We had an absolutely fantastic time! We chose to book the boat privately, the cabin had air conditioning and a bathroom for the boat we chose. Capt Merrick texted me the night before and we talked about the best time to leave so we could catch the most fish. We caught 15 in total. Boat side the Capt fillet the fish and cut pieces up into “sushi” he had poke sauce from a local restaurant and we were able to sample our fish right there! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and hugely accommodating. 10/10 I recommend and cannot wait to go out with them again

Legendary Adventures lived up to their name by providing our family with the most epic, memorable experience that will be fondly reminisced about for years to come. The nighttime predator fishing charter was the pinnacle of our visit to Clearwater, FL. My boys (5 & 8) wanted to deep sea fish so badly on our trip but I knew that taking small children out at the crack of dawn, miles offshore, in the suffocating Florida heat for hours on end, for fish they couldnt possibly reel in themselves had disaster written all over it. When I stumbled across a 4 hour, close to shore, evening charter that targets sharks...for my shark loving boys....perfection. I would have called it a success had we caught just one shark while enjoying the amazing sunset. Instead, we caught (and released) 13 sharks (3 different species), a huge stingray and a monster Goliath Grouper (still in awe)! The action was constant and has certainly spoiled us for future charters! Captain Tommy and his mate were beyond wonderful with my kids. Patient, knowledgeable and knew how to make everything fun! If youre questioning whether bringing children near sharks is a good idea - put the thought out of your head. Safety was a top priority and taken very seriously. I cannot recommend Legendary Adventures enough - especially the nighttime predator run. It was memory making at its finest! Thank you!!

We saw several dolphins and they were riding the wake of the boat! We also saw a fog roll. This was spectacular and the captain knew exactly what to do! I had never been deep sea fishing before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My family and I went together for the first time over our vacation. My family as well as myself had a wonderful time. The guides were extremely helpful and showed us some of their tips and tricks while fishing. The weather was nice and we caught some fish at the end of the day. Update. We went again with these guys and had another great day of fishing. My daughter had some much fun both times that they used a pic from the trip as their wedding save the date. We are heading back to Clearwater in Sept and will be back on board.An Epic day of fishing. I have been on over 25 charters though out Florida and the Bahamas and Merrick and Weston are top tier. They worked hard to help the kids know what to do and gave the more experienced room to fish. We only were out for 4 hours but we caught more than most full day trips. Everyone had a wonderful time and is still talking about it 4 days later. No matter your experience level these guys will make sure you have a wonderful time.

Amazing day! We came to Clearwater with my 5 and 7 year olds goal of catching one fish ; true fisherman at heart. Huge shout out to Captain Merrick and Mate Weston for helping them achieve their goal, and then some! They made great decisions to move around, when needed, and put us on the fish. We doubled up a few times and trippled up once. The boys first ocean fishing experience was as close to perfect as it could be and everyone onboard was blessed to be apart of the day; Dolphins trailing the boat in the bay, ripping Blue Runners lips in the shallows, Spanish and King Mackerel slaying in the deep, and hand feeding scraps to the pelicans at the dock. The boat was very clean, big enough for us to move around easily, and very comfortable. We will be back.

Had my first deep sea fishing experience with Merrick and Weston on The Legend boat. We caught so many fish our group could hardly keep up with all the reels going off. We had a blast fishing with them and sharing stories. Also got to eat fresh filleted sushi on the dock and had plenty of fish filets to take home. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to deep sea fish as they have all sorts of trip lengths! Our whole group is already thinking about our next trip out with them!

Best Fishing Charter I have ever had (20 + runs over the years). We caught our limited of great size King Mackerel and big fat Groupers. Over 50 fish were brought back to the dock, the Captain took over 2 hours to clean and package our catch. We had a fishing trip of a lifetime with Merrick and Weston. We have been many times and never had this great of an experience. They taught us a lot about the different type of fishing and were so knowledgeable. We caught over 30 fish in 4 hours and who knew we would catch the biggest fish of the trip on a McDonald’s straw! We will definitely be back. A perk we didn’t even know was included was they filleted the fish and we got to take them home. Definitely worth the money and make sure to ask about dock sushi!

Great day of fishing. 8 hours went by so fast. The Captain and 1st Mate were very accommodating. If the fish weren’t biting well, they would move to another spot. Very little down time. I caught more fish that day then in my entire life. Can’t wait to do it again.

My time on the boat with captain Merrick and his deckhand were 4 hours well spent. Both were very knowledgeable on what fish you would be catching, how good the fish is meat Wise, and how to catch them. Also they were both very friendly when it comes to questions they have probably been asked 100+ times in their carrier. The boat was very clean and taken care of, when it got hot I could just go into the cabin and cool off while I waited for the fish to bite. Although my group did not catch any big fish, they still made the trip enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys fishing, and the ocean.

