A-1 crew came and relined my chimney with a new stainless steel double wall liner, put a new cap on the top and connected all to the heater. They cemented everything and sealed it all. They were efficient, cleaned up everything after. They even provided pictures of the new work. I am happy with them and would recommend them to others.

A1 Affordable was recommended to me by my oil/furnace provider. Over the years theyve done yearly inspections and cleaning of my chimney and installed a chimney liner. This year, on a routine maintenance call, one of the gentlemen showed me several pictures of the interior of the top and exterior of the chimney. Not a pretty sight (the roof is flat, so Ive never seen it). They recently did a rebuild and came back several days later to do a quick chimney sweep to get rid of any debris that may have fallen during the rebuild. Every gentleman from A1 thats worked at my home has been polite and professional. Theyve always left my property cleaner than it was before they got there. And, Ive never had any scheduling issues with the officestaff. I would recommend them and would not hesitate to use their services in the future.

A-1 visits each year to inspect and clean the chimney liner they installed. They work quickly and efficiently - cleaning and checking the liner from top to bottom. The technicians always greet us with a smile. Weve had them do other work as well (chimney cap & gap filling) and all of it was well done.

I needed to have the chimney for a gas furnace extended on a newly purchased house. They quoted me about 10x more than I was expecting, saying it was all trash and had to be redone. They told me I could add it to my gas/oil bill to pay it off over the course of several years (seriously, it was that kind of money). Shocked, I got a few other opinions from local plumbers who all said it was fine (as did my inspector) and agreed to the work at a price I was expecting. In the end I went with one of the other guys for literally 1/10th the price. Maybe because Im a woman they thought they could take advantage of me? Whatever the reason, shop around if you can.

Needed a 28 long, stainless steel chimney liner installed. My house is a cape cod with a very steep (45 degree) roof. A-1 sent out 3 guys who did a great job with the install. They finished up in less than 3 hours and thoroughly cleaned up when done. Price was competitive.

A few years ago they Inspected chimney and showed me damage, installed a liner, new chimney to water heater and furnace and chimney cap. Even fire inspector and Petro admired the work. They clean the chimney every year since,Highly recommend.

A1 originally came out for a chimney cleaning, but come to find out the liner of my chimney was in desperate need of repairs/replacement, and the vent pipe from furnace to the chimney needed replacing. There were also cracks in the foundation from the issue. Chris and his colleague (sorry I dont know his name) were thorough and everything was explained to me in terms I could understand. Everything was fixed and patched up within 2 hours if that and they did not leave a mess. Definitely recommend!

A1 came out the next day to give us an estimate to install a chimney liner. Unfortunately they were supposed to come at 9am and when I called to see where they were said they called and didn’t get an answer but we never received a call at all. They sent someone out later in the day. He was very informative and assured us he could come the next morning at 8am. Again no one came at 8. At 845 we received a call from A1 to check someone would be home around 9:30am to start the job.She said they normally start the day at 9-930 and didnt understand why anyone would tell us they could be at our home at 8am.Different guys (Martin and Marvin) from the day before arrived at 930 and were able to complete the job quickly and efficiently so we could leave for work by 11. The guys who did the job were amazing and so polite. They answered all of our questions without hesitation. We would definitely use A1 again despite the confusion with the times.

I found A-1 after I had another company inspect the insert in my chimney. Without the blink of an eye, the first company quoted me $1300. (Chimney Doctor) I reached out to A-1 and the friendly, professional worker (Chris) told me that it was a very simple fix that I could do myself. He did not a problem with a cap on the chimney and I had known there were some problems so I authorized the work. They were courteous, pleasant and fast. The owner, Sal, called to ensure I was happy with the work. I assured him that for future repairs, I will absolutely reach out to A-1.

They supposedly cleaned my chimney spring of 2020 and this spring when I looked at it, it was not done at all. They said that it accumulated over the year. I wish I could attach a photo of their supposed clean up. Was recommended by my oil company. I do not know why they would recommend such poor workmanship!!!

