This is our go to music store. We drive 35 minutes to get to this store, bypassing others cause of the great service and quick instrument repair/cleaning turnaround time.

This place is incredible! I have been a few times the past few months and the service is always killer. I went in today after the bridge on my banjo collapsed. They came and got my instrument, took it into the shop, fixed and tuned my banjo! I continue to be very impressed with this shop. I definitely recommend 5/5bjm

I really enjoy visiting Willis music when Im in town. They have a large selection of pianos and sheet music for many types of instruments. No high pressure from the staff and they dont mind me playing some of the pianos even though Im not currently in the market for a new one.

I am a 49 year old guitar player that has been at it a while. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING is more annoying or irritating to a guitar player who is looking to hear and feel what a high end guitar is capable of doing, then having a young, arrogant male salesperson hovering around me and just staring at me. And more ... having him state that if you want to play a guitar ask us to take it down off the wall for you. This is the only store in Cincinnati that I have experienced this in. I will not be back. Something has changed at this facility. The professionalism is gone. If I was a teenager I could understand what that need to assist would be but not someone who is older and respectful of quality instruments.The management of this store needs to sit down with these young men and explain how to sell guitars. Good guitars sell themselves by allowing the buyer to have freedom to compare instruments. This means letting me handle the instrument. If I break it I’ll buy it but that hasn’t happened yet.

The manager did a good job helping this newbie fit a guitar to her body, but I was uncomfortable and felt a little like he was man-splaining to me. On my next visit, Christin was great, making me feel at ease trying out different guitars, and taking the time to find out a little more about how my guitar would fit into my life. She was by far the most helpful guitar salesperson I met at several stores around town. I will be coming to her for all my gear needs.

The folks at Willis music in Kenwood were really helpful. What I wanted wasn’t in stock, but once they knew a delivery was coming they called me to inform. Keep up the good work!

I like that there is a recital room in the back with an amazing sounding Steinway D! Go listen to it, you wont be disappointed! In fact you may leave with one if youre not careful!

I went to Willis Music probably the week before school started – I completely forgot we needed an instrument. I was so worried they wouldn’t be able to help me with such short notice, but they went above & beyond. They explained care & mechanics of the instrument to my child & myself, & already knew what other materials we would need just by knowing what school he is attending. I couldn’t have asked for better service, & I can’t recommend them enough!

I bought a guitar there yesterday and the sales staff was friendly and attentive. I played it for a gig, and while the instrument performed as advertised, it wasnt the sound I was hoping for. I brought it back to the store and a different but equally friendly staff member took it back after a brief examination with no questions asked. Would def shop here again.

Cool music store beneath street level in Kenwood. Hard to spot. If you need it they have it. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Little on the pricey side.

I took a trombone in to get fixxed,, my order was lost in the process so Willis Music gave me info to the company they sent my trombone for repair. I spoke to that company (Cook Instrument Repair) several times. Because the age of my trombone, Cook was unable to obtain the parts needed. Four to six weeks later, Willis telephoned me stating they were unable to repair... I informed Willis I was well aware of the issues. When returning to Willis to pick up my unfixed trombone, Willis demanded me to pay them a $20 bench fee. This was never discussed prior to me gett8ng my trombone. Cook did the heavy lifting and did not get paid, Willis did nothing and expected payment. I refused to pay and politely explained what they could do with the trombone... then left the store with my son.If there have a bench fee in the event you cannot repair an instrument, be up front with customers.

Best music store in the tri-state. I have just recently picked my guitar up after a medical event caused me to forget how to play guitar after 15 years of playing and singing.I called/visited many shops to try and explain how important is was for me mentally to get music back in my life, and never was given the time of day, or even five minutes from anyone to just listen to what Im trying to accomplish for my kids and wife, and why.Kevin who works at this location took time to talk with me twice on the phone, and then listen to me speak for a moment in person to understand what I was trying to do, and what it meant to me. He directed me to an amazong microphone and explained how to properly seperate my vocals and acoustics to create a recording for my kids worth holding.Thank you Kevin. For any musicians who need music to function who have read this far into the post lol.. This is where you need to go!

Well, that is that last time I ever walk into a Willis ever again. Just visited your Kenwood location (couldnt find a fb page for it). The male employee acted extremely annoyed by us and answered all of my questions with very short and rude answers. While in the acoustic room, I was looking at and playing a Fender Kingsman and he stood in tne door way and stared at me, never once asking if I needed anything. We immediately just left. I will definitely take my money elsewhere, probably to Mikes Music. Easily $700 bucks you guys lost today due to rude behaviour and crappy customer service.
