My husband and I have called Good Tidings on 2 occasions for our furnace and most recently our hot water heater which broke after flooding in our basement. The company is communicative, professional and we cant say enough good things about Mark. He did such great work, has a respectful kind demeanor and makes sure to present all our options and associated costs, leaving the final decision to us (which we greatly appreciate). These guys are incredibly amazing. We are thrilled. Five stars across the board. Our gas furnace would not ignite for an unknown reason. Good Tidings sent diagnostician Steve, who demonstrated through words and action how he is a master of his trade. I watched the whole time and dont know where to begin so here are five words, one for each star: professional, thorough, orderly, courteous, and last but not least — competent. The large high cube van is packed with every imaginable tool and accessory including space heaters for clients while they tackle a problem. The dispatcher gave us courtesy calls to let us know the ETA. It turned out we had a partially blocked exhaust chimney that caused the system to overheat and shut off automatically. Steve removed a massive amount of dirt, dust and debris from the chimney as well as 12 dead birds, and of course sealed it up nicely. We are 100% satisfied with every facet of service we received. Highly recommend!

Our water heater broke on a Sunday and we needed a new one ASAP. Good Tidings proved to be incredibly helpful and responsive. I spoke with Alex on the phone who walked me through how to shut off the water and necessary steps. He would have stayed on the phone as long as I needed him to, I did not feel rushed. They were able to get a team out, we had the pleasure of working with Steve. Steve was able to remove the 75 gallon old tank and replace a new one immediately. They sent a text before hand with a picture of Steve so we were aware who was coming to install the new water heater. Although it was a bit more expensive, they were incredibly helpful, thorough, and honest. I’d recommend them to anyone who needs a solution ASAP.

I have used Good Tidings before, they service my furnace and installed my garbage disposal a few years ago. I needed the discharge pipe on my sump pump repaired and my a/c serviced. They called me with an appt window, sent a text message before arriving and told me the name of the plumber that would arrive. Brian was wonderful. He was professional, courteous, told me the price and approximate time it would take. It was simple to understand, showed me the work afterward and emailed my invoice. Fantastic service.

I want to thank Luke for working with me on scheduling and Brian and Keith for the work they did today. I had a hard time finding a company to come out quickly initially, but with a few helpful phone calls, Luke was able to find a time sooner than anyone else that worked for us. Brian arrived early within our scheduled morning window and took his time to make a thorough and informed assessment of our leak. He was very patient and helpful answering all of my questions, some not even about the problem at hand. We agreed on how to proceed and he and Keith were done with the work by early afternoon. Brian tested the work repeatedly to ensure all was well. Cost of the job was very reasonable and it is a relief to have this completed so smoothly and with such good service. I have another planned project in mind and will be calling Good Tidings for their help. Our boiler went out on a Sunday and Good Tidings was able to dispatch someone that day to evaluate. They could not fix right away but did leave enough space heaters to keep us warm as the night temperature was in the high 20’s. They were able to fix the issue with new parts on Monday morning. They even were able to correct a thermostat that was not installed correctly by someone else. Very happy with the service we receive every time. Would highly recommend Good Tidings!

Good Tidings was a God send this morning. We had a leaking pipe that was causing lots of water on the floor of our laundry room. After a sleepless night we called them around 7:30am this morning after the plumber we first contacted stated they didnt have anyone that could come out today. I spoke to Chelsea who took all of the information and said someone would be calling back within an hour. About 15 minutes later Luke called and said they had someone available and they could be to my house between 8 and 9am. Within the hour Mark and James arrived, assessed what needed to be done and got to work. By 9:30 our pipe was replaced and everything was in working order. They were professional and courteous. We will definitely use them again in the future. Their service was exceptional.

They Installed heavy duty-brass valve, copper supply pipe & seal (requested a cheaper one but was told that’s what they supply) Time was not even an hour. $280.00. ( Also tried to talk me into a has heating contract.)

