I can confidently take my curly hair to any of the three barbers, and know Ill come out with a cut that Im happy with. Definitely call for an appointment if you want a specific time (avoid Tuesdays after school), and allow for a few minutes even then. After all, why would you trust your hair to a shop where you can just walk in and sit in a chair because it doesnt have any customers?

This was my first experience at Joes and I was very impressed. Joe took his time and got me feeling fresh as lettuce! Great rates, good people, and a clean place will keep me going back.

Made an appointment for 3:15 pm. I walked in at 3:05 and told them I was there for 3:15 appointment. Yes they were busy but after watching four people walk in after me and get served, I got up and left at 3:50 without anybody saying a word to me.

Small town barbers that do a great quality job. Relax in their homely lounge style barbershop, expect good conversations with the barbers because they are all awesome and very down to earth.I wouldn’t go anywhere else but Joe’s!

Been going here on and off since I was 10, 20 years later I still cant find anyone who; knows my hair better, and is an all around good guy like Joe. Do not go here if you want to be in and out in 10 minutes. This is a place where they take pride in their work and it shows.

The staff was not friendly at all. I felt as though I walked in on a clique.The lounge itself deserves a 4 star, really nice.And I got a 1 star haircut. Barber was doing great then 3/4 through he said all done. Later my wife said “you have uneven hair and one side is closer than the other”.

This is the best Barber Shop in the state! They are amazing with all hair types! They are amazing with fades, flat tops and any kind of mens cut! They are kind and very professional. There is a wait often times but it is well worth it!

Have been searching for a place to get a cut in colchester and after a few hard fails Ive found the spot! The young lady who cut my hair was pleasant and fantastic and listened to me and this is honestly the best cut Ive ever had! Called ahead and had zero wait. The place was comfortable and had a fun steam punk old timey vibe. 10/10 will go again!

Spent too much time on setting up the decor, cut came out good but when I asked for skin tight and they don’t do razor finish even a Bic for a military cut and charge $26? That very steep even for “quality”, barbers are very nice guys but for that price I’ll be driving to my old barber.

Really great expect a wait if your waiting on Joe especially on weekends.But it is worth it I have been to three other barbers and I was really not happy with their work but Joe Im definitely coming back to time and time again !!!

I got into the bad habit of going to great clips in college and just got used to crummy hair cuts due to convenience. I have been searching for a place to get a good quality haircut for the past year and finally found it here. The barber did a fantastic job and the product put on your neck smells really good as well. Even my pets approve of it and cant get enough of it which is odd, but it is a great smell.Heads up though, as it is cash or check only payment so be aware of that. There is an ATM next door in the Noels Market.

Great hair cut for my son in a relaxing and humorous atmosphere.

First and last time here. Slowest cut Ive ever gotten. About 30 minutes for a fade and facial hair trimmed. Nothing special about the cut really, but was done correctly only reason I can give more than 1 star. Also the $41 dollar price tag is unreal.

Great hair cuts, only usually a wait during peak hours (Understandable). But the service and friendliness of the staff are well worth it.

A little longer wait, cash only, but call ahead and the wait isn’t a problem. All of the employees are phenomenal and meticulous barbers.

Friendly barbers and cool old school feel, but a “fade” doesn’t mean “shave 95% of the side of my head”. On the bright side, the high and tight I accidentally received gave my coworkers a good laugh at least.

Typically a long wait and pretty mediocre hair cuts for the price. On par with what you would expect from places like Cost Cutters or Sport Clips. The owner and his son typically do an ok job, but the new woman they hired really struggles with mens cuts, would avoid her at all costs.Also, it’s really frustrating that the business is cash only. It’s 2018, there should be a way to pay by credit card.
