Wendy always had a calming feel to her. All of the staff was great to work with but I felt Wendy went over and beyond to make me and my family comfortable. And it would not have been the same experience without her.

We used Boice for both my sister and my mom. They are so helpful and compassionate. I highly recommend them if and when you lose a loved one.

At a very difficult time in our lives the last thing we wanted to deal with is problems with the funeral home. Our family has used Boyce for over 75 years, but will never trust them again. The announcement they were to put in our local paper for our mother was never done. People were turned away at the church and were told we were late for the rosary. This was not true and the priest had to clarify to our friends as well as the funeral home employee. Had very little communication, but they did call to tell us we owed more money two weeks later. The director called to let me know that there was an oversight in paying the musician at the church and we owed more money. I let them know that yes, I would pay that, and it’s funny that that is the only time we heard from them. At that point they apologized and said they would cover the additional cost and would get back to us to let us know what they learned that actually occurred at the service. This was over a year ago and we still have not heard anything back. Extremely disappointed.

I was impressed how Boice was willing to coordinate everything. The obituary, coordination with the church, reception, military guard, and cemetery was way more than I was capable of at the time. Kristie’s experience and guidance was so helpful at this time. The memory books are treasures.

We were lucky to have the services of Boice Funeral Home when my father died in peace at home on July 20,2020. Their services were complete from taking the body from home, keeping it, preserving it, viewing at their very proper chapel in Clovis, and finally the burial. Other services included help with photo compilations, legal aspects such as death certificate, casket selection, etc. They helped me not get overwhelmed with details as they guided me through the process. Lyndel, Wendy, Kevin as I got to know them, and the rest of their staff and crew were all professional and caring. The prices of services were also reasonable and choices were offered.I pray to God, that I will not be in a position to need Funeral services soon again for a long long time, but when it finally happens again I am sure my only call will be to Boice.

They are very kind people at Boice. Obviously my family was going through a very difficult time. Perhaps the most difficult time of our lives. It helped so much when going through this unfortunate process to have people to explain our options in a patient and very detailed way. Most importantly they were very sensitive and respectful and treated us like real people who just lost someone we love SO MUCH instead of like we were just customers or something. My family is very appreciative of that. It must be an incredibly difficult job to do what they do but they are very good at it because most importantly they are very good people!

In such an unexpected unfortunate circumstance Boice was wonderful to deal with. They were kind and helpful throughout the process of losing my father. I would highly recommend them in such a time as this.

Could not have any better service!

My husband and I chose Boice based on the good reviews here on Google and the convenience of their location. We had a unique situation of burying our stillborn son after a traumatic hospital experience. I leave this review for any other parents facing similar a situation. There is no way to be prepared to bury a child. The man we met with initially warned us it could take a bit longer than expected to get everything needed from the hospital to file paperwork with the county. But what happened showed a lack of concern in Boice’s dealings with us and the hospital to get the proper paperwork signed. The man we worked with at Boice did not keep us up to date on the status as promised. We ended up having to find the doctor ourselves to get the paperwork signed. We feel like the level of service we received was not as good as others have mentioned because we were such a small dollar project. When it should have been opposite, to get everything squared away quickly. It took 3 weeks from our initial appointment for everything to be settled and the funeral scheduled.Those 3 weeks there was so much lack of communication, we though it would take even longer to schedule a funeral. There were many things Boice could have done to make this process easier on us and smoother. I hope they will do better next time should other grieving parents chose to go through them.

Boice made the process very easy. Kevin drove to my Dads house to get a signature due to not having a caregiver for my mother.Kevin listened to what I wanted & provided my exact Services. JD and her associates worked tirelessly with our family and gave my mom a beautiful and dignified 2-day funeral and visitation in October of 2018. We are Buddhists and they worked with the local Vietnamese Buddhist monks and our family for smooth and seamless transitioning. We catered food from La Boulangerie on both days and rented their white table cloths, tables and chairs. The gentlemen there were extremely courteous, professional and respectful. They helped us set up the buffet lunches in their garden area and made sure we didnt run out of hot coffee and bottled water. The facility was kept immaculate and be sure to ask to park your cars in front and curbside for those who cannot walk far. Our family were very happy with the way the funeral and memorial turned out at Boice. We had over 20 flower stands and they helped us transport them to the cemetery nearby. Thank you JD and associates for helping our family with a dignify and beautiful service for our mom.BTW, they did a great job with my mom for the open casket ceremony.

I start by saying Lyndel James handed this memorial with more care than my mom’s in September 2018.However it has been two weeks and we still do not have death certificates. We were told up to two weeks from the beginning, finding out later that you waited 4 business days before delivering them to the county recorder. Because your company only makes one trip a week to the county recorders office your customers have to hope there are no mistakes to inhibit the process.Multiple times myself or a family member called to ask a question and were told we would be called back. Most of the time we had to call back because Boice did not call us back. I realize it’s a difficult job to balance professional service while being empathetic towards your customers, however if you do not take care of the business part the empathy feels condescending.Lastly there was a mistake made graveside and I was bothered at the interruption by your employee. I don’t like surprises and wasn’t asked prior, we had told Lyndel our plans in our consultation and your employee made changes.I do want to say that after the service your staff was respectful, professional, and efficient making the post service arrangements easier.
