Frequent parking lot arguments and disturbance of peace late at night, early into the morning. As of recent, neighbors behave like college tenants more than they have in previous years. Unhygienic. This apartment complex has all outdoor stairs and no elevator - people leave all types of unknown substances on the stairs and the stairs never get pressure washed or cleaned in any way. Its quite gross. This complex is not the place for an adult professional who well beyond college years. Neighbors are inconsiderate with their noise. The property manager, Cheryl, ignores noise complaints and doesnt deal with them properly. The rent is overpriced and the Sage Ventures company will not have compassion for your situation. They increased rent twice (so far) during the pandemic. The location is the best part about this apartment complex, but its near the highway which can be loud at night. The gates are outdated and need to be replaced with gates that close after each car to ensure an actual secure gated community.

I would not recommend this place at all. It has gone downhill. The smell of weed is everywhere. It is hard to find a parking space after 8 pm many nights. The parking lots are also not very well lit at night which makes some of my friends uncomfortable. Additionally, they start ticketing cars that do not have the Wynfield sticker past 10 pm which prevents my friends from staying late. The people in the office are unprofessional and you will have to remind many of them several times to help you with something. The rent is also very expensive for what you are getting and management does raise the rent every time you renew the lease. In the past, the pool has been very unclean. The gates often break down and it can be hard for guests to enter through the guest gate. The apartments are also right next to route 1 and 495 so it is VERY loud. Be prepared to hear loud motorcycles and even drag racing happening, especially at night. No one stays on the maintenance team for long so sometimes their services are great while other times their services are incomplete. I am happy that I have been able to move somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to friends, family, or even complete strangers. Hopefully you are able to find another place to stay that is better.

Very unprofessional staff. I had an emergency in my apartment and was placed on hold. I was on hold for so long that I walked to the leasing office for help, only to find the staff member just sitting there at the desk (with the phone still on hold). The staff is unprofessional from the leasing manager all the way to the maintenance workers. Their communication is rude and they have to be contacted repeatedly to take action when something goes wrong. The walls in my apartment shake when people run up and down the stairs. The walls are thin, in general, and you will hear people outside talking late at night while youre trying to sleep. The fact that there are no elevators is also a down side. Overpriced. You will spend a lot of money for a low value experience. The only positive is the location. My overall experience here has been deplorable.

This community have many amenities that have not been mentioned in their advertisements, the smell of weed is built in every hallway of the buildings, you can enjoy the smell of weed everyday once you open the door. Everyone sitting in the leasing office is professional trained scammer, you better have your phone ready for recording every time you talk to them. Or they will rob you money. They request a 60 days notice before move out. I walk in and talked to the lady sitting in the office, and also sent her an email notice, then three weeks later, the manager told me shes no longer work here, so what I told her doesnt count, I will get charged extra $700 for not notified them I am moving out.

Maintenance is extremely unprofessional and their work is always half done. They clearly don’t like their jobs. I don’t even have the words to do justice to how unprofessional they have been from the way they speak to residents to their very careless work. I don’t see how this property manager hasn’t gotten new maintenance workers by now. The front desk staff seem to lack customer service skills (and common sense) when people call for assistance. I called to report that someone in the gym wasn’t wearing a mask and the response I got from the lady at the front desk was, “Call us back when the person is there so we can enforce the rule.” She didn’t take the time to actually listen to what I was saying and instead of asking reasonable questions, she made an assumption which didn’t even make sense. Obviously I was at the gym with the person not wearing a mask at the moment I called...why else would I be calling!? The property manager is only responsive when the regional manager is also the brought into the mix. I would give zero stars if I could. Also, they need to upgrade their gate. I’m sick of seeing people who don’t live here waiting at the front to piggyback off of residents. Get a gate that is effective and quick to close behind each resident the way it needs to be in a secure gated community.

The only reason many stay here is b/c of the location. Customer service is low quality. Sage Ventures is a money hungry company with questionable practices. No elevator. The stairs are dirty and dont get cleaned on a regular basis. Strange/unknown liquid substances have been on the outside walls and stairs of the building for over one year. Sanitary practices are subpar. The tap water here is not drinkable. Even with a filter, the water tastes gross and has a foul odor. I urge Sage Ventures to do testing on the water quality ASAP. The gate that makes Wynfield Parks a secure community is low quality. Convenience of location is the only pro.

