I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This company exceeded my expectations at every turn. Ive never seen such a hardworking crew. We had a big job and as the day got longer, additional crews were dispatched to help to ensure job was completed on time. Every branch, stick and leaf was removed and they left the property immaculate, tidy and beautifully groomed. My neighbors have already asked for their contact info and I couldnt be happier to share. Weve used dozens of tree services through the years but well never use anyone else again.

Had a 10 a.m. Tuesday appointment scheduled from when I first called Wednesday or Thursday the week before for an estimate. Hear nothing by 10:30, call office and explain. Still hear nothing 25 minutes later, call office and leave message asking whats going on? Will finally calls at 11:15 when Im in my car headed to the beach for lunch. To his credit he did apologize for a scheduling mix up. Not sure if I will give them another shot or try somebody else.

We were installing a new driveway and needed some professional advice to understand the impact on the roots of the adjacent oak. Will came out and was extremely informative and professional - answered all our questions and helped make a plan for moving forward. Will definitely call them back in the future and would definitely recommend!

We have used Pinellas Tree Service several times to trim our trees and have been thrilled with their work each time. Dan Fields, the owner, took a lot of time to explain to us why certain branches should be cut and why others should not. He is very patient (made a few trips to our house during the bidding process) and knowledgeable. His crew left my property clean removing all the debris. We highly recommend this company.

I hired someone else to do this job, when I was assured by Pinellas Tree Service that the workers could easily manage this job. The workers seemed to have no interest or knowledge in how to trim a tree surrounded by a FL native garden where the plants could not be trampled. The other company doing my job today are experts at protecting the landscaping. Pinellas Tree Service driving a tractor into my yard to do a simple oak tree trim? It was not necessary. The people doing the job today are up in the tree and using ropes to control where branches drop. I will not call Pinellas Tree Service again.

First class operation from the arborist who evaluated the project to the trimming/cutting/tree and stump removal teams. All the guys were eager to please the customer (me). I will definitely use this service again.

Pinellas Tree Service richly deserves a 5 star rating. I wanted to have a palm tree removed, but more importantly, I needed an extremely large carrotwood tree trimmed. A very knowledgable arborist came out first by himself to inspect what had to be done. He had a college science degree, and it was obvious from my detailed questioning, he knew exactly what he was talking about and what needed to be done. Some who call themselves arborists are basically chain saw operators. The quoted cost of the work was as expected even a bit on the low side based on my previous experience dealing with different tree companies. A convoy of different types of vehicles appeared on the agreed to date/time. The supervisor knew exactly what to do. The palm tree went easily, but the carrotwood required very extensive use of a hydraulic lift allowing the a very capable young man to maneuver 360 degrees around the tree and above it to make many cuts. In the middle of the work, there was heavy rainfall which lasted about 30 minutes. They stopped work, but began again as soon as the rain let up. There was a huge amount of branches and debris that was cut down and rapidly removed. Finally, the crew raked and used a blower to clean up beautifully. All the crew members worked hard, were very efficient, friendly, and professional. They simply knew what they were doing and did it extremely well.

We recently moved to the neighborhood and saw the great work that the crew was completing at a neighbor’s home. The timing worked out that they were able to jump on our project in the next few days. Beautiful, thorough work. Nice and professional people. Great tips on how to best manage the trees we have moving forward and the price was very reasonable. They identified our trees for us, and even introduced us to our neighbor! Highly recommend.

Beautiful, beautiful work. These guys know their trees. They recommended a crown cleaning for portion of a 100 year-old oak that hangs over our yard and it has transformed our property.

They did a great job in removing 2 low hanging limbs from a live oak. One was touching the top of the pool cage. It was a tight squeeze but they were able to get the work done and leave the pool screen untouched!

Numerous companies seemed ill equipped or even interested in doing our job as needed. One aforementioned company was even tactless during his quote appearance. Will, from Pinellas Tree arrived on time, was professional, understanding, competent, and communicative through the whole process. The team showed up and faced adversity from high voltage lines, to coordinating with Duke Energy, to significant weather encumbrances. In the end, these guys did an amazing job and I without question would recommend this company to anyone. They will be doing any and all of my tree work from here on out. Dan, the owner was and is very professional but more importantly, hes a guy who seems to genuinely care. I spoke to most of the crew, and each of them, were awesome.

Steve and his crew were amazing. They were professional from start to finish. They arrived on time with all the equipment needed to remove 6 queen palms and trim out sea grapes. They were extremely hard working and took great pains not to damage foliage underneath. After they cleaned up I literally would not have known they were there - except that the palms were missing. I would not recommend this company...Will that does the estimates has a way of turning everything around.He wrote up an estimate after I explained to him several times what I wanted done.They came to do the work and had to come back and do more because it wasn’t right the first time.not to mention they didn’t follow through with a tree Will said they would cut down some while they were up there, mind you they only cut one limb off...Long story short..he came back out and tried to cover up his mistake and had the nerve to say they would have to take the whole tree for more money. Honesty and Integrity is everything when running a business and this place is lacking that.Lesson learned! You can not trust this place.

They did a great job! They gave me a very fair price (lower than a few other estimates from other companies) and over delivered in terms of knocking out a ton of work in just a few hours and there was not one branch or leaf left behind from all the work they did. Cannot recommend them enough!

