New the area, and after nearly a year of being “online”, my son desperately needed hands-on learning. I was very impressed with the teaching methods, no-nonsense methodology, and approach to learning. It’s very back to the basics, and I was incredibly impressed! My son flourished in school, made new friends and found a new zest for life. The change was immeasurable. I would definitely recommend CLC to any student needing discipline, attention and focus.

Ehhh not such a great place. A bit unprofessional and just a mess. They do not have enough structure.the people running the place probably mean well but they need to train their teachers better. They definitely have favorites in this school! LOL!

Clearwater Learning Center is an incredible school and tutoring center. My son who is eight has been attending this school and every day when I pick him up he is very happy and tells me what a great day he had! He reads every day, does geography and math and other interesting activities as well as play outside. The faculty are incredible and the director take special care to make sure that my son is fully winning in all areas. I highly recommend the school and its tutoring center as well for your children.

Community Learning Center is a life-saving school and tutoring center! I have referred MANY people to this Center and have never been disappointed. Pulling my son out of public school was the best thing I could have done for him and his education. I am so happy I found this school. My daughter was very behind in math before we came to the learning center. By age she was in seventh grade, but her math level was at second grade. She started at Learning Center in September and now she got caught up to her actual grade level with the help of the staff. She became motivated even brings homework when it is not mandatory. This was not the case at her former school.

Wonderful place, wonderful school, caring and loving people that do whatever it takes to help a child grow towards a more self-sufficient and happy person.

My kids love this school. My 6 year old said the other day Mommy, I cant wait till Monday since I love to go to my school. This is the best school ever! Their academics have been improved significantly. As a parent I want to see my kids to be happy, enjoying the time spent in school and improving their skills and knowledge at their pace reaching their best potential.

One of my sons has been through 3 different schools in Pinellas County School District, Community Learning Center saved him. He is now super happy, loving school and is just night and day different with his attitude, the way he applies himself at school and behavior at both school and home. I highly recommend CLC Academy!

I love all the staff here. They treat every child with such respect and importance! My girl needed some testing and really enjoyed her experience. They made it very safe and relaxed.

My daughter loves it here! She has improved over a grade level in reading and math in just a few short months. She loves her teacher, Ms Karen, and enjoys the programs the school has to offer.

Our nephew lives with us and was behind in schoolwork when he came to live with us last year. He is a bright kind boy but needed alot of help academically to catch up. In the last year he has made so much progress and will soon be caught up! The staff have been wonderful and go above and beyond in working with you and your child. They are experts in academics, study skills and positively handling children. I couldnt have taken in my nephew if I didnt already know about CLC: the amazing staff, fantastic results and incredibly effective tutoring. Thank you!

I highly recommend Community Learning Center to everyone. Their hands-on teaching approach has truly helped my children blossom into their individuality while strengthening their love of learning! My children actually look forward to going to school every day and no longer worry about dealing with bullies. All the wonderful teachers at CLC always go the extra mile to get to know their students; learning their strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, etc. Then they use that information to tailor learning to the individual student and boost their academic confidence. Great school! my nieces really enjoy going here, it goes to show that teachers really care for the kids.

My son came to this school after having a hard time with fitting in at two other schools in the area. The staff evaluated him and assured me that there was nothing wrong with him and that theyd be happy to work with him. In just 5 months, his reading ability has soared far greater than I would have ever expected for 1st grade! It makes me happy to hear him read... books that are 3rd and 4th grade level no less. Other pluses for us is the small class size, and the fact that each child is working at his/her own pace/level. My son can move faster in reading if hes ready, or step back in math and get individual attention as needed. The kids are spoken to with respect and are taught to respect others. I consider myself to be a very involved parent and find that the Principal and Assistant Principal love children and are very open to communication and feedback with me as often as needed.

The Community Learning Center provides excellent tutoring services at such reasonable prices!I have known Kristen Harper for two years now, and her dedication towards educating our youth is exhausting! The administrators and tutors are such caring and intelligent people. The tutoring programs they provide are top notch.If you have $50 a month and want to donate your money to a worthy cause, then contact the Community Learning Center and sponsor a child who WANTS to learn!

Ive used the Community Learning Centers tutoring program for my daughter who had been struggling with certain subjects in school. She was able to get personalized attention in math and science where she was having the hardest time. The tutor (Debbie) is very patient and really made sure my daughter got the concepts of what she was studying and could use the information. My daughters grades went from Ds and Cs to As and Bs. She was much happier and looked forward to her tutor each week.CLC was also flexible and allowed me to use a Sat morning slot for tutoring since I couldnt fit it into my schedule during the week.This is a really great place whose focus is on improving education so kids really understand and can apply what theyve learned, which I often find is sorely lacking in regular schooling.

I found the center down the street from where I live. I was helping an 11-year old with her school work, she was having trouble and had been held back a grade. Sharon and Holly are true educators and gave me guidance on exactly how to help her. She began improving rapidly with the books and materials I received from the Center. This place is life saving. Im very grateful to the Community Learning Center for what is has done for our community over the years. My son has alway been a good student, but his act/sat scores were not great. It became apparent that he was very interested in attending the Coast Guard Academy and his test scores were below what they would consider. I am thrilled and proud to say he is now in his freshman year at the Academy!! They only accept 300 sudents per year so we cant say enough about the help we got from CLC to prep him for these tests!! As a former student of the Community Learning Center, I can say that this is by far one of the best tutoring organizations in Clearwater. I have been a student with them for the past 10 years, and that’s how I learned English when I came to Clearwater. Ever since Ive been with them, they have helped me learn English faster, helped me with my homework when I needed it, but the most important thing is I am in college now. If it wasnt for the Community Learning Center, I would have not been able to go to college and study civil engineering. Today, Ive teamed up with them to help out even more kids with tutoring.

Have had the pleasure of knowing Kristen for months now and have visited the Community Learning Center for a first look. It is no surprise to me that CLC has won the 2014 small Non-Profit Business of the year by the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. Kristen and her team are caring, effective tutors that can make the difference in a childs education and self confidence; the two major assets of building a strong foundation for a fulfilling and successful life.
