This is after two weeks and still strong. I requested when getting my nails done that I am a busy very mother and I am rough with my hands that I would pay if a stronger acrylic powder was used, so he did theyre efficient fast and they know what theyre doing I love my nails. A closed mouth does not get fed you have to ask for what you want.

My first experience was on July 4, 2020. I went in for a fill in, the wait was long which was understandable considering that it was a Holiday. I waited over 2 1/2hrs. At which point a group of 5-8 ladies came in and all priority was shifted from clients that were waiting to their group. I asked prior do they do appointments and the answer was no, but clearly they do. Make a long story short, I returned on several occasions for fill ins and repairs as needed. My last visit was one repair, at which point afterward I noticed my nail was turning colors, it was not lifting and I do not work with water. At first I thought maybe some paint was transferred, but my nails were clear, clearly that was not the case! I removed the nail only to discover Gangrene! So I began to eye ball my other nails since they were not colored and found the same on another nail. They were not lifting. I called to inform them of this, and was told water may cause it if the nail is lifting and told I would need to pay to have the others removed and to soak the nails in Peroxide. Moral of the story be careful who you place your nail care in and check reviews! Today is Oct 13, 2020.

My experience is always great at University Nails. Jack who does my pedicure and manicure always does me well. He takes his time, and if anything needs to be fixed he fixes it without any complaints. Way to go University Nails

Staff is very friendly. Check-in process is not too clear. Visited town for a friends wedding and needed a mani. Tried their Gel, it didn’t even last a full week. I want to give a better rating, my experience wasn’t bad, it was just not the best. Price is decent.

I paid $153 for a fill in and a pedicure. My nails popped of 2 days later and the polish was sloppy and inconsistent on my toes

They did a poor job on my fill in. The way the tech polished the gel on my nails was very childlike and sloppy. This was by far one of the worst establishments I’ve been too. Will never return!

They do a good job every time. And, you can get your nails done nice for under $60. Expect a wait on certain days because they do get crowded quick. Or can be crowded before you get there leaving you with a 20 minute wait time.

Best Pedicure ever. The gentleman was patient and attentive. We talked and laughed like old friends. The massage chair was definitely a plus. I will be returning.

They did not give up until they were perfect to my liking! I love this place.

Nail skills are great. The sevice could have been better. I called for an appointment 20 minutes before arriving and ended up waiting 2-2.5 hours just have my nails soaked and removed.... Then the nail technician tried use the excuse of my nails being too thick and that they were short staffed once he was able to service me.... He could have explained that over the phone instead of encouraging me to keep an appointment that didnt matter once I actually got there.

They really give your nails a good buff even with just getting a polish change

Im from NC and I got the WORSE manicure ever from here. The techs were very friendly and nice but the job was below mediocre. I got a gel polish manicure and the polish was clumpy and messy.

First I arrived at 10 the first person there I went right into the pedicure chair. He was getting ready to start on my feet and a lady comes in and sits next to me. He stop and tell me to soak. He starts on her because she a regular and just wants a polish. Which turned into a sanding of her toes. Other workers start to come but none comes to finish or start on me. I sat in that chair so long I started getting leg cramps. Needless to say I walked out at 12 noon missing half of my big toe nail. Because he filed it to lowI still have him a tip and let him even though I not satisfied I tip also. But I will NEVER BE BACK

I never ever write reviews and if I do its because I want everyone to know how awesome a place is.... Not the case here. I waited for an hour to get a full set ( that I never even got ) a lady without an appointment walked in an hour after I arrived and they took her first to do her nails. Thats when I walked out. But while waiting I have never experienced an atmosphere so unprofessional ! Dont waste your time or money. By the way their sign out front and inside says a full set is 28 and he charged everyone 33$

I swear the God they are the worst. They call it manicure but it was everything but manicure. After they finished, i went to my dorm and i cleaned it up and re-did my own manicure amk.

This shop is terrible !! Not only did they rush and cut my finger my polish did not look smooth certain spots had no color && then as soon as I left a nail broke. && when I called in he said they would fix it just come before 630 in which I could not so I come the next day and was ordered to pay $5 for them not doing my nails correctly

This place was dirty af. The lady was way too rough with my cuticles and she didnt even soak them first. Then she insisted I pay her cash before she put polish on my nails, I think so that I couldnt get my money back if I was unsatisfied. Which I was. Dont go here. Im lucky I didnt get hep c

My friends and I went to get a full set & w/in a week there was a layer on top of the polish that you could see deteriorating w/ a dark outline. It happened to all of our nails which says something about their service. The only time I experienced good service was when I went to get acrylic (from another salon) removed.

Hannah is the bomb she did get some polish on my fingers. She tried to clean it up. However I can get around that, because she did everything else just the way I love it!!! I can get the polish off myself.

