I went in to have 4 corner speakers, a head unit, a sub and Amp installed and a new left channel ran. After removing my previous head unit which I was going to attempt to resell I tested it and it was damaged to the point of not working anymore. To add to this, the job they did installing the speakers was also shotty, having my system ground out on a multitude of times. First time it happened I brought it back in and the person jiggled a wire and fixed the ground. It has happened multiple times since and I have just done the same that he did. Recently grounded out my system again and no jiggling of wires can fix it, am bringing it back in to see what they can do to fix it and if they charge me for fixing their horrible job I will be beyond infuriated. Hands down dissatisfied.

Way over priced on what I asked them to do . Didn’t even mention the bumper and the trim I knew it was a lost cause and cut my looses so basically they charged me $550.00 to put in a mediocre alarm and dent my bumper and unplug a module. Stay away unles you got money to burn. Terrible Terrible Terrible.

I brought my car in on a Friday morning and asked these guys to replace the instrument cluster for an issue already diagnosed by the dealer. I also very clearly explained what the issue was. I heard nothing from them for the remainder of the day and had to reach out myself to get an update on the vehicle. Proactive communication does not appear to be a strong point. They ended up doing their own testing and had my car for the entire weekend and half the day Monday. They replaced nothing and solved zero problems with the car, but still charged me, saying they couldn’t reproduce the issue, but they still deserved to be paid for their time. The issue was immediately present as I was driving away and I called them to let them know, only to find out that they were testing all weekend for the wrong issue, despite my clear explanation. So, I ultimately paid for nothing and was without a car for several days due to their inability to listen. Do NOT recommend.

Next time y’all decide to change up the finish time on someone who dropped off their vehicle to get work done at 8am from early after noon to later in the evening because they called in and said they decided not to get it done and within 5 minutes later called back to say to say decided to do it after all, LET THEM KNOW instead of blaming it on the couple minutes of uncertainty like that actually is what caused the hours of delay in the first place. And don’t tell the person it’s no problem and everything is still as planned when they call back saying to get it done after all if you’re going to bump their expected time finished to the end of the day.Unprofessional. Thanks for wasting my day.

I wrote a negative review of this place and mysteriously it has disappeared. They were so particularly shady that I am coming back to rewrite the review.I needed a new CD player to replace the broken stock one in a 2004 Saturn Ion. I bought the Panasonic from them and they quoted me to install it and connect it to my subwoofer.First off, my schedule was very difficult and they were unable to schedule an appointment with me. What? So I had to just keep calling when I was off and hope that they had time to install it. Finally I find an open window.Dropped the car off, waited some time and got a call saying it was finished.Everything was fine for about a week until suddenly my subwoofer stopped working. I returned to the place to inquire why and the answer I got was that we were not aware there was a subwoofer in your trunk.A car audio technician - whose job is to install and maintain car audio - didnt know there was a subwoofer in the trunk. They then proceeded to attempt to charge me extra to get it fixed. I fought and the installer, Vince, said that he would simply uninstall the CD player and rip out all of the wiring he had installed already before I didnt pay extra. Finally after arguing for 5 minutes they finally said fine and fixed it.I suspect that recently they have been worried about reviews and have somehow gotten negative ones removed and padded their stats with fake positive reviews.I hope this review continues to deter people.

