The nice people in the leasing office make living here such an experience. Tabitha and her team are great. Super understanding and helpful. I love my apartment. Maintenance always comes by the next day just make sure to do your request not on a Friday if you want fast result though lol i even love that they remember to leave a note on the door so you know they came. Highly recommended and 5 stars for phenomenal customer service! If you want a leasing office who engages and knows you by name and door number without looking you up this is the place for you!!! Keep doing what your doing guys !
This past year the staff has gone out of their way to make COVID arrangement while keeping the comfort and amenities of residents as open as possible. They have been available immediately when storm damaged my unit. Will only leave here if I buy a home.
I read reviews online about Saddle Brook and decided to take a chance regardless of the negative reviews. People ALWAYS leave negative reviews when they cant get their way.I thought I would stay for a year. Its been 3 years. The management staff was nice but Annie in the front office is THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST!!!! She ALWAYS has a welcoming smile and ALWAYS was very accommodating when it came to issues I had with the apartment. I TRULY think she makes ALL the difference. If youre renting here, ask to speak and rent from Annie. Shes the GREATEST!!!Thats It. I highly recommend Saddle Brook Apartments.Good Luck with your apartment search.Calvin
First thing I have to say I appreciate Annie who works at the office. She is amazing tries everything possible to help a resident. Others in the office are great, they are always busy at the office doing as much as possible for the residents. I would like to acknowledge Chafing, shes very helpful she has lots of answers and she is always coming up with resolution or a follow back thank you very much. Maintenance guys are doing very well, take care of everything they can. Property is big. There are plenty stores around walking distance. My neighbors are nice and respectful. Parking lot is clean and amazing if need be extra trash pick up. Nice place to see lots of beautiful dogs and respectful dog walking. We have a 🐶 doggy park. For kids plenty play grounds.
If youre looking at these apartments its likely because the rising costs of housing in America isnt presenting you affordable options. Hope you can live with mice, faulty electrical, and most of your appliances on the fritz from day one.
Good place to live if you are young or have a small family. Leasing staff is friendly, large pool behind the office building, very close to every retail store on York road, rent is affordable for the amount of space you get compared to other prices in the area. I would recommend this apartment complex to a friend.
Poor communication from management. MICE. Poor finishing in renovated apartments. Uneven floors. Sloppy and obnoxious neighbors. Lazy maintenance. MICE. Cheaper rent prices are the only thing appealing about this place. If you can spend a little more, look somewhere else.
My husband and I lived here for 4 years.Pros: There are a lot of families So it feels really safe, Management is super nice and very helpful, maintenance responds quickly and are really nice guys!, walking distance to Dunkin, Target, Food Lion, etc., great walking area/paths behind the apartments, Great location in general, washer/dryer in unit,Cons: the apartments are completely carpeted with the exception of the kitchen and bathroom (I understand this is a personal preference), A bit expensive, a bit outdated, very dark (there is one Small window in the bedroom, and an even smaller one in the den. The balcony has a steep roof that only allows a little bit of light in.Overall, it was a great place to live.
Ive been here for a month and a half I tried to give management the opportunity to work on something before posting my review but they are not moving fast enough for me so here it goes. The complex is kept immaculately clean. The location is wonderful. The most noise your going to hear is from outside traffic and we are close to the fire house so I hear that multiple times a day but its not too bad at night its completely quiet. Any restaurant, store or shop you can think of is right around the corner. The elementary school is in walking distance. All the staff has been polite and professional but....My complaint we pay for the heat but they had put a cap at 76 degrees and never disclosed this prior to signing my lease or I would have never signed. The heat is the worst Im running two heaters and using my oven to heat my almost $1300 apt. Once I became aware of this issue I contacted management immediately. They sent a maintenance person who basically walked thru my apartment closing different vents to filter the heat were its needed. My entire apartment should be able to be heated properly with all vents open. My bedroom receives no heat at all from the vent. The maintenance man indicated that they have a key that can unlock the heat to 80 but the leasing office continues to act like that is not an option. Even after I was told to submit something in writing requesting the heat be unlocked to 80. I sent my request 7 days ago. When following up with the rental office, obviously frustrated, I was told the request was submitted but shes not maintenance. I politely went off. This is not something I should have to go thru during winter with a 5 year old.Other than this major issue for me I love the apartment. There could be a little more attention paid to details but nothing that cant be corrected. Any issues I have had where handled immediately. I had a cosmetic issue with my stove and the office manager Robin, who is the best, replaced it with no questions asked and I really appreciated it.
