Contacted BBB to help me resolve an issue I had with Hertz. Eventually this was settled before the deadline date BBB gave them. I will certainly use this option for assistance again, if needed, in the future. It never occurred to me that the BBB would respond so quickly. I had actually already cancelled the credit card so that the merchant could no longer debit my card. And just a couple of days after contacting the BBB the merchant refunded me the funds and cancelled further debits to my card. I was amazed at how quickly the BBB was able to resolve the situation.

Whenever I had a consumer related issue, for whatever reasons, where I felt I was not getting moneys worth and/or customer services has failed to live by their promises, the BBB has been there for me. BBB have mediated and find resolutions where the I thought I was going to end up losing money. Companies dont want to look bad with the BBB because it costs them consumer trust. I am so glad the BBB exists to help those who cant afford legal services or a voice.

My experience with BBB was outstanding. After filling out their form and provided documentation about my complaints with Miracle Ear, they resolved my issue to my complete satisfaction in a timely and professional manner. I was very surprised at their success.When I first contacted them, I really didnt expect anything to happen. But that was not the case, not only did they acknowledge that they received my complaint but assigned a very nice representative who contacted me andstayed with me, and updated me periodically. Great work!

If any of you out have not figured it out yet the BBB is a giant fraud. They charge for services that are free public record and can be done in minutes that they charge for. They are only looking to make a buck. The more you pay the better your rating. If anyone thinks that a good rating on BBB is valuable you have lost to the interweb.

I was unable to get the proper credit owed to me by Dollar Rental car, although for months I was told I was due the $96 credit. No one knew how to do it and kept pushing me off. I contacted BBB and received my credit within 10 days. It was a miracle someone knew how to do the credit. Thanks BBB

I was having issues with Hertz refunding me for buying a 361.00 replacement for their vehicle. Thy promise tht thy were going to refund me once I return the vehicle. In other words almost a month went by after i went through all the channels they told me to through to get my refund...Once i never heard from them anymore about my refund, i turned to the BBB. Once I ooened my case with the BBB they kept me updated each step of the way until Hertz finally responded to thm about my case. Long story short, through the BBB i was about to get my resolution through thm about my refund which I should be receiving 5-7 business. The BBB is awesome. Thanks

I ordered books about the Keto program. They stated money back 100% within 60 days. Once I began to read the information it became clear to me that I could not afford what it would take to plan and cook meals. Therefore, I sent the books back for complete refund. The company failed to refund the S&H. The 100% guarantee said nothing abut you had to pay the S&H. With the help of the BBB I did get the S&H refunded. I advised the company their sales pitch said nothing about having to pay the S&H. I offered the information to them if not going to refund S&H then they need to say that in their sales pitch. Yes I did get the S&H amounts back. It is just a shame that I had to get the BBB involved when their sales pitch never mentioned no refund S&H. Not sure how they are doing their sales pitch now. I delete their emails as soon as I see who they are. Thanks to the BBB for their help.

When I recently had issues with a local vendor I submitted a claim to the BBB. Within a day they had emailed me and were making contact with the company. Their involvement in my case was paramount. Companies care what they think because consumers look for their grade when deciding upon a vendor. I have closed my case because I did get the full refund I was requesting. Thank you BBB!!!

I greatly appreciate the integrity that the BBB brings into play when dealing with a uncooperative business. We had a valid request for refund from a car dealership that had gotten to a point where they denied our claim was refundable, and wouldnt respond at all to our inquiries.It took two days after posting a complaint with BBB to get our situation resolved to our satisfaction. Clearly the dealer didnt care much about our position until the weight of the BBB came into play. It is comforting to know there is still a valid consumer protection group available to assist with these matters. A big thank you to BBB for their assistance.

I think alot of us forget to us them as a support or finding out the truth between consumers and corp business. That steal our cash and feel left untouchable. So happy and relieved by how quickly BBB resolved an issue with a scam company hacking my credit card for a false charge, then sending my info to a collections agency when I wouldn’t pay for their con. My credit score is my most valued asset and BBB had the matter resolved in just days! All I had to do was post my side of the story, along with the name of the company, and they took it from there. BBB made a stressful situation so much easier.

