My visit to the dentist today was exceeded my expectations. I had some anxiety prior to my appointment but that came to halt from the moment I walked in the door. Destiny was waiting for me as I walked through the door to check me in. Courtney did an awesome job on my cleaning . She was gentle as ever and my cleaning was complete with no anxiety!!!! Dr. Haong was also comforting and reassuring. I cant forget Lauren who made sure I had all that I needed for my trip home. Thank you all for making my visit today stress free!!!!

Ive been coming to this practice for at least 8 years now, from the time you walk in Laurie Jean is so sweet, very pleasant and kind, all the Hygienists do great work and very knowledgeable. This year Dr. Sean replaced my crown and I got 1 dental implant, I am so pleased with the work he did, Dr. Sean is a perfectionist and made sure my tooth looked great, felt comfortable, etc. I am so happy I got my crown and dental implant here! My smile looks like it did in high school again!I HIGHLY recommend them for dental implants, all my dental procedures have been outstanding! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Highly recommend Mooring Dental; three years ago, when I moved to Clayton, I hadnt been to the dentist in a year, always put off going to the dentist not anymore. One day my bottom tooth cracked; I didnt have a dentist in Clayton. Everyone recommended Riccobene; I called three times, not even a return phone call, then I remembered getting a welcome letter from Moorining Dental to the Clayton community, so I called them. They immediately returned my call; this visit started a return to dental health; my bottom teeth were a mess, had totally shifted, so I had to get braces Mooring referred me to McNutt, amazing too, flash forward three years later my bite is perfect, and now Im working with Dr. Sean to make my teeth look nicer replacing older crowns, Mooring truly cares about your dental health, having a nice smile and helping you achieve what it is you need. Getting crowns are time-consuming, but last week I got a crown replaced on that cracked tooth, and imagine my surprise no coming back replacing temporary crown all done in one visit. Mooring Dental is precise, and their technology and how meticulous they are just amazing; I highly recommend Mooring Dental. The whole staff, nice, accommodating and very empathetic and explains everything to you so precisely, even taking actual pictures of your teeth so you can see what may need to be fixed!

Best dental experience ever! Dr. Mooring was much more gentle than any other dentist Ive been to. He was extremely thorough and helped me understand what was going on inside my mouth. He showed me the x-rays and explained, in simple terms, where I needed to take better care of my smile and why. Dr. Sean Mooring was thorough and explained all procedures and how to handle any problems. I was treated to a tour of the office before my appointment which was amazing. My appointment was for 8:20 and they took me immediately (first time I didnt have to wait in a dentists office. I would highly recommend this practice. From my initial after-hours telephone message and the early next morning call-back I received, to the office visit for a consultation and cleaning, I could not have asked for a more responsive, courteous and professional team or experience!

I was really happy with my fillings. Dr. Ray was phenomenal and this was the first time any dentist has ever completed a filling without having to shape the filling after. Both Dr. Ray and Dr. Sean explain everything in terms you can understand and make you feel comfortable. I didnt feel like products or treatments were forced on me and the whole office provides a friendly environment. Overall, my initial assessment and some fillings have taken more time than Im accustomed to, but considering the great treatment it was well worth the extra time. As new patients, we were both impressed by the staff profesionalism, personal interactions with the hygenists and a thorough exam with the dentists. Of course it is always financially scary to go in for any visit to the dentist but they are great at explaining costs and offering options for payment. You can tell that they really care about their patients. The only issue is their hours are limited to only M-Thurs. and no late nights so it is difficult to get in around our work schedule. However, they have been more than accommodating to put reminders in their calendar and contact us for available appointments that work for us. Highly recommended dental practice!

I have moved to Nashville in the past year and can honestly tell you I am driving all the way back to NC (over 8 hours) just to have a cavity filled by Dr. Mooring. I am the biggest baby when it comes to dental work too so its a big deal that I actually feel comfortable when Im there. They really cater to people like me! I honestly didnt feel ANY pain during my last visit and I had 3 cavities filled once I got my braces off. Amazing! Go check these people out, you wont be sorry! :)

Last Tuesday Jan 10th, I walked into a Dentists worst nightmare. My office was flooded because of pipes in the ceiling that burst because of the extreme cold temperatures the previous weekend. There was 4 of water in my entire office. Not only was my office ruined so was all my equipment. Once I was over the shock of what happened I had to figure out what my patients were going to do. Ive know Drs. Sean and Ray Mooring for many years and knew I would be able to rest easy if they would help see my patients with immediate needs until I figured out my next steps. As I walked into Dr Moorings office to tell him what happened and to ask if he would help by taking care of my patients, the first response he gave me was we can make room for you to work here until your office is repaired. They opened their office to me and my staff with open arms. Words cant describe the compassion they have shown me during this difficult time. Drs Sean and Ray not only have a first class class office, they have an awesome team that supports them. I will always be grateful for what they have done for me. A five star rating isnt high enough!

The service is just fine. I really like the dental assistants, but after 4 years, I will not be returning. My wife had cavities filled on three occasions. While I understand the estimate provided is just that, they were way off on our out of pocket expenses.All in all it was an extra$ $600 out of pocket over what it was supposed to be. We have Cigna Dental, and I am pretty sure they are consistent with what they are willing to reimburse. Somehow though, they cant figure this out at Mooring.My only conclusion is, they either charge way more than is the norm, or they are just really really bad at estimates.Since the actual service was fine, I still gave them 2 stars, even though they left a horrible taste in my mouth.

Both of these dentists are terrific. I have been a patient of theirs for 26 years now and would not think about going anywhere else!

Today was my first time going to Mooring Dental and I was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Sam and Victoria (I apologize if I got their names wrong) were the best dental assitants/hygenists that I have ever encountered. They were so pleasant, professional and thorough. My appointment lasted well over three hours, and the ladies were so attentive, asking me if I needed to take a break or if I wanted water to drink, or if I needed to stop the procedure for a while. Dr. Mooring was also very professional. He took the time to perform a compreshensive dental exam and explained in detail the dental procedures that were needed to get me on the road to great dental health. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new dentist!!

I have had a lot of work done on my teeth over the years, so I am picky when it comes to choosing a dentist. My experience at Mooring was great, and I was completely comfortable with their care and recommendations.

I have been a client of Mooring and Mooring for about a year and a half. The first thing that stands out is their preparation and organization. When you walk in for a 10:00 am appointment, they are ready to start work at 10:00 am. no long waiting room visits. Dr. Sean and Ray have all the expertise you could ask for and their office is equipped for ANYTHING you might need done. I had an onlay completed on my second or third visit. What was even more impressive than the explanation for the onlay, was the fact that the Mooring team cut the porcelain in about 15 minutes. after prep work and the installation, I was in the office just over an hour. The Mooring and Mooring staff are great at helping to manage the insurance and working with their patients to maximize the benefits. They also understand the limits of insurance and will help you prioritize any work needed. You always get the same hygenist when you arrive for your appointment so you dont have to explain your dental history every time, which also provides for a more comprehensive examination.The Moorings have a world class facility and staff. If you are new to the area or looking for a new dentist, I recommend Mooring & Mooring, they will exceed your expectations.

I have been a patient of Dr.J Ray Mooring since the early 1970s. Dr. Mooring left church to come to my aid when a tire exploded in my service center and knocked out my four front upper teeth. He rode in the ambulance with me to the ER (going above and beyond to make sure that I was ok). The following week, he crowned the remaining teeth stubs. I still drive 65 miles to his office. He is a perfectionist and the dental treatment he provides will always show this trait. He demands the same of his very professional and friendly staff. Very blessed to call him my dentist and my friend!
