I got the perfect and awesome service I needed from Mike and his team in my most troubled time after Hurricane Ida. With incredible dedication and professionalism, they worked for hours without rest and did not stop until all the work was done. We got tired watching them, but they didnt even make the slightest complaint. In the end, they did an excellent and impressive job. In my opinion, Mike and his team are the best tree experts in New Jersey and they deserve all the praise and appreciation. It was a great pleasure working with them.

These folks deserve every penny for their service. I had two trees fall onto my garage from last night’s storm. I called Mike the owner this morning at 7am. He quickly came out, assessed the damage, gave me a plan on how to deal with insurance, helped me explain the situation to my neighbor (trees were on their property), then executed the work. The trees were gone by mid afternoon.Mike also took the time to educate me on all the various trees I have on my property, and how to properly care for them. Mike and his crew saved my property during the most recent storm in NJ. I contacted Arbor Ace to remove a tree that had recently fallen in a storm. Mike was courteous, informative and honest in his assessment of our needs. He communicated regularly with me since I wasnt able to be at the job during the service, so I knew exactly what was happening. From start to finish, they were attentive to detail, professional, safe, and respectful (both to me and to my property). Weve used Mike for a number of tree jobs over the last twenty-five years. Last week he removed a seventy foot birch from our backyard. When we called him to look at it, he told me, Mike, when I get done your yard will look just like it does now, only you wont have a tree there. And it does. Where the tree stood, theres a 10 by 6 foot rectangle of red cedar mulch that looks like its ready for planting flowers in. Mikes thorough, efficient, and dependable... Id recommend him to anyone.

Mike and Arbor Ace are phenomenal professionals. The old adage “you get what you pay for” is very true. There are many tree companies and some are good tree companies of course, but Arbor Ace is outstanding. Mike removed a very large, and sadly, diseased blue spruce from our front lawn. It was near wires and Mike did a wonderful job safely removing it. We hated to see it go but we were glad to replant a new tree. It is without hesitation we would use Arbor Ace for any needs in the future.

Used Mike + Arbor Ace for tree removal at my property in Florham Park. Everyone was very friendly, great communication and pricing was reasonable. Would recommend.

Absolutely SUPERB tree service company. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are not newcomers to using such services. We have used several over the many years that we have lived in Essex County, but hands down they provided the best service we have experienced. The firm we had used previously no longer was taking on business and we were nervous about selecting a new firm. We selected Arbor over several other candidates not just because of the excellent reviews but because they were prompt in responding, arrived when they said they would, were highly knowledgeable, and were honest with us. We had a particularly challenging tree to remove: a sixty foot pine tree in the extreme back corner of our 100 deep property with very limited access. But Arbor basically said Trust us. We employ state-of-the-art equipment that can readily handle the job. We selected them over the other candidates for all the above reasons, even though they were not the least expensive (about middle of the road on their bid). Their operations chief spoke with us several times before the agreed-upon date to do the job, and the owner came out personally the day before to inspect our site. They arrived just when they said they would. And when they said state-of-the-art they werent doing themselves justice. The new device they used was ASTOUNDING, like something straight out of a Transformers movie. There apparently are VERY few currently being employed nationwide and it was amazing to watch it - and the operator (the owner himself) - work. I think I would have paid to watch the device work (note the photo below). But beyond this, the entire crew was extremely professional and thorough, taking care to protect the driveway where the device was erected, and doing a thorough and constant grounds clean-up. Most importantly, the end result was an exceptionally well-executed operation: no issues, no damage to anything (which I thought would be unavoidable), which is all that one could ask for. Afterwards, we peppered the owner with questions about options for planting new foliage in the trees place. He was thorough and patient in his recommendations.Last: we decided to take our pine tree down for safety reasons, not for the aesthetics. But afterwards, Arbor Aces team did such a phenomenal job at the stump removal, ground leveling and grading and cleanup (actually using the stump shavings to create a new planting bed and also spreading mulch around our overall yard) that our backyard actually looks better.Sorry for the length of this review, but in a time when finding competent and reliable service is becoming harder and harder to do - Arbor Ace really stood out for us as a truly refreshing exception to the rule, and we thought they deserved this.

I urgently needed help getting the trees removed before the other work started. They were able to get the job done on time and the yard looks great.

