Great facility with friendly staff. I refuse to go to AMF so buffalo and rainbow are my go to bowling alleys. League is competitive but fun. Oil pattern for league seems to be a modified house shot so it is challenging but can also score on it. Its just not AS forgiving as others in the area which is actually a good thing. As someone who doesnt drink I prefer places that dont serve alcohol usually. However, rainbow is still a bowling alley that happens to serve alcohol, not a bar that happens to bowl so I dont mind it. They have a HUGE gaming area and a lot of pool tables. If you live in the area or are visiting, dont be fooled by bowling alleys that dont have a big corporate name. These smaller alleys are exponentially better in every way.

What a wonderful surprise, a bowling alley where everything seems to work properly! Clean facility, nice snack bar, even a cool indoor arcade. Top notch all the way around, and reasonably priced for open bowling.

My little girls bday party was changed short notice due to inadequate accommodations at Red Robin. Called rainbow lanes last minute and they were more than helpful. Spoke to Chris and he took care of everything. Awesome staff and we have never had a bad experience here. Good food great service and without a doubt an awesome experience all around.

Celebrated our sons 8th birthday party here and it was wonderful. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Price very reasonable for 8 children with food bowling and shoes.

Chris at Rainbow Lanes brings the party every Thursday night. Living in Rocky Mount, we drive here and pass up many bowing options closer to home for the the atmosphere only Rainbow Lanes in Clayton can provide. All of the staff is outstanding and welcoming. Your visit to Rainbow Lanes wont disappoint. The beer is cold and the grill is hot!

Good fun....the approach to the lanes are REALLY slick/slippery. I bowl competitively and really cant imagine being in a league here and having to be concerned with not slipping or falling. I found that my focus was less on my bowling and more on my stability and staying upright.The atmosphere is fun though. Theres a pool hall and arcade inside as well. Its definitely a sleeper when driving by.Havent had the food but they were cranking out orders the whole time I was there.There are 32 lanes here.Bathrooms could be cleaned more thoroughly, its especially important considering the current climate of the world. They did spray and wipe the seats and screen in the bowling section before we were seated.Jimmy the Pro Shop Manager is extremely helpful and knowledgeable!

My wife and I had the worst experience. The person behind the counter was absolutely RUDE!!!

The best place to go for just some fun or birthday parties or a date night. They do service beer, and has a big nice selection. They have pool tables and great games for the kids. They have a nice snack bar. Nice friendly service from the people that work there. 2 big restrooms on each side of building. They have midnight bowling as well.

We came here for a birthday party (before Covid). The arcade was such a great surprise. It has so many fun games! Biggest shock was a ride in the arcade. My grandson rode it about five times. Great place to bring kids definitely.

This is a great place to have a good time, but the safety precautions for covid-19 are not enforced. They have a sign that says to wear a mask, but the employees wouldnt do anything if you took your mask off. In fact, I saw a review claiming that a customer was encouraged by a worker to take of their mask for a better experience. But otherwise, this is an amazing place to take family for a good experience.

I love playing pool, and they always have tables available and its not expensive at all. The staff are nice and if you know what to expect its a great place. Good for bowling with the family or just hanging out with friends in the arcade.

Nice bowling alley with a generous arcade room and several pool tables. The food was right where I would expect for such an establishment, not overly fancy, good quality, and priced accordingly. Pricing was really good compared to other lanes I have visited in the past.

Visited with the family on 3/27. Well over 50 % capacity. We left before finishing our first game. We used to bowl here frequently before the pandemic. We will not be going back. We will drive an extra 20 miles to Raleigh due to how we were treated when we asked about social distancing policy. Matthew informed us he has every right to fill each and every lane even when the terminals say...lane is closed for social distancing. I guess a sub note should read....unless Matthew feels its safe;-) Well you will have one less lane filled on the weekends by me and my family. Sad because we loved this place.

