Where are all the good brands for ladies like Patagonia, Columbia, North Face, Kuhl?They used to sell these brands.

Paid for shoes a while back but they didnt have the correct size in the color I wanted. I was told they would order them. They eventually called to tell me they wouldnt be able to get the color I wanted, but that they also wouldnt refund my money. I would have to get store credit... What?!... After speaking with a few people and complaining about their return policy, they eventually came to their senses and returned the money to my card.I dont know if their policy has changed or not, cause I havent been back since. Plus, I hated walking around feeling like their employees are hawking you thinking you might steal something the whole time.Theyre kind of overpriced anyways, so it hasnt affected me. I would rather support local places, but not this time.Hopefully things have changed for the better since then.

I went to the Powdersville store the other day to purchase some items and I must say that the employees were so great. Also, all the employees had their mask on which was a great sight to see. But, they greeted me as soon as I walked in and was just so helpful. So very nice to have a great local store in Powdersville like Elkmont. Tell that young man Daniel to keep up the good work—he was very helpful and knew so much about everything in the store.

Looking to purchase 2 pair of oboz. Asked if there’s a discount or percentage off for purchasing g 2!pair. NO! Only to discover a first time discount of 10% for first time buyer online.Needless to say, I did not get the shoes and doubt if I will ever shop there again. Staff is not knowledgeable, all too young to know about merchandise. Many of them acted as if they were above the customer!Sorry to say it, but don’t waste your time. Even sales area is a mess and over priced!

Just wanted to say thanks to Ken for taking the time to call me and discuss some kayaks at length the other day. I was going to drive up from the Atlanta area this week to look at some models but unfortunately (after further discussion with family) decided not to pursue the kayak purchase at this time. When I do, I will certainly drive up to Clemson, and will highly recommend Elkmont Trading Co. to anyone I know who is considering a kayak purchase.

Purchased a fishing kayak from these guys and let me just say that I highly recommend doing business here.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and more than willing to go the extra mile. I purchased several items from elkmont Clemson on December 23 just came in to return two items on December 27 and was told I could only get exchange or store credit. I wish this had been told to me at the time of purchase. I understand it is Christmas time and they are very busy and they think they tell everyone the policy but I wasn’t told this. Sad that 81.00 will cost them several thousand over my lifetime I won’t be back for product or food

Nice, well lit, well decorated and appealing to the eye. The prices sometimes seem a bit high, especially when comparing to online prices of the items, but the store owner is wonderful and very knowledgeable about products. The sales associates are also always very knowledgeable, cheerful, and helpful. They also offer a military discount, which I think is great.Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area!

Lot of high quality outdoor and CU things. Didnt have enough time. Saw some gift ideas. Got some locally made mint soap, good Columbia jacket at great sale price. Need to go back to check out the life vest. Look nice for kayaking

Great mountain ambiance. Everything from clothes to kayaks to fly fishing. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. One of the staff took my husband fishing after we bought our cabin. They used a kayak from ETC and he showed Steve the great spots around Clemson. We visit every time we go to our cabin in Seneca.

Had at least three employees welcome me and ask if I needed help with anything. One I already knew and had gotten to know, another introduced himself to me (which I thought was very kind), and the other put some shorts I wanted to try on in the fitting room for me while I looked for more pairs. Excellent experience, very pleasant staff, and a surprisingly good stock of outdoor equipment for its size. Highly recommend.

Its a fine shop. Clean. A bit overpriced as can be expected. Basic selection of gear. More of a clothing store than a gear store. Staff was nice enough. Courteous. Staff was not extremely knowledgeable, but could answer basic questions. No complaints. Nothing overly praiseworthy. A great place to go if you have lots of disposable income and are looking for a trendy outdoorsy shirt.

ETC is one of the more unique and enjoyable stores to shop at in Clemson! The staff are attentive and very helpful in finding the perfect gift or in locating the items you are searching for. The products they sell are more on the high end side of the outdoor market but there is something for everyone.

The staff is excellent. Limited menu but every item on there is made with top ingredients. One warning...dont order an appetizer for one person, it will feed a table full.

Ive loved Elkmont ever since it was Outdoor Adventures! Always quality, exciting things to look at and buy and the staff is always very friendly. Even though Im not local anymore, whenever I visit Clemson I always make sure to drop in. I also love to visit during their tent sales - my favorite score was a pair of five fingers for about $18! They have a good assortment of footwear, clothing, hammocks, kayaks, etc. Basically everything youd need to have a proper adventure!

Our whole family has been shopping at Elkmont for years. Weve always been treated with the utmost respect and have been warmly welcomed by the owners as well as the employees. They have a wonderful selection of merchandise at fair prices. If youve never been, you need to visit them soon!

Ive lived in the area for 4 years and just now discovered the Elkmont restaurant and bar. Their beer and wine selections are amazing. My family and I loved the food as well. Try the BLT and Pimento cheese sandwhich! In this age of franchises, the Elmont is a refreshing experience.

Had lunch and it was very good. This was our 2nd. time to eat there. Very nice atmosphere, very clean and we enjoyed it.

Went in close to closing time, I was expecting the employees to rush us out. Quite the opposite happened. They were courteous and even took us downstairs to show us some paddle boards. 5 stars for great attitudes and knowledgeable staff!

Great place, great atmosphere, top shelf products, and friendly staff. They carry top shelf items, so this isnt where you want to go for Walmart items. But, if you are looking for Yeti, Patagonia, Orvis or other top shelf outdoor products, this is the place to go.

I have never experienced the level of insolence like I just encountered. The unfortunate part, I believe it was one of the owners that treated us this way. I will not be going back because I refuse to support a company that treats their customers with such a level of disrespect; ESPECIALLY considering the amount of money one would spend in such a store.
