We came just for dinner in early September and were the only ones there. We had been in Cody for a few days and the food here was the best we had compared to anywhere nearby! Waitress was very nice and the chef came out to make sure everything was good. Amazing location as well, we even had mule deer walking by as we ate. We will absolutely look into booking a long stay here in the future!!

We had dinner here this afternoon and it was great! Nice warm fire and very friendly and attentive staff. The food was amazing! Best fish Ive had in a long time! And the jack Daniels bread pudding is a must!!

The food and company of Executives Chef Charles Gibert and Chef Jesse is amazing. My friend and I couldnt get enough. If you can stop by for a bite, I would highly recommend it. Great food, beautiful scenery, and awesome people. You cant go wrong

UXU RANCH WAPITI REVIEWWe stopped there on our way to Yellowstone and were lucky enough to get a horse riding tour immediately. So we paid for a 2-hour ride and eventually it lasted almost 3 hours, which was great ! We were a family of 3 (beginners) and an experienced cowboy and a very calm cowgirl chose the best horses for us and came with us to show us the way ! And what a great path to the top of the surrounding hills, and well tamed horses. Everything went smoothly, the ballad was truly glorious. An everlasting memory for the 3 of us ! Thanks so much to all people at Uxu Ranch !

This place was awesome! I was terrified to ride a horse, but they chose a really calm, well-mannered, sweet girl for me to learn on. It was one of the best experiences of my life!

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! Amazing staff, beautiful scenery, peaceful, and majestic!!! The horses and wranglers were absolutely wonderful!! We had experienced and inexperienced riders and first time very young riders and the wranglers were very accomodating and took extra time and precautions with our children and the inexperienced. The horses were very well trained and made the ride truly AMAZING!!! Highly recommend this place you wont be disappointed!

This place is absolutely amazing. Very happy and friendly people. The food prepared by Executive Chef Charles Gibert and Chef Jesse is fantastic and they treat you like friends. Jen, Tyne, Rylee, Sam and Karen are the same way. Will bend over backwards to make your experience outstanding. Pooch, River, and Augustus make the horse trails unforgettable. If you have the chance, please go. Stay, eat and ride with these awesome people. I most definitely will be going back

Beautiful setting and decent food. I hope to overnight here in the future, but wont until my dog is better able to stay overnight without me since he cant go on the horse riding outing.

This is by far my favorite vacation destination to date.Under the new ownership, the staff has been second to none and the view is spectacular. Our cabin was clean and cozy, the lodge serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and their wranglers are willing to make your dream horseback adventure come true. They are located a quick trip from the Yellowstone east entrance too!

I just spent a week at this ranch, I had the time of my life! The staff was amazing, I left there feeling like family and can not wait to go back. I would recommend this place without hesitation their accommodations are world class and the ranch is an experience that no one should miss.

The UXU is under new ownership & management, please dont pay any attention to the bad reviews that are currently on Google as they are for the last owners and management. We are re-open, have a wonderful staff. Come try us out, we have a full service restaurant, & bar. Wonderful horses with amazing guides and wranglers!

My 2 boys and I just had the best expierence at the UXU Ranch!! We are from Florida and had the best vacation ever, my boys convinced me to extend our stay and are talking about coming back next year. The property and cabins have been renovated and are super clean, the food is very good and reasonable, and the horseback riding is awesome. Cayla has an incredible staff and they ALL made me and my boys feel like family!

Very peaceful, great freindly people. Wish we would have found this place sooner on our trip. Food was fantastic. I would recomend it for every age.

Restaurant only,food did not meet expectations,server was ill informed,no guacomole for quesidilla,no Parmesan cheese for Alfreda pasta,pasta poor.where is this great chef.They need a lot of work.access is bumpy gravel

Most terrible lodging experience Ive had in the several travel ventures that Ive done. They never clean your room or provide you with basic amenities even after you ask them to do so on several occasions. Our ranch had a family of rats and mice in it who took the liberty to climb into one of the beds and onto the body of one of my family members while she was asleep. When we told the assistant manager of this incident, she said we were in the middle of the woods so that should be expected. That was definitely not the right reason. The correct reason was that they hadnt picked up the trash for 4 days in a row and never once cleaned the room properly during our stay. When I asked for the manager, nobody could locate her and she was apparently off grids. We left two days before we were supposed to after the mice incident. It was the most disgusting experience Ive ever had from any place that Ive lodged at. I would not recommend it to anyone wanting the full ranch experience. This place is in chaos with poor to zero management and lack of cleanliness.

Had a scenic view of the mountains and the horses in the coral. Deer grazing in the pasture and a stream nearby to try fishing. Breakfast was included and enjoyed meeting the wranglers and staff.

We didnt stay here but came for the guided horseback riding. The whole staff was very friendly and it was a great experience!

That new girl Jen is pretty great.Knew her from back home and reccomend she gets a huge raise.

July2017: You will not regret staying here. This place is one of the best places i have stayed! The restaurant is perfect and cozy, the food is delicious, and the view is like a dream(but i come from the gulf so mountains amaze me). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The horse rides are fantastic, I rode on Morgan, He was a pretty good horse. My sister got cuervo, he was pretty good too. I will be going back to wyoming just to stay here again.Update June2018: This place is still one of the best places i have traveled to. I would love to make this a yearly vacation, it is so peaceful and beautiful. They have changed chefs since I was here last, his food is fantastic, although i have to ask for sauces on the side because i am not a fan, I am more of a simple kind of person, those complex flavors are not for me, also the food is a bit on the expensive side compared to the other ranches around. The staff is phenomenal!!! and so accommodating. while youre here you need to take a horse ride with pooch and his adorable dog sam. If you take the breakfast ride pooch can cook a mean ham and cheese sandwich. This place is dog friendly, all the staff has dogs, they are all well behaved and love to be loved on.

Totally awesome ranch. My wife and son had the best time ever. We didnt want to leave. Cayla lacie reynan pooch and the cowboys were awesome. The chef knows how to cook great food. The dogs were so fun we wanted to take them home. Pooch was a very helpful cowboy for us greenhorns. Our trail ride was perfect. We will be back yearly to enjoy this great place. Miss it already.

A good place to disconnect. I was alone one night and I really would like to be a week. The staff quite good and friendly. The food a la carte is quite good. The girl at the reception helped me with the translator of her phone to understand us in English. (I do not speak English) I will come back when possible.
