Place was great went to a wedding there and AL D. Was great. Hes the Sales Mgr/Catering manager and he was absolutely amazing. He was there before the wedding till the end. He assisted with everything.The bartender Dwayne was very nice and accommodating to all guests.Friendly staff, food was good and plenty of it. Didnt run out of anything.I would come back.
I had my daughters bridal shower here and it was beautiful! The staff was very helpful. The food was good and I received a lot of compliments on the food . I would definitely recommend a party at the Gran centurions .
Went here for a wedding in June. Great location, great property and staff that ran the event. Overall, a great place for any type of gathering. But, definitely fit for weddings and events like that
Beautiful spot for a baby shower or wedding! There was an omelet station and so many other kinds of food.. everything was delicious! The decor was beautiful and there was an outdoor section for us to use as well. Will definitely use for events in the future!
This place is beautiful. It sits back from the street, has plenty of parking. Enty of rooms for any type of function that you may need. I would recommend this place for weddings, bridal or baby showers, retirement parties, etc.
My family and I visited this location for a New Years Eve gala. The banquet area was very spacious and included a dance floor and stage for performers. The food served in the buffet was pretty good and the service was really good too. The entertainment included Bobby Valli (Frankie Valli’s brother) singing Jersey Boys songs and music from the 70s and had comedy entertainment performed by Uncle Floyd. The only downfall was that the people attending this gala were over 65 years old which made it slightly awkward since my wife and I are in our 40s with three kids (two who are teenagers). We still made the best of it and had a good time.
This is my second time having a party there Had my daughters first Birthday & her Graduation. Food is delicious & the banquet rooms are nice. Very reasonable priced.

We celebrated my grandfathers 70th birthday at Grand Centurions and left feeling incredibly thankful for the staff. They assisted us in pulling off a flawless surprise at the beginning of the party. Throughout the event, they helped in projecting a home video onto the TV for the guests and my grandfather to view. The quality of drinks, food, and service were great. Every staff member was attentive, charismatic, and kind. Would definitely recommend this venue to a friend.
Enjoyed a High School reunion there recently. Only thing needed to be better was the HVAC system.
Ask to see the kitchen before you book your party here! These are actual photos of thier kitchen and miserable food handling practices!!! Food that is improperly stored! Rodent issues.....rat traps and rodent remains, REALLY? If you think that you are going to have matching dinner and silverware, think again. The floors are filthy. The chaffing dishes are caked and crusted with old food, How is this place still business? Because the public is doesnt know. Consider yourself warned!!! Dont let the Clark address fool you this place is a dump !

This pass weekend which was Saturday March 20,2021 I gave my husband Mr Eddie Barber his 75th birthday party/50 year Anniversary in business in the city of Newark at this venue. I could not have asked for a more professional team. The food was excellent and so was the service from the employees. I wanna give Garry, Fran, Joe my regards on a job well done. And any events that i have outside of my club which is Mercedes & Mink 574 Springfield Ave Newark will be giving there. once again Thank you Eddie & Judith Barber.