In Christmas morning at 2am a massive tree fell on my house and collided with the room where my wife and 4 month old where sleeping. I got them out the house and started calling emergency places. Arbor was the only place to answer on the holiday. They were up front an honest about everything that they had to get done and had someone come out on Christmas Day ( Z tree Experts his brothers company and they do work together in emergency situations). They gave me a run down of what they had to do and where at my house the following day . They brought excellent equipment for the job, which had to fit in a tight area with multiple wires to work around and only access was from the front of house. Not to forget that the tree was over 3 Floors high and branches where at least 15 feet long. They completed the job in the cold after the storm. The team did everything in a safe and profession manner hard hats, harness all machinery was spot on for the job and was used in a very safe manner. The complete staff was friendly and professional they felt like some old friends rather then people coming to fix my emergency disaster. They cleaned up everything way beyond what they had to and did not cause anymore damage. Even with stump removal they left the area like nothing ever happened . One of the biggest things was that they where upfront about everything and asked before the did anything to change the landscape even if it had to be done they always asked first. This is my first major disaster as a first time home owner and they made the situation smooth. They even Handle paperwork that goes to insurance company. I have a few more projects to come and they are my go to company for everything that I want done. I would highly recommend them they made this incident stress free.

Mike and his team were at my neighbors house removing a large pine tree and pruning another very large / tall tree. I was extremely impressed with the skill and precision he displayed while performing this difficult and dangerous work. In fact, his approach was downright surgical. While he was there, I asked if he would please take care of a large branch that was overhanging one of my trees. He very graciously obliged, and in fact went above and beyond what I had asked to make sure the entire view from my side of the neighbors tree looked neat, clean, and well manicured. Before leaving for the day, he and his team cleaned up the worksite, and left the grounds absolutely immaculate. He returned the next morning to do some additional work at my neighbors, and called me over to show me what he did. He also gave me some important advice concerning a tree in my yard, and even offered to prune a few branches while he was there! Last, he was very considerate in suggesting I move the cars out of my driveway, just in case a few stump grindings made their way over. And before leaving, he blew off my driveway too. Bottom line, ArborAce is skilled, competent, professional, courteous, considerate, and neat, and they take an awful lot of pride in what they do. I highly recommend them.

Viewing an online plethora of positive reviews for Arbor Ace Tree Service, I contacted the company, through its sales rep Joe, to hew a diseased tree and remove its stump.Mike, the owner, arrived with his longtime colleague Charlie, and an array of equipment. Mike noted my yards disarray with flora, and offered to prune and trim numerous trees, big and small, and remove a smaller but diseased tree that had been propped up with cord after nearly toppling out of the ground. To which I agreed. Mike and Charlie spent the day cutting and cleaning up in the front, back and side, joined by a third worker, and clued me in on their work status and pertinent details on trees and shrubs.I dont submit many reviews on local businesses, so this 5-star write-up is significant for me. After removing four (two very old and large oaks) trees from our property, they trimmed some damaged branches from another tree -- just because it needed to be done. I could not have asked for better service and precision from a tree removal company. After a wicked storm hit, a large branch from an old tree crashed onto my roof. I immediately called Arbor Ace Tree Service and they showed up to assess the damage within 2 hours of the storm passing.NJ was hit pretty horribly, and yet the team still made there way to remove the branch within the week. They came back the following week to remove the entire tree, which was far back on the property behind 2 other large trees. The precision which the Arbor Ace Tree Service team worked was incredible. They were able to efficiently and effectively remove an entire giant tree, and weave it through the spaces between other trees and houses. There was no damage to ANYTHING - including the lawn, which they kindly protected by placing wood boards along a path so the giant tree-removing truck could travel the law without causing damage.Their services are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. My new neighbors (started moving in the week before Christmas) had the misfortune of having 4 massive pine trees in their yard snap and uproot after the high wind storm on Christmas Eve. Mike and his Arbor Ace Tree crew came to our neighbors assistance and removed the fallen trees off their cars and garage roof. The clean up is impressive. Mike is a robotic tree surgeon. With his robotic tree cutting crane he systematically cut and removed all the fallen trees from our neighbors property. I worked with Mike and Joe two times this summer to remove large oak trees from my back yard. They were very detailed and meticulous about every part of the job. The entire crew was friendly and took care to prevent any damage to property. I cant thank the team at Arbor Ace enough for their quick response, professionalism and highly-skilled work to remove a large section of a 100+ year-old oak that fell on my and my neighbors property. They meticulously and safely removed it section-by-section using a high-tech crane stretched over two houses without causing any further damage to my or any adjacent properties. After the work was complete, they assessed the conditions of other nearby trees, removed any and all debris and left the property spotless. They were fair and easy to work with, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them for any emergency tree job.

