Ufff worst customer service and communication I could imagine, definitely a NO NO, not recommended.May that explain’s the condition of this business.

Thank goodness for the technician, Gerald because he was WONDERFUL and so helpful! Gerald saved what started off as a great experience, then turned negative, and he brought it back to good. The manager, Rick, started off nice over the phone but face to face, his customer service skills really lack and he is not friendly or welcoming at all. No need to go into the way he spoke to me because I do not want to bash the place too bad because Gerald was GREAT!

Classic shady mechanic shop. Brought my truck in for a noise up from and to replace abs sensor. $350 quote for a $45 part and 30 min quote labor time. The noise he said was a bad wheel bearing. Labor and parts almost $800. I knew it wasnt wheel bearing so I started looking into is to find it was the abs sensor wire dragging on disk. Classic con artists. When I confronted owner he started to cuss and yell at me.

True 5 star service! I broke down in front of their shop and it was my lucky day! John took my car in right away and diagnosed it. My transmission had gone out, and John was knowledgeable and honest enough to tell me to contact Nissan, as it may still be under warranty. John answered all my questions and provided me all needed information to contact Nissan and made me feel at home while waiting for the outcome. My car is still under warranty, so I didn’t have it serviced here, but I will surely be giving them all of my business moving forward. Stand up guys!! You can feel confident bringing your vehicles here for service! Did I mention there was absolutely ZERO charge for all of their help? If I could give more than 5 stars I surely would!!

First time taking our car to Stouts. After recently moving to Florida Weve been skeptical about finding a new mechanic after having the same one the last 25 yrs.Rick and John were both great and easy to deal with. Rick broke down everything step by step and by priority of what needed done first and foremost.After placing a call to my old mechanic and telling him everything needed done, he assured me that although a little more than he would have charged me it was still a fair price and I wasnt getting gouged, AND when I went to pick up my vehicle I was informed that the price ended up a little lower than the estimate.Thank you again to Rick and John and all the guys at Stouts. I set a 1 oclock appointment they said my alignment would take about an hour start to finish. I was out at 1:05 and they didnt try to scare me into something I didnt need. Expensive but good work. They mark the parts up 100% so $200 of parts is really more like $100 if you bought it. They also still charge you a $19.99 diagnostic fee even if you proceed with the work. Shop rate seems to be about $80/hr.

First its 730 am and I get a flat on 19 and had to get off. Looking around like where am I, I notice an auto shop. So I call to see when they open. Thrilled that its 8am. I walk in at 8 and the guy behind the counter was polite but very standoffish, maybe he was in a bad mood or still waking up. Considering you deal with people with problems I would expect some sort of friendliness. But besides the morning attitude the service was good. They checked out the situation, explained to me my options, I made a choice and they executed. In and out in 45 min. And fair prices

I have been using this mechanic for nearly 10 years now. The are extremely honest and ethical. Over the years they have helped me out with something for no charge. I thought my car was going to die and need serious work. It turned out to be a tiny rock. They removed it for no charge.They are also very clean cut and respectful to their customers.I would recommend this place to everyone.

I am a perfectionist and have found a Auto shop that I trust and work on my vehicles like there own. I have a 2002 Acura which they have worked on at least 5 times, a 2000 BMW 528i which they have worked on a least 4 times, John and the rest of the guys are awesome, They are very kind and the prices are very good. Excellent staff, I have been going there for over 5 years and most of the mechanics have been working there for a long time. I have recommended them to many friends who have used them and agree they are the best around. The Best in the Tampa Bay Area!.

They are always super busy so be prepared to leave your vehicle for any repairs but on the bright side the mechanics are excellent😃😃😃😃😃

If I could give negative stars I would. I sent my wife and 19-year-old daughter to get a car checked out that she had just bought. After a 2 day delay, they finally got to it. When they wanted to go over the report. They asked if she needed to go back to school and learn to could read and write. They were more than unprofessional and rude. They were borderline profane. I do not expect them to be around much longer treating people like this.