After almost 4 months of phone calls back and forth and innumerable hours on hold trying to resolve my issue with a business that took out an unauthorized $8000.00 loan in my name for products and services I never purchased nor received I contacted the BBB to report the company. Anytime I have trouble resolving issues with a company, BBB is great and helping getting them resolved and fast. The companies dont like to be contacted by them, that they have received a complaint so they definitely act. Having them step in and get communication between all parties is so helpful otherwise some of these companies dont care or respond to the customer. Thank you BBB.

I hired a local company to remove and replace one of my two home air conditioning units. When the unit was inspected by a Hillsborough County inspector it failed the inspection and the company that installed the unit was notified. For two months I called the company each week to ask when they planned to make necessary repairs but received no response. Two months after the failed inspection I contacted BBB and filed a compliant. Within a week of my BBB compliant the sent out a crew that make the necessary repairs and the following day the county inspector passed the unit for inspection. I dont think the company would have responded without the help of BBB.

The follow-up and follow-through were excellent. I expected my complaint to languish for several weeks while I dealt with and entity that was giving me the steamroller. Not so: BBB responded promptly; contacted the company with my complaint and grounds; and followed up with me to see if the company was responsive. I was so impressed with having regained only half of the money lost, that I told BBB I would just have to chalk it up to experience, and let the rest go because I felt foolish at having been trapped. As I did not state complete satisfaction with the result, BBB continued to follow up and I have at last received all of the money (about $358.50) removed from my account. Though the prompt response, follow-up, follow-through, and customer service were superb, I felt most encouraged by the advocacy shown me by BBB. Thank you, BBB!

This BBB helped me to resolve a dispute with Plumlee Vacation Rental who didnt answer my emails for a partial refund. After 2 attempts I eventually received my refund. Susan Scott was professional and courteous to me and responsive to my questions. However, I gave this BBB 3 stars, because the system heavily censored and edited my complaint, but more so, because my husband wasnt able to leave a review, despite the fact that he only visited us for the weekend, but wasnt present for all the nightmare issues my daughter and I encountered. After I received the refund, Plumlee banned me out of vindictiveness, sent me a nasty email as if I did something wrong, I did not. All the problems were theirs, which they confessed, apologized resulting in a refund. I think the BBB should have allowed my husbands review which was an important warning to others, that if they should complain via the BBB, they run the risk of getting banned by this company who cant take criticism or complaints. The overdone censorship that favors the business and not the consumer, connected to the multiple issues I encountered were suppressed by this BBB to help warn others from this shady business. Thats the purpose of reviews. My complaint is published but was heavily edited and censored to protect the business, which tells me this BBB has a bias. I dont think that was fair or ethical on their part as anyone reading will not know how this complaint actually did end up.

B3 Medical in Riverview double-charged me for items that my Supplemental Insurance had already paid. When I attempted to get my Refund, there was always a problem, i.e., the Chief Medical Officer wasnt available or the person who authorized refunds wasnt in the office etc. Id even filed a claim with my Supplemental Insurance. Their Rep wrote B3 Medical and called. This continued for 5 months. Nothing was working, UNTIL I contacted BBB. This is ONE organization who gets action. Within 2-3 weeks, Id received my refund. I purchased a sofa and the optional fabric protection from Rooms To go. After waiting three months for delivery, it came with a defective cushion that had a stain in the fabric. They sent a tech out to look at it and he tried cleaning it with a solvent then drying it with a hair dryer and burned the fabric and made it even worse. It was not a stain, only a defect spot in the material. I then requested a new cushion and a refund for the protection plan. It took a month for a new cushion that didnt match the other two and over two months and still no refund or any help from R T G. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with and will never purchase from them again. I finally asked the BBB to step in and help me get this resolved , their communication was great and easy to follow and within two weeks, I received my refund and a new complete replacement sofa. At least this time, R T G did inspect the replacement sofa, had it wrapped in moving blankets instead of cardboard and also put it together for me. Thanks to the BBB, I am now satisfied.

While BBB may not have authority to require changes, they provide visibility to negative feedback, which can motivate the company to make changes.