I first contacted Arbor Ace Tree Service last summer to remove almost all trees and shrubs from my property. Joe was responsive, available, and spent a good amount of time with me describing each tree and shrub and what was and was not smart to remove. Unfortunately, I was unable to use them at the time.I contacted them again this winter, and they were just as quick to respond and come back to the property as they were last summer. Joe remembered most of the original plan, and discussed changes as necessary. The price did not change between these two timeframes.The company came out today to perform the work discussed. They exceeded my expectations. My backyard looks totally different, and they were not only able to use the stump grinder in places difficult to reach, but the employees made sure that the ground was repaired and refilled in in a very professional manner. The property looks fantastic.I also had them handle some shrubs in the front of my property. While the absence of the shrubs is incredibly noticeable, to look at the ground you would never know they were ever there. They went above and beyond when they noticed that there were old trees stumps that had not been properly disposed, and ground them for me as well.I took photos of the before and after, and I did not recognize my property. I have shown them to other people so that they can see the difference too. I wish the site would let me post the photos so you could see amazing work they did.I highly recommend their services.

I was very impressed by the precautions they took while working on our neighbors yard. They have been cutting down quite a few trees and I noticed they posted someone on the street to ensure safety with the equipment. They also made a point of checking in with us regarding potentially entering our property while cleaning and cutting dead branches that spanned the property line. They could not have been more courteous while practicing safety precautions. Would definitely recommend and will be contacting them to look at some of our trees now!

Mike and his team did an excellent job in removing two trees from our front lawn. They were easy and great to work with from start to end. I cannot be more impressed with Arbor Ace Tree Service. Last night here in Lincoln Park, NJ, we had a terrible thunderstorm and a massive tree in my back yard fell over right into my pool breaking my pool fence, pool diving board, pool slide...We just bought this house about 2 years ago and we have a 1 and 2 year old baby girls. We have used the pool and backyard everyday since being home during COVID-19 and this unexpected act left us very upset. After reading some of these google reviews, I knew they were worth a call. Within 30 minutes, I had a gentleman at my house looking at the damage. I instantly knew they were the emergency service I was going to go with. Sometimes when you know, you know! I called Arbor Ace based on their reputation and I am extremely happy we did. Mike and everyone on his crew are very professional, highly skilled and experienced. They took care of the tree that fell during a storm and damaged our garage, vegetable patch and a portion of our neighbors fence. Arbor Ace is an absolutely amazing company I would use anytime. Upon moving to the area, we had some problem trees. They assessed our area with a very fair quote. This also then led to the need for some emergency servicing as some limbs began to fall. Arbor Ace moved heaven and earth to make the impossible happen. Excellent work. My tree had some damage, so he tested the tree to see the amount of damage, so the tree would not be cut down unnecessarily. It only needed to be pruned. Very professional and neat.

Good company, very well organized and do very good work. I noticed them working at one of my neighbors homes and asked the owner of the business for some wood from the tree they cut down so I can mill it and the owner was very nice and even dropped in off at my house a few doors down the street. The next tree I have cut down there’s only one company that I’m calling, this guys.

We hired Arbor Ace to take a tree down this week, and they were wonderful to work with. Very friendly and thoughtful, i.e. they put wood planks down everywhere to protect our property AND our neighbors property from any debris, and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommended Arbor Ace Tree Service. We had a huge magnolia tree that was storm damaged and had to come down. Their price was fair and reasonable. Mike and his crew did a great job. They took great care to thoroughly clean the site after all the tree removal was done.

Called Arbor Ace for a non-emergency possible tree removal for a pin oak tree that was over 3 stories high, in between power lines, 2 sheds, a shared fence, and was starting to lift the ground around it.They gave an estimate on when, how long the job would be, and what to expect. They were able to also address all of my questions i had. At the end, we decided it was best to remove the tree.The job was finished in 3 half days (its December, so days are short now), stored and cleaned up the all the branch debris. I was expecting to come home with tree twigs everywhere the day they took down the branches and chipped the wood. I thought i would have to do some light sweeping but was surprised to not find branch/tree debris in my backyard, front yard, drive way or street.They were swift, thorough, efficient! They were able to cut the tree and grind the stump with no damage to our shared fence, sheds, or bushes around the tree.They were very friendly and courteous. They called ahead, reviewed logistics with our schedule, street cleaning, and where to park their vehicles. They also contacted our neighbors ahead of time with permission to use their backyard and block the drive way.I would absolutely recommend them as they went above and beyond expectations.