I lived at Wynfield Park for 4 years and very recently moved. I loved almost everything about this community. The facilities are nice, upkeep is nice, and staff is helpful. Cheryl, the leasing office manager, is a true gem and always went above and beyond to help me whenever needed. The other office staff were pretty reliable as well. They were always welcoming in the office and willing help. The maintenance staff Mr. Wayne was also someone who made my experience here a beautiful one, anytime I needed anything, he took care of it. Since around October of 2019, I had very obnoxious upstairs neighbors who walked/stomped constantly which is essentially the only reason I moved from the complex. Aside from the noise easily carrying in the structure of the apartments, I loved Wynfield and would recommend to anyone!

I wanted to give a HUGE KUDOS on the leasing team, specifically, Chris Buck at the Wynfield Apartments located in College Park, MD. From day one Chris was patient, professional, funny, customer service superb and welcoming to all my questions and concerns. Trust me when I say I “nagged” Chris with tons of questions but he was always calm and patient. When I contacted Wynfield, I extremely frustrated after dealing with the unprofessionalism and disorganization of my current residency leasing office team. I began browsing/searching apartments in the local area. The first one I came across was Wynfield Apartments. I called left a message for leasing information and Mr. Buck called me back almost immediately. He was professional from the start and very knowledgeable of the property. After that everything went quickly and smooth sailing different from what I had just experienced in the past. I spoke to Diamond, the other leasing specialist when Chris was out of the office and she was always very courteous, very knowledgeable and super nice. The property manager was also very warm, professional and welcoming!!!! Good customer as described above is VERY hard to find these days!!!! On top of all of that the community itself is gorgeous, loved it from my first community tour!!!!

I have been a resident at Wynfield park for a short time AND I LOVE IT HERE so far. Friendly accommodating office personnel who want to make life easy living here. Ms. Diamond who has been on it on everything. From my punch items, to helping me find a cable provider, to assisting me on how to use my AMAZON mail order box. So far this is a great place to live, for me. Then I am excited about my apartment home with the awesome renovations. Im hoping it stays this way or get better. It really makes it easy to pay rent when its this good.

Pros: Renovated apartments, centralized location, quiet neighbors, grounds are well maintained, no pests, and nice amenities.Cons: Maintenance here is a joke. Maintenance fixes things halfway so you have to continue to submit requests until the problem is actually fixed. It’s not worth the headache. Look elsewhere unless you enjoy 495 noise pollution, overpriced apartments with small bedrooms, limited parking spaces after 5pm, poorly lit parking lots at night, and having to submit multiple maintenance requests over and over for the same issue. Also the management company is sneaky, when I initially looked at the apartment, they attempted to raise the price hours later because of high demand.

I have lived in different apartments for over 20 years and I have to say this have been one of my best experiences thus far. I would like to start with the staff. Everyone have been pleasant and helpful but Diamond has been our primary contact person from the beginning until now. Diamond was very pleasant and VERY patient with me and my fiance. To start, she helped to find us a location on the complex that suited our needs. Since the complex is right off of a busy intersection, the area tends to be loud with traffic. The traffic is not too bad at night but I have to work at night during some weeks. Diamond helped to find us a location on the complex that was quiet during the day and night, which I really appreciate it. Diamond always responded in a timely fashion to any issues that we had with the apartment and she made sure that our concerns were addressed up to our satisfaction. The apartment and the grounds stay fairly clean. NO BUGS OR RODENTS!!!! They make sure that the apartments are free from any critters which helped me to feel more comfortable in my home.It appears to be fairly safe in the complex. I see people out walking their dogs all hours of the night (men and women) and no one bothers them and there are times that I have to come in late to my apartment and I dont feel threatened or scared. Its a convient location to everything and the apartments are a nice size with full size washer dryer as well as a fireplace.I am getting ready to purchase my first home and I am sad that I didnt find this place years ago. Its definitely a nice place to live.

This is the BEST property I have ever resided. If I didn’t buy my own home, I’d still be living at Wynfield Park. The location of the property and the layout of my apartment was EVERYTHING! It was perfect- I could get anywhere (ie family and friends, work, DC, Baltimore, etc.) within 30 minutes. My apartment was HUGE and had every amenity I could think of- washer & dryer, fireplace, big balcony, his & hers sink in bathroom, etc. Chris, our leasing agent, was phenomenal from the first interaction well into my stay. He was very informative and responsive during the application process. When I signed my lease his attention to detail was much appreciated. He made sure my new home was spotless prior move-in. After I moved Chris checked in on me and my family. He treated me like long lost family. A few other perks that I enjoyed included the pool and grill areas, valet trash, as well as, the Hub (package pick-up). I encourage anyone reading this to make this your first choice if looking for a new home!