Great family fun center. large meeting rooms for parties or meetings. Very large arcade area with the Himalaya roller coaster ride and a pool hall with a lot of tables. great food menus and restaurant area to eat. They also have a good selection of leagues available.

Fun place for family style bowling and entertainment. Excellent weekly specials on bowling, and the service is great. If youre a hard-core bowler, Id probably stick to AMF style lanes.

Still a good place to go bowling and have some fun. But man theyve got to step it up on the lines at the snack bar on a Saturday night. One cashier running just dont cut it. We paid for an hour of bowling and spend 30 min in the dern line for a beer lol but over all a good place.

Its a great place to bowl and I enjoy the leagues but be careful of the manager/owner of this place. She is very rude and has a temper. If you actually try and have a civil conversation with her about a league issue, she loses it if she doesnt agree and that is not the attitude you want or need as a manager/owner. You need someone level headed that will listen. She almost seems unstable. She is very unprofessional. Not my first bad experience with her and higher ups in some of the leagues have confided to me they have caught her in lies. Its her way or the highway and she does not care about your input. There are other options out there. Went there one night during the holidays and it was dead and we were told we could not practice league style bc people could start coming in and bc of covid but just 2 weeks ago me and my kid were bowling and they started people directly beside us in a packed house. Really?! I was told she decided this and the guy at the counter said only if it was ok for the people on the lane to have someone beside them. I was never asked. Again, doesnt seem to value her bowlers. Should consider them a little more. Especially the ones that have been loyal through the pandemic because alot of people havent. A response by them wont do any good because she refuses to listen. The other employees are very nice thankfully.

Its a pretty nice bowling alley albeit a bit old and the lanes do sometimes get stuck (the balls wont return or the pins wont come back). However, they do fix it fast within seconds of you telling them of the malfunction. Overall, its fun with competitive pricing and its great with friends and family alike.

Rainbow Lanes in Clayton is a great place to go at anytime. The facility is very large and accommodating with easy parking and it is always sparkling clean. It’s set up for all ages with lots to do; bowling, pro shop, billiards, arcade, climbing gym and an excellent snack bar. Birthday parties there are always very well done. The staff is the best; always attentive and helpful.

Does not enforce masks at all and I even saw an employee encourage customers to take off their masks. The bathrooms are unclean and the lanes had some mechanical issues as well. Also experienced a rude attitude from an employee.

Its completely wonderful place just need to upgrade the games and the prize for all youth

The place has a great junior program and is fun to bowl with friends on a night after work. Has beer and good food to dine on while you wait the ball return to return your ball. I recommend this place for birthday parties and family outings. Plus, free WiFi and the arcade is good. It has a roller coaster inside! Would come again!

Rainbow lanes is a family friendly place. The staff is awesome. They are always there to help. Bowling is fun and so is the arcade.

We have had two of our daughters birthday parties here, the last one being recent, and they are fantastic! The customer service is terrific and they take great care of you and make sure all your needs are met. The kids had a great time at this last one and my daughter wants to have her party here next year. The price for a birthday party is very reasonable and the facility is clean, in great shape, and has cool touch screens on the bowling lanes. Highly recommend for a birthday party and for just going there in general. Great place!

Attended a dinner here catered by the owners. Beef stew, baked chicken, yams, green beans, salad.....too many items to name. Let me just tell you the food was awesome. We had such a great time and the staff was very helpful. They have 3 large meeting rooms and a plethora of options.

Very family friendly environment. I took my kids and niece there and they had a blast. Most of the employees there were friendly except this one guy. But that didnt ruin our fun. The food was quick but not as good as I hoped it would be. The fries tasted as though they werent cooked long enough. The shrimp was decent and the funnel cake fries were pretty good. It was clean and spacious. I loved that they had a pool table in there as well. When it came time to play the bowling games, the kids could not stop smiling. I love the fact that you can add a photo of yourself that shows on the scoreboard. I would definitely go back again. It might be a new family day outing.