Great apartment, really enjoyed living there and if I didnt need to move out of state for work, Id have stayed there a long time.
This place deserves negative stars.I hope you like mice and a negligent leasing office. I have been in their leasing office twice every week for the first 6 months of my lease. I ended up contacting code enforcement and paying $50 for a court date just to get out of my lease because mice were disturbing me during all times of the night and they were leaving feces everywhere on the counter, stove, floor, etc. The leasing office never reacted until code enforcement threatened to fine them. What they did do was delay the mice from entering my apartment since mice would still be present 3 weeks later after pest control treated my apartment. When I confronted them in court they told me that I was not responsive or not forthcoming with providing them with information - which was a lie. They offered me another unit that they said didnt have any mice and actually tried to make me pay more for the other unit since it was going for a higher rate, and they would not let me see the unit prior to moving in. I reluctantly agreed to it and moved down the road to another apartment in the same complex.Transfer to the new apartment (same complex):When I moved into the new unit, I found another mouse 2 months later. I told the leasing office and they had pest control come out and remedy the problem. The leasing office acted as if they did everything they possibly could do and were victims of circumstance. However, this process where I would see a mouse, report it to the leasing office, pest control would come out and do their usual routine, and then there would be no sign of a mouse for 3 weeks became a continuous and repeating cycle. This cycle continued until I finally moved out.You will hear EVERYTHING if you live below someone. I hear all of my neighbors walking upstairs above me. In my first unit here I lived on the 3rd floor and didnt hear much. In my transfer unit (the second one I moved into) allows me to hear all of my neighbors. The absolute trashiest, low class place, I have ever lived in. I was able to hear people walking around upstairs sometimes starting at 5 am and continuing for the entire day. Mice scratch at the walls and holes and are always trying to get in and disrupt my evenings. I was in the leasing office on average once per week for my 12 months lease. I hate that I ever moved here. I have NEVER missed a rent payment and have a very clean history and this is how im treated. WELL Bye and good riddance.Extra disappointments:The mice are always in the kitchen - probably because the baseboards and cabinet walls have holes everywhere. The baseboards in the kitchen arent sealed up, and some are just missing, and thats where the mice come and go. The mice also come in from an enlarged hole behind the stove/oven where the gas line and other conduits originate. The outlets arent a tight fit either from years of use. I requested that they fix the outlets but they didnt (so glad I spent so many hours going to their leasing office to complain AND paid my rent on the first every month). I would think you would want to take care of the tenants who take care of you but whatever the leasing office is subpar.Be prepared for industrial workers to park their big trucks tow trucks, bobcats, and mobile homes all over the parking spaces. In the mornings, it looks like an industrial work area due to all the trucks, bobcats, and towing equipment just parked everywhere. THEY WILL GET IN THE WAY WHEN YOU DRIVE IN AND OUT OF THE PARKING LOT.
Awesome staff !!! Glad I moved here !!
I needed a place by 10/29/2020 and they had one available on 11/2 and they worked magic and got me in on the 29th, washer stoped working on a Sunday and Monday morning a maintenance crew was out to remedy the situation, the management staff was to most engaging and progressional, I enjoyed our laughs and them being attentive to my needs, maintenance staff was spot on, and they never accepted my tips, as they explained it was their duty, the apartment was clean, updated, and extremely quite, I only moved out on 1/22/2021 because I purchased a home, but this place would have been one I wouldve stayed at for quite awhile...
NEVER live on the bottom floor. Only choose an apartment where there will be no one above you because there is no sound protection between the top of the ceiling and the floor above you. You will hear ever set someone takes that lives above you and it is absolute torture.Other than that, this is a pretty standard apartment.
I have lived at Saddle Brooke for a year and my biggest complaint is that the hours of the leasing office is not agreeable to those who work for a living. It would be really helpful if the leasing office had more accommodating hours,s as opening earlier in the day, around 5am, prior to people having to leave for work, or staying open later in the evening, until 8pm so that tenants are able to take care of their needs. I was really disappointed that the leasing office closed early for the holiday weekend with no notice to the tenants. I was hoping to buy pool passes for the 4th of July, but am unable to do so because the office closed early. I certainly want the employees of the leasing office to enjoy their holiday as well, however, it would have been nice to know ahead of time so that I could have planned accordingly.