The Wynfield Park Apartments property in College Park, MD has gone down hill since the former property manager, Ed, left. While many property managers either kept rent the same or even lowered the rent during this pandemic, Wynfield Park Apartments decided to raise their rent (by a HIGHER PERCENTAGE than last year) as if we’re not in a global health and financial crisis. It takes multiple complaints for the property manager to be responsive and take action. The service I’ve received from the maintenance workers has been very unprofessional. A maintenance worker once asked me if he could use my kitchen knife to tighten something on the toilet. How gross. Use your maintenance tools. They have also been negligent and careless with their work. The front desk workers are hit or miss but they tend to give me the run around instead of directly addressing the issue at hand. They are notorious for saying something cannot be done when it can - they simply choose not to accommodate the residents request. This is supposed to be a gated community but non-residents piggyback on a regular basis because Wynfield Park Apartments hasn’t deemed it necessary to get an appropriate gate that actually closes behind each car the way most gated communities operate. I’ve increasingly seen trash around the complex and there has been an influx of people gathering in the parking lot to hang out late at night/early into the morning talking loudly. Lastly, the walls are thin and unless you have considerate neighbors, you will be SOL. I wouldn’t recommend Wynfield Park. Keep looking.

I lived in WP from 2010 to 2014. I know the management team probably have changed, but WP was a great place to call home for me during that time. The apartment was very spacious, and the leasing office staff were always very friendly. Maintenance was mostly on point, I didn’t have any issues with them over 4 years period of time. The apartment complex was always kept nice and clean, when they returned my security deposit after I finished my lease, they even returned the interest with it, it was very impressive. When I just had a very bad experience with my current apartment complex with leaking roof that they couldn’t fix and refuse to reimburse my rent, I do miss the years in Wyfield park. I didn’t know how good it was until I have someone to compare with.

There was a water leak and Diamond Harris contacted maintenance before I arrived, and everything was fixed by the time I was done moving in. Diamond is always joyful and very responsive. She answers most emails in less than 2 hours.PS: Choose an apartment on the first or second floor if you can. Bringing back a lot of groceries becomes less fun when you have to take more than 1 flight of stairs.

More importantly, Ms. Cheryl, the residential manager do not play, she’s a hands on type of person and no non-sense. She will handle all concerns effective immediately. I have lived at Wynfield for over a year now and can finally write my honest and informed review. Wynfield is honestly a great place to live. The apartments are exactly like what you see online, if not better. My roommate and I live in one of the renovated apartments, and the updates are wonderful. One of the best parts of Wynfield is not only their updated and great selection of amenities, it’s the staff particularly Chris Buck. Chris Buck has been with my roommate and I every step of the way. Chris has really been an awesome face of Sage. No matter how small or large the issue, Chris always finds a way to help us. He always provides us with timely information and has even gotten us to sign up for all Wynfield’s amenities (carport, storage, and garage). I am honestly thankful for Chris for being there for us especially during our frustrating moving process. No place is perfect, and we have had our hiccups along the way but nothing that would take away from the joy of living here. The property is always well kept, and I enjoy walking my dog in the warmer months around the community seeing all the beautiful flowers and trees. For the most part, most of the staff is friendly and always has a smile. The maintenance staff has also been a pleasure to work with. Wayne is always our go to guy, and my dog’s favorite staff member. There is no issue Wayne cannot fix. As stated before, no place is perfect and there are small issues that do arise here and there (trash pickup). From my experience whenever I call the leasing office to address these issues, I am always provided an update or resolution. In summation, I love living here and am glad we renewed our lease!

