Was in town and decided to swing by for a trim. Hours posted on the door said they were open till 6pm. I walked in at 5:44 and a nice young lady told me to sign in but a tatted guy said nope we are done.Either you are open to 6 or your not.This place had the best haircuts and service while I was in CS from 2009-2013.Disappointed this is no longer the case.

I was told Sonia and Jesus are great stylists for mens fades. Unfortunately I neglected to make appointments with them so I got a newer worker. The cut wasnt bad and it was inexpensive. Come with cash they do not take cards.

If you want a Corps cut theyll do fine. Anything else is going to depend on the barber. You may get a good cut, you may irritate the barber and get a rushed job. Depends on your luck that day.

All the cuts were always nice and well done.Oh and just a reminder - they dont take cards. Make sure to have cash on you.Id recommend it if youre in the area and need a good cut.

Took my two boys (6 & 10) for walk in cuts. Both got great styles and they loved them. Nice environment and friendly staff.

The fade I wanted was perfect. I went to this place knowing a couple guys who always had great haircuts from here.

Got my hair cut and beard trimmed there was no wait and got done in a very timely manner. Only reason I am only giving 4 stars is because they dont take credit cards it is 2018 how do you not take a credit card? I owned a business I understand it costs money to take cards but I think that is the cost of doing business. If that means you have to raise the price I can understand that you can even give a cash discount.

Had an excellent experience. My hair looks great and Brittany the girl who cut my hair was sweet and kind and very fast. She did a great job and I am very happy with my new haircut. Also, the haircut was only $14. Cant beat that. I will definitely go back, and I recommend you check it out too!

Went in and asked for a low skin fade, nothing too complicated.. came out with a near high and tight. Not only was it faded up to the top of my head but when asked didnt I ask for a low fade they said yep that is a low so I am skeptical if they know what anything but a high/high and tight Corps looking haircut is... Okay, cool thanks. Although it was not anything near what I asked for, it was a really good fade cut. So if you want a bootcamp style haircut and to look like John Cena then this is the place and you wont leave disappointed.

It was a great experience.Itd been a long time since Id been to a barber shop but they were extremely patience with helping me figure out what kind of cut I wanted. They even helped me decided how low I wanted each part of the cut to be, down to half millimeter decrement. I was worried because the last time I went to a barber for a fade, they totally mangled it. The cut Jessica De La Cruz gave me was amazing, and well worth the money.I highly recommend it, especially if youre African American/Black and having a hard time finding a barber that can cut your hair well.

Went here today looking to establish my go-to barber and left underwhelmed. Partly my fault for not walking out as soon as I walked in. I want a male barber who specializes in cutting mens hair, but I sat down in Ashleys seat anyway since she was the one to welcome me as I walked in the door. Since I ended up putting a finishing touch using my own clippers when I got home Id say the cut was not satisfactory. Id give them another shot, but Ill request a male barber next time. Even if I have to make an appointment.

I have tried all the barbers and nearly all the hair salons in town for my three boys, but they all fell short....until TRISH!She is AWESOME, very detailed, patient with kids (mine are all under 8) and experienced! If you are looking for a true senior corp military haircut like I was, this is the place to go!

Best haircut Ive ever had. No uncut hairs, no mistakes, extremely smooth fade.Old-fashioned feel, no credit cards, good people, Corps of Cadets all come here. I like that they used compressed air to blow off all the cut hairs so I leave the place with a clean head, rather than shedding clippings until my next shower. Ill miss this place when I graduate.

Ive been getting my haircuts here ever since it opened a while back as a second location of the old Northgate Barbershop. Ive never had a bad experience with them, and its only gotten better since Jennifer took over a few years ago. If youre like me, and really bad at remembering exactly what to ask for, dont worry; theyll work it out with you. And the pricing is pretty fair with anything else youll find in College Station.(Two quick tips: As far as I know, they still dont take credit, but they do have an ATM machine inside. Second, avoid going on a Friday- unless of course you like waiting next to a crowd of Corps guys.)

For years, through Wisconsin Colorado and DFW, I followed coupons in the paper or special daily discount signs because I thought my haircut was so simple that I could go anywhere. After visiting maroon & white and talking personally with the owner about their attention to detail and the measures they take to ensure their service is the highest quality, I will never go anywhere else for a haircut! The value of this haircut is way higher than the $14 price tag. Thank you for doing a great job!

Bottom line up front: they give a good haircut, theyre nice, they dont cost very much.Try getting a better cut at a better price with SportClips. It wont happen! These folks know what theyre doing and are very experienced in giving mens cuts.

Walked in hoping to get a straight-razor shave, which seemed like a reasonable thing for a barber shop to offer. They only had clippers and an electric razor. Also, very unprofessional. Drama had just unfolded between members off the staff and family/friends. As a result, it was the focal point of all conversation in the shop.

I am not sure what sort of drugs the previously reviewer was on but I can assure everyone that this is by far the best barber shop in the area! If you are in the Core or simply just a family needing your kids hair cut, this is by and far the only place in the Bryan College Station area to go! All you have to do is check out their Facebook page to see the quality of the haircuts and attention to customer and community service!I have been getting my hair cut from there for years and I know the owner personally. It takes a lot of hard work to run a successful business and I find it somewhat offensive that someone would post a review like the previous one!As for as the cash only aspect of the business, as a small business owner, not having to pay credit card fees and cover bad checks only makes common sense, as it allows for the owner to keep her prices among the best in town.

I have been going here since February and I never had a problem until today. I went in there and got my usual cut that I get every two weeks. I go to pay and all of a sudden I have to pay $20 instead of the usual $14. I ask why and the lady just points to a piece of paper that shows womens cuts are $20. I dont get a womens cut. All the cut is is buzzing the sides and back and taking an inch off the top which is short to begin with. I was just there two weeks ago and I paid the usual $14. I shouldnt have to pay more for something that is no different then the kind of cut men go in there and get!

The people working here are very humble and they have very good equipment and manual resources that are needed.

I would not recommend this barbershop to a bald man that owns a hat store. The barber I had looked like a thug, but looks can be deceiving... He turned out to be a thrifty conman robbing me of my $14 and confidence in my self image. I asked him to trim me down with a Robert Deniro style look that would still be appropriate for church, but what I got instead was Clint Eastwood with bed head (picture below)! When it came time to pay they told me that they only accepted cash, and I had to use the teller machine in the corner. I have seen enough mob movies to know that cash only businesses are fronts for illegal activities. I will not be going back because I do not support illegal activities!-Mervin