They oil the lanes all the way down to the pins. Fun for families but now if you are trying to work on your hook. There is no lane grip until the pin landing area. Would really like a 70/30 or 80/20 oil pattern but it seems more focused on the for fun bowlers.

Great bowling alley in Clayton that has diverse offerings for pretty much everyone in your family. If youre not into bowling they have a great arcade for the kids (and adults). They even have an indoor roller coaster in the back. They have plenty of party rooms if youd like to host a party. They have a room of pool tables as well.Regarding food and libations they have a diverse menu that contains super reasonable prices. We got the wings and pizza and were satisfied with both. Dont get me wrong, it didnt blow my mind, but it also didnt blow a hole in my pocket book. Even if youre a hop head they have a solid beer selection for a bowling alley.Would recommend.

THERE WAS NO SOCIAL DIATANCING HERE AND LIKE 200+ people!!!!!!! THE WORKERS WEREN’T WEARING MASKS EITHER!!!! Someone needs to report this place!!! And the food tasted awful!!!!!!!! There are so many better bowling places that are social distancing too!!!!!!!

I love this place. They recently did some upgrade. New chairs, scorers and other upgrades. Its still not the nicest alley and its ok. The staff is fantastic. Food is good, its an old school flat top grill. I bowl league here and have a great time. I highly recommend this place. The pro shop does a good job with any equipment work needed.

Prices are quite high for bowling. The shop does have very good knowledgeable people in it to get your ball the way you want. Seems like they care for the league bowlers more than anything.

Love this place for kids bowling. It is inexpensive and there is lots to do. We hosted our toddlers 3rd birthday there andEverything was wonderful.

They have a lot of lanes and the staff that I have spoken to are very helpful. I am new to the sport and I had my new ball drilled there. The gentlemen manning the pro show was eager to answer any questions I had.

This is a nice place for a family outing. The food service was incredibly slow, but really, really reasonably priced. Bowling itself was reasonable, too. The accommodations for kids (small balls, small shoes, ramps, and bumpers) were great. The software for running the lanes was fun, too. Its a little dingy, but most bowling alleys are. The games area is fun, too, especially the climbing gym for little kids.

Always a great place to take the family bowling. We went for a birthday party so the kids bowled and had a great time hanging out!! We enjoyed the party room with good pizza and cake. Topped it off with some arcade time and it was a wrap. Thanks for a great time!!

Took my two grandsons today to have lunch and bowl. We bowled 3 games and we had a great time and the hot dogs were great. They have remodeled since we were there last and it looks great.

Nice staff. Very proactive in the games area. Employee saw a game eat my tokens & immediately stepped up to help. Very kid friendly & clean compared to other alleys Ive been to.

I went here recently for the first time in years and was impressed with the renovations that they have done. Its nice to have a place like that in Clayton that has been around for over a decade. It also helps their business now that they serve alcohol as well.

Come here about once a year to go bowling with my friend Daniel. Prices rise each year but a great experience and very friendly staff. I live in Cary so this bowling alley is about 40 miles from where I live but I come here to bowl with my best friend since 2010 (past 7 years). Awesome bowling alley. Hope to come again here soon and love the arcade ski-ball game! :)

My family and I stopped by from out of town and had a blast. Andrew at the shoe rental desk was especially helpful. As a matter of fact, I was blown away by his enthusiasm and willingness to make sure we were having a great time. He recommended a program that saved us quite a few $$ and spent a good 10-15 minutes with my daughters helping them find the right shoes. In my opinion, he should be running the place. We have only been bowling a few times, but this was easily the most enjoyable. Thanks again Andrew.

Monday night i was go there but there is full of space so many poeople there. Maybe need more space but someday maybe i will comeback because i need to try it. Hope no full space.

Awesome bowling alley!!! Staff is terrific!!! We organized a get together for my husbands birthday. We had ordered food platters and snacks. Food was great!! We will definitely be back soon!!!