I have lived here for about a year and a half and have usually had pleasant experiences with most everyone that I speak with that work here. Today I unfortunately have had the most unpleasant experience! I will start off with letting you know that I am a supervisor at where I work and have had my fair share of not so pleasant experiences but typically am able to de escalate most situations and also am aware of what proper customer service looks like. Today after speaking with a leasing person named Diamond I am extremely upset with how my issues have been handled! I only needed answers to some of my concerns regarding the trash pick up. I’ve had trash that has been sitting outside of my apartment for over a week I did my part as I’m supposed to of putting my trash inside of a trash bag but unfortunately whomever may have picked up the trash ripped the bag and the one heavy content that was inside bag has been sitting there all week. I personally did not feel like I am responsible for something that another person may have accidentally done (of course this is my opinion and how I view it) and as I also mentioned the content of the bag was extremely heavy I am currently pregnant and I’m not able to continuously pick up heavy items. I feel as if she did not understand what my concerns were or what I was explaining to her and i was told that it seems like I’m making a bigger deal of it than it supposed to be how hard is it just for me to put it inside of a bag. After trying to explain that I feel like I already did my part and as I am paying for the service I would expect for it to be done properly. She then proceeded to raise her voice at me telling me that I need to learn to have more compassion in the middle of a pandemic that these people work hard and their job is difficult. She even went as far to belittle my concern by commenting that I really had her on the phone for six minutes over a trash bag.At that point I let her know that her responses were completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I felt as it is not her place to tell me how to feel during a pandemic if she does not know personally what others may be going through. I then asked for my information to be passed over to the manager if she was not able to help me. She offered me an email address and I simply requested no that I want my information to be passed over since I have already called in the past about it and never received a call back. She then asked for my apartment number and she miss heard me and started accusing me of being an illegal resident she raised her voice at me I kept asking her to take a moment to listen to me she kept speaking over me and continued to multiple times accuse me of being in illegal resident. After multiple attempts to try to get her attention to correct the number that she heard she did not stop to listen so I then told her I would go inside if I have to. She accused me of threatening her when I simply told her no if you’re not going to listen then I will need to go in person so that she can hear me better because she kept raising her voice and was not listening. I then told her I did not want to be arguing with anyone on the phone and all I was asking for at that point was for my information to be passed over to the manager so I can get a callback. After making that request several times she then asked me for my apartment number again I gave it to her and she simply hung up.As I mentioned before I am a supervisor at where I work and I know that arguing with a client is something you never do! if for any reason you are not able to fix the situation and are not the manager, all you need to do is simply say im sorry I cannot further help you I will give your information to someone else that can. If this is how this person acts normally she unfortunately is going to give this company a bad name. I have never have someone raise there voice at me and completely be disrespectful the way Diamond was today. It’s extremely sad to see that people like this have been hired to be part of the face of this company..

I have thoroughly enjoyed my 3 years living in these apartment homes! Chris, in the leasing office is always super friendly and very helpful he has made life easier living here! He makes sure work orders are promptly taken care of and packages are distributed when they arrive. His customer service is impeccable. There have been many unpleasant changes Since the new management company has taken over hints the 4stars instead of 5! The rent increase is way to high for these apartments. They’re more worried about making new renovations and making us pay for it, rather than keeping quality residents. The turn over rate is about to be out of control. Out of all my years living here I have never had an increase as high as this year. Wynfield is about to go from full occupancy to so many vacancies if they keep this up! Their first priority should be to satisfy the residents they already have! The grills by the pool have been broken since last summer leaving us with only 2 grills which are now covered because apparently they’re not working either. The new management is hard to get in touch with and they have changed water companies making my water bill double. The old maintenance team was great but have all quit since new management. I haven’t needed the new maintenance team for anything yet but they don’t seem so bad. The best thing they have going is Chris and they better hope they don’t loose him! Management needs to get it together. Overall the apartments are nice, neighbors are cool and I have never had any pest issues which was important to me cause I don’t do bugs or rodents!

I have lived at WP for just over two years, and I strongly agree with previous reviewers that the quality of service has catapulted downward in that time. We are required to pay a small fortune for amenities and features like the security gate, valet trash, and emergency maintenance. WP/Sage Ventures consistently under-delivers and offers no reimbursement on monthly rent when the gate isnt functional for 9 days or when your AC unit is broken for 48+ hours, as is my current position.I contacted the emergency maintenance number listed on the resident portal and left a voicemail on Friday, but no one returned my call. Then, called and visited the onsite office on Saturday, and they left another voicemail. No return call or visit to repair my AC unit. After calling corporate and the onsite office again today (Monday), I have finally received confirmation that someone will come by to repair the unit, and have been now been given three different emergency maintenance numbers. Tangentially, the office fails to effectively communicate with the community to update information like rent payment methods, contact numbers, etc.Financial statements issued by the office on renewal of lease documents have been calculated incorrectly two out of two times (I should not have to sit down with my own calculator and calculate prorated rent for the leasing office and constantly defend what I should owe via basic math) and other residents continue to break their leases by leaving trays of food in the bushes and parking lot for stray animals (cats, rodents, raccoons, etc) that live in and around the rear park area, irritating the pets that live in the community and drawing more rodents to the wildly overflowing trash in the dumpsters. Complaints in this regard have been met with resistance and inaction over the past year and two months.I am consistently disappointed by the sheer incompetence of this office and management company. If you can afford to live anywhere else in the area, avoid WP. Dont waste your money here.