FIVE STARS. Steve and his partner were fantastic. They came quickly, which during an emergency is really important. They were professional and courteous, and answered all my plumbing questions. They were able to remove the old water heater, vacuum up the flooding and install a brand new heater within a few hours! Its never a good day to find a major appliance has gone bust, or to find a flood in your basement, but this really could not have gone better. I barely had to even stop working myself, and they cleaned up after themselves. Grateful to have such knowledgeable expert plumbers able to come at a moments notice. If you have any issues these are the guys to call.

Used Good Tidings twice: once in late June when the A/C went out and then just recently to do some repairs & maintenance on the furnace. Both times they were totally professional and reliable - from the initial phone call to the specialist explaining the work being done as well as the billing process. Very thankful for their service and highly, highly recommend.

This company seems to prey on the helpless. Was charged $3000 to install a hot water heater! Also, when I called to have my AC unit looked at. They claimed I needed a new condenser motor and had to be special ordered. The quoted cost for the part was $500 and another $500 for install ($1000 total) The exact part was on Amazon for $120. I showed the tech and he was speechless. They try to rip your eyes out and hope you have no idea of true costs.

Weve had the nice folks at Good Tidings come by to take care of 2 separate problems we had and they did such a fantastic job if taking care of them. Mark and Mike arrived within the estimated time, only about an hour after I called. An entire 2 drain replacement and boiler check were completed within an hour, perfectly done. They were respectful, knowledgeable, and very skilled.

The guys from Good Tidings quickly diagnosed the source of the leaks in my basement’s pipes, and they gave me several options for repairing them. They worked tirelessly all day to make the repairs and upgrades I had opted for. They went above and beyond and labeled the various valves in my basement and made me aware of other items to keep an eye on. I appreciate their quality work that I can trust.

I noticed my water heater was leaking a couple days ago and finally went . I can’t survive without hot water so I gave Good Tidings a call and explained to them what happened. They arrived at my house at 8 am sharp the very next day. They replaced my water heater in about an hour . The 2 technicians that came(Rob and Ray)were very polite and professional and answered any questions that I had and explained everything I needed to know. Early the next day, Luke from good tidings gave me a call to inform me that their technician Brian will be showing up to my house within the half hour. Brian, the service technician, came within a timely manner, was friendly, clean and took safety precautions for COVID-19. He explained everything in great detail, answered all my questions and there was no pressure on what “package” for repairs to pick. He then made sure I understood my new system before cleaning up and heading out.

This was my 2nd time using Good Tidings in an emergency plumbing situation. I also recommended them for a HVAC issue at a friends house awhile back.Brian was awesome. Not only a nice guy who I got along well with personally, but he knew exactly where he was going and what he was doing diagnosing and fixing my issue. We had a few severe blockages that were causing flooding issues in my family room last night and by 7:30 this morning, Brian had arrived, by 8 the issues were diagnosed and by 9 everything was fixed and he was on his way.They are very Covid safe. Brian kept his distance, wore his mask and did everything he could to clean up after himself, which I cant say about every plumbing service I have used. The only time I had to get close was to sign the IPad quickly.Its not necessarily the cheapest service out there, but if you want a job done quickly and correctly, it rarely is. They are very up front with their pricing, which is really the most important thing. They make sure you know what youre looking at before they start doing anything.Just enjoyed a nice hot shower without fear of flooding my family room again.Thanks again Brian! Hope to not need another plumber for a long time, but when I do, I plan to call Good Tidings.P.S. if you have regular unavoidable plumbing issues as we have had, sign up for their VIP program. It will cost you a few bucks up front, but it does take down the bills pretty substantially. Im glad I did last time. From my first contact with this company (Luke) they were polite, responsive to my needs and punctual. They included several call backs letting me know who was coming for my service request, including a picture and bio of the individual. When Steven arrived he was extremely receptive to my needs, polite and very respectful of my new home. He even put a company mat outside my front door to wipe his feet as he came and went to his truck for various items he needed for my repair. I needed my central air system to be repaired. I called GoodTidings and it was fixed the following day. Very friendly staff on the phone, and excellent service. Im back to having a cool interior!They did an excellent job. I put them in my contact list as the go-to guys for anything related to my AC, plumbing, and heating.