I came in and paid for a gel fill. It was my first fill, so I didnt know what to expect. I was very unhappy with the results. Uneven, on my cuticles, and rough edges. I went somewhere else for my next fill, and they told me I had shellac on, and when I saw her putting the base on my nails again, I realized that I only got my polish sanded off and changed (to shellac, not gel!) at University Nails but was charged for a fill. Never going back.

They were rude! They told my friend she should go back to where she came from! They did a poor job on one of the girls nails and they were deserving youngsters that were given a holiday gift. They ruined it! They were rude and ugly. We will never go back! I dont usually give negative reviews. But this was outrageous! DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! They may not even be licensed! Couldnt see them clearly displayed!

Very rude & ghetto!! I will never.went to get my nails done..I wanted moody nails with glow in the dark acrylic, they were over priced with both I would have ended up paying about 60-70 $ for nails. After the almost 2hr wait & he has removed my top coat to start my nails he tells me he doesnt have time to do a design on my nails ..so now I dnt even want my nails done.but he charges me 10$ cause he removed my polish??? Really even after his rude & incomplete service!!! Stay away!!!

Worse nail shop in Cincinnati dirty facility,poor quality and unprofessional.

I went to this salon for a simple acrylic nail set and shellac polish and was over charged on my debit card by $100 for this service. I Disputed the charge with my bank and went back to the salon to make the owner aware. I discovered the charge a day before thanksgiving so she assured me that the issue would be resolved early, on Friday morning. I called the salon on Friday afternoon and come to find out, the owner lied. She left to go out of town TODAY! and will not return until Monday. The level of unprofessionalisim is mind blowing and i would not recommend seeking any type of service from this establishment.

The pedicure was really relaxing and the customer service was awesome, I would definitely recommend to someone looking for a more intimate salon.

Over charged my card and was never contacted to make it right not even after I brought it to them.

Extremely bad service. He kept slap my hands and feet insideof using his words to communicate. During one of the slaps he cut me. It was very dirt as well, left with old acrylic dust on me and I didnt even get the stuff. Polish job was bad on both hands and feet. He also some how painted the cotton residue on my nails. You wont be happy here.

After waiting til 730 to be seen, the owner (female ) did a horrible job on my nails. They are all uneven and lumpy and my Polish is full of bubbles. I called to get a discount to have them fixed and was told to go somewhere else. I do not recommend. The worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Ive had many problems with this nail salon. I wouldnt recommend anyibe here. I have been coming her for about 2 months and its always a problem. Once i had a kid not certified polish my nails because they where to busy to finish. Then 2 weeks later the younger lady grinds my damn nails way to much. Not even a week after i had to get them takeb iff cyz i was in to much pain. Come to find out she grinded through my nail. When i went vack and questioned ger she tried to tell me she didnt do it like i dont know who done my nails. She never apologized jyst denied and continued to talk in whatever languageShe speaks. I will never go here and wouldnt recommend you to use the young girl. She is careless and unprofessional. If the option was no stars this place should win first place. Waste if money because twice i had to go get designs fixed because they ignored it. I repeat dont use that damn lady. I gave heard other customers complaining on her but i still gave her the benefit of dought. Never again.

I recently had the worst encounter here of my life. This was not my first visit; more like my 5th or 6th. I usually get gel polish. However the last person before this time really messed my nails up. They were so bad that this time that I was forced to get artificial nails to extend the length. I had never had my nails done by Ann before. First of all she cut my real nail down so short that one of them began to bleed. She said opps, but did not apologize. To make a very long story short, she did a sloppy job with my polish and the nails were totally uneven in length. I was hesitant to ask her to polish the sides of my nails in which she had failed to do. She sent me over to the dryer station. I showed my nails to another customer and she was so out done that she begged me to say something to her. When I did she mumbled something and walked right away. She did come back and hurriedly polished the sides. Because I did not want to sign my receipt until after my nails were done; simply because I wasnt sure how they turn out and what percent of a tip she deserved I told her Id hang on to it. She snatched it out of my hands. Began to to talk in a high pitched voice in Viennese or whatever. The worst experience I think of my life. I was not only embarrassed but also humiliated. I refuse to ever return to the place and I advise you not to either. My first few visits were ok; however they say Ann runs the place. Ann was horrible!!!! University Nails is horrible!!!!!

I dont ever do reviews but this place went out there way to help me and MISS LEE WAS SO SWEET AND KIND!!!! I MANAGE A STORE AND COULDNT LEAVE UNTIL THEIR CLOSING TIME SO THEY STAYED OPEN FOR ME. sHE DIDNT COMPLAIN ABOUT BEING THEIR SO LATE AND MADE SURE I RELAXED WAS COMFORTABLE AND REALLY HAPPY. I THINK I HAVE FOUND MY HIDDEN JEM OF CINCINNATI
