I am a client of European Wax Center in CT and actually became a client because of the great service I’d received at this location about 3 years ago. While on vacation last week, I returned to this location and the service was pathetic. The waxer rushed me through my services and refused to tweeze the stray hairs she didn’t pick up due to her poor waxing technique, siting she’s “only allowed to tweeze three hairs.” I had an injury near my eyebrow and told her from the beginning she would need to tweeze that area as my CT waxer did on her own using common sense that the area was unsafe to wax. I had to repeat again about tweezing the area which she begrudgingly plucked 1-2 hairs. She told me I had blackheads which was actually the short hairs that needed to be plucked that she refused to tweeze. I spoke to the girls in the front and asked to have the managers number to file a complaint due to the poor service I received. I was told an email was sent, 2 to be precise and that the manager would contact me within 48 hours. Four days later and nothing. As a die hard European Wax Center customer it’s upsetting to see one of their locations run in such a poor manor. It gives the whole franchise a bad name. I certainly never would have become a client if my first experience was like the one I just had there!!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

My entire experience has been wonderful. From the moment I called and was greeted very warmly by the front desk... to Amanda that takes care of me, I highly recommend this location to anyone. Amanda made my first experience so pleasant despite my nerves. She was careful and considerate, really taking her time to make sure I was comfortable. She explained everything to me along the way including what to expect afterward and over the next few weeks. My second visit was just as great. Talking with Amanda felt like catching up with an old friend and before I knew it, everything was done. I’ll definitely continue to be a repeat customer!

Once I had an issue with billing- from the front staff to talking with the manager, they were professional, kind and understanding.For the actual services, I have had a different girl every time, and each one was so engaging, professional, educated and made me feel comfortable. Shannon is the absolute best!! She is the first person to get my eyebrows right without making them uneven. She takes her time and makes sure she is as thorough as possible with my eyebrows and brazillian. I never have issues with missed hairs or it growing back too fast. Absolutely amazing service. Every step of the process was explained in detail. All my questions were answered and then some. The receptionists were both wonderful and made my experience coming in comfortable. This was my first time waxing and Amanda did a phenomenal job at reassuring me and putting me to ease. The amazing customer service experience started from the very first time I called in for more information. One of the girls at the front desk answered with a very delightful voice and promptly informed me that my very first wax would be completely free which was music to my ears as I am always very hesitant to try someplace new. That day I scheduled an under arm wax and got In that same day. As soon as I walked in the customer service continued I was welcomed with smiling, happy faces and was told my technician would be right out. Then my technician, Bree came and got me with the most positive welcoming personality I’ve ever experienced at a salon or spa. Once we got back in the room she was very informative on the entire process as to how European Wax Center is different than any other place I may have gotten waxed before. She explained each process and told me that as we were waxing she was going to explain what she was doing every step of the way. She was very quick and made it as painless as possible. She educated me on all of their skin care products, let me try some of them on my skin and sent me home with samples to try. Upon my exit I ended up purchasing an exfoliating gel and rebooking for four weeks later. I’ve been going to Bree now for four months, I have purchased 2 wax passes and I couldn’t be happier. The girl who gave me my eyebrow wax was Amanda. She was very nice but did not do a very good job on my brows. I just wanted the tails cleaned up and ended up with a really high arch and oddly shaped brows. They almost look like a long S. Not worth what I paid. Very disappointed.

Friendly environment. Stephanie B did my waxing and she was incredible. 100% recommend her! Very clean establishment and that is a must, especially when you’re getting waxed and you have open pores. Stephanie made it very comfortable and explained the whole process and gave tips for after the waxing.

I have been going to this location for over four years and let me tell you, DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR MONEY TO THIS PLACE. My wax specialist left (this is now my second one to leave) and so have MANY others! I have purchased wax passes for several years because Ive trusted who I went to. Now, most employees have left and you cant even get an appt for week outs unless you dont work and are available at a random time during a week day. If you do make one, they will just call and cancel it on the day of your appt.There is no management team or owner or corporate owner to help with any issue - they just send you to a website if you need anything. What a joke.

Today was my first time at the European Wax Center at this location. I normally go to the Tampa downtown location. I had a 10 am appointment and arrived at 9:55. A woman showed up that was scheduled for 10:30 was seen before me and as a matter of fact everyone was seen before me. It is now 10:18 am and I have still not been seen. Everyone was accommodated except for me. I have been a wax pass holder since I moved to Florida 5 years ago and have never had this happen. People kept getting seen and I kept sitting here. No updates no anything. I will never come back to this location ever. I work in healthcare and the service industry and it’s now 10:21 still not seen so I left. Worst experience ever!!

I have been coming here for a couple years now and the girls are all very nice. I get a wax pass that saves me $$ and always get a Brazilian and occasionally my eyebrows. I have the body exfoliating gel, the polishes and the hair serum .

She’s very understanding and it’s nice to indulge in side conversations to get your mind off of it. She explains the process and what to expect. My first visit to European Wax Center was with a different waxer and I was still finding strands of wax and small strips of missed hair on my legs the next day. I have never had this problem with Joanne. Ive always left 100% satisfied.

