Absolute junk do not buy anything from here they are overpriced and poor quality products. I had problems with my needle and seats sealing that where brnad new I took them out and cleaned out the seats that had brass shavings in it. Then put it back together run it for five minutes and this is what I get. Get oem with ski parts guys dont buy sbt.

I bought a used Seadoo Jetboat & unfortunately found that it has a blown cylinder. During the process of ordering parts to fix it, I found many people suggesting the quickest & best option was order a rebuilt engine from SBT (which had many good reviews).So, after looking into it, I found that this was possible for about $900.00, with a 1 year warranty.When I ordered the engine, SBT told me that they had none in stock and delivery would take 4-6 weeks (I was very disappointed with this, because summer would be over, by the time I could receive & install the Engine)!Much to my surprise the engine showed up in less than 2 weeks!I was able to get it installed in time for my vacation.SBT was very responsive & supportive throughout the process.They made it a lot easier than I anticipated, to swap out the engine, in my new Jet Boat! Ordered online ,received a phone call to tell me that if any damage {crack or hole} on the cylinder head core whey will not sell me one..with one stuck valve i prefer to keep my cylinder head and apparently the waiting list is 6 to 8 weeks..terrible and kinda rude, i cancelled my order ..

Beware of scam company. The company posted on their website pictures of original parts and send you cheap aftermarket. I called and spoke to Cliff from returns and he told me they the products are ok from their POV. Just as example, the carburettor rebuild kit (picture on their site AND the products used in their demo video (where their employee shows you how to rebuild carb) is original from Mikuni, red dot on the diafragm). If you order it you will receive a cheap aftermarket. Called Cliff and his only explication was i will let the webmaster know to change the picture ... They are scamming customers this way. Second, i got a seat and needle and they were HEAVILY corroded ... I did not even open the box sent a picture to them perfectly normal if you clean it it will be ok Cliffs answer. I installed the seat and it leaks pressure as it is corroded inside as well where the needle sits i has to use my old seat for the carburettor. Beware of these scammers. If you want THEIR products go get it from amazon or ebay at a fraction of the price (paid 100$ with duties and taxes, same producs on ebay 15-20$) If you want original parts go somewhere else. Very bad experience.

I trust this place. I order my cable and it arrived quickly. Unfortunately I messed up and ordered the wrong one. Figured it was my fault and thats it. I got a customer satisfaction survey by email after my cable arrived, and I gave them good marks for service but I mentioned that I totally botched what I ordered. A couple of days later they reached out to me saying that they would take the cable back and refund 90% of my money. Got the money back today! And I never would of if they werent going out of there way to make sure customers are happy. So keep up the good work SBT and like I said , I Trust this place.

Love this place great people and I myself as a repair shop (pinned up performance and repair) only go there for my parts.

Our experience was frustrating. I sent pictures to make sure I ordered the correct part, but never heard back. My son placed the order, and entered our incorrect phone number. they tried calling - didnt get to us, so they just dropped the order vs emailing us. I eventually called and placed the order, but when we finally received the part, it was damaged, so we had to return for another part. Eventually we received a part, but the process was frustrating.

Great place to buy a jet ski engine or part. I live in the west but it was easy to order, fast shipping and they have a knowledgeable sales staff. Ordered a engine a week ago, never had put one in before, asked a couple of questions during the installation (they provide a detailed installation guide) and now it is installed. Easy to deal with, reasonably priced, overall a GREAT experience.

Also Will helped us out by printing out parts of the manual and was willing to help with any questions. He works in the back of the shop but went out of his way to come to the front desk and assist us. Got all the parts we needed for jetski rebuild here too which was convenient!

So far very happy. Placed my order of a Polaris 700 engine with extras.Shipped the same day and arrived in 3 business days by fed ex and sent the core right back.No hassles. Case Description:SBT and Sales Staff uses unlawful practice of using customer owned parts as a resell item. They use a customer owned part as a way to up sell customerI sent my motor to SBT under the terms of a rebuilt motor. I was instructed and completed certain steps to complete the rebuild. I completed SBTs criteria for a rebuilt motor and even paid for full shipping round trip. SBT didnt complete the terms of the agreed service and changed there policy on rebuilding my motor verses a OEM replacement motor. This was not the agreed terms and was changed. This was confirmed by a sales manager Justin. One of the biggest concerns for any consumer is the practice of removing a part and reselling the same part to the customer. Per SBT reman engine policy whatever is not stripped off the motor is discarded. But what is really done is those parts are resold to customers as new/like new parts. SBT charged me $29.99 for my own PTO coupler. Which I have picture documentation of. I would like for SBT to refund me all extra parts they charged for and also include an itemized list (as previously requested) of all things removed off the motor. I will continue to reply to this matter until SBT is willing to stop these unethical business practices.

I Ordered traction mat. Great price. Same quality as original. Without the original parts high cost. It was delivers earlier then was told. The product was short a piece.I called customer service. They were super helpful and friendly. They got me the piece I was missing in a very short time considering it had to be custom cut.This was a company I will reccomend in the future to friends.

