Very good mechanics and fair prices

We’ve taken two different vehicles to the men up at Pitstop. They got the issues resolved quickly, provided detailed information of how they fixed it and ways to prevent certain things from happening again. They are always very polite and have never made me feel stupid for “being a woman” like other repair shops around town. Another thing they have going for them is the cost for repairs.. they are extremely affordable and reasonable. Will definitely be coming here until they decide to close their doors. This is the best place to get any car work you need done. I drive up to Claremore from Galveston Texas just to get work done. Very honest and wont just take your money! Have been coming to Pit stop since my parents moved to Claremore in 2004. Dave is the best and I mean the best in town!

Great shop! You want an honest person to work on your vehicle take it to Pit Stop in Claremore. The only place that I take all of my vehicles.

These guys are wonderful.

We brought our vehicle in to have an 02 sensor changed. His technician ended up changing the wrong one. So while we were on our way to meet a potential buyer for the vehicle the light came back on and ruined the sale (theyd driven 30 minutes to meet us). My wife called the shop the next day to ask if they could take a look at it and we were told we would be charged labor for their time to investigate. That is their choice, but we didnt appreciate that idea -- they wouldve then charged us for fixing something they shouldve done correctly the first time -- so we took it to another shop, which is when we found out they changed the wrong one. So far, not a big deal -- honest mistake.We asked for a refund and were told by the owner that he would refund the labor but not the part unless we were able to bring it in. What? They had last had the part so that made no sense. During our conversation one of his techs suddenly remembered they still had the part (over a week later) so he told us that he would refund labor and parts if we brought in the new sensor theyd installed. Great, so we paid the other shop to remove it. Multiple attempts to get in touch with the owner while getting the run around -- hell be here at 1p, we get there and hes not there, probably 10-15 attempts over the course of a week or so. Somehow even though hes out of the shop, hes left no one with the authority to give us our money back, etc.Finally, after a couple of weeks of this we get a hold of him and he tells us that after some thought HE HAS CHANGED HIS MIND and will only refund the labor because you shouldve brought it back to us. We can take our vehicle wherever wed like, but beyond that he went back on his word, which is really the point of this review. He had also told me during a previous transaction that he would be happy to take parts back and give a refund if the part does not solve the presenting problem, but apparently thats not the case. If the owner of this shop is willing to go back on his word that tells me everything I need to know about how they do business. If he had never agreed to refund the part, fine, although we still would not have been happy, but now were out of pocket the labor for the part removal as well.

These guys are like the rock and roll stars of auto repair. Daves the greatest he truly cares about every person that walks through the door and thats unusual in this day and age. Hes got some good guys working for him and his always giving me good service. If things arent just right I can bring it back and hell fix it up so it is but that hasnt happened but once. The Price is Right theyre not cheap because the work is great not good. Id recommend Pitstop to anyone who can get in they usually have a weight but this time they took me right away and got me on the road immediately same day! The build a relationship with you too so I recommend it highly.

Ive worked next door to Pitstop and Dave for 6 yrs now and ive used him as a mechanic for all my cars. I even sent my mom in to get her vehicle fixed by him. I trust him fully with all my friends, family, and vehicles! We even bought a car from him that we loved until my gf got wrecked into :(