Captain Merrick and Westin were so knowledgeable and fun to spend the morning with. It took about a hour to find the fish but once we did, every reel was going off at the same time. Fantastic trip! The crew were knowledgeable and focused on our every need. These guys put us on the fish and we’re absolutely rocking to keep us baited and having the time of our lives. We trolled and caught some great fish and then went for shark. The finale for the day was a 6 foot 350 pound Goliath Grouper!!!! It was a first for all of us for deep sea fishing and it made for a lifetime memories!Next time time I’m in Florida I’ll be jingling these guys for a repeat!

First time on the open water in my life and this place made it a wonderful experience. We had 6 guests in our party and all enjoyed it very much. The captain and his deck mate was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We caught a lot of fish on our 6 hour adventure. I will be booking with them in the future and recommend them to anyone looking to have a great time and feel safe on the open water.

We ended up doing the 1/2 day morning charter and had a GREAT time. We landed tons of Spanish mackerel and hooked a few barracuda. Captain Merrick was terrific not only with managing the trip but also teaching us all about different fish, birds, the waters we fished and more. To top it all off we saw dolphins and saved a small non-water bird who was struggling as we headed back to shore. Lots of memories and would go back again and again.

Captain Merrick and Nick exceeded all expectations with our 6 hour trip! We were constantly catching fish, and if it slowed, Captain Merrick moved us onto a new spot and the action started right back up again. Nick was on the ball with unhooking fish, baiting hooks and kept the jokes coming! Spanish mackerel, barracuda, grunt, snapper, and grouper, we caught it all! Hands down would recommend to anyone!

It has been a lil over a week since we had our adventure on the Legendary and my husband has still not stopped telling anyone that is willing to listen. I went out yesterday with 4 of my friends and one of their Dads w/ Calvin as the captain and Christian as first mate and had an epic day! They put us on fish all day - we caught Bonitas, Amberjack, a few Grouper, and limited out on Red Snapper. The boat is awesome and the experience was one of a lifetime. I caught my first fish ever today, fishing with Captain Jon and his first mate Weston. Not only did I catch one but four. They were so helpful and know the waters well to make sure you catch fish and enjoy the day. Very accommodating to our large group.

Yesterday we went on our first ever sea fishing trip. Man what a time we had. The crew was knowledgeable, awesome and really wanted to make sure we had fun. I booked this charter for my husband’s family and let me tell you how much they loved their trip! They can’t stop talking about the boat, the fish and the crew. It was a lot of fun and deckhand had an excellent sense of humor which made it even better. We caught a nice amount of fish that we later fried up for an awesome meal. I thought that the hours we would be out there for would feel like forever, but it went by in a flash of fun!

I chartered the Legend II 36 Yellowfin on 5/31 to go out to the Middle Grounds on a 12 hour, the day before American red snapper and gag grouper season opened. Misty, who handled our booking, was as friendly and informative as we could possibly have asked for in the weeks leading up to the trip. Due to lodging and flight limitations, our group unfortunately could not schedule on opening day, so I was somewhat apprehensive about how things would go. Let me tell you something: we could have been fishing blindfolded, upside-down, in the dark and Capt. Tommy still would have put us right on top of the fish we were looking for, every single time. People BS all the time about every stop, every drop trips, but this was actually one of them. I have been fishing one other time out of Clearwater, and on this trip with Legendary we literally caught triple the fish with a group half the size. We limited on red grouper by like 2pm, and caught a ton of good-sized mangroves, in addition to vermillion snapper, scamp, multiple varieties of porgy, etc. Hooked a blackfin tuna on a flat line that broke off about 5 feet from the stern. Even more astounding, I think between 6 of us we reeled in maybe 2-3 out-of-season fish the entire time. Capt. Tommy and relatively green first mate TJ are consummate pros; they worked their butts off and helped our first-timers out at every turn. These guys are true fishermen that clearly enjoy their time out on the water. I would put Legendary Adventures toe-to-toe against any other charter out of Tampa/Clearwater. Highly recommend.

We booked a 12 hour trip weeks in advance and we’re not taken out on the day of our trip. The captain showed up 30 mins after we were scheduled to depart, the boat did not have any fuel and the mate smelled terrible. The captain then told us the boat did not work and he could not take us out and we needed to reschedule. This was at 6:45am when we were told to arrive at 5:45am! Talk about disappointing.We spent 3 hours on the dock before we could find another boat to take us out.Our experience with Legend Carter’s was awful and I will never use them again. I have been out with many different charter boats and captains in the area and this was the most unprofessional operation I have ever seen. I would have given them zero stars if that was an optionI strongly recommend going with another charter boat.

Great day on the water with John and Jake! They worked it hard trying multiple spots until we found the fish, and we did. Most guides short you on time but not John, we had to drag him off the spot because fish were hitting but our group chartered both boats and some people had time constraints. John said if everyone is okay with it we are staying here as long as possible and we will run hard to get you back in time so we all agreed and comfortably sat in the provided bean bag chairs on the way back in as he ran the 36 Yellow Fin full throttle getting us back just in time with a tons of fish, limiting out on our catch! Will definitely book this charter again!