My husband and I used this company that was recommend to us to have our chimney repaired and they did amazing work. They had it done the day it was looked at and were very professional. We chose to use this same company when our ceiling began to leak and we knew we needed the roof repaired. Totally separate part of the house and not related to they chimney. Once the company looked at the roof and gave us our estimate we signed paperwork and were told we would be called with a date for them to come fix the roof. Since it is a big job they needed to find time in the schedule. Not a problem. What I didn’t like was the miscommunication between the workers, the home office and myself. We were told they would be out on a certain day to repair the roof and never showed or called to cancel. The miscommunication is not professional and should be handled better.UPDATE: Our roof is still leaking. Waiting to hear when a technician can come out to look at it, again.

These guys were great. We ran into an issue that involved a chimney rebuild and needed to get done right away. Mike was very communicative and answered all my questions regarding the work. I called on a Saturday and a technician came out pretty quickly. However, his ladder was too short to reach my roof so he promised to be back between 8:00 AM and 8:20 AM on Sunday. Around 9:00 AM I called the office a few times, but no answer. After 10:00 AM, I called again and a guy answered and said they do not work on Sundays. I had a leak and them not showing up as promised made the situation worse. They were unprepared coming to my house with a 22ft ladder. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking maybe they would come out on Monday when they open - I never heard back from them. I will never waste my time with these people again.

I made an appointment with them for a time but no one ever came. They gave me a window time which means they held me hostage all day waiting for the technician to come who never showed. I rescheduled and specifically asked for a time and was reassured that they would be there that time. They came on time the next appointment. My appointment was for 9am and it was raining really bad. I assumed they would reschedule because they had to work outside on my chimney but they didn’t. Halfway through the project they wanted to reschedule because of the rain. Why didn’t they just do that in the beginning. I was very annoyed and told them I didn’t want the job completed and they reassured me that it would be done that day. I allowed them to go on. They had to send another team out because the first team was too wet to continue the job. The next team completed the job at 5:45pm. I had no idea I would be held there for an entire day. The information should’ve been given at the start of the job. Over the next two days later I noticed my hot water wasn’t working. I had a plumber come out to replace my hot water heater because I thought it went bad but the technicians forgot to take my hot water heater off of DEMO! I was getting ready to spend a couple of hundred dollars for something that I didn’t need. Good thing the plumber was HONEST and didn’t charge me anything! I do not recommend this company. Too many situations for one job! Also the technicians can’t communicate with you because no one speaks English. I had to get calls from the office every time I had a question or needed information from the technicians.

Warning - Buyer bewareI found this company on Google and called to have my chimney inspected and cleaned. The team came out and told me I need to replace the duct immediately and that it would cost 10k. When I said I wanted to think about it, the rep got aggressive and tried to hard close me. I got bad vibes so decided to get a second opinion.A second company came out a week later and said they can do the whole job for 1K and said there is no rush.

Recently I was doing some homework and trying to find a chimney repair company in the area. I gave them a shot to come give me a quote. They were very efficient in communicating when they can come provide a quote and also worked around my schedule to do so. I was very happy with the price point and also found out that I would be able to receive a discount through my oil company.Later in the week the crew came to complete the project. Everything went very smooth and all my questions were answered. From what I’ve seen so far, the quality of the work is good. But like anything else I have to make sure that the health and structure of the chimney remain strong in years to come.Initially when I was reviewing the work that was complete, I noticed there were gaps in some of the pipes. In the photo I have attached you can see some of the gaps on the right side, however when I brought this to the attention of the lead team member, he immediately addressed it and fixed the issue.Also, they did me a huge favor and patched up the chimney piece that broke off because they were already mixing some cement on site.The reason that I cannot provide a 5-star rating is because of the follow up. About 20 minutes after the job is complete I received a phone call asking how the work was. I said that everything went well and I was very happy with it.Following that I had another phone call and a long voicemail left about an hour later. The following day I received 3 additional phone calls asking for my feedback and long voicemails. I finally answered and was left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth with the excessive phone calls during my work day.