While reviewing my credit card statement, I found three unauthorized charges, totalling over $200. I did not recognize the three company names. I searched the internet and found that two of these separate companies were associated with free samples from one company offering a free bottle for postage cost only. The third company was not a company I did prior business with, but I suspected my Visa number was sold to them by the first company. It was the Better Business Bureau website that helped me find our who these companies were. All were rated F! I filed claims with BBB and almost immediately got refunds from the first two companies. The third company turned out to be in another state, so my BBB representative forwarded my claim and again, I received a refund within days. This was my first time using the BBB services and I was truly impressed. My refunds came faster than expected, and my rep, Tania Y, provided constant communication throughout. Using BBB has helped me solve 2 huge issues regarding an auto loan and a credit dispute. Both were resolved in a timely manner and I was able receive the resolutions I requested for both disputes in under a couple of weeks. Sometimes when you don’t get the answers you want from whatever company you are having issues with and you feel like you are at a roadblock, I strongly recommend BBB. Thanks to the BBB’s quick response, the company I was in dispute with resolved the issue immediately. I had contacted the company several times with the same documents I provided the BBB but to no avail. As soon as they received communication from the BBB, they reached out to me the next day and did the right thing! This is a wonderful service, available to all and costs nothing. It wasnt so much that the BBB helped resole my complaint as it was me, posting my complaint against Dollar Car Rental all over social media, that I feel spurred them to respond and eventually refund their charge. Before that, Dollar Rental ignored my requests and did not respond to my complaint. So, I guess the fact that the BBB exists and carries some weight, perhaps nudge Dollar Car Rental to finally acknowledge and respond to my issue.

West Coast BBB did nothing. We bought a PV Solar inverters and panels installation from SOLAR SPECIALIST in 2013. 10 year warranty on parts 5 years on labor. When the system stopped functioning 5-6 years after installation, these tricksters at SOLAR SPECIALIST (Chris Greene, pres) did not fix it. They confirmed with BBB the warranty described above and the customer is correct. Also that even though the 5 year warranty on labor was expired they still tried to fix it at no charge. As if they were being honorable, but havent fixed it for 6 months and counting. Where else are we suppose to go to get this working!? We paid them 5 figures to purchase this system... who else is suppose to service it!? Now were stuck with a system that does not work, that we paid a lot of money for, with a unscrupulous company SOLAR SPECIALIST, and... the non profit entity that makes 215 million dollars a year, called the BBB, states they can not do anything and case closed.

I contacted the BBB and requested help in getting a company to make good on its obligation to my deceased fathers estate. This seemed to be a cut and dry issue, however the company in question never fulfilled its obligations under the law.After over a year of being told they were working on the issue to no avail, I contacted the BBB and within 1 week I was contacted by a representative of the institution and they said they would personally insure my issue would be taken care of. That being said, it still took nearly 2 months to cut a check for $189 to make my dads estate whole.I would love to name the company so others would not use them, however, that would seem trite. Simply stated, the BBB rose to the occasion and quickly assisted my legal claim. I think the BBB is an amazing non-profit organization that can help navigate and mediate the complaint process when you realize that the business is not going to work with you. The business for which I filed a complaint refused to work with me until I started leaving reviews and contacted the BBB and suddenly they wanted an immediate resolution :) I also wanted an immediate resolution and I’m so glad that the BBB was able to step in so that I could receive the a resolution that matched the error. I think the BBB is an invaluable resource.

I purchased a product advertised on Facebook that turned out to be a scam. My effort to get a refund from the seller was unsuccessful, so I submitted the details of my experience to the BBB of West Florida. Within 3 days, I received a full refund. I’m grateful for organizations such as the BBB that actually work on behalf of the consumer to ensure that their complaints are sufficiently addressed. What I like most is that it gives you the option to either accept or reject a response from the business that you submitted a complaint about, which is helpful because some responses are not always to the consumers satisfaction. Being able to publicly share your experience with a certain creditor or organization can also be helpful for those that may be experiencing some of the same issues.

I was having an issue with a company, and after weeks of going back and forth with the customer service (and CS actually ghosted me. Just stopped responding) I was left without any options. Someone suggested that I file a complaint with BBB. Literally, filed my complaint one day, the very next day, someone from the company reached out and my issue was resolved. I should have started with BBB but Im so grateful for their help.

BBB Gets the job done. Just be honest and they will get you answers and justice.Short story, I bought something online, the item came to me not as described. I reached out to the seller and they made me feel like I was at fault. I filed a complaint with BBB and they reached out to the seller. A few weeks later I got money back that I was cheated out of.A+ service

I was pleased with the persistence of BBB and Rhonda Eakins in my dispute with Coast Dental. It took some time to resolve the issue and Im sure it would not have been resolved without BBBs help.
