Do NOT use Melior Maids. They are horrible.A week ago, I used Melior Maids to clean my rental house. With my total dismay, I found they were horrible all around: mismanaged, ill-equipped, ill-trained, ill-informed, with worst attitude, and a way over charged. Here is the list.Mismanaged:Despite the previous agreement with the dispatcher with extra charge, the cleaners refused to clean both the carpets and hardwood floors. Call to the dispatcher to clear the issue never was answered. (She was talking with the cleaners, but not answering when I called a few min. later) The cleaner never stopped complaining and never cleaned 4 out of 5 carpets, and took the money originally agreed.Ill-equipped:They did NOT BRING A VACUUM CLEANER FOR HARD FLOOR. They used blooms!!! Even after I offered MY VACUUM CLEANER, they kept sweeping the hard floor disregarding my instruction saying they were going to vacuum later ( I’m not sure they ever did). If they had mopped (I’m not sure about this either) the floor afterward, they just pasted the dirt onto the floor. After they left I wiped the floor, I could feel I was lifting the dirt.The girl who was scrubbing bathroom with heavy mildew and mold was using GENERAL CLEANING SOLUTION!!! After I pointed she should use stronger cleaner, she finally brought out some spray for mildew. But she was cleaning the bathroom WITHOUT GLOVES.At one time the women were looking for more rugs. I had to GIVE MY RUGS.Ill-trained: Besides they did not know what to use to clean bathroom and clean floor, obviously they have never used wet-carpet cleaner. Also, I had to show the girl how to scrub the tiles too.They were so inefficient that after four hours and when the forewoman was yelling the others that it’s time to go, the bathrooms were still dirty, there were many missed spots: seven never touched window sills, a jam caked refrigerator shelf, one of the five bedrooms was totally missed and ignored, in addition to the dirty floors I mentioned above. (The house is 1,800 sq ft and empty.) The forewomen never went around the house for check if the job was done or not.Ill-informed: They did not know or understand the importance of removal of dust due to lead inspection for old rental houses. I told the foreperson to use TSP to wipe the floor and window sills. Afterword, I ask the other girl who was wiping the window about TSP. She had no idea what I was talking about.Bad Attitude: They were supposed to come between 8:30 and 9 am. They came around 9:20 with no apology. They wasted at least 15 min arguing over the carpet issue. After doing nominal job cleaning the tiles and one carpet, they gave me unsolicited advice of replacing the tile and carpet repeatedly. As mentioned above, it seemed they had no intention of following my instructions although most of them would have taken only a minute such as adding TSP in the water and regarding using vacuum cleaner they would have saved a lot of timeIf you have used Melior Maids before and you were seeing your rental house getting dirtier every year, now you know why. They never cleaned your house. Only pretended. They may have been in business for a while, but they’ve learned nothing about cleaning because they have no intention to learn or do the job.