Is this normal or a scam? I called this apartment complex on Friday and had a price for one and two bedrooms. Price was reasonable and same as they put on their website. I drove from NJ to all the way to MD on Saturday, then, the guy, Chris, said all price went up due to high demand up to 300 bucks for two bedrooms. It should be the first come first serve just like other places.

They held onto our deposit for about 6 months. We moved in July of 2019, and got our deposit back January 2020, and that was after I kept calling them since asking them for it. It was soooo annoying. No one could tell me anything and they kept telling me to call back. It was odd. But finally we got our little $200 back.Additionally when we signed our lease we were told that the lease would be 11 months at a specific rate. We have email documentation of them saying it would be 11 months. I guess we didnt realize that they changed it to 12 months last minute. We realized when we were gearing up to move out that the lease wasnt ending until the month after. When we put in our 60 day notice (in which we actually notified them about 90 days before), they tried to tell us that we never notified them and that we would have to stay until September. We were able to rectify it but again this took me emailing and emailing and then eventually having to just go talk to them in person. The staff was respectful in person. Never had any real issues with them. Packages were received with no error. Maintenance men were actually really good! They were extremely quick and responsive and just overall nice and friendly. The security gate was broken every other week. Part of the reason we picked this location was because we wanted a gated community. So if the gate is broken most the time, kind of defeats the purpose. We didnt have a renovated apartment which was fine because apartment was in pretty good condition. Definitely much bigger than apartments around. The price was ok. Felt like it could have been cheaper for an older apartment. No rodants, no bugs. Nice walk in closets. Big kitchen, living room/ dinning room combo. I liked having valet trash but when it snowed they didnt come. Some residents would just put trash out whenever which was annoying AF.Id suggest this apartment if you are ok with going back and forth with the front office about a lot of stuff.

Good:Decent price for area and quality of apartments, and they offer specialsSpacious, new apartments. Some have fireplaces.Gated community, great if you have a nicer car in College ParkMost residents are nice, quiet, mostly working professionalsMaintenance usually responds quickNice balconies, great poolOption to get garage or covered parkingRight around the corner from 495 (saves lots of time)Overall, staff is goodSome guest parking up frontClose to DCBad:Walls are thin. Usually its fine unless you have an annoying loud neighbor (like the people who moved in next to me).Trash & recycling used to be a problem (people would throw it everywhere around the bin, except in the actual trash receptacle). They seem to have added extra recycling bins to help with the problem.I have lived here for 2 years now. If I was staying in College Park, I would most likely renew. The apartments are much nicer than the older buildings in college park (seven springs, etc). The community is only a few years old. It is also significantly cheaper than living across the street next to Ikea.

This is the apartment complex I am recommend. First of all here is very safe, sometime the gate can be a little bit annoying, but I can deal with it. Secondly the stuff here are super nice, if anything goes wrong in your apartment they will fix them in one day or two. The location in here is very conscience, you may walk to Ikea, chipotle, buffalo wings and Dunkin’ Donuts. You also can drive to shoppers, busy buy, Home Depot and Costco within 10 minuets. Here also a state park locates right near to the complex.

We living in Wynfield park almost 4 years this place is safe the stuff is friendly and always there to help. I want to say I have lived in different states and everywhere is different some places ofer some utilities included and some not but its worst to stop by and ask all the questions. I wanna say about price change this is something that realstate rules are and has nothing to do with the office. Im enjoying to be in my home and feel safe. If you need maintenance they will be there shortly to help you with anything. Thank you

They do a bait & switch. Theyll advertise on their website one price range but thats just to get you in the door to fall in love with their apartments, which, admittedly, are very pretty. If you dont mind spending probably $200 more than you think youre going to spend, this may be the place for you. Also they charge $40/month extra for water & trash which most apartments include. The spiel I got was basically prices change daily and although we work here and run the place, we have no idea what anything costs but you can go on the waitlist if you pay a $40 application fee and $350 amenity fee.Note that you must pay the amenity fee even if you do not live there and are not using any amenities. And you still cannot lock in on a price because prices change every day and we dont know what theyll be (they kept repeating that like a broken record) so you wont know how much the rent will be up front.Of course, you have the option while on the waitlist (and them holding your $390 total) to pass up units as they become available if they are not in an acceptable price range, but then you will be waiting forever because they never intended to rent a unit for the lowest range listed on their website afterall. The bait & switch is really a shame because its a new complex that seemed very pretty but management is so shady I wouldnt trust living there. I could see hidden fees and costs surfacing throughout the duration of living there and especially upon moving out.