Renters beware!!If you want to be treated with dignity and respect as a women of color stay far away from this place as possible. The leasing staff that works here is the worst. They are very rude ,and apparently do not know their name or the name of the company that just brought them. While visiting the community pool on one of the hottest days of the year, we was denied access , while others was not. The cost of the pool /gym is included in my rent, however I was left embarrassed in front of my company who was visiting from out of town . My guest was told that they was not allowed in the pool because they was not on my lease. Of course my visitors would not be on my lease , that was why we were in the leasing office inquiring about a guest pass. However the office staff including the lady who stated the she was office manager was very rude . The office staff stated that they did not offer guest passes , which was a lie because I was just told on the phone when I called that they did. I felt like i was racially profiled because i was a women of color by the office staff which was evident by their condescending tone. When asked for corporate number to file a complaint the office staff stated that they did not know the number because the apartments was just brought by a new company. When i stated that i did not believe that there was no number to corporate, because even if they was brought by a new company there still should be a number to file a complaint. The lady who stated earlier that she was the manager stated that she did not care what i thought and that she still was not giving me a number .
When we moved here, the staff was very nice, well informed and helpful. The maintenance was responsive and kind. The apartments themselves are still nice, but maintenance has gotten slower and the leasing office always fails to understand or by empathetic to my problems. Towards the end of our stay, a number of our Christmas decorations got stolen from our storage unit in the building and when I informed the leasing office, they merely made a note to repair the chicken wire without so much as an apology for not responding to my email I had sent them regarding it a month earlier.
The Best Apartments in Cockleshell. The maintenance staffs are too good. They used to fix the issues asap. The rent is little high in comparison to neighborhood but its worthy.Updated - Removed to 2 start for charging unfairly. After staying 5+ years the management asked to Pay full price of Microwave. The microwave door glass slipped as socket to hold the glass was broken. I Paid $ 500 + only for Microwave replacement.
We’ve been here since 2017 and everyone is normally helpful and maintenance handles matters immediately MOST of the time, although Sometimes it does feel like the leasing office is unorganized, they’re always quick to remedy any problem we have.
I just moved here on Tuesday,Im not understanding the bad reviews on the office staff? They have been awsome! Had a problem with dishwasher and maintenance was there in like 15 min and Eric was also very nice!!! I love it here! Rachel in the office is great too!!!! Highly recommend!!!!
Absolutely awful experience. The staff get attitudes very easily and dont really know how to communicate. When getting ready to leave, I stated not only at the start but throughout my stay that I would only be here 3 months. I was called and asked to send an email 20 days before I moved out about when I would be leaving. The next day I received an email stating I would be charged for 30 days from when I sent the email. Absolute BS, dont stay here.
I moved in a few months ago downsizing from a home. I can say that my experience here has been nothing less than pleasant. What property gives you a full size washer and dryer, a humungous pool, a gym, and more in this area for a fairly decent price. Yes there are other complexes in the area, but none that offer the service that is given to you here. Home Properties is a great management company to live under and also a great company to work for as well. I loved my experience so much that I decided to apply for a job!
It used to be good but not anymore. Worst and very very rude office staff now for about an year. Talk to their manager if you cant bear them. Maintenance staff is fine. Rodents issue in some buildings. School rating is quite low (5 as of now for elementary).
Just like other reviewers here, I too had worst experience with office staff. Even if they give you a big discount on rent, I wouldnt recommend this place for anyone. Hey but if you like sleeping with mice, this is the place for you :P Looks like lot of units here has water leakage problems through the walls. The unit below us was often flooded when we use the bath tub and they couldnt fix the issue for weeks. On top of it, after fixing the issue, they had put the repair charges on to our account saying its because of our negligence. Bunch of liars...
Positives:Neighborhood schools are decentGrounds are well keptMaintainence quite friendly , (but mostly ineffective)Very close to restaurants and supermarkets.Negatives:Rude office staffRodent and bug issuesMany plumbing issuesI feel as though the place as gone down hill, over the years. Guess all the nice decent office people of the past got replaced by the current hoodbooger cretins. Pains me to sign my rent check every month but I hate moving. Plus I hear all of the other communities near by are just as awful.
Such a great community! Would highly recommend renting here.