The Gran Centurions was wonderful, it was the perfect venue for us to get married at. Gary helped us out in every way possible to make sure we had a beautiful wedding even during COVID. The ballroom was beautiful and the food was fantastic. The staff all wore masks and gloves the entire time. Joanne was our maitre d, she was communicative, quick to respond and just a delight to work with. My wife is an organized and slightly OCD bride and she handled her very well. She made sure that every little detail was perfect throughout the night and with setting up the ballroom.
Staff was miserable, wouldnt give out more cake when asked, and we brought the cake.
I can’t say enough great things about our party at the Gran Centurion. Garry, Fran and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for my boyfriends 40th! The food was amazing, the service was top notch. They exceeded all my expectations. Everyone had a great time and our guests loved everything! Thank you for everything and can’t wait for our next event there!!
We recently had our daughters Sweet 16 at the Gran Centurions. Fran, Gary, the staff, and the venue all exceeded our expectations! The room was beautiful and the menu was perfect for the guests! The kids loved the taco station, sliders, chicken tenders etc. The food was delicious! Fran played a huge part leading up to the day of the event, and went above and beyond the night of the event to ensure that we were satisfied. Extremely accommodating!! Can’t thank you enough for helping us host a fabulous party. We would highly recommend the Gran Centurions for your next event!
Place is going down hill its a shame
We were taken on a tour of the beautiful facility and we decided on taking the Terrace room.For our baby shower.
My sister got married here and I’m totally appalled by the whole experience. They had an event 30 minutesprior to ours and the bridal party basically had to set everything up. Fran was completely incompetent and doesn’t know anything about event planning. The food was barely edible. There were a few people on the wait staff that were extremely nice and accommodating but other than that I would not waste my time or money at this place. From start to finish I was scratching my head in disbelief of how things were done. Fran had a mask on for COVID reasons below her chin basically for the whole wedding that did F U in italian. She also enjoyed drinking her cosmos rather than helping with anything. Just because it has a Clark address doesn’t mean anything. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Words cannot express my gratitude for Joan and the No. 1 staff of the Grand Centurions. My wedding was the PERFECT wedding and its all because of God and their help. Joan is a top-notch planner and I am incredibly lucky to have had her help. She always made me feel as calm because she had everything 100% under control. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everything, every person, every moment was just great specially letting my doggo Teddy participate in the wedding ceremony 😊

Great place to host a party. Held my babies christening here and food and services were great. Do yourself a favor a put the Salmon on your menu, best Salmon you will ever eat. Period. Fran, our party liaison was a complete pleasure to work with and made sure we were accommodated well.

Old and run down.... Time to either put money into the place and run it like a modern catering event hall or sell and turn the property into houses! But its in need of work.
When you pull up to the sign on the road, it sits in the back. Nice suprise, private venue.Food tasted pretty decent..Staff was organized in getting tables to buffet.Was a giant big multfunctional room we were in. Nothing stellar. Functional.

Fran was an absolute pleasure to work with and was so accommodating to everything we wanted. Our day went perfectly. Everything was set up on time and all the little details we asked for were executed perfectly. My gosh was the food excellent. We received compliments all night about the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. I would highly recommend The Gran Centurians for any event! We were so pleased!
The Gran Centurions is a fabulous banquet hall. The owner and his staff are the most pleasant people. My experience was yesterday! I had my daughters bridal shower yesterday!!! Fabulous !!!! I highly recommend looking at this banquet hall for any event you are planning!

I just hosted my daughters sweet 16 in this place. I was very happy with the way it turned out. The staff was always on top of everything. Yes there were a few things here and there that we had to ask them to change or do it again, but they did it without any issues. Never got an attitude from them and everyone you approached was always nice. Food was great and the price is reasonable. Great parking. The owner was always nice to us and very pleasing to talk to.

Feels like it is downstream from its heydays, but the salmon for dinner was excellent and fresh. Needed quite a few more servers who were not so eager to stock all tables completely but were quick to cut you off from finishing your meal when the reserved time was up. Im sure these are not the servers ideas--like they say, the companys philosophies are emulated and reflected by the rank and files behavior towards their clientele.
It was a big n beautiful place catering was great food was great open bar was good but it should have a limit for people whos feeling to nice ...cuz it ruins the party for others but besides that i love the place my Goddaughter wedding was here

I had my wedding done in the Gran Centurions. they overcharged me big time on my wedding day before entering the hall. the food is good but you need to be focus with Gary when they bill you... otherwise it would have been the perfect night.
We had our wedding there June 10th of 2018, we had180 guest. Excellent service and food cant thank them enough. I Highly recommend to work with Fran, her experience and recommendations made us comfortable from day one.
We had my fathers repass here. The service ended early and they still were willing and able to accomodate our large group early on short notice. Food and service were very good. They really were accomodating!
Went for an appointment to see the venue possibly for my wedding, Looks nice from what I did see, but apparently the event coordinator double booked for the appointment. Want greeted by anyone, waited half an hour without anyone saying anything to us, then when I mentioned I was still waiting for my 4 o click appointment at 4:40, I wasshewed away and told to wait. Rude customer service, no longer on our list for venues. What if she double books our wedding?