I had a leak on my roof I called to make an appt. They told me next day between 9 to 5. It was a huge time window, but I really needed the service. I stayed home all day and didnt go to work, but nobody showed up! I called at 4:45 PM and they said sorry we can reschedule in two or three day from now. Really?? worst customer service, glad I didnt do business with them, if they couldnt make it to the first appt, I cannot imagine the kind of work they perform.

My service to replace my chimney liner was suppose to take place the day before its scheduled day. But because it was going to rain on the scheduled day I recieved a call from the office from a very nice lady asking if it was ok to start a day early.The guys showed up and was very professional and courteous. The job was done expediciously.The lead tech went over the work that was done and showed before and after pictures.Once they left I went down to my basement and it was spotless where they cleaned up.Thumbs up A-1!!!

I had to get a few chimneys relined on a few different properties. There prices were very reasonable and custom service is top notch. I have tried others but was not happy. I will stick to these guys. Also they are really quick and clean. So far they have been able to do the job on the spot.

We get a lot of work done on our homes. A-1 was recommended by our oil company to clean our furnace flue. A-1 showed up on time. They were very polite and very friendly. After a routine inspection, it was determined we needed to replace our interior clay chimney flue which was deteriorating. They showed us an interior inspection photo showing the wear and tear and, as this was our furnace flu, we were concerned of potential breakage and obstruction. A-1 recommended a stainless steel liner be installed and gave an estimate for the labor and materials. The crew came and completed the job on time and on budget. They were very respectful, professional, and did a great job. After clean-up you would not even know they were here. I had this company come and try to install a chimney liner and Chimney cap professionally, to which they failed. The liner was installed off centered and the Chimney Cap is the biggest eyesore in the neighborhood. I tried to get them to fix their poor workmanship or at least return some money to make up for their errors to no avail. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. They are not worth your hard earned money.

Called this company for a vital repair as my chimney needs to be reinforced. It was a complete waste of time, they cancelled my first appointment and never showed up for the rescheduled appointment. Reached out to A1 for a roof replacement / chimney liner. We talked pricing, a low end cost and a WORST CASE scenario cost. But somehow, someway, my roof was the once in a blue moon WORST, WORST CASE scenario and it would be an additional $2,300. So now my roof is already being ripped out and it is unsafe to continue on without agreeing to this additional work.What is the point of a WORST-CASE scenario quote if it actually isnt. They specialize in chimneys yet somehow the state of my chimney caught them by surprise.I give them 3 stars because they were quick and the workman ship appears solid. But the change in pricing was a tough pill to swallow.

We scheduled the chimney cleaning through our oil company, who uses A-1. There was a scheduling conflict with our first appointment, but we weren’t in a hurry. The customer service rep was friendly and helpful and worked with us to schedule a new time. When that appointment rolled around there was conflict on our part but once again the customer service rep worked with us and was able to get the service technician in later that morning who was also friendly and courteous. He and his co-worker did the job leaving their work area clean. We would recommend A-1 and will be calling to have our fireplace chimney cleaned as well

GET A SECOND OPINION. They tried to convince me I need thousands of dollars of work and even had a snide technician tell me that “carbon monoxide is nothing to mess with”. Then, when I refused to have the work done without a second opinion, they refused to clean the chimney my oil company (who seems to have a relationship with them) hired them to clean. I had another technician from a local reputable company examine my chimney and boiler and he concluded that none of the work they insisted had to be done immediately was actually required. One part would likely need replacement in 4-5 years and the rest was just unnecessary.