When our mature ash tree did not grow its usual leaves, we researched and called Arbor Ace Tree Service. We are so glad we did. Despite an unusually rainy season that caused a backlog of outside work, Mike and Joe made time to diagnose our problem and schedule our tree’s removal. They also stayed in touch during weather delays, and worked in between storms to remove our dead tree promptly.Arbor Ace used top-of-the-line equipment to carefully cut and lower the tree’s tall and heavy branches, which kept all removal quiet, neat, and safe. In addition to grinding our stump, they spread the mulch that was created over a muddy and barren area, improving our backyard’s appearance. An excellent job removing several trees from our property - we are very glad that we ended up selecting Arbor Ace to perform the service.I really liked both details and explanations during an estimate, the fact that we literally did not have to do anything - affected neighbours and the utility company were all handled by Joe and his team. I recently had to have a very large tree removed that was in between my house and my neighbors. Several of the companies I had come to give me estimates were reluctant due to the close proximity of the tree to both our houses. Mike and his team from Arbor Ace came and were both professional and confident that they would be able to to the job and were extremely fair with their price so I hired them . I was afraid that they were too good to be true. On the day they were scheduled to come, I unfortunately had to work but Mike assured me he would make sure things were done to my satisfaction but I was still worried. Ive had bad experiences with contractors in the past but I had no choice. During the time they were working on the tree, several of my neighbors called me at work to tell me what a great job they were doing and that they were very impressed by their attention to detail making sure both of our homes were protected from any falling limbs or branches. I arrived home just as they were finishing up and was EXTREMELY happy that the job they did was perfect! Not only that, both my property and my neighbors were meticulous! I was extremely satisfied with the work performed by Arbor Ace Tree Service .They did an outstanding job of removing and grinding out the stump of a large tree in my backyard that was difficult to access.They were professional, friendly and courteous and above all put safety first.They are a very efficient and well coordinated team that has all the bases covered.I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone as they exceeded my expectations with the excellent service they provided.

I recently worked with Arbor Ace to execute a landscape design for our backyard. We had talked with a few folks, but ultimately went with Arbor because we could tell Mike really knew plants—inside and out. Before we even started, we knew that the backyard would look fantastic, and come mid-summer, we werent disappointed. So, A+ for execution. But more importantly, my wife and I like details. Actually, we CRAVE details. So, were big on questions. And no matter the questions we asked Mike, he always took the time to answer us thoroughly. I feel like I didnt just get a great-looking landscape, but an Associates Degree in Botany. After my beloved street tree was severely damaged by my neighbors contractor, I knew I wanted an arborist to evaluate whether or not the tree could be saved. When I found out the reputable tree service the contractor initially called did not have a certified arborist on staff, I immediately called Mike at Arbor Ace.Mike went above and beyond in helping me gain the knowledge I needed to have peace of mind in making a decision about the fate of my tree. I called him on a Saturday afternoon and he immediately called me back after stepping away from personal time with his family. I sent him a bunch of photos of my tree and its injury and after studying them, Mike called me back with the best opinion he could provide given the circumstances. It was just what I needed to finally calm down about what had happened to my tree. Mike educated me about the tree species and, with that knowledge in mind, things to consider about the long-term health of the tree should we decide to keep the tree. Mike also factored public safety into his opinion given the high density of my town.I had been just sick over what happened to my beautiful tree and hearing from other tree services either cut off the damaged limb and secure the tree or cut the whole tree down with no explanation was so unsatisfying. I cant thank Mike enough for the time he took to educate me and to give me his expert opinion. I now feel more comfortable weighing the options and more confident in dealing with the contractors responsible for the accident and ultimately the City, which oversees street trees. Thank you Mike!! Yesterday our neighbors tree fell onto our property, crushing our fence and damaging our retaining wall. He answered the phone at 7:30 a.m. and I was shocked. He calmed our fears and came later in the afternoon to assess the damage. I had a holly tree growing against my house that I needed to have removed. My co-workers recommended calling Arbor Ace based on their experiences. Im glad I did, they did a fantastic job removing the tree and stump without damage to my foundation or roof. They cleaned up after the removal, every branch and twig. They even took the time to pet and play with my dog when she went outside to see what was going on in her yard. I definitely recommend them, I know if the need arises I wouldnt hesitate to call again.

Im not rating on the service. Im rating based on the quote that they gave me. They were trying to charge me a lot of money to cut my trees down. I had 3 other estimates and 3 other companies were going to do the job for more then half the price that this company was offering. Im sure they do a good job but i feel as though they tried to take advantage of the situation and to tell me how we have one of the only 4 cranes in NJ who can do this job the right way. Im glad I got other estimates. Normally I wouldnt leave a review but their offer was just terrible and I want people t know that you should try other companies for an estimate before committing to these guys