I have been using Pinellas Tree Service for over ten years, Jon Wilbur has always been fair with his pricing as well as discounting my pricing as a Veteran. The workers are professional and their work is the best. These people do their work as if the work they are doing is their own property. I have recently recommended Jon Wilbur & Pinellas Tree Service to a local business where the property was recently purchased by a new owner. The property was not kept up and when I contacted the new property owner to advise him of the lack of tree maintenance, he requested that I recommend a local tree service. I recommended Jon & Pinellas Tree Service and although the new property owner did not live locally he took my recommendation and spoke to Jon received a professional quote with pictures, his business license along with their insurance information. Their quote was accepted within 24 hours & on the same day that Pinellas Tree Service did the work for the neighboring business, they also did the work for my property that I had hired them for. The work for both our properties was exceptional. I could not be more satisfied with the result of their work. To anyone wondering whether or not to hire Pinellas Tree Service all you need to do is see the work they have done or read this review. My wife & I are retired and on a fixed income and although I have always done my research and looked at other tree services I have always stayed with Jon and Pinellas tree. The new property owner is now a new customer of Pinellas Tree and I am sure he is as pleased with the work as I am.

Fast and efficient! Hired this company to remove 5 trees and raise the canopy on two others. They arrived around 8 am and swarmed the house like fire ants. By 9 they had one of the trees down and we’re going to town on two others. They finished around 330 and left the property in better condition than they found it.I highly recommend!

I called Pinellas Tree Service, on short notice, about helping out with two large trees in our back yard. We were needing the work done quickly as we had a very large party scheduled at our house in a few days.They responded quickly and professionally, providing excellent service just as they had promised. They were even careful to go out of their way not to do any damage to our lawn. We couldnt be happier and would recommend them whole-heartedly.

Outstanding service, valuable advice from a certified arborist and a reasonable price. They thinned the dead branches out of several older oak trees and raised the canopy on a couple of younger trees. The trees look great and my lawn is healthier as a result. They even brought in an extra truck to finish the job quickly, and their clean up was outstanding. I would highly recommend them for any tree service or consultation.

I realize this now after finding and using Pinellas Tree Service.I have a massive beautiful old Oak. They had guys inside and out of this tree. Taking out dead wood and raising the canopy like I didnt think possible.Wouldnt use anyone else in the future.

I recently had a large storm damaged 34 inch in diameter, 35+ feet laurel oak removed that was located in an inaccessible area in the yard. After getting quotes and interviewing 3 other companies, we decided on Pinellas Tree Service, and we are fully satisfied with our choice. The job required a 70 ton crane that had to pull into the yard. They took every precaution to make sure my property was not damaged in any way. Based on my experience, I believe Pinellas Tree Service to be an extremely well run business. They have a very courteous and professional staff, from the person who answered the phone to the workmen on the job. They are very detailed oriented and organized. Prior to the actual job and after the cost estimate, there were two unsolicited subsequent visits out to my property to further assess and plan the job. What struck me that is not very common in this industry was that the workmen actually had pride in their work, and I felt, genuinely wanted to do a good job for the customer. The crew was very safety conscious as well, wearing the correct safety equipment and practicing safety techniques such as being tethered at all times when on a lift or in the air and using a whistle whenever anything was about to be dropped below. Lastly, I believe customer satisfaction is one of Pinellas Tree Services top priorities. The owner personally came out to check on the job and stayed through a good portion of it, pitching in to help his crew at times. When the job was almost complete with just the clean up left, the owner had to leave to go to another job. I wanted to pay him then, but he said he did not want payment until the job was completely finished, AND I was totally satisfied with the work. I did not expect that. The job exceeded my expectations. From start to finish it took about 5 hours. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. I was amazed at the professional performance by your crew. I removed my car from the driveway and truthfully it could have stayed there. Within five minutes, if that long, the tree was gone and they were grinding out the stump. I needed a large oak removed. The job was complicated because the center of the tree was rotten and there were two long branches that spanned my roof and my neighbors roof. I hired Pinellas Tree Service. It took five guys 10 1/2 hours to remove the tree! The team was careful, professional, and friendly. When they left, all debris (including leaves that had fallen before they arrived) was gone. I am very happy with these guys and I highly recommend this company!

We had Pinellas Tree Service trim our oak trees this week and they did a wonderful job! One of our oaks is a 100 year old grand oak with practically no access to it by truck. They worked all day and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. The men were courteous and professional; I would recommend them without reservation.

It was the best tree trimming experience. I have not had trees done and they were great to deal with. Neat, clean and make sure your property is picked up after they were done.

I understand that you need to do your job, but your large trucks take a neighborhood hostage and make it difficult to even pull out of the driveway. Perhaps you should stagger the trucks up and down a block better.ETA: Props for replying, but this was 4 years ago. Youd have been better off flagging me as a non-customer or asking me to update the review back then. If I didnt understand how difficult reviews are, responding 4 years later could have backfired for you. Im sure you all do great work.

They sent an arborist out to look and give me a quote. I accepted the quote and he wrote up the order as to what was to be done. Then the crew came and totally disregarded what the arborist wrote and did what they wanted to do. I told him that is not what we agreed on and he called the office. He did partially what we agreed on and that was that. He was mad that he had to do more work. I called the office and said I wasnt happy with the experience and that the crew didnt do what the arborist quoted. I also said I didn’t need to be in the middle of the dispute either. He didn’t offer a viable remedy. I told him I wouldnt need his service ever again and hung up. So beware of the bate and switch.

Upfront and honest. Even though they had to come out a 2nd time to finish one area they were very good about the follow up.

These guys backed out of a deal to remove hurricane-damaged trees at our home. Stringed us along for weeks while we could have been finding a more capable tree service to do the job. Use them at your peril.