Last Sunday I called to setup an inspection appointment based off the recommendation of a neighbor and was contacted early Monday morning. The appointment was setup and I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which things were going. I was given a window of 9-5 which seemed a bit wide but chalked it up to the busy season and am working from home so no big deal. Thursday came-around 12:45pm I received a call from Mike speaking of a job taking to long and the inability to come inspect the chimney in person-still fine with everything and trying to be flexible I agreed to his estimate based off a report I had sent over Sunday evening. This was October 22nd. There was no real clarification on if they were 100% canceling the home visit-just a wishy washy estimation of a call back later in the day. To this day-October 29th I have received no follow-up call, no report and have even been treated as a little bit of a bother when calling back to see where we stand in our customer/business relationship. In a day and age where so many businesses are failing to survive-you would think customer service would be treated with the upmost care and integrity. I have been told by Brenda that it is an extremely busy time of year-which is totally understandable-but still doesn’t justify a complete lack of communication with a customer that most likely was willing to give 1000s of dollars in business for repair work that is already deemed necessary and needs to get done sooner then later. Though Im holding out hope that at the very least a call back is received, Im certainly not holding my breathe. As for the neighbor’s recommendation...I’ll let him know on Halloween...

I had my furnace chimney liner replaced and my fireplace chimney cleaned. These guys are great! They were very courteous and professional and the work was completed a lot quicker than I anticipated and their prices are very reasonable. Luis of A-1 went above and beyond for a basic chimney inspection. First he had to deal with an unpleasant neighbor, then with a broken window leading onto to the roof. He was generous, nice and helpful throughout. If more people were like Luis, the world would be a better place. But its nice to know those unicorns do exist. The chimney inspection was quick and easy (a requirement for new furnace installation) but Luis explained why it should be cleaned regularly and what happens with it although no longer in use. Your men came in the morning, cleaned the old chimney, and installed new metal liner and external cap on it. They finished the job in the basement from the heater to the chimney, cemented around the chimney entrance to complete a fine job. Even cleaned my other fireplace in the rec room.

Very reliable and hard workers. Guys worked their butts off to line my 109 year old chimney which was not a straight shot but had 2 turns and twists. 2 hour job took longer than expected but very professional, honest and insightful. Great job A-1 and Franky, Manny and Melvin.

What an unreliable company. I called them because I used them on my Chimney service and at first they seemed reputable. However, I had asked them about masonry work and they scheduled an appointment with me from with a 9-1 timeframe. They called an hour before 9AM and I was on an ambulance call and could not pick up. They cancelled my appointment and took having to call the office to get someone out there. Spoke with a supervisor and he had a tech come out. That tech simply took picture and it took a week and no estimate. I then was told an engineer had to come out for a second appointment. I again had an appointment between 9-1 and my wife stayed home and waited only to get a call at 12:15 that they were not keeping the appointment. I can only imagine how it would have been if I hired them. What a catastrophe this has been and caution people to stay away. I will also be calling the Better Business Bureau as well.

These guys came in ready to work...the fact that they were at it for 8 hours tells me they took pride in their work and made sure everything was right I know the job is dirty but they did an excellent job staying as clean as possible... if my wife cooked and fed them? then they did a good job. thanks A-1 affordable

Everyone I spoke with on the phone was polite and helpful. Very communicative during the appointment and service phases. The technicians, Luis and Chico were courteous and professional. They worked diligently, installed a new flue liner, and cleaned up everything when they were done.

They were prompt in arriving on time to get the job done! They were quick, and showed me what they completed when finished. All of my questions were answered prior to them leaving, they made sure I was satisfied. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

A-1 Affordable was highly recommended by my plumber the day he serviced by two boilers. I told him that my chimney liner was somewhat of a train wreck and that Id already gotten a repair estimate. He suggested that I try A-1 (his company deals with them on a regular basis) for a second estimate and Im glad I did. The job was completed in a few hours on the same day they gave me their estimate, and the work is really a cut above. The bill was almost $500.00 less than the other estimate and the chimney easily passed inspection. Shortly thereafter I called on them again regarding another somewhat strange issue concerning water (and stray cats) getting into my basement. Despite my erratic work schedule and the inclement weather, the job was scheduled and completed in less than one day, for a reasonable price. I will most definitely call on them again for some other repairs soon. Like any other construction company they are busy but it seems that there is always someone who will call you to address any concern(s) or problem(s) regarding their work. Thanks for reading. JC.

