Eric was great! We got some bad storm damage and needed a tree removed off our roof, a new roof put on and new gutters. His estimate was reasonable and fair and he worked off my insurance estimate to help keep the repairs within budget! He kept me informed and communicated with me on everything that was going on. The work him and his crew did was top notch.We love our new roof! They got the old roof removed and the new one on in less then 24 hours! His crew cleaned up after themselves and it may have been a little cleaner then it was prior!We would definitely reccomend Eric at A-1 Contractors again and plan on using him for other remodels wed like to down the road!

I am very pleased with our basement that Eric finished for us. He added a full bathroom(tiled and beautiful!), master bedroom, living area, closets and enclosed a laundry area. He added a small door under our stairs to access extra storage, but my children have declared it their secret door, so now its going to be a hidden play area. Everything turned out better than I had envisioned! Eric was easy to work with, always meeting and returning phone calls/texts promptly, and correcting anything we didnt like. The job took a little longer than excepted, but the workmanship and attention to detail made up for it :) His crew did a great job cleaning up afterwards too. We will definitely use Eric again and would recommend him to anyone needing to remodel or build!

Came to the house. Never gave me an estimated for the fixing of the house. Is been 3 weeks, no one called back. With the info i requested.

Called these folks last Friday to see if someone could come and give me a quote for a bathroom remodel to make it more handicap friendly. Spoke with a nice young lady who told me someone would return my call. Today is the Thursday after and there has been no return call. Also, even though I never mentioned this being a VA remodel, because it isnt, the lady I was speaking with made it clear that they do not do VA work.

Contacted for estimate for a master bath remodel and home inspection. They scheduled a time, NO SHOW! Even called them and left voicemail and still never received a call back. If they cant even make an appointment for an estimate, why would you consider having work done by them? Dont waste your time. If they cant show up for an estimate when you have a 40k budget for a master bathroom and prep to put a house on the market? What would make anyone think they would show up after you paid for materials and complete it on schedule? Well thank you for not wasting my time A-1.

Eric was easy to work with and very friendly.He listened to my needs and his work was beyond what I expected by identifying original builders code errors and fixing them all within my budget.I highly recommend A-1 Contractors for your home improvement needs.

In Decmeber 2011, A-1 Contractors installed a new roof on my house. By July of 2012, the roof was again leaking. The leak was sufficient to cause new water stains to appear on the ceiling in my home. I immediately called A-1 Contractors, and they sent out a representative to re-seal flashing around the source of the leak. When the rep was asked about the water stain, he said we (the homeowner) could, Apply touch up paint to the affected area. I challenged him on this issue, and told him to let management know I intended for them (A-1 Contractors) to apply the touch up paint in the affected areas, since the stain was a direct result of their poor workmanship. I awaitied a call from A-1 Contractors for over a week, then followed up personally. After approximately ten calls, I was able to get a verbal confirmation from their staff that the issue would be resoved, and they just needed a week or two to schedule a time. That conversation took place in August of 2012. It is now December 2012, the work has no been completed, and they refuse to return my calls.I would like the affected areas repainted, as previsouly agreed upon by A-1 Contractors staff.This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It can take up to 30 days for the Bureau to receive a response/resolution to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.

I had called to schedule an estimate for work and never heard from them.

SLOW about 30 days to do a roof a roof then i try ed to pay the guy had to call him 3 times after that i stopped calling then after about two weeks he called me mad about his money 5 mouth later still trying to get any paper work about the the roof