From the first phone call to the completion of the job, each employee was courteous and interested in our situation. They arrived when they said they would (even on New Year’s Eve, they accommodated our schedule). Everything was explained thoroughly, including options for the repair/replacement of our water heater. Weve always been served well by Good Tidings. The employees are friendly and polite and know what theyre doing. My only objection is that they always try to sell us something more than we were looking for. Since it happens every time I cant tell if we really need whatever it is or if its just a sales pitch. Other than that, I can really recommend them.

Good Tidings saved my vacation! I had a house sitter at my home with my 4 dogs when I got a text from her that the heat had stopped working. Quickly I called my regular heating company and they did not respond to my call. Stressed, I began googling heating companies in the neighboring towns and was impressed with Good Tidings website. Not only did they respond immediately but they went right over to my house and got the heat working temporarily because they had to order a part for a permanent solution. They came back when the part came in and did get the heat working. After a few days we had another issue and they cam right over again and found another faulty part. When that part came in it was installed and all is perfect. I will now be switching to Good Tidings for our heat, cooling and plumbing.

BE SUPER CAREFUL WITH THE OWNER & HIS FIRM. Consider strongly using someone else. The $49.99 charge that allegedly comes off the bill didnt for me. I had a simple query that I needed clarified. The owner called me, (David McKenna) shouted over and berated me. Told me I was droning on and the customer is not always correct. My kids were in the car listening and were shocked. This household has been a user of Good Tidings for as long as I remember. After this appalling experience, I have ended the relationship. Plenty of other firms out there. Use them.

Do not be fooled by all of the public reviews. Dont worry though, if you call them once, they will continue to follow up with you weekly making you think they are great- and then when you give them the job they wont show. Great customer service. I called for a small service job, was told definitely October 31st someone will arrive, and they will call to confirm at 7am that morning. 10/31- no called me, I call in at 11am, to follow up and they claim they were never definitely coming, only trying to fit me in the schedule. They then put me on the schedule for that Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. STILL no one has come, or called. To top it off, they charge $49.99 regardless to come estimate the job. Taking my business to small business.

After an emergency with our water heater left our basement flooded we contacted this company for help. They got to us in less than 90 minutes and immediately recognized the water heater was done. Working by himself Stephen was able to remove the existing water heater, bring it upstairs and store it on the side of our house in the event the insurance adjuster needed to examine it. He then presented us with options for a replacement detailing many different payment structures. Knowing nothing about plumbing myself I deferred to his opinion and appreciated that he didn’t just go straight to the most expensive option, rather a middle one that also includes an air conditioning tune up at a discounted rate. Stephen then worked well into the night installing the replacement and insuring we were fully operational. A few days later a different member of their team came by to pick up the old heater. They emailed me a profile with a picture of the person who would be coming, which I very much appreciated from a security standpoint.My entire experience with this company had been phenomenal. Considering my interactions with them were coming at a catastrophic time for my home, they really did a great job working around that chaos as my basement was still flooded the entire time the work was being done. Stephen was as professional, courteous and knowledgeable as you would want from anyone working in your home. I have a few non-emergency plumbing jobs around the house and I am glad I’ve put them off because I’d rather they go to Good Tidings than anyone else.

Good Tidings has taken care of HVAC, etc. for my mother and myself for a good number of years. The technicians are professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind! All options as well as VIP service are discussed. If a repair or installation becomes rather involved, payment plans are offered. We’ve never been disappointed with their work. I have used this company many times over the years for either heating problems or clogged drains. They are very professional, clean and gives 2 hour window on when they will arrive. Steven has been here multiple times and I cannot say anything bad about him. He comes in with a smile and is so polite. Whatever he works on, he leaves the area spotless. We noticed our hot water heater leaking on the evening of July 3rd. We thought wed never find someone to help us on a holiday. We called Good Tidings that evening. They had an actual person there to answer the phone. She said she would dispatch a technician first thing in the morning. Great communication via email, text and phone. Brian & Mike were very polite, took the time to explain our options. They were able to replace our hot water heater immediately which was a relief to us. They did a neat and clean job. We were very happy! We also appreciated that there was not a holiday surcharge. Very good customer service.