Not happy so far. About a week ago I had new gutters and screens installed. I also had some wood exposed at the top of one side of my house and I was getting several small leaks whenever I got heavy rain. Ralph is the guy who came out and gave me an estimate for the repair. He said he will just have flashing put in that area/side. Got heavy rain 8/17/18 and I heard noise that woke me up. Water was pouring in 1 of the 3 spots I use to get water in. I called the very next day 8/18/18 and spoke to a lady named Hazel she said she would contact Ralph. No one called me that Saturday or Monday so I called back today and,spoke to a different young lady. She put me on hold and said Ralph said someone will be out Thursday or Friday. I feel like if I didnt call today they wouldnt have called me and I also feel like this shouldnt have to wait until Thursday or Friday it should be a priority!! Heavy rain is expected tonight and my bedroom ceiling is going to get more damage after this. I dont like how they are handling my situation after they got my money and Im not satisfied how they do business at all.

In an unfortunate chain of events, a simple chimney cleaning for my new property turned out to be a whole new lining for the boiler to run out the chimney & then have it closed off. A-1 was on it the same day!They were very professional and worked tirelessly to get the job done in a single day even though the home is very old making the work much more intense than a newly built home.A-1 cleaned up all the debris, showed me pictures of the work (inside the chimney and on the rooftop) when completed and kept me abreast of what they were doing the entire time from start to finish. Above all else, the price was fantastic for such a tough job (I compared prices!). I will be using them in the future for any and all chimney needs. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Had my boiler chimney replaced and couldnt be happier with the work and customer service. They called me the night before and the morning of to confirm appointment and showed up exactly when they said they would. The job was completed within 2 and a half hours and cleanup was perfect. Val was professional and friendly and I would not hesitate to hire A1 again.

I had the chimney liner installed and followup cleanings. the Guys that installed and clean are very neat, friendly and respectful. communication from the time the appointment is made until after they leave after the job is completed is a plus. I would recommend A1 for sure.

These guys came out with less than 24 hours notice, on a weekend, re-lined both the fireplace and heating flues, and were done before dinner time. The workers were very professional, explained all the work, and left the house as clean as when they arrived. Highly recommend A-1

From the setting up to the the completion of work including the financing was a superb experience. What was suggested, was done in timely and efficient maner. Although it involved a large amount of debris, when they were finished you could never tell anyone had been there.

Very good experience overall. Chimney liner and cap estimate and work done same day. Lead tech was very professional. Took the time to answer all my questions. Price competetive and affordable. He was to get a crew to perform the work just an hour after the estimate. Second crew did a great job with installing the liner, cap, and patching the flue pipes going into the chimney. Work area left clean, very professional. I would definitely use them again for future work.

We’ve used A-1 for chimney liners and a follow up cleaning. First class both times the work area was left clean, with what looks like quality work. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

A1 exceeded my expectations. they repaired a retaining wall for much less money than other quotes. Nevertheless, the quality of their work was exceptional and was guaranteed. when after a few years the wall showed some cracks, they repaired the entire structure, exactly as they committed in the contract. they are polite, honest, get the job done and very dependable. I highly recommend them

No Stars is not an option but it has been the most frustrating dilemma with this company, we used them to fix our gutters around the house around 11 months ago. Everything looked great right until it rained for the first time 3 weeks after the install. At that point we realized how poor a job they did. We have tried on many occasions to get them to come out and they never show up (emails, phone calls). PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are UNRELIABLE and extremely poor consideration toward their customers. They have been paid in full you would think they would help you out and they talk to you about guarantees its all BS, its been 10 months and no one has even attempted to contact us to resolve our issues. Not worth your time find someone better.

Ralph and his crew were great to deal with from start to finish. The work was done properly and on schedule. I am very happy with A1 and I would use them again.

We had our chimney inspected & cleaned by A1 technician today. He was on time, courteous and very professional. He took pictures of problem areas on the chimney, gave me an estimate but never a sales pitch and no pushiness. I highly recommend!