Review №59

Not the experience I was hoping for. I purchased a high end dash cam system (front and rear cameras) from Amazon and called them to arrange for installation. The system has two power solutions available: a small power controller thats adjustable for both 12 and 24 volt vehicle power systems with settings to stop powering the cameras when the vehicle battery drops to a certain voltage level, or an optional external battery pack which negates the need for the power controller entirely and only needs a switched connection to the vehicle battery to recharge the battery pack when the vehicle is running. The power controller was included in the bundle I bought but I opted for the battery pack since I wanted to keep the cameras powered on in parking mode for extended periods of time. I had already installed the battery pack and was using the cigarette outlet to recharge the battery pack as needed but I left making the hard wired connection to the fuse panel for the professionals to do. I explained all this to Wired Right, both when I initially called to schedule the appointment and again when I arrived for my appointment. I was told by the scheduler on the phone it would take about an hour or so to complete the work, maybe a little longer if they ran into trouble running the wiring for the rear camera. She did not tell me that my 8:00 am appointment was really just the time I was expected to drop the car off and that they would need to have the car all day. That cost me paying Lyft for an unexpected ride back home. The installer finally called me at around 4:00 pm. He was apparently confused by the fact that the original direct power controller solution was still in the box. I again explained that I wanted only the battery pack to feed power to the cameras and that it just needs a switched connection on the fuse panel to recharge it when the vehicle is running. He seemed to understand but what I got was BOTH power solutions connected to the fuse panel with the original one (meant only for powering the cameras) being used to feed power to the battery pack instead. I confirmed with the manufacturer that this is NOT a supported configuration and that the wires on the original power controller are not meant to carry the current for recharging the battery pack (i.e., a potential fire hazard). The battery pack also communicates via bluetooth with a smartphone app to show the current status. When I checked it after my daily work commute I noted that the input voltage was way below (9.4 volts) what it should have read (around 14 volts) and the battery charge level was still at 0% after a 45 minute car ride. I also noticed he had set the power controller up for 24 volts, not 12 and set it to an infinite run time (dead car battery, eventually). So I disconnected everything and called Wired Right. The installer tried to convince me that both power solutions could be used together and then sort of blamed me for leaving the original power controller in the box if I didnt want him to use it (both instruction manuals were also in the box). He eventually agreed to fix it and put the scheduler lady back on the phone. Ill have to take time off from work, drop off my car at 8:00 am and be prepared to leave it there all day again. I scheduled the follow-up appointment but after further consideration I really dont think the installer knows what hes doing. The significant difference in the size of the wires between the two power solutions should have been a huge clue to any experienced installer not to hook them up the way he did. Additionally, there were three different sized fuse taps included in the box but the two unused taps were not returned to me.If Im going to have to double-check their work to make sure they dont create a fire hazard then I may as well just fix the problem myself. They did a nice job of hiding the camera wires under the trim but the work they did otherwise was substandard and left me feeling unnecessarily inconvenienced and overcharged for a job I could have done better myself. I would not recommend them.

Je

Review №61

I took my car here to have a power window fixed and a power lock motor replaced. Midas on W117th recommended that I take it here. As far as service I would give them a solid 5 stars. They were able to fix the problems and offer some suggestions for future repairs that might be needed The reason I gave it 3 stars is because they neglected to tell me when I made my appointment that they have no customer seating area if you want to wait. I figured they would have mentioned that on the phone. So I was stuck having to walk down the street to a diner, spend more money and hang out there until the repairs were finished. So if youre taking your car here for any work make sure you have a ride back home because there isnt a place to sit and wait. It appears they used to have some seating as one of the pics shows some sort of stuffed chair or loveseat but its not there anymore.

Purchased a factory back up camera for my 2012 Tiguan over the internet. I really wanted a seamless look rather then an aftermarket camera. The one I got was suppose to fit perfectly into the truck of the car and be wired into the cars on board nav system. I called everywhere and every installer wanted to sell me a aftermarket camera rather then install the one made for my car! I even called the dealer where I purchased the car and they quoted me anywhere between 5 - 20 hours @ $117 an hour. Seriously!!Finally, I got a recommendation from the place that fixes my cars. Called Vince at Wired Right and he said no problem, bring it in. So I did. They did a beautiful job. Looks like the car was built with the camera. No exposed wires anywhere. The paperwork that came with the camera said anywhere from 3 - 4 hours by a professional audio installer. Wired Right did the job in just over 2 and charged me an even 2 hours at a discounted rate. Camera works great! Thank you Vince!!

I wanted to get the 2007 Mercedes that I just bought hooked up with bluetooth for my iPhone, so I made an appointment to bring it to Wired Right this morning to install a Parrot 3100. I knew that the car already had bluetooth, but I figured it was pretty primitive technology and wanted something more up to date. Also nobody at Mercedes dealer or Best Buy could figure out how it works and the manuals that came with the car are very unclear on telephone functions.Vince called me about an hour after I dropped the car off and said he found a way to save me a bunch of money - he figured out how the factory-installed bluetooth works. It is actually very easy to use, voice activated, all the bells and whistles, so I dont need the Parrot after all.He could have gone ahead, installed the Parrot, let me pay for something I dont need. i know next to nothing about car electronics, so Id have been none the wiser. It was very cool of Vince to call me back in and show me how to pair my iPhone with the Mercedes. If I ever need a car stereo or any other products or services that Wired Right can provide, thats where Im going!