I actually stumbled upon Stouts when I had a flat tire just a few hundred feet from their parking lot . I drove in and they got me back on the road in a few minutes . From there on I became a loyal customer for years . I have 2 cars and they did all my repair work on both . I even had smashed my car and they fixed all the damage and even did the bodywork and paint on the vehicle ! I have had so much work done by them and they would go as far as picking up my car, fixed it and drove it back to my home FREE of charge. The guys that work there were always honest and kind . I am handicapped and all the extra things they did for me made me a customer for life .. A big shout out to John and Jodi for being there for me . They do quality work for a fair price ! Last summer June 2017 I brought my car to Stouts for the first time. After 2,100.00 worth of repairs (front and rear struts tie rods ball joint sway bat link) I was told me car was in top top shape. Don’t sell it. Hold onto it, etc. GREAT NEWS. Feb 2018 I bring my car in because it’s vibrating. I leave the car at 8 am. At 2 pm they call and tell me I need new brakes and new tires. EST 1,800. I say do everything except the tires. They do everything except the tires. The next day I go through all my receipts since I’ve owned the car and discover I had new front brakes installed 8,000 miles ago! I look at the date Dec 8, 2016 and realize I had been living at the VA HOSPITAL /Hospice Ward since Oct 1, 2016, as my boyfriend had agent orange brain cancer and I really had no memory of what I was doing those 3 months. But the fact remained why would they think I needed a brake job after 8,000 Miles? I took my rotors (after they had told me they had already been picked up by the trash guy) they “found” them I took them to another garage and the mechanic measured them. In no way did I need new brakes. I took this information back to Stouts. John said the owner, Jody would call me Monday. It’s Thursday and I hadn’t heard so I went back in and asked where was my phone call. John said he didn’t know. Also, my tires have at least another 20,000 Miles to go on them. When I told this to John he said well it’s just a suggestion when we quote. Really? So I would have said yes to the tires and paid another 400.00 that I didn’t need to? I’m female and 73. This is elder abuse. No customer service. Still waiting for Jody to call. I’ll update this if he does. Michelle’s Ultimate Car Care on 4th in St Pete I was told by my daughters friend is an honest place to go. You’re welcome. It’s funny how I complained a month ago and all of a sudden there are 3 five star reviews about Stouts (I did tell them I would give a bad review. Write BBB and so on.) Thank you for reading. This place is a rip off I went there to get my tire replaced with one I had of my own and they charge me over 100 dollars just for one tire and the reason he said was so much was because the labor for one hour doing that was 85 per hour according to him and it only took him 15min. There was also a guy with a goat tea and he was very rude and walk away when I ask him a question. Places like this should be closed I feel like I can never trust on a mechanic because of places like this.

This place was great I had a problem with the suspension with my navigator and after many calls to many mechanics they turned out to be the best deal so I took it there on a Saturday morning and had it back by midday Saturday they did a great job my car rides great. they were quick, the prices were fair. I highly recommend this place.

Maybe it deserves 1 star maybe not, but we bought a tired for my wifes car and it blew out on her Easter Sunday this year!. Prior to that I bought one for my work van and same thing!!. But with my wifes car it blew out so bad that it messed up the whole frame of my wifes car. So I had to pay $2200 to get it fixed. Do yourself a favor, do not be fooled by their charm, they cant be real mechanics. I bought 1 tire on the same spot of my wifes car from Tire Plus & what to you know it stoped shaking under 30mph. Buying more tires for her whole car. Ill stick to my mechanic thank you!.

Went in to get my car checked out. The man that I spoke with seem uninterested to help me, he was short, and seemed unappealed to be there. He told me to come back another day and he would “take a look” at it. Definitely not good business ethics. Won’t be back.

If you need to know there’s people left in this earth who actually care, go to Stout’s. A single Mom and her elderly grandmother came out of the Clearwater shop treated with respect and honesty. We found a rare gem in the auto mechanics world. From a friend’s recommendation, we brought in our screeching going forwards and reverse, Toyota Sequoya. They found shot rear brake pads, calipers, and rotors. They quoted us a discounted, very fair price. No upselling on a realm of stuff we didn’t need, no diagnostic charge threats if you don’t let us fix it now, no death scares- your car will explode on the highway if you refuse, no coercion, no chauvinism, no oily sales talk. JUST REAL. These guys finished out with solid, excellent work. Our Toyota feels new, and quiet! And like answered prayer, our angel mechanic removed a large dent from our bumper! Oh my goodness, how often do you take your car in for brakes, and bring it home looking better? Thank YOU, RB , that meant the world to us! Stouts on US 19 is just the best. Weve been using them since they opened. They are honest, diagnose the problem correctly the first time, and complete the job in a timely manner.