I had my first Brazilian wax done here! I called and was able to make an appointment the same day. When I went in the lobby was very clean and the receptionists were very nice and attentive. When I was taken back after only waiting maybe 10 minutes the room was really clean. I told the wax specialist that I was nervous and that it was my first time. She was very understanding and talked me through the whole wax. First, it did not hurt as much as I thought it was going to. It was also very quick. 30 minutes in and out! Also, my wax specialist was Sara. She was awesome. I have already referred 3 of my friends and am definitely coming back here.

I have been going to this location for almost 2 years and since the Pandemic it has all gone down the tubes! My wax specialist left and several others as well Shannon and Courtney and others! I purchased packages because of Shannon specifically and when I spoke with Alyssa the “Regional Manager” to book an appointment they were 3-4 weeks out and she suggested someone else now that person is also on a “medical leave”. I asked during my first call very professionally to please just refund me my money and let’s go our separate ways since we had a good run for almost 2 years prior to this. Alyssa will not do so “Due to some policy loop hole” even though my last payment just came out this month in June 2020 for a package I don’t want at a place I don’t want! I then asked to speak to the franchise owner and Alyssa stated they do not speak with clients?!!! What kind of owners don’t speak with clients that are upset and not happy with the service they are receiving at their establishment? All the responses on the reviews read from “owner” not from pompous regional manager so I am hoping the owner cares enough to contact me. Because if not every time I go to this location I will exercise my constitutional right of freedom of speech and let any and everyone know what purchasing a package at this location will mean! And how disgusting you will be treated if there is a pandemic, your wax specialist of almost 2 years leaves and the person they suggest themselves goes on medical leave ! How desperate does a business have to be no to just give someone that is this unhappy back their money and leave things on a positive? Why hold someone hostage this way?

New management at this location. Didnt bother to try and get a hold of me to try and reschedule. They say they called once. I dont have a voicemail when I showed up for my appointment they told me they were waiting for me to call back. As a company you should have tried more than once to get a hold of someone. When i arrived they didnt have time to keep my appointment. There is an app, email and a phone multiple ways to get a hold of someone.

My first experience was less than pleasant. My second experience here was awesome! Joanne is the waxer I had the second time around and she is the best. She is very knowledgeable, experienced, and she made me feel very comfortable. Better schedule your appointment before she gets all booked up!

I went to EWC for the first time today at this location for a full Brazilian and underarms. I am not a stranger to waxing and even get it done personally at home by my significant other.Service: The staff were welcoming and friendly but I definitely can see the push for sales. The business model is in and out, fast and quick to maximize their earnings potential. I am used to going to spas for waxing if I do not do them at home. I am used to a more personal 1-on-1 experience where I do not feel rushed. Kayla, who performed the service, was friendly and efficient. She moved quickly and tried to distract me with conversation during the wax.Environment: The establishment is clean. The front end is a little small and cramped, and today there was a gentleman soliciting for donations to a non profit organization for children. Not something I would expect to encounter when getting a wax. The room was small with little decoration or aesthetics for calming the nerves for anyone who is not used to getting a wax.Experience: This is where I have to remove stars. Before my wax I asked if they also do the back strip as some establishments do not include that in a Brazilian wax. She said that they do. I wish I could include pictures but that would be very explicit. While she did get my cheeks, I still have a whole spot of hair at the tailbone that was not even touched (this part is in between the cheeks). Im pretty upset about that. In addition, there was so much hair left on my upper inner thigh that is part of the bikini area. I do not understand how so much hair was left over not in just those spots but also on other parts of my private area and bikini line. Now, Im heating up wax at home to go over it.As for my underarms, the wax was quick and she did some tweezing. After coming home, I could feel hair left over but I know that area can be difficult so I may shave.I wanted so badly to like the results and this experience. They definitely are being true to their word about their wax not being painful. That was a high point.Overall though, Im not sold on coming back again. I did schedule another appointment as I paid, but I will most likely call back to cancel. This time, I paid a discounted amount for being a new customer; but if this is what the expectation is, I wont return to pay full price. Instead, Ill wax at home or go to a day spa.

What I hated:-It was cold in the room.... Like ice cold.-Not warm or welcoming... Really I have to lay on a piece of paper on a hard table like Im going to the doctor?-I hate being sold to. They do nothing but try sell their overpriced products to you. The entire time she talked about nothing, but the products. I felt like I was at a timeshare meeting. Then after I told her no to the products she STILL put it in the counter for the receptionist like I was going to buy it. SO UNPROFESSIONAL.-she took like 45 minutes to do my wax .... Ive never had a wax take that long. She waxed the same spots over and over again until it was actually really starting to hurt (more than usual).What I liked:-its closer to my home, but I have decided that Ill take the longer drive to Seminole where I get the best wax ever and never feel like Im at a timeshare meeting.So long European Wax Center!

Lovely people working here. I went to a different place that told me that getting a bikini wax would hurt, then went here and they told me that they use a special wax that doesnt hurt that much. It was true, I thought it would be a horrible experience, but it wasnt and Im very happy with the results