Well so far I have installed 9 new SBT Seadoo 4tec engines with ZERO issues! I did have some problems with rebuilt 4 stroke engines I bought in the past, but as for the new engines they just came out with, I have had none! Keep it up SBT!

Great Company to work with, willing to help. I had to buy cylinder jogs for a 2002 Polaris Virage. This was because another company sold me the wrong parts and could have destroyed my motor instead of fitting pistons and taking my jogs that i have to a machine shop i looked for new jogs with pistons thats where SBT came in I found them online and before buying anything I called and right away there was a difference. nice people to help and very informative. they fit me with new jogs and pistons and they installed no problem and got the ski out on the water. had fun building and riding. Differently will do business again.

This business is absolutely terrible at providing accurate information as to when you are expected to receive your order. My husband has ordered engine parts on 2 different occasions from SBT and received and 8-10 day time from on when the parts would be shipped. This did not happen. To make a long story short, it took over 1 month to receive the items on both orders. Why do you give your customers a shipping time frame, when you do not stand true to it? The least this business could do, is to notate that shipping time could be longer than the time frame given. It is highly annoying and frustrating. Oh and wait, the problems don’t end there. We have had MANY other issues as well. From being told that they never received confirmation of our order (even after confirming it over the phone) apparently the sales associate didn’t “notate the account” that we did confirm, so we ended up waiting and waiting for our parts and had to call them again to see what was going on. Ridiculous. The most recent order, parts were missing from the box we received and we had to call and tell them even though the shipping receipt indicated the items were in the box. Their response was “ Oh, that’s strange because I don’t even show those items in stock, so it will be another week or 2 before we can ship them out.” Wow!!! The problems don’t end there. Yesterday, we noticed a $25 unauthorized charge on our account that was from SBT. After calling a speaking with an associate, she indicated that it was due to us not sending the cylinders back in their timeframe, so they charged us a late fee and it was “in the contract” that this would be charged if we didn’t send them back within 2 weeks. First off, we never received a “contract,” second, you were extremely late in sending them to us, and third we were told by Sebastian that SBT would give us a call prior to being charged to see if we needed more time to ship the items back. We never received any phone calls, and had an unauthorized charge. Give me a break people. This is terrible customer service on all levels. We definitely won’t be ordering from SBT again, and I warn everyone on here to be cautious of these people.

Reman crank for a sea doo 717 engine was perfect. Wrist pins were wrong and had to use old needles. Wasted 2 hours of my time. Engine is running great. The core exchange for the crank was simple. The box and packaging was exceptional.

1st experience with SBT a few weeks ago was great. I needed a small inexpensive item for trailer wiring... went to the shop in Clearwater and had great customer service. My purchase was probably the smallest of the day, but they treated me just as well as if I was buying a new core / something more expensive. They were easy to deal with. Shipped the part quickly. 4 stars for a couple reasons. 1. I felt the shipping policy was a bit extreme. 2. It made me nervous when a company talks about potential litigation in the purchase agreement, made me question what I was getting into. Beyond that it appears to be a good product, but time will tell.

This is the worst place to buy a engine. I have bought one from them. Have had to send it back twice. For the same reason. Bad bearings. Just got the third one. Same thing and now they say the warranty up. Have not even put it in the water. The mechanic tried to test run it. Bad bearings also. Dont waste your time or money stay away from these people

Make sure and ask what company your jet ski dealer uses to get your new motor! After 14 hours on a new motor purchased from Short Block Technologies in June 2016(only a few months of usage), the new motor has low compression. This company will not allow the jet ski dealer to open the valve cover to diagnose the problem before sending motor back to save the consumer money. This company will allow you, the consumer, who knows nothing to remove the motor and send the motor back to them. So you end up paying 700.00 to have the motor removed and put back in. What a rip off. Supposedly this company is having alot of bad motors, but yet does not make it easy for the dealer or the customer. The issue is your licensed dealers that sell your product that should be qualified to save the consumer money, you wont even allow them to diagnose the problem to save everyone money. You want to change my opinion and others of your company, stand behind your product and you pay the labor to pull your motor and to reinstall. I am sure being the high tech company you claim to be will have the quality process and procedures in place along with your statistical process control plan that ensures your products are of high quality and performance. Does your owner know how you are conducting business? Think about it! License dealers are suppose to be qualified to diagnose to determine if the motor should go back or not. This costs Short Block Technologies no money. It costs me, the consumer, who bought your $4000.00 engine with 14 hours and now problems and weeks without usage. I will make sure and spread the word with the jet ski users. Very poor customer care and quality.

Rebuilt two Yamaha XL Waverunners and both are running great! Local shop said they werent worth repairing. Im not a mechanic but thought I may as well try it myself. Put a crankshaft in one and top end kit in the other. Both are running great. SBT parts and tech support is top notch, no problems at all, friendly, fast delivery, good parts and support, what else could you ask for? Also, saved a boat load of money!