I came to stout just to check on cost of new tires. They set me up and I was there for less than an hour for all 4 tires. I am now back for an oil change amd Im getting synthetic for $35. They treated me well and are always polite. I highly recomend them and I am a very difficult person to please. Thanks John your shop is the best.

Took my car in to replace the starter and they removed my ac lines to get to it and didnt put them back on correctly, so I took it back for them to fix it and they tested my compressor for 15min and tried to tell me it was bad when it takes a minimum of 1 hour to test an ac system for that problem. Do not take your car here and risk being ripped off if you dont know alot about cars.

The absolute cruelest employees work here. Some fat bald headed man and a young punk with a beard were absolute no help nor did they care to. Im a young female who was stranded from a flat tire 50 feet away from what was considered the shops property They refused to help me since my car wasnt considered on the property even though it took 10 walking steps to get to. The fat man finally came out just to look at my car, said it was good enough to drive over to the shop (it wasnt at all) and when I tried to drive it over it got stuck in the grass and he just kept walking and didnt care to do the right thing and just help another human being. Finally my own boss left work and drove over to help me. He went inside and bought me a new tire and had to put it on himself. The laziest pieces of scum work here and dont care about you at all!! Never ever will return and will be calling corporate to report there inconsiderate selfs.

Horrible!! told the so called mechanic at the counter I have a whinning noise coming from the transmission or diferential ...meaning dont take my car for a test drive and rev it all the way up on the rpm tire spinning !! Especialy when I work across the street and heard it from inside my buildingband saw you! Proubly did more damage to tranny now..

Sadly not good ..spent $700 ..for attempted repair and extra on rental while in shop....symptomatic knock was put down to compression issue and paid for seals to be replaced.. This did not fix the problem and it cwas suggested I replace all cables and Sparkplugs. Map and MAF and O2 sensor so tgat bought additional costs .in fairness owner and manager Steve offered to look at engine again and while duplicating problem engine siezed about 8 weeks later ...they filked with oil and coolant...though I noticed ..coolant temp was running hotter...car has to be scrapped..owner would not even speak to Me...I would be embarrassed Mr Stout

Best auto repair shop in clearwater is all I can say. I came in with my truck and they gave me options. My 4th of 5th time going there. They always give me a great price and the work is perfect. Thank you guys.

I chose Stouts because of their reputation and wanted to be sure that my mustang was in good hands. I was obviously fooled into believing that Stouts had the ability, knowledge and skill it takes to do a big job. Phone call after phone call with we need to do this, replace that, fix this and repair that. It seems to me that they dont have a clue, so they kept replacing stuff in hopes of resolving the original issue of a ticking noise in the engine. Now today I get a call, oops sorry its not fixed, we cant fix it so come and get your car. So $1800.00 dollars later and I get to start all over and pay someone else a couple thousand. DONT BE FOOLED BY STOUTS. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DONT FIX YOUR CAR................... I will be looking into recouping my losses.

My husband has been taking our truck to these guys for a while and have had minimal issues. He took it in today for an ESTIMATE to replace the rocker arm and ball joint. They called back with a more than $1,000 estimate. Ok, that is fine, but they broke all the lug nuts off the wheels and said they would charge us $140 to fix them. What? I have had tires changed and rotated at Tire Kingdom, Merchant Tires, and our dealer and every now and then they break a lug nut off, but they fix it before they turn the vehicle back over to us with an apology. I have never in my life heard of such rubbish. Well I guess we are in search of another mechanic as they have destroyed our trust in them forever. Not a good way to do business.

It was terrible experience. It has been almost two weeks since I took my car to their shop, he had it sitting for a weeks before contacting me, when he did call me he said he needed approval to start working on it, anyway, he told me the car was ready for pickup, when I made it to his shop I give him the payment & the car was not starting and he ask me for a separate payment for the starter. I was very disappointed and unsatisfied with his services.
