very important to you, you will always notice even the smallest things even when others would not.To add another layer to this whole ordeal, today (only a few hours before as I write this) my wife says that her diamond has fallen out again. We get to looking at it and I couldn’t even make this up. The diamond that fell out isn’t even the side we originally took in to have repaired. What in the world are the odds that she now has lost another diamond after we had to take it in to have fixed there, twice? Seems strange to me.In conclusion, I personally will not be repeating any form of business here again. Doesn’t mean that anyone else shouldn’t, however if repeated, my personal experiences are not one that would be desired.

The new location is very fitting for a great business! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help when it comes to purchasing precious metals. Ive made many purchases through them and I am always glad to help support a local business. They make College Station great!

I am only leaving four stars because I am being picky but I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I got my Aggie ring and needed it resized. My options were to take it to Balfour and wait 6 weeks or take it somewhere local and get it within a week. I decided to take it here because the reviews were really great and they said they could get it done within two days. As soon as I walked in everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. They got my size measured and got it back to me within a couple of hours. When I came back to get it, they told me that I should wear it for a few days and make sure I am comfortable with the size and if I had any problems to take it back and they would take care of it for me. After having it back for the evening and comparing it to my roommates, I noticed that it had a faint rose color to it and it started to bother me (I am a little more than a perfectionist so some people probably would not even notice). I called them the next morning and they got it polished and fixed within four hours or so and didnt charge me a thing. There is still a very very light rose tint to it, but its not noticeable (and that means a lot coming from me lol) and it will wear off once I start to wear it more considering I havent been able to wear it for a single full day yet. I loved these guys and how welcoming and considerate they were. They remembered me each time I called and they were so helpful. They got things done quickly and professionally. However, I wish they had noticed the rose tint and fixed it without me noticing and having to give it up for another day. Overall, again, these guys are amazing and would definitely come back to them if I ever needed anything

Absolutely fantastic service. We were warmly met upon entering the establishment and, to be honest, were treated with more respect than we deserved. My wife had an object, which needed repair, and the staff inspected the object, provided their opinions, gave us options, and completed the work - all while we waited for a short period. The object has a zero dollar value but, because it has tremendous sentimental value for my wife, they treated it as a priceless heirloom. David repaired a necklace that I recently received as a gift and it was an amazing experience. He was very kind and friendly and had great customer service. David quoted me half the price that other jewelry repair shops quoted and he was able to repair my necklace in a couple of hours! Another store had quoted me two weeks! My FIRST encounter with this business was years ago through an EBAY auction for a piece of jewelry. I couldnt have been happier with my item!!! Communication with David to complete the purchase was a breeze, and my item arrived quickly, exactly as described and in excellent condition.Since that initial transaction, there have been many others. I have purchased estate sterling pieces from him to give as gifts, sent him my jewelry to repair ( watches and earrings) and even sent odd pieces for him to appraise . On one occasion, I was able to get some cash for some old gold and sterling that were either mismatched or just no longer wanted.His customer service is unparalleled and he is the most trustworthy jeweler I have ever known.All of this has been long distance as I live about ten miles outside of Washington, D.C. These folks were great. They were my 6th and last stop of the day searching for a particular necklace. No other place had one for me to look at. Davids had two to chose from. Their prices for each wren both more than fair and the customer service was very good. I cant say enough nice things about them. I will definitely be back.

First, let me start by saying the staff is very friendly and personable. David and his employee’s were attentive, and their precautions for COVID are excellent (providing hand sanitizer and lysol at the door). Their facility is well secured, so I felt very comfortable leaving my rings with them. I went up a size and a half in my wedding set and rhodium plated. It was very inexpensive and well done, not to mention, it took no time at all. I dropped the set off around 1:30pm and received a call at 5pm the same day letting me know they were ready to be picked up. Very pleased with their service and will be going back for future needs. David and his staff have my highest recommendation.

Had several coins from my Dads collection he started many years ago. Inquired at Davids for some help in the uncharted waters of coins and collectables and gold coins. David and his staff were extremely helpful in getting me through the process. I just came over to buy some silver coins from David’s jewelry and what I found was the best prices and service I’ve ever received at any store more or less a coin and gold store. The gentleman there were top rated service guys and treated me like a king after I had bought a few coins They were kind enough to take my ring that they noticed it was broken and fix it for me and did not charge me this is what I call all-time great service! They did such a great job!! I needed my wedding ring sized and called around for prices. One place told me it couldnt be done because of the size I needed it (it was only two sizes smaller) and another place told me that it would be $100 dollars and would take a week. And these are big name places I called!! Finally I came across these guys. I dropped the ring off Friday at lunch and picked it up on Monday. Not only is the size perfect.. my ring looks better than the day I got it. They even fixed a loose stone I had. All for 50 bucks. I definitely recommend them and will be using them for all my jewelry needs in the future! Thanks guys!!

Davids Jewelry & Coin Exchange was phenomenal to work with. I walked in about 10am, my rings were looked at and I was told that my rings might be ready the same day. I had two rings to be appraised, one of which needed to be sized. I was able to take one ring with me after everything was weighed and recorded. I got a call at 4:30 to pick my other ring up in about an hour. The prices were extremely reasonable and beat other prices in town. The turn around on having my rings appraised AND sized was extremely fast. I will be doing business with them again. David understood how precious my rings were to me, talked to me for a while, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful!

Dropped a ring off at 11:45 on a Saturday and had a call by 1:30 the same day that it had been resized. Wow! The last time I had a ring repaired, I used a different jeweler bc David’s was closed. It took a month to get it back. Definitely my go-to place for any jewelry repair and resizing will be David’s. The only negative is they have so much good looking jewelry for sale that I’m tempted to shop!

Best Jeweler in BCS...no doubt. Ive visited Davids for jewelry repair and purchasing my fiancés wedding band. Each time Ive been has been an exceptional experience and the staff is very hospitable.