Great fishing trip! The captain was really knowledgeable and gave us all kinds of tips on catching fish in the rough weather and we stuck with it. The first mate was on top of it too we never had to worry about being out of bait and every time we stopped we were on the fish. If you are from out of town and want to catch a lot of fish these are the ones that will get in done!

Spent an absolutely wonderful day on the water with Captain Wes on the boat the Legend. The Captain had the boat cleaned, stocked, and ready to go when we arrived. He was extremely friendly and informative about our days plans. Every stop throughout the day was a success and the group came back with plenty of fish. Hands down Legendary Adventures is top notch from start to finish. Large deck with plenty of room for entertaining a large group. Crew was on point with taking care of everything quickly. Cabin is large and roomy with air conditioning to cool you off on hot days. I will definitely be back out on this boat soon!!

Friend booked a 6 hours charter to go fishing in a gorgeous Friday never did we know it ended up an amazing and enjoyable day of fishing. 1st as soon as we got to the fishing area, dang mackerels started to bite non stop. I have to applaud our 1st mate. He was on top of things......talk about multi-tasking....he did a tremendous job on keeping the fish coming to the boat. The captain was great which kept us entertained the whole trip. I cant enough of this crew and the trip we had. I am recommending you to my client as well as my peers to book your company. One of the highlights of our trip to Florida!! Out on the boat we saw a shark, jellyfish, and dolphins. The crew was very knowledgeable and the boat ride was enjoyable. My brother and father loved the fishing while my sister, mother, and I liked seeing all the ocean wildlife. Great family entertainment and worth every cent! Can’t wait to eat our fish.

It was my first time fishing and i could not have asked for a better experience. The captain and deckhand were so friendly which made the experience ten times better. To top things off we were able to catch a shark and a baracuda!!!

My bother booked this charter and we took his 3 boys out. The fish weren’t biting much but we got 3 and just enjoyed the view and relaxing boat ride. The crew was amazing and even waited for us as we misjudged Florida traffic during spring break and we were late! Would love to book this charter again the next time we are down there.

Took the 6 hour charter. One hour out, four hours fishing, one hour back. Great experience. Caught enough fish for several fish fries. Delicious. Everyone back home loved it. Captains were right on everything we needed, including pro fish cleaning. Would absolutely go with these guys again, but probably the 8 hour or longer next time.

Second time I have been out on the water with this charter company and once again did not disappoint! The vessel has a very roomy and cool cabin where you can hangout while making the trip out to or in from your destination on those hot sunny days. The fishing deck is also very roomy where multiple people can stand comfortably and catch fish. The boats crew are very nice as well and you can tell that they enjoy giving people memories that they won’t forget! I know I definitely will not forget this day, I caught many great fish as well as one of my bucket list fish that I thought would take me YEARS to catch!

We did a 7 hour fishing trip with Captain Merrick and First Mate Weston, and it was an absolute blast! If you are looking for great fishing along with an all around great time I would 100% recommend Legendary Adventures LLC. These guys worked their butts off all day to make sure we caught as many fish as possible. We were able to catch a ton of Spanish Mackerel, King Fish, Little Tunny and even a shark! If we ever end up back in or around Clearwater for vacation we will 100% go back out on another charter with these guys!

Its a very comfortable (AC!!!) and clean fishing yacht. The Captain and the First Mate were more than helpful and with cheery spirit and great attitude. (Hard to come by on other boatst, trust me.) We targeted good eating fish per my request, according to the time of year and current conditions and we succeeded! We caught plenty of fish and had a great day on the water. Book this charter!

Merrick and Weston, did an excellent job taking care of us and putting us on fish. Weston prepared all the rods while Merrick put the boat over the fish. Absolute blast yesterday catching King and Spanish Mackerel. Wesley and Kyle took a bad day of weather and made it a great day of fishing. No other charter to use in Clearwater Florida. We will be back as they worked great with he kids and everyone caught fish.

We booked the Legend with a Cabin. I took my 8 and 9 year old kids. We had a blast caught several different fish. ended up finding a honey hole and caught enough keepers to feed 4 of us. It was such a great trip I booked the same boat two days later!!

It was my first time going deep sea fishing and they were great. It was the most fun that I have ever had fishing.

Best fishing trip of my life, hands down. Jesse our first mate was very tentative to our fishing needs. Merrick captained flawlessly, I have been sick many times before and I felt great with him at the helm. I would highly recommend, we were catching fish like crazy!

Captain Merric, and first mate Westin did a fantastic job. Little to no time without lines in the water. They had great communication with other successful captains on the water to put us on the fish. They had a full Arsenal of lures and Approaches to find and catch more fish than our groups limit by the mid point of our excursion. Very good usage of time to target several different species. At one point we had 3 large king mackerel on at the same time! Which didn’t even phase the crew as we swiftly landed all 3 fish. Our vessel “the legend” had a huge fishing deck with great amenities. After our 7 hour voyage we celebrated our success with fresh tuna sushi at port form our days catch. I would hands down recommend legendary adventures to anyone looking to fish the Clearwater area.

Great time captains made the day, we caught 5 different species from prey to predator. Definitely looking forward to coming back..
