I have never lived in one of these apartments but I am a Cleveland native and want to help students who are looking for housing out. You can find a much better deal in little Italy or Coventry. I’ve noticed that most of the students who rent these apartments are not from the Cleveland area (a lot of them are international students); in other words, they’re not familiar with the area. Uptown and Euclid ave can be very dangerous place to live. You can find a much nicer place for a way better price by renting in little Italy and Coventry. More expensive doesn’t always mean better.

Uptown apartments is an excellent place to live in and call it home. The management is very responsive, the staff friendly and the decor and cleanliness extremely well maintained. No pests at all - ever! The staff are like family and will come to your rescue when you need it. We lived there for 4-5 yrs and enjoyed every minute of it. I would highly recommend this complex if someone wants to stay close to the hospital (UH or Cleveland Clinic or the VA) or be in the center of the CWRU campus.

BEWARE, they will not give you your security deposit back. They demand a $500 security deposit with application fee. They state that the application fee will not be refunded but they also will not refund the security deposit if you dont cancel within 24 hours. The purpose of a security deposit is to cover damages or missed rent when you rent an apartment, they are withholding it without having even rented an apartment. I am sure if this is how they treat applications, if you decide to do business with them it can only go downhill from there. Good luck and find another rental company.

You get running water occasionally and the elevator works sometimes too. Staff is friendly

After looking at quite a few different apartments in the surrounding area I can honestly say that these apartments offer a lot for great prices. The building is brand new.The management team is so polite and helpful. The communication is top notch.I can’t say enough about the maintenance team. I’ve only had a few small request and each time the issue was resolved the same day. Happy in Uptown Cleveland.

Beware of fake reviews on this property (i.e. Mr Awesome who reviewed two different buildings at the same time, obviously an account created by the developer/management/whoever has interests in the property).

Overpriced, unfinished sloppy construction, understaffed, limited sparce service. Their gym is just a treadmill and an elliptical machine placed in the hall facing a window. Trash shoot is undersized for any regular trashbag. No celling is installed, just exposed concrete, no floor trim, small closet with exposed concrete pillar occupying majority of closet space. Poor insulation, can hear every street sound & every neighboring undergraduate college kids embarrassing attempts at discovering themselves. Box shipments will be held at the leasing office for weeks, very difficult to retrive in their short hours of operation. Not for working proffesionals or families. An oversized unkempt unstaffed dorm is probably the best way describe. Place looks really nice from the street though. A modern potemkin village.