I am going to try to make this sort and sweet. I never thought I would be living in a section 8 apartment complex before. I recently moved to Baltimore, and this property seemed nice looking at the web-page. Im going to bullet point my experience below.Noisy all of the time with yelling, and neighbors (husband & wife, or girlfriend & boyfriend) fighting all hours of the evening. There is a sports field very close to the property, and everyone uses the dumpster as a toilet. Yes, guys and girls, Ive had the pleasure of seeing this many time. The smell of pot/marijuana is in the air 24/7Never leave any of your valuables in your apartment and leave. The complex staff can, and will enter your property at will without any notice to you.The office staff has been nice; however, if you want something taken care of, it is best to go into the office as opposed to calling them.I tried a few times to speak with the office manager, and I was told both times that she was too busy to speak with me. (Really!)If it snow, you better own a shovel, and have a strong back. The complex does not plow the snow. The people who work in the complex park their cars in the handicap spots in-front of the handicap ramp so that no one (handicap, or old) can use that area to safely enter the building. When I moved-in a few months ago, I was told that my carpet was new. However, after a few weeks, the carpet is showing nasty urine pet stains all over the place. I repeatedly asked Saddle Brooke to either clean it again, or replace it, and I was told (so sorry) we are not doing anything about it.If you are a the type of person, who works hard, and would like to come home to a relatively quiet home to spend a nice evening with your family, this is not the place for you.Good Luck in your apartment search!
Worst apartment/management ever. Saddle brooke took four days to come and plow the snow and when they finally came they only cleared the leasing office streets, go figure right? Its going on day five now and Im still snowed in. All the other surrounding apartment streets were plowed days ago so dont tell me its not possible to get our streets done in FIVE days! Alot of my neighbors had to shovel them self out of the complex. You pay all this rent for what? Theres so much more bad things I could tell you about this place but, long story make it short I dont recommend these apartments AT ALL. Unless you are really really desperate!!
I just moved here in July, Ive called about the noisy neighbors next to me twice and nothing changed they play this loud bass bumping music all late hours of the night and every single day almost alllll day and it gives me a head ache. I should not be able to feel my bed vibrating!!!! They dont care about their tenants being peaceful apparently. I will be moving when this lease is up. Smh so sad because I like my location.
I have been living here at Saddle Brooks for almost a year. Apartment is beautiful and well kept. I have heard of bed bugs but never experienced it. Fast office staff turn around. I know for a fact that they can start a claim against your rental insurance without you even being aware that there is damages done or without the insurance company see a damage per say.. What ever rapor they have with the rental insurance company that they recommened is legal or not, the company is not really for you. Dont know if they are the same owner. I will not be spending a second year here because office staff is not too familiar on customer service..
Initially nice. Eventually bad. My girlfriend has lived here for over a year. While theyre happy to overcharge, theyre incompetent in handling their duties. The amenities in no way justify the over priced rent. Dont count on maintenance solving any problems. I am a paid professional in the restoration industry and know first hand, the lead maintenance doesnt know or care about his job. His poor ego wont allow him to even try doing something someone elses way. Professionally, i witnessed it first hand. His help knew more than him. In a nut shell, they wont solve the problem to prevent future damage and expenses, theyd rather bandaid, through paint over it and move on to the next. With a trained eye, upon the initial move in, i saw pre-existing damage... Only to find, my girlfriend has leaks, odor problems and everything the pre-existing the paint jobs covered up.On another note. You wont get respect from neighbors. Theyre loud and lazy. Am example would be leaving the front door which is a keyed / buzzer entry for extra security, leaving it chained open, so non-residents are free to come and go. Another example would be leaving trash bags in the hallway....I apologize if this comes across as a rant, but over the year Ive visited my girlfriend, shes sought my advice and experience so she can become informed about her situation.
Dont move there its bad. Rodents in the buildings & people leave the doors open, so anyone or any form of wildlife or any rodent can walk right in the hallway. Hillgreen Cir is a major accident waiting to happen, cars flying up & down a blind curve. No posted speed limits & no speed bumps what so ever. Trash all over the parking lots. Apartments are also very cold in the winter, despite paying your own BGE, you cannot turn the heat up past 72°. You will wait days before a snow plow comes & numerous visits from maintenance/pest control the issues are never solved. You can hear whats going on in every apartment in your building, if its a normal convo or an argument.......a horrible experience to say the least !!!
Unsure what the other reviewers are saying, solid apartment complex, rent on the high side but I feel its worth it.
Been here for an year, worst management, poor snow clearance, even when the entire BW is cleared, the saddle brook Apts has still got enough snow to skiing. Only few of the staff are concerned about the resident others are mean enough to give you a tress passing look. Coming to their online rent payment system, it sucks, makes you pay rent twice and yet you get conviction notice from court. Coming the house, the walls are think enough to hear neighbors conversation :/. The list goes on, you name a problem, they have it for sure.
I like the way they respond to complaints. Mostly with in 24 hrs.Of course, 60 days notice before u vacate is mandatory which is common in other neighborhood apartments too
Worst new leasing office stuff.
Property manger would not do anything about other residents doing illegal substances in their apartment.
This the Worst community i ever seen
Awaiting management response
X is very pretty and comfortable
