Professional Scam artists, budget engine is in cahoots with the repair shop down the street (express auto) and together they run scams on innocent hard working individuals. stay far away from these people. their work is less then amateur when at their very best. Horrible Messy machine work. shottie rebuilds, horrible attitudes and poor customer service. This company is just an all around nightmare who rebuilds motors with faulty parts and forgets to put the engines in the correct timing.

Extremely rude. Called for information on where I could get a flywheel resurfaced because they told me in the past they didn’t do that sort of work and the response I get back is “are you kidding me”? I laughed and said yeah sorry I forgot and after a few seconds the guy tells me and then hangs up. I’m not really sure what I did wrong since they recommended that shop last time and they don’t resurface flywheels but okay.

Ordered and got a re-man engine from them in just a few days. Definitely the lowest cost engine other than going used in unknown condition. Been happy with it so far. Wouldnt be back on the water if it wasnt for them

I got my long block 7.4 l here 5 years ago.I took the pan off just to check out the wear. It is still in beautiful condition after 100,000 miles.Highly recommend 🙂🙂🙂

I just recently purchased an engine from this place. I received the engine with a broken off valve cover bolt in the head (i have pictures). After the engine was installed and fired up, it blew the rear main seal and all the oil out of the engine. So i took it to a boat mechanic and he said it was clearly the engine builders fault...so i called the engine builder and told him my problem. They were very rude and didnt want to help me. Then they went behind my back without consulting with me. They went to the boat shop and took my engine back to their shop without me knowing, to fix the engine. I asked them if they were going to help pick up some of the labor because, if their rear seal didnt blow, i would not have had to take the engine back out... They refused to help me in anyway!! I do not recommend anyone to go to this place. They dont do good business. Very unsatisfied!

This shop was great, i had an old hard to find engine and they had 1 in stock. I ordered it on a Tuesday and they had it done on Thursday. They even delivered it to the shop that was installing it for a low fee of $50 and my shop was 50 miles from them. I spent a week searching for an engine and was thrilled when I found a local shop with by far the best price. In the event I need to replace another engine, Ill call budget engine first.

You were lucky only valve cover bolt..ALL head bolts were loose...they blamed me...3 days arguing..finally..i tightened them...jeff was as worthless.....
